Best Ice Cream Shops in San Jose and the South Bay Area | Eater SF

"In the heart of San Jose’s Vietnam Town, you’ll find Marco Polo, the home of handcrafted gelato infused with fruits or classic Italian flavors. With natural ingredients, customers can taste ripe fruit chunks mixed in the ice cream itself. The shop was founded in San Francisco more than 40 years ago by a chemist who studied the gelato creation process and wanted to churn gelato with an extraordinarily smooth and rich texture. Customers get most excited about Marco Polo’s special Asian-inspired fruity flavors like durian, pandan, and guava, though the shop’s nutty flavors like pistachio and arcobaleno are also a hit." - Cathy Park

Good selection of ice cream 🍦 with more intense flavors, friendly service, cash only since credit card option was not working. Bathroom 🚽 also out of order.

Google
First time here so I ended up sampling all the flavors on their sign except soursop. They were all tasty and I ended up getting lychee, guava, and mango. From the sample, mango was fine with the combo but it definitely fell short of the lychee and guava flavor. Durian would have been a great choice if I was going for one flavor. If I was in the area, I wouldn't mind swing by again!

Google
Hidden gem of San Jose Viettown with a wide variety of exotic ice cream flavors for a reasonable price and generous portion. It’s a place I proudly bring guests from out of town to visit. Ice cream: I usually get the small scoop which comes with 1-2 flavors for $6.55. My go to is the pandan leaf flavor with a mix of either lychee, green tea, or Thai tea. Even for picky eaters, they will have the right flavor for you. Service: Even with only one server and a decently long line, the service was patient, quick, and efficient. They allow customers multiple samples.

Google
Marco Polo in San Jose is a go-to spot for anyone craving bold, tropical gelato flavors. Located in Vietnam Town, the shop offers a wide range of Asian-inspired options like durian, jackfruit, pandan, and Thai tea—all made with real ingredients and a creamy texture that’s hard to beat. The staff are friendly and patient, offering samples so you can explore before choosing. The vibe is casual and welcoming, with indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. It’s perfect for a post-lunch treat or a late-night dessert run. The prices are fair for the quality, and the variety makes it easy to find something new each visit.

Google
I’ve been to the location in SF many times. Would come with a few pints. Now that I live in SJ, so glad that there is a location here. I’ve been here a few times and will always order the jackfruit (langka). I’ve also had the mango which is also very good but jackfruit is hands down my favorite. Wanted to try the new honeydew melon flavor but apparently it’s been out of stock for a few weeks. I guess that gives me another reason to come back haha Friendly staff… lets you try samples of the other flavors.

Google
This is not a joke. This is hands down the best ice cream in the world. Truly amazing, perfectly made and flavoured. Tastes exactly like you’re eating the juiciest and creamiest fruit in the world. Fresh and non-synthetic taste. Not too sweet and not too bland. The worker was kind enough to let us sample to our heart’s content. Be sure to try their Pandan or durian. Love how they let you choose two flavours!

Google
this is such a hidden gem! it has the most amazing flavors; like guava, durian, soursop, and mangosteen. really friendly staff and a cute vibe.

Jovan K.

Google
The ice cream are good but many of the flavors were out, so the options are limited. The best flavors are durian and double chocolate. They have a new flavor, pandan. There is an outdoor seating.

Yelp
Having eaten award winning gelato in Italy, France, Slovenia, ... I have to say that Marco Polo gelato is my top three favorites. Not only it's creamy, it's packed with flavor, and most of all it's perfectly sweetened. The thing that made this place special is the flavors they have. Durian, soursop, jackfruit, ... so tasty and packed with real flavor. Flavors such as coffee, pistachio, ... are equally amazing. If you are in San Jose, you must try this gelato. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
I was excited when we were in this plaza picking up food, and realized I had another bookmark in this plaza too! With the name Marco Polo Italian Ice Cream, you would think this place would serve more traditional flavors, which I suppose it does as well, but where it shines is in its more original flavors. Find Durian, Soursop, Sesame, Pandan Leaf, Thai Tea, Mangosteen, Red Bean, Taro, and so many more! The staff member helping me was really friendly and offered a few samples. I wanted to choose one of more unique flavors, but I came back to the Sesame, which I love as an ice cream flavor. It was outstanding! Next time, I'm in the area, I would love to explore more of the menu and also get the Sesame again!

Yelp
Marco Polo was surprisingly refreshing and good for gelato. The flavors tasted on point and the consistency was nice and soft. I didn't expect gelato from a small ice cream shop in Little Saigon to be pleasantly true to the spirit of gelato. As for the initial ordering, I'm disappointed that we weren't asked cone or cup. It was just assumed we wanted a cup when my little one actually wanted a cone--less messy I guess. We stayed safe on the flavors and their black sesame and double chocolate (which was my favorite) were home runs! The mocha and guava were good. Their lychee was good, but I the soft and subtle flavor was quickly dominated by the other flavors. I wanted to try durian, but my wife quickly veto'd that one. I'd visit again and I'd actually like to try the Marco Polo in SF, where we were told was where the gelato is made and some are transported to the SJ store.

Yelp
Love this place! I was first introduced to this place when I was going to college at UC berkeley. My friend lived in San Francisco and she introduced me to this ice cream store. They sell all kinds of Asian gelato flavors and everything is extremely delicious. I don't remember it being unreasonable in terms of price. They closed the location that used to be open in San Francisco and moved it somewhere else, but it's nice how they have it in San jose. It makes sense because this is like East San Jose so Vietnamese area likes Asian flavors. They have so many varieties like mangosteen, durian, soursop, and others. Next time you're in the area I would definitely recommend going here. The service is pretty good and you can try as many flavors as you want. Everything's also clean and parking is easy.

Yelp
You can really taste the unique fruit flavors here. Jackfruit, mango, coconut, durian, sesame....it's like being in Asia ans picking ice cream flavors. There's no cookies and cream or moose tracks here folks! My friend got the sesame and I think jackfruit...and I got a banana ice cream float with rootbeer. Here me out I think banana and soda taste good, so I stand behind my decision. Easy ordering, friendly sample guy...ice cream in the hot San Jose weather is what keeps me cool.

Yelp
I love Marco Polo! I've been having their ice cream since I was young, including at their location in SF. My favorites growing up were the red bean, taro, and durian flavors. The ice cream texture is velvety and creamy. They aren't icy at all and are full of flavor. I love that they aren't shy with the durian flavor, knowing that most people aren't a fan of durian. The service here is always kind. I've never had an issue with the staff and they will give free samples as wanted. I love how many unique ice cream flavors they have. This location is a bit small inside, so if it's a busier day, you might not find a seat but it's located in a plaza where you can walk and enjoy your ice cream at the same time. I can't wait for my next visit and to try more of their different ice cream flavors!

Yelp
***4.5 stars*** Got a medium size (1-3 flavors) with mango, Thai tea, and green tea flavors. Portions were HUGE, practically got two scoops of each flavor. My most to least favorite was the green tea, Thai tea, and then the mango. Would definitely get the green tea and Thai tea again. Mango flavor wasn't super strong and didn't really have fresh mango flavor. Heard amazing things about the lychee but unfortunately they were out of this when I stopped by on a Sunday evening. The employee was super friendly. Samples were allowed as well. A few tables inside. Would definitely come back to try other flavors!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
A large variety of Asian flavors, which I loved. Have the staples like lychee and black sesame, but also more unique ones like mangosteen. Was able to sample several without feeling rushed. The large size let's you pick up to 4 flavors, which was great. My favorite was guava.

Yelp
This ice cream establishment came in clutch when I was dying in the summer heat between running errands.Marco Polo's location is so convenient, and it's also open until 10pm. When I pulled up, I noticed folks grabbing ice cream and hanging out outside. I walked in and saw a line for a diverse array of gelato flavors -- I settled on a scoop of black sesame (which was *divine*) and the vanilla bean. There are the more traditional Italian gelato flavors (vanilla bean, pistachio, mocha chip, etc), but what makes Marco Polo different is its Asian-inspired ice cream flavors. The shop itself isn't the most inviting place to sit and have ice cream at -- nothing about the decor makes you feel that way, though there are a couple of tables and bench seating. The man helping us with our ice cream offered great customer service, providing us with samples as requested. I'll most definitely be back at Marco Polo to try the other gelato flavors, the next time I have a late night craving.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite spot for ice cream in the entirety of the South Bay. I've been coming here for years, even before they opened up the SJ location. I love the huge variety of unique flavors they have here, some of my many favorites being the mangosteen, soursop, jackfruit, pandan, pistachio, and taro. Would definitely recommend sampling a few of the more unfamiliar flavors before ordering! The service is always very friendly and patient, but also keep the line moving quickly. There are some tables both inside and outside to enjoy the ice cream. Very convenient location in Vietnam Town to grab a post meal sweet treat, though this complex can get pretty packed at times.

Yelp
This is a cool Italian ice cream place located in San Jose in the Vietnamese plaza. Great place to hang out and enjoy the delicious favored ice cream. Refreshing and tasty. And a check it out. Go foodie

Michelle K.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The flavors really do taste like the item. My daughter got lycee and mango and it was such a tropical delight. I like how we got to mix flavors in our cup - not all places allow that. They only had one guy working but he seemed pretty quick. I would definitely come back and try some of their other flavors.

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot with a wide variety of flavors, Marco Polo is the place to be! As a Vietnamese American, it makes me so happy to see an establishment dedicated to creating flavors that everyone can enjoy. It's the perfect place to bring older grandparents and loved ones--and a great way to satisfy a sweet tooth without overwhelming the palate. The gelato isn't overly sweet, which makes it especially enjoyable for the elderly. I've been coming here for years, and you can really taste the quality. The gelato is made with care and never feels cheap or artificial, unlike some other places where the difference is obvious. Marco Polo always feels fresh, simple, and well-crafted. They offer a variety mix of flavors including unique Asian fruits, familiar classics, and creative picks like coffee cognac, Thai tea, pandan leaf, guava, and taro. The selection rotates from time to time, which keeps things exciting and worth coming back for!
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Marco Polo remains to be my favorite gelato place! The ice cream is rich and creamy, not too thick but also not too watery. Service is always good and the ambiance is great! ** I got the ultimate combo: Large Waffle Cone; - Thai tea - Durian - Gauva - Lychee So good!! I've even hauled some ice cream back home to family in Los Angeles, it's that good!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Went here twice, the first on a Friday afternoon and the second on a Sunday afternoon. Both times there was no line, so I could sample flavors and get ice cream quickly. I got the durian/lychee single split scoop ($7.25) the first day and the durian/jackfruit single split scoop the second day. The durian ice cream is probably the best durian ice cream that I've had so far, such a strong durian flavor and not too sweet! My only issue is that the texture is a bit icy, but I loved the strong flavors and how unique they were! I don't think I've ever had mangosteen ice cream here in the states. I wish that there were more ice cream shops like this that sold southeast Asian fruit flavors, it reminded me of the fruits that I ate while growing up. I liked the durian flavor the best, but you probably can't go wrong with any of the flavors. I wish I could try their soursop flavor, but it was sold out both times I was there. I would come back if I'm in the area.

Foodie B.

Yelp
Sesame icecream and durian are the bomb. Bit heavily priced. Needs better to-go lids.

Yelp
Marco Polo Italian Ice Cream located in Vietnam Town. They have more asian-inspired flavors like black sesame, lychee, durian, soursop, mangosteen, jackfruit, pandan leaf, etc. My wife and mom have visited them several times over all these years. Inside seating available with a few tables outside too. The service is friendly and courteous. They offer free samples of their gelato to try. Lychee is always a winner. I was excited to see a couple of new flavors like pandan leaf and honeydew! The pandan leaf really had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, they did not have any honeydew at the moment, as it's very seasonal, so I didn't get to sample that flavor. Next time! Congrats on serving the community for about 10 years at this location.

Yelp
Prices for pints depend on the flavor. Durian flavor is the most expensive at $18.50/pint. 2/5: coffee cognac gelato: This one is more like a sherbet. However, the flavor is very weak, almost watered-down. It has almost no creaminess or body. It's very cold on the tongue. It's super dense, with much less content air than normal gelato. It was downright bad.
google avatar

Yelp
Every friend I've introduced this place to loves it, even the ones who don't care about ice cream/gelato! Marco Polo has yet to let me down. There's a flavor for everyone here, from the fruit lovers to the dessert enjoyers! I recommend sampling if you're on the fence about any flavor. --UPDATED RATINGS-- LYCHEE: 5/5 + MUST try! This is my absolute favorite flavor, and everyone who's tried this ranks lychee high too + Tastes like a fresh lychee, and there's even lychee bits + Literally pairs well with any other fruity flavor GUAVA: 5/5 + MUST try! This easily became a new top flavor for me DURIAN: 5/5 + MUST try! Literally tastes like you're eating a durian + I'd say Maven's Creamery ice cream from Costco is just as good, but the gelato is just more stretchy/chewy STRAWBERRY: 3/5 + No longer a consistent flavor for me. Sample this for sure. It tastes a lot icier and very light on the strawberry + On a good day, it tastes like you're eating a strawberry MANGO: 3.5/5 + No longer a consistent flavor for me. Sample for sure Tasty on a good day, but has a weird aftertaste sometimes + Love the mango chunks in this!

Yelp
We were in the area for lunch and my son had requested Thai tea ice cream for dessert. I ended up ordering a pint of the Thai tea ice cream for to go. The ice cream was quite good. You can definitely taste the Thai tea flavor and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan on the price. I paid around $16 for a pint of ice cream and my wallet isn't too happy about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Marco Polo is probably my favorite ice cream shop ever! They offer a variety of asian fruit flavors that I grew up eating and loving. My go to flavor is always the durian and more recently, the black sesame. I always try to get the red bean flavor, but it's unavailable everytime I visit. My friends love the jackfruit, guava, and pandan flavor. Aside from the incredible taste, the texture of the ice cream is also top notch, very smooth and creamy! I recommend this place to anyone who might want to try different, yet delicious ice cream flavors that are not typical from your usual ice cream shop.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
An absolute amazing place to grab ice cream! There's so many fun flavors! My bestie got pandan, I got lychee, and another bestie for chocolate and a coffee flavor. I got to try a taste of theirs and wow, they were spectacular! Especially the chocolate. I really enjoyed my lychee it was light and refreshing to. Service is typical and to be expected. Ambiance is pretty average nothing too fancy but it's good.
google avatar

Vanny K.

Yelp
Our fave ice cream spot in South Bay. The durian is a must try. It's one of the best, not too sweet and great durian texture. A must try! With several local ice cream shops disappearing, I truly hope the store will be in business forever Let's support their business, y'all!
google avatar

Van N.

Yelp
They offer a wide range of gelato ice cream flavors with free samples before you commit. Staff was nice and patient with us, even when we couldn't decide which flavors to get because they all tasted so good. We ended up going with the tropical fruits like durian, lychee, jackfruit, and soursop, and some of them even had fruit bits in them. I highly recommend this place for ice cream lovers! This place is located in Vietnam Town, so parking can be hard to find during the weekend.

Yelp
This is the best gelato store with exotic flavors. So nice to have them in San Jose. We used to drive to SFO for Marco Polo. I got the black sesame and lychee. It was so good. The lychee was refreshing and not heavy and sweet. The black sesame was creamy and delicious. The store was bright with a 3 tables inside and seating outside. Service was very friendly.
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
I was craving ice cream and saw this place pop up on Yelp. It was late (9pm) so there was no wait. I was in and out in 5 minutes. The guy behind the counter was friendly. I love the variety they had. Several flavors that some would consider exotic (durian, soursop, etc.) were available, but I opted to try my favorite flavor - black sesame! Great texture and flavor. I'd happily go back to try the rest of their flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
Marco Polo Italian Ice Cream is the best thing to ever happen to me ever. My sister, a former SF resident, introduced me to Marco Polo many moons ago, and I have been looking forward to going again. We stopped by the SJ location for the first time and. It was worth it. Smooth, creamy, perfect. Instant dopamine. Thai tea ice cream is all i've ever needed in my life. Thank you Marco Polo. #Cream #Ate #ALPHAZ
google avatar

Janette N.

Yelp
Marco Pollo is now my new favorite ice cream spot in the area for it's extensive asian flavors and ice cream consistency. The ice cream is very smooth and has this silky yet creamy texture to it that only makes sense once you try it. I tried the mangosteen, lychee, pistachio, and black sesame. All were delicious but the lychee and black sesame stood out most to me. I can't wait to return and eventually try all the flavors! If you're from OC the best comparison I can think of is wanderlust. However the flavors here are more authentic but not as "creative."
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
Came in after date night on Friday and it was the best way to end the night! Service was great! We couldn't decide on what flavor and thank you to Brandon he was very friendly and helpful and he encouraged us to sample some flavors! All of them were yummy but we ended up with: - Large lychee, durian, mangosteen, & soursop And a couple pints.. We will be coming back! It's our new favorite spot and thanks again Brandon!!
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
Great ice cream spot in VN town with unique flavors! I got the mangosteen and green tea and I loved the green tea flavor. The mangosteen was unique and refreshing. The shop is small but there is some seating. I would recommend this spot to everyone!
google avatar

Amber N.

Yelp
This place is great to come to with friends and family. I love the different unique flavors they have like durian, lychee and black sesame that you don't normally see with other places. They offer great service with many samples to try. It's quick and easy. There is seating inside too! For the small cup you can have two different flavors. $6.00 for a small cup. I recommend this anyone!
google avatar

Yelp
Hello everyone review 32 now, Marco Polo is very tasty, the ice cream flavors are unique and it does not taste artificial, the price is right and the people working are always fun and nice 9/10 would recommend

Yelp
Hands down my favorite Asian ice cream shop in the bay! I've been going to Marco Polo since their original shop in Sunset and this location is just as good. Consistent quality, flavor, and texture. My favorite combination is durian at the bottom and lychee on top. It's just absolutely divine!
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
This is a my favorite Bay Area ice cream. A close friend of mine introduced it to me. Entire family and friends love this place. I always like their sesame, lychee durian. I occasionally take it home The service is always excellent and point . The ambience is calm and relaxing music to chill with Ice Cream.
google avatar

Yelp
This was one of my favorite ice cream spots in SF so I was shocked when I walked by it while in the area. Obviously I had to get some since I didn't realize it would be here, and there wasn't a busy crowd on a Monday afternoon. My favorites were the black sesame and taro, but they unfortunately didn't have the taro today. I sampled a few of their other flavors but none seemed to hit the same, so ended up settling for my go-to mint chocolate chip. The sesame was great, strong nutty flavor and so yummy. The mint was good but the texture wasn't my favorite - it was really runny and melted quickly. I also tried some of my friend's guava and soursop flavors which I actually thought were quite good. Maybe their fruit flavors are better. A good quick desert fix for sure though!

Yelp
Who doesn't love gelato or Italian ice cream on a hot summer day? Especially when you come to an Asian plaza! Right smack in this plaza they have gelato. So decided to give it try. Food: Now of all the things I've seen that is gelato it's always some American version of it. I've actually never seen a place that sold gelato that was all Asian exotic flavors. I mean please!!! They have DURIAN gelato too! So of course had to come in and to see what other flavors they had. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't try the mangosteen though. Never ate it before so was just disappointed that I couldn't try it. So instead I got a pandan/soursop and a guava flavor. The soursop had some bits of fruit in it too. Pandan flavor is always yummy and the guava tasted like guava. So this place is pretty good. Service: Easy to talk to and quick and easy to order. If a flavor runs out, they offer it in pints as well! Ambiance: Small shop but you can fit a couple of bodies inside. You can also eat it while on the go too. Would I come again? Yeah, to get my gelato fix and maybe try out durian and mangosteen.

Yelp
Another spot we found thanks to Yelp! We decided that we wanted ice cream after dinner so gave this spot a try. The place was empty except for two people in front of us when we arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday, so we didn't have to wait too long. I was surprised that they had different Asian fruit flavors, so I decided to sample three - lycee, mangosteen, and pandan. I ended up getting all three because I couldn't decide on two. You can get 1-3 flavors for the medium cup. The ice creams were all super tasty but the price is a bit on the higher side. For 3 small scoops, it came out to $7.95 plus tax. I understand inflation and all but dont you think it's overpriced for some ice cream??
google avatar

Shayla H.

Yelp
Came here for a late night sweet tooth craving. When you enter Vietnam Town, it is towards the right side that is closer to Grand Century. Marco Polo offers a variety of Asian flavored gelatos like Black Sesame and Thai. Love the rich consistency.
google avatar

Fiona C.

Yelp
I bookmarked this place a long time ago, so I decided to try it out today! There are some seats both indoors and outdoors. Their ice cream flavors are unique. For example, I haven't seen mangosteen ice cream before. They have a lot of Asian-inspired flavors like Thai tea, green tea, lychee, and guava. We decided to go with a medium today with three flavors: Mangosteen, Green Tea, and Pandan. Small: 1-2 flavors Medium: 1-3 flavors Large: 1-4 flavors All the flavors are very delicious. It's refreshing and light, and you can easily finish the whole cup yourself. Perfect for the summer (or any season, really) or dessert after lunch/dinner. Will check out the other flavors next time, can't wait.
google avatar

Elena C.

Yelp
First off, this is not an Italian gelato place. There are zero traditional flavors, so good luck getting your stracciatella ice cream on. Once I got over this surprise, I decided to still give it a shot and asked for the honeydew and lychee. They were out of both. Strike two I settled for soursop and guava. The guava was actually decent, but the soursop didn't taste at all like the fruit. It was move vanilla than anything. I was surprised to find some pieces of the fruit in the ice cream, but unfortunately those didn't add much flavor. Overall disappointing experience for the price.

Yelp
WHEN: 4:30pm I learned about Marco Polo back when it was only located in SF, and I thought I take my family here since it's so close by to where we're already having lunch. This gelato spot is known for their asian flavors and the quality bar is quite up there. They have seatings both indoors and outdoors. There are 3 sizes to choose from, cup or cone: SMALL - $5.75 - 1-2 Flavors MEDIUM - $7.60 - 1-3 Flavors LARGE - $8.65 - 1-4 Flavors They have 3 kinds of cones to choose from: Waffle Sugar Plain (the kind that tastes like styrofoam) Here's what I had: LARGE - $8.65 - 1-4 Flavors I saw this as an opportunity to do kind of like a sampler platter and went for those flavors: + PANDAN + GUAVA + JACKFRUIT + COCONUT All flavors were wonderful and easily enjoyed. I did also have a 5th flavor but it had to be kept separately: DURIAN (Medium) - $7.60 The durian they used is imported from Vietnam and boy was it good! They also have pints available to take home, and priced based on the flavor: $13.00 - Regular Flavors $15.00 - Guava, Soursop, Jackfruit, Mangosteens, Pistacio $17.50 - Durian My family of 10 enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here as we were around great company and great gelato flavors!

Yelp
Was excited to try this place but it was very underwhelming. They offer primarily Vietnamese flavors rather than Italian. Keep that in mind if you are seeking Italian gelato, this place would not be good for you. The portions and prices are okay and they have a good amount of different flavors to try. We ordered 4 flavors: Banana Walnut (best in my opinion) Thai Tea Strawberry Vanilla We sampled the black sesame and the nutella flavor and they were not that good :( I would go again if I was in the area but I would not make the drive out just for this ice cream.
google avatar

Liz C.

Yelp
If you like Asian inspired flavored ice cream, Marco Polo will not disappoint. After reading reviews that Marco Polo offers pandan ice cream, I was sold. Located in the Vietnamese plaza in East San Jose, we came on a weekday afternoon and there was no line. Their menu includes how many different flavors you can get per size (example: size small, 2 flavors). We decided to share a small and the individual working did not skimp out on portion. I of course got the pandan and we also decided to try the lychee. Both ice cream flavors tasted naturally, were creamy, and not too sweet. The lychee had bits and pieces of real lychee as well! Overall, no complaints - delicious ice cream perfect on a summer day.

Yelp
Hmm... wasn't too particularly impressed by the ice cream for the price that I had paid. It was about ~$6 for a small (pre tax and tip), and the ice cream was already melting by the time the employee had handed me the cup from behind the counter. You're able to sample the flavors before ordering, and you're also able to split flavors in a small, which I appreciated. I ordered a small with Pandan and Lychee flavors. The pandan was okay, and the lychee was pretty tasty. It was very sweet and refreshing, but as previously mentioned, had melted very fast and it quickly became unenjoyable. There are a couple of tables outside of the store, where you're able to rest and enjoy your ice cream. Not 100% sure if there's space indoors to dine.

Yelp
WHOA an ice cream shop with Asian inspired flavors in the Bay! I've missed this quite a bit since moving up from SoCal, where we were spoiled with Wanderlust. We heard about this shop through a recommendation from a friend who tried it recently and raved about it. So naturally, we had to check it out. The selection of flavors definitely overwhelmed us, but it was also our chance to sample flavors we wouldn't find anywhere else! Mangosteen, lychee, durian, jackfruit, pandan leaf, soursop, taro, green tea, guava... so many unique ice cream flavors! I've never tried durian and soursop prior to this, but this shop gave me an opportunity to experience their flavors! The employee was definitely nice to let us sample many flavors (luckily there was no one behind us!), and we really appreciated his help in explaining some of those flavors. We both ended up getting small ice cream scoops, which allowed for up to 2 flavors. I got durian & pandan leaf, and my boyfriend got mangosteen & lychee. We loved all 4 flavors and of course we shared with each other. There was a ton of flavor in each bite, the ice cream consistency was very smooth, and not overly sweet! We both agreed that if we're in the area again, we would love to come back and order again! Cost: -Small ice cream (1-2 scoops) = $6

Yelp
If you're looking for a late-night sweet, Marco Polo offers amazing Asian flavors to try. The consistency is smooth, creamy, and a little icy, not your typical ice cream. I love their mangosteen and guava! Like where else can you get mangosteen as an ice cream flavor? UGH, can't get enough.

Yelp
Delicious gelato with tropical fruits choices. You can't be disappointed with any choice. They are so addictive and just so good

Yelp
This is a cute little spot located inside the Vietnam Town shopping center. They had a lot of different varieties to choose from, but I think my favorite was the lychee ice cream. I wanted to get the black sesame too, but I was sharing with my kids and my daughter wanted chocolate chip (which was also pretty good)

Yelp
Great potion and good taste! We tried multiple different tastes and the server is patient to all of our requests. The music is pretty casual and you can sit down and enjoy your food right away.
