Phenomenal food! We have missed Marco and Bill and we're so happy to find Marcolino's! I had one of the absolute best ribeye steaks I have ever had! My wife had the Chicken Picatta. Kudo's to Marco's Son Brandon the Chef! This is a great family run local business!Wonderful food, great service, and absolutely the best in Reno! We will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A New Favorite! Marcolino’s Italia exceeded every expectation — from the food to the service, it was truly outstanding. I ordered the Alfredo, and let me just say: it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend went with the Chicken Piccata based on Tim’s recommendation, and it was divine — bright, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Tim also suggested the Limoncello Cake for dessert. I don’t usually gravitate toward lemon desserts, but this one completely won me over. Light, refreshing, and absolutely unforgettable — I’ll be going to bed thinking about it! We originally came in based on great reviews, and Tim was able to seat us right away. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience, and it was hands down some of the best service we’ve ever received. The ambiance was great and we’re also looking forward to their second location. We’ll absolutely be back and will be telling all our friends and family about this gem. Thank you again — see you soon, Marcolino’s! 🍋🍝

I honestly don’t know what was better.. the food or the service?? Both deserve well over 5 stars. Marcolino was such a great host and Billy was amazing to us as well. We ordered the chicken marsala and the mushroom ravioli, both were absolutely exquisite. The ambience was everything. Listening to Frank Sinatra while eating Italian food over a candle lit dinner… yeah 🤌🏼 And then desert.. the Lemon cello and cannoli both so rich and delicious. I’m elated that we had a chance to experience this gem of a restaurant while in Reno. So happy to hear that bigger things are coming soon. You deserve all the blessings and business! 🍽️✨

Google
We were a walkin and were treated with friendly smiles and the best service. They had a little space left and we sat over looking the river at night. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. My shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was the best I've had in a very long time. We ordered calamari and the baked ravioli, also winners. My son ordered the chicken parmigiana and took half of it home. So much food, we had no room for dessert. However, we'll be back with more friends and family to try the desserts next time. Support this locals Italian restaurant, absolutely worth the price for great food, ambience, and service

Google
We've bn want'n 2 ck this place out, it didn't disappoint! If I could give 10-stars 4 the service I would, both Bill n Marco were over the top. Food was excellent, courses came out with time in between. The Terimisu was "off the chain" we will definitely return n highly recommended.

Google
Went to check out this restaurant after hearing the hype. I am happy to say the hype is Real!! The place is quaint and the atmosphere makes you feel like you walked into a little place in Italy with TV s screens displaying scenes from Italy. Frank Sinatra and other classic music added to the experience. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!! Save room for desert too because it was amazing!!! Would highly recommend!!

We had been long time customers of Mario at the steak house at Hobey's casino. When Mario moved on I patronized him at his food truck business. This was the first time we took the opportunity to try his new location. We don't regret our choice and will come here again.

I’ve had this spot on my want to go list for a while and last minute decided to try it Saturday night. Located downtown on the river- so parking is tricky aside from the paid parking garage across the street. They unfortunately are on the wrong side to validate your ticket, but really not a biggy- that’s part of downtown. We ended up getting their walk in table right at the front or otherwise had the choice of some bar seats. Not the ideal seats in the place so very advisable making a reservation if you want prime seating, but we were still happy. Service was friendly- the owner personally greeted each table and explained their menu/pricing. Sounds like they have hopes to move locations in the next year. Food was super good! Got the mussels to start and ended up ordering garlic bread to soak up all the left over juice- soooooo tasty and highly recommend. Got the shrimp scampi and Alfredo for entrees. Alfredo was very very tasty, scampi was good but I prefer other takes I’ve had on it. Theirs is very lemony/acidic, which may not be for everyone. Got the cheesecake for dessert and it was light and fluffy and amazing. Overall would highly recommend.

Yelp
We've been multiple times now and have nothing but good things to say about Marcolinos. The food is to die for, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and if you're not sure what to get the servers all have great recommendations. The service is amazing- We've even had the owner as our server before, and they are all so attentive and kind. Dang good Italian food.

Yelp
GO HERE! I'm not even kidding when I say this is the best food I've ever had in my life. My husband and I went here yesterday for our anniversary and we got DOWN! We ate so much food and the service was excellent! The place itself is small but they said they're about to move to the old rapscallion's so that's cool! Anyways, we got the steamed clams, fried ravioli, garlic bread, penne all vodka (gluten free) and a lobster tail! To finish it off we got the espresso chocolate gelato. Every single thing we ordered was delicious! The fried ravioli was probably my favorite. It came with a pesto, Alfredo AND red sauce to dip it in with a balsamic drizzle. If I were ever on death row, that would be one of the my last requests to be able to eat. Please go support this business, you won't regret it!

Yelp
So my parents, my husband and I recently had an amazing birthday dinner at Marcolinos. Everything about it was top notch! We were there on a Wednesday at 5:30 and there was one other couple. By 7:00, the place was full. My husband had lobster, it was a huge tail and prepared to perfection. I had eggplant parmesan with one of the freshest homemade sauces. It was so delicious. The only thing I'd like to see is some fettuccine or some type of pasta with the dish, then it would really be the way I'm used to it being served. Overall, just fabulous. They are definitely a place that needs to be experienced. They are moving in November to the old Rapscallion building that they've worked hard to get. I can't wait to go to it in it's new location.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
OK it's official Marcolino's is moving!!!! We can't wait for the official opening but we know inside information and we are looking at about November 1st for the opening. We were told that we could announce the opening of the new Marcolino's in the old rapscalion on wells ave. Super excited and can't wait until the new opening!! Another fabulous dinner with the rib eye cooked to perfection (rare) and the lobster special was amazing! Of course we had the limoncello cake and coffee was amazing! They were very quiet tonight as we did not have to deal with noisy guests super nice. Love this place and can't wait for the new location!!

Yelp
Visiting from Vegas, we wanted to try something new Italian wise because we normally go to La Strada.....Wow this did not disappoint. Read in reviews to get a reservation, so hub called one day out and we secured a 5pm time. We got there a little early and were the first ones there. We both decided on a beer, him Peroni and I got a revision IPA...good cold beers. They went into the specials that mainly were lobster forward for a good price. They all sounded terrific and I may get one next time...but today I just wanted and craved the chicken piccata that apparently nobody knows how to do properly in the Reno area....until now.....it was amazing!! We were taken care of by the owner who clearly is proud of his food and is looking to expand into a bigger space soon....he is going to do very well serving this food. We will be back and plan on telling any of our Vegas friends to check this out as well....amazing food and amazing service!!!

Yelp
When I walked in and was greeted by the Owner, I knew I was in the right spot. The lasagna is absolutely top notch! As authentic as you'll find. Great atmosphere. Friendly, outgoing staff who was very attentive. I would suggest you call before going simply because they are about to relocate. An absolute must of you're in town.

Yelp
What a great night celebrating my husband's Birthday at our favorite Italian restaurant in Reno! I always order the mushroom raviolis they're absolutely the best in town. My husband always gets the veal piccata again to die for. We never order anything else other than the bread! Yum-o. Well this time we split a salad, and it was lovely with the fresh mozzarella!!! We shared a piece of the home made limoncello cake, we always get the tiramisu but I know what I'm having next time! Both deserts are fantastic just like the service! If you're in downtown Reno you must give Marcolino's a try. Currently construction is going on the Arlington Bridge for the next 18 months so I know Marco would appreciate the extra business with roads being closed down by his restaurant.

Yelp
Pro's: Excellent, authentic Italian food Con's: A little loud when busy Go back?: Yes! More... The ONLY thing about this restaurant that is off is about to be remedied! It does get a bit loud when the restaurant is busy BUT I have it on good authority this restaurant is taking the old location of Rapscallion!!!! Yippee!!! That is such a great space, it will be wonderful to see it revived and transformed into Marcolino's. On this evening, I had my favorite Scallopini Piccata - it was excellent...generous serving, as well. My friend had the lasagna and LOVED IT. It was a very large portion, as well. To top off the meal, we shared the Limoncello cake and it was fabulous! Service was top-notch, too. Love this place - love that they will eventually move to the Rapscallion property.

Paul B.

Yelp
First time and we were very impressed. Everything we tried was outstanding. Wonderful service too. Note: They are moving in a few months to the previous Rapscallion restaurant on Wells.

Yelp
Cute Italian spot located right along the riverwalk. Arrived shortly prior to 6pm with a reservation on a Tuesday evening but was fortunate enough to have an option to sit at a table or the bar at the window with a view (we opted for the view) so we lucked out. The server was quick to bring us water and ask for our drink order but was a bit rude when we asked about a cocktail menu or the soup of the day as he scoffed at both. Apparently two days of 70 degree weather insinuates that it's too hot for soup which is a bit unusual seeing how the place is supposed to serve traditional style Italian dishes and why would they serve anything other than wine ‍, nevertheless we moved past it and order a water and glass of wine. To start we opted for the steamed clams and garlic bread. Both were good however the bowl of clams contained quite a few bits of broken shells which was a bit of a turnoff mid-bite and also the garlic bread tasted well, the pieces were tiny and a bit overcooked so hard to chew. Additionally, while we were munching on our apps we heard the same server greet a table newly seated by us in which he took time to highlight the menu and recommend favorites of which we were not offered. Additionally just as soon as the apps were delivered we were again pressed to select our entrees despite having already told the server that we would how much room we had left after eating our apps which was a bit annoying. Next we moved on to entrees which were chicken parm and rigatoni bolognese. I enjoyed the rigatoni but my daughter's pasta with her chicken parm wasn't strained enough therefore it became a watery mess when combined with the sauce. Also the chicken was a bit over fried and hard to cut. Disappointing to say the least made worse by the fact that by this point, both of our water glasses were empty for some time and not once was I asked if I wanted another wine. In fact the server decided on his own that we were done before even asking if we wanted desert so we opted not to spend anymore money at the establishment. Overall I think the place has potential however the service needs to be better. It felt as if for some reason we had been discriminated against when compared to how others nearby were treated. That is not ok!

Yelp
Stopped by for a glass of wine and calamari. Thank goodness they had a spot at the bar for my wife and I. If you want to have a fine dinning experience, call for a reservation. Best Italian food in Reno.
google avatar

Yelp
Marcolino's is still my favorite place for a special occasion dinner in Reno. The last two birthday dinners for myself, my wife and my dad have been at Marcolino's and it never disappoints! Great hospitality, great food and a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. I've tried everything on the menu and you can't really go wrong so make a reservation and become a regular at Marcolino's and you can thank me later! Cheers!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Great service and one of the best Italian food I have had in a long tim
google avatar

Yelp
We are part of a couples dinner club and our pick is up next, so we thought we'd give Marcolino's a go. We cannot wait to bring our friends here based on the takeout we had this evening! We ordered the fried ravioli. I had never had this before and now I'm wondering if they're all this fantastic! The pesto dipping sauce is one of the best I've ever had! My husband ordered the chicken parm with fettuccine, he like'd it, but commented it would have been better at the restaurant (well, yeah!). I ordered the chicken masala, good amount of mushrooms, accented by roasted asparagus (yum!), and just the right amount of creamy (I like a lump or two) mashed potatoes. I'm looking forward to exposing our dinner group to this gem!
google avatar

Shira M.

Yelp
Can't say it was as good as the server/owner told us it would be. I'd say maybe 4 stars. Calamari was oily and the aïoli just tasted like mayo. The penne with vodka sauce was the invitation tasty with bacon and well cooked. I added shrimp. My husband had the chicken Parmesan, which was a little short on the pasta to chicken ratio. Which is funny cause usually they give you more pasta than chicken! The salad with olives, onions, and tomatoes was good but again the lettuce to topping ratio was also off. It said the tomatoes would be roasted, but they weren't. But everything tasted fresh. The massive TV's showing the Italian countryside were a little distracting and overwhelming but my husband enjoyed watching them. I wouldn't necessarily say it's "the best Italian in the region" as our server said, but we might try it again.
google avatar

Elissa I.

Yelp
Great Italian place with all the classics. Good wine and friendly owner! It's right by the river with a nice ambiance
google avatar

Breanne C.

Yelp
My husband and I dined here over the weekend and tried the fried ravioli. It was my favorite thing we ordered. I especially liked the three main sauce options they put under the ravioli. Pesto, marinara, and a cheese sauce. Yum! My main dish was the eggplant parm and it was tasty. Husband had the chicken parm. Neither dish we loved but like I said the fried ravioli was hard to beat. My husband isn't a huge sauce person so for him it was too much sauce... I however would have loved the sauce options that he had for the eggplant parm instead of all marinara. They were booked except for a spot at the bar which is where I prefer to be on a night out without kids. Staff was friendly, and helpful. The table area in the back looked nice and had a romantic feel.
google avatar

Susan Y.

Yelp
Everything was top-notch. Food was delicious. My husband had shrimp with linguine and I had Lasagna. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We'd be regulars if we lived in the area.
google avatar

Katherine A.

Yelp
Again another fabulous dinner at Marcelino's. Fabulous atmosphere, terrific service, Billy and son , Marco, and the chefs. Always a splendid evening, can't wait for the new adventure coming soon. Marcolin's moving to the old Rapscallion soon
google avatar

Dana C.

Yelp
Marcolino's is home to my favorite dish in all of Reno. I will never stop recommending the tortellini with pesto creme sauce. When you order it, Marco will say "it's so good!" and I can guarantee that it is. They also have the best service in town and always make you feel like family. It's a smaller space so I recommend getting a reservation in, but they'll always fit you in if they can. Once they even brought out an extra table for me at a moment's notice. This place is such a gem of Reno located right by the Truckee river. Don't skip it!
google avatar

Valerie A.

Yelp
We had a great group dinner at Marcolino's this Saturday. We had a group of six and we wanted a special night, and we were able to get a reservation. The food was great - for everyone, the bacon-wrapped sausage appetizer was the absolute highlight, followed closely by the incredible Limoncello cake. We had a nice table and when it got a little chilly they adjusted the temp for us. Only comment was that it was a bit loud, but we still had a nice evening. Note that when you first come in you need to go up a steep set of stairs to the dining level. We would definitely return for another meal.
google avatar

Methinee A.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I decided we wanted to try this restaurant. We got a great table by the window overlooking the river. The restaurant is cozy with great ambience. Service was great. We each tried different things and got a bite off each other dishes. The food was delicious. Great flavors. My only disappointment was that the pasta was not homemade fresh.
google avatar

Sean C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing service. Lasagna that is bold and rich and makes you feel all warm and cuddly. Classic and incredibly well prepared. Really standout. Definitely worth stopping in Reno to check it out.
google avatar

Melinda P.

Yelp
Absolutely AMAZING food. My husband and I were downtown and looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner. We stopped In and they were so kind to seat us even though you need reservations. The ribeye was delicious and the salmon was so flavorful. The desert was so good. 110% recommend if you're looking to have a very nice dinner. Pricing was moderate but well worth every penny. Thank you again, we will be back (with reservations).
google avatar

Kia J.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's a small restaurant very cozy definitely needs a reservation. The staff is so nice and gives everything you need to know about the menu. The fried mozzarella sticks were so good not pictured cause I ate them before I got a pic. The chicken Parmesan tasted like it was from Italy. All the dessert are amazing but my most favorite was the lemon cake oh my gosh it just melted in your mouth it delicious with just the right amount of lemon tang. I will definitely be back and definitely might stop by again today just for the lemon cake

Yelp
Great Italian! We ordered Shrimp Alfredo, which had a ton of large shrimp, Mushroom Sausage Ravioli that had amazing bold flavors, and the Garlic Bread. The bread was super buttery, garlicky and crunchy. We ordered take out to avoid the Valentine's rush and it was super quick and arrived hot. We will definitely go again for dine in.
google avatar

Deborah M.

Yelp
I went here for my birthday I really can't understand all the 5 star reviews. I thought they were a bit rude, full of themselves and NEVER wished me a happy birthday. The food was not authentic Italian. The lasagna had little flavor and was mediocre at best. The garlic bread was chewy and we were NOT IMPRESSED. Don't understand all the hype!!

Tyler H.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! We walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday and were able to get sat for 2. You definitely have to try the fried raviolis. You can tell the owners are passionate about their business. One of them was more than happy to tell us about their process of how the menu was created and told us that every meal could be modified to our liking. Everything we had was amazing and wasn't too crazy of a price. I will 100% be going back very soon and I'm excited for the new bigger restaurant they will be opening down the road.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could give this six stars. This is one of the best meals I've ever had. The chicken marsala and eggplant parmesan were absolutely fabulous. Extraordinary. Divine. And the servers were delightful, adding to an otherwise completely enjoyable experience. (And their ties are gorgeous.) If you are visiting Reno, don't miss this wonderful restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Pinching ourselves! We are in RENO, NV and batting 1000 in the food department. Seriously. This is my first 5 star review on this trip, however, this is well-deserved! First, the garlic bread left us with a look of shock on our faces at how good it was. Not sure how it was made - had never seen bread like this before -ever. But, it's the best I've EVER HAD. Period. We were told the mushroom ravioli was a fan favorite and after we cleared the plate we had to agree!! My husband preferred it to my shrimp linguini with that amazing garlic wine sauce. The linguini was LIGHT and cooked to perfection. Every aspect of the flavor profile was extraordinary. To make matters worse, we ordered Limoncello cake. WHY?????!!!!! Ughhh it was crazy good. I just CANNOT handle the mind blown state we are in after 2 days exploring the Reno food scene. What is REALLY GOING ON HERE IN RENO??? Sacramento needs to accept this food challenge and UP ITS FOOD GAME. I mean it.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited 6/24/24 As always, I'm extremely pleased and satisfied. Came for date night with my fiancé. Still great hospitality, the owner is amazing and friendly. Staff are great and attentive. Tried the Veal (New menu item) and was very very happy I did. It was soft and tender and full of flavor. I almost always have a to go plate but not today!!! The food was amazing. I said a while ago we were becoming long time customers, and I still feel the same. This is a must try when visiting downtown Reno.
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
They were rude :( me and my family walked in not knowing we needed a reservation and the host just rudely barked at us "we ain't got nothing for you".
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Delicious Italian food in an intimate space near the river. Service was very good as well as the food. They accommodated us on short notice when calling for a reservation. We were seated in the back of the restaurant with a stunning view of the river out the back window. We tried the lasagna which came out bubbling hot with cheese and marinara sauce, very filling. The chicken piccata was three medallions of chicken breast with mashed potatoes and asparagus, lots of garlic and capers in the sauce. Maybe too much garlic although it is an Italian restaurant so that is to be expected.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
An Americanized quasi Italian food restaurant, pricy using dried pasta. Serving American Dishes such as Cesar salad, fettuccine Alfredo, and don't even have caffè only American coffee. No real Italian dishes other than lasagna at 30.00, and the "spicy" sicilian was not spicy and was a tomato cream sauce not even close to real Sicilian pasta. The cannoli was mediocre as was the not very lemony limoncello torta. Having come back from Rome last month found this a hugely overpriced and over rated restaurant.
google avatar

Wesley M.

Yelp
Truly amazing level of service. They get to know everyone and within only a couple visits, you're family to them. Delicious food - their loaded garlic bread, every pasta dish, and the chicken marsala are my favorites. Excellent rotating selection of wines. Really thoughtfully crafted details - I visit frequently. Every time I come in, they've already got my drink ready and a big smile to say hello. One of the best places in Reno.
google avatar

Ann S.

Yelp
We were greeted with a smile and they accepted us without reservations. Little did we know how important it was to have reservations. Which makes sense. Service, food and ambience were top notch. Marco was the best. We ordered: Luca's Linguini with clams, sautéed in white wine, lemon butter, and garlic sauce. This was iconic, fresh and delicious. Ashley's Chicken Piccata: The breast was pan-seared in white wine, lemon butter, garlic sauce, and capers, served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was cooked perfectly & very moist. For dessert we had their house made Limoncello Cake with fresh limoncello curd, mascarpone, limoncello liqueur, and whipped cream. Decide to be the best dessert we've ever experienced at a restaurant. The service was top-notch and the ambience was enjoyed with a silent video of Venice waterway and nice music. Highly recommend this restaurant, next time I will definitely make a reservation. This restaurant deserves beyond the five star rating
google avatar

Chyna M.

Yelp
I've come here a couple times with my girlfriends and they never miss the mark. The waiters are always nice and make great recommendations. The mushroom ravioli is sooooo buttery and delicious so that's what I normally order. This time, I ordered the cioppino not even knowing what it was at all (I'm trying to branch out trying new foods and it sounded fun and very Italian!) and I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful bowl of seafood soup! Not sure I'd order it again since it's not my cup of tea (objectively it's great so not docking start for that) and a little messy/awkward to eat (could be user error lol), but if you love fun food and seafood this is a great choice!
google avatar

Enzo A.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the service from the owner himself. Always a good sign that the menu isn't too large, good selection of wine. Food was good - the pasta didn't taste homemade to me, that would take it up a notch. Ambience was classy, good view of the river .
google avatar

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant in northern Nevada. Went there last night with my sweetheart and the food and service were superb. Marcolino spoke with us at length. He is a restaurateur with over 40 yrs experience and his passion for his work is infectious. The mushroom raviolis and the eggplant Parmesan were delicious. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Fingers to my Lips ... Love - Love - Love .... the deliciousness & the service. Thank you so much Marco for this delicious italian experience. You graciously split two styles of salads - your homemade caesar is delectable. Luca's Linguini with clams, Ashley's Chicken Piccata . Both dishes are amazing. Dessert... OMG limoncello cake is like nothing you have ever had. Make a reservation .. thank you Marco for squeezing us in . This is a must have experience.

Bonnie M.

Yelp
Food, Service and location EXCELLENT! The staff and owner Marcolino were happy and very accommodating. Beautiful view of the river, reservations is a must. Celebrated my birthday first time at this restaurant and not the last. Every bite was delicious and cooked perfect. Start with the amazing garlic bread and Burrata Salad and end with the Limoncello Cake! List below was our choices and all I highly recommend. Yelp
Passing through town. Found Marcolino's on Yelp. Gave it a shot and we were blown away! The food was amazing, the staff were amazing and we left with big smiles on our faces! Very beautiful and comfortable atmosphere! Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you so much! Will definitely be back when our travels bring us back through Reno again!

Yelp
The food was delicious, it is located near downtown. The staff were very professional and helpful. It's a small very nice place! Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
This is a nice Italian restaurant in a cool neighborhood. The service was perfect from beginning to end. The mushroom ravioli, with porcine mushrooms, is to die for. It really is a must-try. My son had the lasagna, which was very good, with a red sauce. My wife had an amazing rigatoni bolognese. We will return every time we're in Reno. I will ALWAYS have the ravioli.

Yelp
Made me sick and for 30 a plate of pasta sauce and cheese, no bread no salad not worth much!

Yelp
This place was amazing! From the welcoming staff (Owners) to the deliciously prepared food and classy ambiance. I will definitely be coming back for more. If you are looking for great Italin food, good wine and an outstanding atmosphere, I recommend this spot right in the heart of downtown Reno on the river

Yelp
Try the lasagna, it's amazing! Wish they would validate parking at nearby garage. Service could be a little better/nicer but still good.
