"Led by six-time James Beard Award–winning chef Marcus Samuelsson, this fish-and-chop house is the result of nearly four years of research and collaboration with local Bahamian purveyors. The menu reimagines Caribbean comfort food using native ingredients—examples include fried chicken with sour orange hot honey, tuna tartare with cassava chips, and Marcus’s Cornbread served with a spice-infused, rum-spiked butter—and it features a signature “Yes, Chef” cocktail (vodka, pineapple gum syrup, and ginger). The kitchen emphasizes local sourcing (sour oranges, hydroponically grown herbs and tomatoes, passion-fruit hot sauce, and house pickles) and cultural sensitivity: traditional items like conch salad are left to local cooks while the restaurant adapts presentation and techniques. Wow…there are several places to eat here at Baha Mah BUT not any that I’ve found that were as good as this. Appetizer, Conch Fritters. Salad, Lettuce Wedge was HUGE (share this $17 starter), Entree’, Grouper Seared on both sides and finished in the broiler. Veggies (Collard Greens), were spot-on Great! Drinks were refilled before empty. My GoTo spot for dinner. You must have a reservation well before dinner. Lesson learned! It sells out. We sat at the bar.

We didn’t have a reservation but they insisted that we sit right at the bar even though the surrounding tables at the bar were empty!! The creamed collard greens were delicious! The corn bread & famous chicken were not impressive at all! The octopus was excellent! The bartenders were very nice & engaging! I’d recommend making a reservation way in advance for the dining room.

From the time we walked in until the time we left we were all blown away by the food, the atmosphere and the service! The entire resort had great food but this was hands down the absolute best food on the resort! Kristen upstairs was so friendly and helpful. She needs to be recognized for her hospitality and customer service.

This was our second visit to Baha Mar, and after missing the chance to dine at Marcus Chop House the first time, we made it a point to book months in advance for this trip—and let me tell you, it was so worth the wait! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately knew we were in for something special. But what truly elevated the entire experience was our incredible server, Matthew. He was an absolute standout—attentive without being overbearing, lightning-fast with everything we needed, and genuinely kind and personable. It's rare to encounter someone who makes you feel both completely taken care of and totally relaxed, but Matthew did just that. He truly made our evening unforgettable. As for the food—WOW. Every dish we tried was nothing short of phenomenal. From the perfectly cooked steaks to the vibrant, flavorful sides and indulgent desserts, the entire meal was a masterclass in fine dining. The presentation, the flavors, the ambiance—it all came together for an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time. If you’re visiting Baha Mar, do not miss Marcus Chop House—and if you’re lucky enough to have Matthew as your server, you’re in for a top-tier experience. We can’t recommend it enough!

Excellent menu with tasty starters and specials. Don't miss the cornbread and the conch salad. Very well crafted cocktails and a solid wine menu round out this location. Try the Starry Night!

A good place to dine overall. We went there for lunch. Staff were accommodating and seated us without any reservations. We had the cornbread, conch salad, conch croquettes, fried yard bird and desert. Selection was great but a bit pricey especially for the fried chicken, which was slightly on the dry side, but sauce made up for it. Staff was way to keen on picking up the dishes before we were done and it happened at least 3 times. Desert was an incredible Guava creme Brule cheesecake. So light and creamy! Definitely recommend for some island cuisine.
