Have had MANY meals here, rest assured each meal gets better EVERY time! Marco & Billy do a grand job of making you feel welcome and their outstanding service is tops. The chefs make each meal with that Old School love like my Nona used to make. God Rest her soul! Our favorites, Lasagna, Fettucine Alfredo, their daily soups, and Eggplant Parmigana. Don’t forget the Garlic Bread & Caesar Salad….and almost for the Limoncello Cake!

Had dinner at Marcolino’s Italia and it was so good! I got the linguini scampi — the pasta was super fresh, the presentation was great, and the portion was huge (definitely needed a box). The bread beforehand was delicious too. I wasn’t planning on getting dessert, but when I saw the limoncello cake walk by… I quickly changed my mind. No regrets there!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A New Favorite! Marcolino’s Italia exceeded every expectation — from the food to the service, it was truly outstanding. I ordered the Alfredo, and let me just say: it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend went with the Chicken Piccata based on Tim’s recommendation, and it was divine — bright, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Tim also suggested the Limoncello Cake for dessert. I don’t usually gravitate toward lemon desserts, but this one completely won me over. Light, refreshing, and absolutely unforgettable — I’ll be going to bed thinking about it! We originally came in based on great reviews, and Tim was able to seat us right away. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience, and it was hands down some of the best service we’ve ever received. The ambiance was great and we’re also looking forward to their second location. We’ll absolutely be back and will be telling all our friends and family about this gem. Thank you again — see you soon, Marcolino’s! 🍋🍝

So good. Great, casual, comfortable atmosphere. Best Italian food I've had in a long time. We started with mussels and garlic bread (pro tip: get LOTS of garlic bread), and we kept going back to the sauce even after the mussels were long gone. I'm a big piccata fan but I've never had veal that way, so I had to try the scallopini and it was just awesome. I also got a bite or two of my wife's lasagna, which was also delicious. After all that and a good bottle, we ran with a tiramisu and a limoncello cake. Honestly, all I want to do is go back and try the whole menu. Highly recommend, but get a reservation. The place is always packed.

Google
We make a point of having dinner here on our annual trip to reno. Great food and the service is always so friendly. The portions are pretty reasonable for the entrees, and the desserts are always big portions. The perfect ratio :) very excited for them to make it into their new location.

Google
I honestly don’t know what was better.. the food or the service?? Both deserve well over 5 stars. Marcolino was such a great host and Billy was amazing to us as well. We ordered the chicken marsala and the mushroom ravioli, both were absolutely exquisite. The ambience was everything. Listening to Frank Sinatra while eating Italian food over a candle lit dinner… yeah 🤌🏼 And then desert.. the Lemon cello and cannoli both so rich and delicious. I’m elated that we had a chance to experience this gem of a restaurant while in Reno. So happy to hear that bigger things are coming soon. You deserve all the blessings and business! 🍽️✨

Yelp
I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough! I have been to this place many times during the summer, and finally coming around to posting a review. The location at present, overlooks the Truckee River, which during the day, has such beautiful views. It's a cozy area, with a romantic vibe that all will enjoy. Pictures is the chicken cacciatore and the fettuccini Alfredo, both were such wonderful dishes, fresh, full of flavor, and quite possibly some of the best Italian dishes in Reno! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and both dishes had an amazing sauce that was full of zest, seasoning, and it complimented the dish very well. The staff were so helpful and welcoming, always bringing in good conversation to the table, and amongst others who were dining too. I couldn't recommend this place enough, come check them out!

Yelp
Review: Marcolino's (Lunch Service) We headed over to Marcolino's on their opening day at their new location to sample the new lunch menu. While opening days are notoriously tricky for any establishment, my experience suggests that this location has some significant hurdles to clear if they want to compete in the local dining scene. The Atmosphere & Service The "opening day jitters" were unfortunately quite apparent. The ambiance was inconsistent; the music began at an uncomfortably loud volume before cutting out entirely, leaving the room in silence. The entryway was cluttered with a dishwasher tray of glasses, which felt "janky" and unpolished for a restaurant aiming for a higher standard. Physically, the space was uncomfortable. I sat in the middle of the dining room and was hit by a persistent cold draft--it felt as though a door to the kitchen or alleyway was being left wide open. Additionally, the menu design needs a rethink; the font is far too small to be easily legible for many patrons. Service-wise, the staff seemed underprepared. Our waitress struggled to identify the ingredients in the sandwiches, and the kitchen timing was off--while our sandwiches arrived together, the flatbread didn't hit the table until ten minutes later. The Food & Drink The culinary experience was, unfortunately, the biggest letdown. A few key areas for improvement: * The Beverages: I was disappointed to find that the iced tea is served from a soda fountain. In a "nice" restaurant, one expects freshly brewed tea; fountain tea feels like a shortcut that doesn't belong here. * The Meatball Sandwich: On the plus side, the portion size was generous. However, the execution was poor. The bread was cold and hard, and the cheese hadn't been melted. This sandwich desperately needed a few minutes under a broiler before being served. * The Italian Beef: This was undersized for the price point. Furthermore, the bread was untoasted, which left the sandwich lacking in texture and structural integrity. Final Thoughts Marcolino's new location has potential, but they are currently missing the mark on the fundamentals. From the drafty seating to the lack of "fresh-brewed" touches and kitchen technicalities, there is a lot of room for growth. To be fair this was their first day, but they should of had a dry run before opening for their staff to become acquainted with the menu items and perhaps work out some of the kinks.

Yelp
Finally, great Italian food in Reno! We wanted to try something new to celebrate my birthday. We'd heard good things about this place. We got the rundown from one of the owners. Very personable, clearly cares that his customers are getting a good experience. We started with garlic bread and calamarri. Tried the rigatoni bolognese, penne vodka, lobster tail, seabass, and cacciatore. All of us were very happy with our delicious meals. I was a little concerned that portions might be small as is typical with some higher end places, but all of our portions were plentiful. Then we ordered dessert. My cannoli was excellent, but all of us were blown away by how good the cheesecake was. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Got reservations for grand opening day. Was honored to be here at their new location. Very nice upscale vibe at this spot. Happy hour from 11am-11pm? Unheard of. Today was first day and we went at 12pm for lunch. The Burata salad is so fresh, crispy and delicious. The Burata is very creamy and fresh. The lobster bisque could of been served a little warmer but again, first day. I had the Italian beef sandwich and had to wait for the ajus and prefer mine a little spicier but totally forgiven cause it was expected on opening day. I've had nothing but great experiences at Marcolinos and give them nothing but props. The tiramusu is made in house and the BEST I've had! Canolis are on point as well. Already made reservations for party of 8 on Valentines day. Looking forward to enjoying Marcolinos for a long time. Don't sleep on this one folks!

Yelp
We got the honor of having one last meal at 254 W1st street in Reno Nevada the address of the former Marcolinos! We had a fabulous meal and Brittany and Mandi took amazing care of us and our food. Atmosphere was amazing as always and now we are looking forward to the new restaurant!! Can we please be the first guest?

Yelp
Marcolino's is open at their new location, 1555 So. Wells, the former Rapscallion building. They have preserved the ambiance of the place, while doing a good job of cleaning it up. I went for a party on there Friday. It was great. The place was packed. Today, Saturday January 10 is the opening. They have many reservations for the week already so call ahead. The menu will be expanded as the kitchen is much bigger as is the place, holding over 200 people. It's going to be fun place to hang out at the bar and get dinner.

Yelp
I came here on a rainy fall night and just wanted comfort food. And that's exactly what I got. I wanted to try a few things, knowing I would have lots of leftovers. I got the pesto tortellini, the famous lasagna, and the chicken piccata. The portions are extremely generous. I think I'll get 3 meals out of this. I sat at the bar so I could hang out with the team, and the service was fantastic. It's a more casual vibe. But the dining area is elegant and classy. I'm so excited for them to move to their new location on Wells Ave.

Yelp
Last night my husband and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary at our favorite Italian restaurant in downtown Reno. It was a beautiful thing, we found meter parking right outside the building and it was almost 6pm so no feeding the meter. We were a bit early and our table overlooking the river and now the construction zone was still occupied so we went across the street to the R-Bar for a quick happy hour drink. It was super nice of Tim from Marcolino's to come over and get us when our table came available. Who does that? It shows great service!! We got seated ordered the Italian salad enough to split it for the two of us. Then we heard the dinner specials my absolutely two favorites joined together. The Mushroom Ravioli made a little differently with added wine and spices it was well done and lobster tail on the side for $65. It was scrumptious. You must extend your budget when it comes to special occasions! They let us pick a complementary desert for our anniversary so we had the limoncello cake so lovely! I'm really excited to hear the enthusiasm from Marco, Tim and Billy regarding their new location coming soon hoping for November at the old Rapscallions. They have great plans for the restaurant and they'll be open for lunch and happy hour and TVs. I really can't wait for the grand opening, although I'll miss my favorite table by the river at least parking will be better. Thank you for making our Anniversary memorable!!!

Yelp
We love Marcolino's! We come here every time we are in Reno. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. the Scampi Linguini is probably my favorite! The service is amazing and so personable. Can't wait to try them in their new location.

Yelp
Shrimp, scampi sauce was too sour with lemon, They charge for garlic bread eight dollars and it came out cold. I had to send it back And the red sauce was just OK. The eggplant Parm was just OK., service was really good though.

Yelp
We are BIG FANS of Marco & Billy for years, and we were excited to bring some dear friends out to dinner to celebrate some milestones in their life. The expectant Mrs. wanted Italian, so we knew just where to recommend! Like walking into Cheers, when you walk into Marcolino's, they greet you like you're old friends. The ambiance is classy & intimate, but at the same time, you'll feel OK whether you're dressed office casual after work or dressed up for a fancy date night. Yes, parking near the river is challenging but that will all change when they move to their new spot in the former DT Reno iconic Rapscallion building soon! We did have a reservation for 6pm, and we were quickly greeted, seated and settled in - and I think we may have ordered *EVERYTHING* lol. I had a glass of red wine, the expectant Mrs. had a Pellegrino & the guys had Italian beers. We started with calamari friti & garlic bread. Impossibly crispy, cooked to perfection & with a duo of dipping sauces, they were probably some of the best calamari bites I've had outside of the Monterey wharf. We followed with the burrata salad & house Caesar, both were delish. For entrees, hubby had Marco's hearty ribeye and massive lobster tail, our guests had that evening's specialty pasta, a lemony angel hair with lobster, and their veal scallopini, and I had chicken picatta. Each was delectable, the proteins perfectly cooked and sauced appropriately, and the mains were served with creamy mashed potato & seasonal asparagus. Normal people would stop there after a meal like this, but we didn't. We had dessert. Correction - dessert(S). Their light & lush Limoncello cake slice & a glass of Spumoni ice cream. Spumoni is better than Neopolitan - change my mind! And too good to just have at the holidays. Oh, and coffee, because some caffeine was the only way were weren't going to be a food coma after such a leisurely, indulgent meal. Guys, the prices are REASONABLE and the service is impeccable. This place will impress a date, a boss or clients, or would be the place for a celebration/special meal like a bday or anniversary. About 2 weeks later, we recommended Marcolino's for a friend's birthday meal and they also had a wonderful experience! This isn't a fluke, this is good food, and plenty of it - served with a touch of class, seasoned with a passion for elevated dining & exceptional service. Pro tip - make a reservation and plan for a few extra minutes to park until they relocate, and try EVERYTHING! Oh, and Mangia, mangia - you're too skinny!

Yelp
Visiting from Vegas, we wanted to try something new Italian wise because we normally go to La Strada.....Wow this did not disappoint. Read in reviews to get a reservation, so hub called one day out and we secured a 5pm time. We got there a little early and were the first ones there. We both decided on a beer, him Peroni and I got a revision IPA...good cold beers. They went into the specials that mainly were lobster forward for a good price. They all sounded terrific and I may get one next time...but today I just wanted and craved the chicken piccata that apparently nobody knows how to do properly in the Reno area....until now.....it was amazing!! We were taken care of by the owner who clearly is proud of his food and is looking to expand into a bigger space soon....he is going to do very well serving this food. We will be back and plan on telling any of our Vegas friends to check this out as well....amazing food and amazing service!!!

Yelp
Food here tasted great! We had the Caesar Salad and Breadsticks to start. Loved the homemade dressing on the salad and the garlic bread has a good texture. I enjoyed my eggplant marinara and my husband had the chicken Marsala. Both great choices! For dessert we had the espresso gelato and the lemon cake! The only downside is I did let the restaurant know that we were celebrating my husbands promotion and they let me know they'll place a candle on the dessert we pick and it will be on the house. However, they forgot about the celebration.

Yelp
We had reservations for my mom's birthday dinner tonight! We were seated by the owner. He was personable and gave us the details about the new location- which seems awesome! We got the lobster special with drawn butter, mashed potatoes, and asparagus, the salmon, and two veal entrees with both sauce options (picatta and marsala). I must say, that was the BEST lobster I have had in town. Everyone's meals were delicious! Great portion sizes for the price. The restaurant has nice lighting, and its a great location on the river, although we are very excited to check out the new location off Wells Ave. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. I can see this being our new birthday dinner spot!

Yelp
Pro's: Excellent, authentic Italian food Con's: A little loud when busy Go back?: Yes! More... The ONLY thing about this restaurant that is off is about to be remedied! It does get a bit loud when the restaurant is busy BUT I have it on good authority this restaurant is taking the old location of Rapscallion!!!! Yippee!!! That is such a great space, it will be wonderful to see it revived and transformed into Marcolino's. On this evening, I had my favorite Scallopini Piccata - it was excellent...generous serving, as well. My friend had the lasagna and LOVED IT. It was a very large portion, as well. To top off the meal, we shared the Limoncello cake and it was fabulous! Service was top-notch, too. Love this place - love that they will eventually move to the Rapscallion property.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was ok. Portion size was very small. Ordered a salad, had dinner. Ordered garlic bread that resembled bread sticks. All in all it was terrific, just wasn't good. I never want to leave a restaurant hungry. $216 for 4 people to still be hungry. First time and unfortunately our last time.

Yelp
Great fine dining. Marco and staff are fantastic hosts. Food and service is top of the line. And, don't forget to order the marvelous desserts. Make your reservation well in advance.

Yelp
Cute Italian spot located right along the riverwalk. Arrived shortly prior to 6pm with a reservation on a Tuesday evening but was fortunate enough to have an option to sit at a table or the bar at the window with a view (we opted for the view) so we lucked out. The server was quick to bring us water and ask for our drink order but was a bit rude when we asked about a cocktail menu or the soup of the day as he scoffed at both. Apparently two days of 70 degree weather insinuates that it's too hot for soup which is a bit unusual seeing how the place is supposed to serve traditional style Italian dishes and why would they serve anything other than wine ‍, nevertheless we moved past it and order a water and glass of wine. To start we opted for the steamed clams and garlic bread. Both were good however the bowl of clams contained quite a few bits of broken shells which was a bit of a turnoff mid-bite and also the garlic bread tasted well, the pieces were tiny and a bit overcooked so hard to chew. Additionally, while we were munching on our apps we heard the same server greet a table newly seated by us in which he took time to highlight the menu and recommend favorites of which we were not offered. Additionally just as soon as the apps were delivered we were again pressed to select our entrees despite having already told the server that we would how much room we had left after eating our apps which was a bit annoying. Next we moved on to entrees which were chicken parm and rigatoni bolognese. I enjoyed the rigatoni but my daughter's pasta with her chicken parm wasn't strained enough therefore it became a watery mess when combined with the sauce. Also the chicken was a bit over fried and hard to cut. Disappointing to say the least made worse by the fact that by this point, both of our water glasses were empty for some time and not once was I asked if I wanted another wine. In fact the server decided on his own that we were done before even asking if we wanted desert so we opted not to spend anymore money at the establishment. Overall I think the place has potential however the service needs to be better. It felt as if for some reason we had been discriminated against when compared to how others nearby were treated. That is not ok!

Yelp
GO HERE! I'm not even kidding when I say this is the best food I've ever had in my life. My husband and I went here yesterday for our anniversary and we got DOWN! We ate so much food and the service was excellent! The place itself is small but they said they're about to move to the old rapscallion's so that's cool! Anyways, we got the steamed clams, fried ravioli, garlic bread, penne all vodka (gluten free) and a lobster tail! To finish it off we got the espresso chocolate gelato. Every single thing we ordered was delicious! The fried ravioli was probably my favorite. It came with a pesto, Alfredo AND red sauce to dip it in with a balsamic drizzle. If I were ever on death row, that would be one of the my last requests to be able to eat. Please go support this business, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Marcolino's is still my favorite place for a special occasion dinner in Reno. The last two birthday dinners for myself, my wife and my dad have been at Marcolino's and it never disappoints! Great hospitality, great food and a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. I've tried everything on the menu and you can't really go wrong so make a reservation and become a regular at Marcolino's and you can thank me later! Cheers!!!
google avatar

Shira M.

Yelp
Can't say it was as good as the server/owner told us it would be. I'd say maybe 4 stars. Calamari was oily and the aïoli just tasted like mayo. The penne with vodka sauce was the invitation tasty with bacon and well cooked. I added shrimp. My husband had the chicken Parmesan, which was a little short on the pasta to chicken ratio. Which is funny cause usually they give you more pasta than chicken! The salad with olives, onions, and tomatoes was good but again the lettuce to topping ratio was also off. It said the tomatoes would be roasted, but they weren't. But everything tasted fresh. The massive TV's showing the Italian countryside were a little distracting and overwhelming but my husband enjoyed watching them. I wouldn't necessarily say it's "the best Italian in the region" as our server said, but we might try it again.

Yelp
We are part of a couples dinner club and our pick is up next, so we thought we'd give Marcolino's a go. We cannot wait to bring our friends here based on the takeout we had this evening! We ordered the fried ravioli. I had never had this before and now I'm wondering if they're all this fantastic! The pesto dipping sauce is one of the best I've ever had! My husband ordered the chicken parm with fettuccine, he like'd it, but commented it would have been better at the restaurant (well, yeah!). I ordered the chicken masala, good amount of mushrooms, accented by roasted asparagus (yum!), and just the right amount of creamy (I like a lump or two) mashed potatoes. I'm looking forward to exposing our dinner group to this gem!

Yelp
My husband and I dined here over the weekend and tried the fried ravioli. It was my favorite thing we ordered. I especially liked the three main sauce options they put under the ravioli. Pesto, marinara, and a cheese sauce. Yum! My main dish was the eggplant parm and it was tasty. Husband had the chicken parm. Neither dish we loved but like I said the fried ravioli was hard to beat. My husband isn't a huge sauce person so for him it was too much sauce... I however would have loved the sauce options that he had for the eggplant parm instead of all marinara. They were booked except for a spot at the bar which is where I prefer to be on a night out without kids. Staff was friendly, and helpful. The table area in the back looked nice and had a romantic feel.

Yelp
Tried Marcolino's Italia and loved it! I ordered the linguini scampi -- fresh pasta, great presentation, and a massive portion (definitely took some home). The bread before the meal was also really good. I told myself I'd skip dessert, but after seeing the limoncello cake come out, I had to try it... and I'm so glad I did! Such a solid Italian spot.

Yelp
This place used to be a food truck. On food truck Fridays they were so popular that by the time we would get to the front of the crazy long line they'd be sold out of most stuff so it was always a struggle to get their food. But now they have a location near the river, strange location and not great parking and quite small but it works. They are apparently moving their location to the old Rapscallion location which will be awesome. They plan to add to their menu as well as have a good happy hour. They have wine, red, white and some Itailian; and some beer on tap and Pepsi products. They have some appetizers like calamari, bacon wrapped sausage, garlic bread, etc. we got the garlic bread that was just ok, didn't have the best texture. We also ordered some wine. My husband got the chicken cacciatore and it has bell peppers, a good amount of chicken , great sauce (with slight spice) and angel hair and it was soooo good! I got the mushroom ravioli that has porcini mushrooms and it was a classic well made mushroom ravioli but is more one note than the other dish. Still very very good. We would definitely go again and try their dessert too. Can't wait for them to move over to the rapscallion location with an extended menu and some dishes similar to the old rapscallion.

Yelp
The food was good. Nothing special. The service was not great. I walked in with my daughter and they said they take walk-in ls, but were full so we waited for a table to clear and get cleaned. I don't mind waiting but my issue was that two other couples walked in and asked if they take walk-ins, they again said yes but this time sat both couples before my daughter and I got sat. Made me feel less important just because I had a child? We were all walk ins and we got there first. Then I ordered an Alfredo pasta with no meat. My daughter and I both agreed just pasta. I'm glad I didn't order chicken because that would have been an extra $8. They accidentally added chicken. I let them know before I started eating so they could take it back if they wanted. The server got mad at me and told me I ordered the chicken. I didn't and definitely didn't want it after seeing what I would have got if I did order it. My daughter and I never ate any of the chicken. I scooped it all together to one side so you can see what you would get for $8 extra. I wouldn't be upset if he could have just admitted he made a mistake, but to blame me and get mad at me for something he did was not ok.

Yelp
We had a great group dinner at Marcolino's this Saturday. We had a group of six and we wanted a special night, and we were able to get a reservation. The food was great - for everyone, the bacon-wrapped sausage appetizer was the absolute highlight, followed closely by the incredible Limoncello cake. We had a nice table and when it got a little chilly they adjusted the temp for us. Only comment was that it was a bit loud, but we still had a nice evening. Note that when you first come in you need to go up a steep set of stairs to the dining level. We would definitely return for another meal.

Yelp

Yelp
Marcolino's is home to my favorite dish in all of Reno. I will never stop recommending the tortellini with pesto creme sauce. When you order it, Marco will say "it's so good!" and I can guarantee that it is. They also have the best service in town and always make you feel like family. It's a smaller space so I recommend getting a reservation in, but they'll always fit you in if they can. Once they even brought out an extra table for me at a moment's notice. This place is such a gem of Reno located right by the Truckee river. Don't skip it!

Yelp
When I walked in and was greeted by the Owner, I knew I was in the right spot. The lasagna is absolutely top notch! As authentic as you'll find. Great atmosphere. Friendly, outgoing staff who was very attentive. I would suggest you call before going simply because they are about to relocate. An absolute must of you're in town.

Yelp
I've been to Marcelino's three times now. The food is fantastic, chicken parm. lasagna and the rigatoni with the meatballs were awesome. The service was excellent with Marco the owner working the room. We will be going to there new location as soon as it opens!

Food was amazing. Their service was fantastic and was very cozy and clean. Heard they moved to a new spot and haven't been there yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's a small restaurant very cozy definitely needs a reservation. The staff is so nice and gives everything you need to know about the menu. The fried mozzarella sticks were so good not pictured cause I ate them before I got a pic. The chicken Parmesan tasted like it was from Italy. All the dessert are amazing but my most favorite was the lemon cake oh my gosh it just melted in your mouth it delicious with just the right amount of lemon tang. I will definitely be back and definitely might stop by again today just for the lemon cake

Yelp
Great Italian! We ordered Shrimp Alfredo, which had a ton of large shrimp, Mushroom Sausage Ravioli that had amazing bold flavors, and the Garlic Bread. The bread was super buttery, garlicky and crunchy. We ordered take out to avoid the Valentine's rush and it was super quick and arrived hot. We will definitely go again for dine in.

Yelp
Made reservation last night and as a first time customer was impressed by the quality and flavor of food. The restaurant is relocating to the old Rapscallions and am really looking forward to being a regular there. The food was 10/10. We commonly eat in Reno at all of the Italian restaurants for past 20 years and enjoy most of them however the food I would say last night was the best we have had. Mushroom Ravioli beat in Reno in my opinion. We've had them all, this one wins. Veal Marsala was fantastic. Really a perfect dish. The Caesar salad was a complete all star you could taste the layering of ingredients and that classic taste from a homemade Caesar with the ingredients layered in. The service was incredible we had the pleasure of talking to the owner for a long period of time and they are going to kill it at the new place. I'll be in there for sure, hope to be back soon.

Yelp
Love everything about this place the steak was the best I have had in years. You can tell everything that was served was made fresh. The Caeser salad dressing was definitely made fresh. The service was impeccable. Every table full I highly recommend making reservations in advance. Don't wait till the last minute especially on the weekends.

Yelp
If you are considering trying this restaurant, do it. Absolutely amazing. Great staff. Great food. Ask for the cheesecake with the lemon curd on top. You won't regret it! They did let us know they are moving to a new location soon! I look forward to going back and trying to new location as well. Wonderful family owned restaurant!!!

Yelp
Absolutely AMAZING food. My husband and I were downtown and looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner. We stopped In and they were so kind to seat us even though you need reservations. The ribeye was delicious and the salmon was so flavorful. The desert was so good. 110% recommend if you're looking to have a very nice dinner. Pricing was moderate but well worth every penny. Thank you again, we will be back (with reservations).

Yelp
One of the things I love to do when I travel is seek out new (to me) locally owned restaurants to try. Bonus if they are Italian! I was in Reno over the weekend and decided to give Marcolino's a try. I am so glad I did. It's in a cool location but I understand they are moving soon so I will stick to the food. It was amazing. I started with the Calamari app. It was perfectly breaded and lightly fried. I couldn't stop eating it. The house made marinara was a perfect accompaniment. Usually I am a pasta guy with very few deviations. I am glad this was a night I chose to deviate lol. I ordered the veal piccata. It was easily the best I have ever had. Topped it off with a piece of lemon cake. As a dessert lover I can tell you it was amazing. The pasta portion of the menu did seem a little basic. And my garlic mashed potatoes were barely warm. But that's just nitpicking. I was able to briefly speak to both the owner and gm. Super nice and you can tell they are very passionate about what they do. As an aside, I went to La Strada the next evening. La Strada is decent but the difference between the two places is night and day.

Yelp
Visited 6/24/24 As always, I'm extremely pleased and satisfied. Came for date night with my fiancé. Still great hospitality, the owner is amazing and friendly. Staff are great and attentive. Tried the Veal (New menu item) and was very very happy I did. It was soft and tender and full of flavor. I almost always have a to go plate but not today!!! The food was amazing. I said a while ago we were becoming long time customers, and I still feel the same. This is a must try when visiting downtown Reno.

Yelp
Delicious Italian food in an intimate space near the river. Service was very good as well as the food. They accommodated us on short notice when calling for a reservation. We were seated in the back of the restaurant with a stunning view of the river out the back window. We tried the lasagna which came out bubbling hot with cheese and marinara sauce, very filling. The chicken piccata was three medallions of chicken breast with mashed potatoes and asparagus, lots of garlic and capers in the sauce. Maybe too much garlic although it is an Italian restaurant so that is to be expected.

Yelp
Everything was top-notch. Food was delicious. My husband had shrimp with linguine and I had Lasagna. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We'd be regulars if we lived in the area.

Yelp
So my parents, my husband and I recently had an amazing birthday dinner at Marcolinos. Everything about it was top notch! We were there on a Wednesday at 5:30 and there was one other couple. By 7:00, the place was full. My husband had lobster, it was a huge tail and prepared to perfection. I had eggplant parmesan with one of the freshest homemade sauces. It was so delicious. The only thing I'd like to see is some fettuccine or some type of pasta with the dish, then it would really be the way I'm used to it being served. Overall, just fabulous. They are definitely a place that needs to be experienced. They are moving in November to the old Rapscallion building that they've worked hard to get. I can't wait to go to it in it's new location.
