"Chef Marcus Samuelsson, who you probably know from TV or Red Rooster in NYC or Miami, has a spot right here in Nassau in the Baha Mar hotel. Chop House does upscale Bahamian dishes really well, like conch croquettes and island seafood rice, served to the background of a beachfront location that’s perfect for romantic dinners. It generally feels like a typical resort hotel—you know, lots of people wearing flowing kaftans and airy indoor spaces where the salty breeze somehow makes the food taste better. The best views are on the upper level, which is sometimes reserved for private events, but they host fun DJ sets on Fridays and Saturdays you can check out even if you’re not staying at the hotel." - Ashleigh Sean Rolle

Marcus at Baha Mar, was excellent. The cornbread is must have for the table. The side portion of Mac and cheese is enough for two to three people to share, depending on appetite. I personally loved the mashed potatoes.

Marcus at Baha Mar provides a lovely lunch experience in a unique standalone location right next to the beach and the water park, adding to its charm. The setting is bright and airy, with a casual yet upscale vibe that perfectly complements its proximity to the ocean. Whether you’re coming off a fun day at the water park or just strolling along the beach, it feels like a great spot to pause and enjoy a meal. The menu offers a mix of flavorful options, with dishes like the conch croquettes delivering a delightful taste of the Bahamas. The lunch options are varied, from rich and indulgent plates like lobster mac and cheese to lighter offerings like fresh seafood salads. At Marcus restaurant the shrimp and grits was delicious! Unfortunately the cornbread didn't live up to it's reputation, and I wanted to like the rum butter but I didn't no matter how many times a tasted it. Lovely place to chill and gaze out at those Caribbean turquoise waters while enjoying a meal.

This is, without a doubt, the best food and cocktails we’ve had since arriving on the island! Every dish and drink was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a foodie, dining with family, or simply someone who values exceptional hospitality, this spot is an absolute must-visit. What made our visit even more special was the opportunity to meet Marcus himself. He was so humble and gracious, even taking a moment to chat with us about the kid-friendly menu since we had our little ones with us. Thank you, Marcus, for making our evening so unforgettable! We can’t recommend it highly enough and will most certainly be returning!

Hands down the best resort at Bahamas Mar. the cornbread appetizer is the best and make sure to always add lobster to any meal you get. The service was out of this world and everyone makes you feel right at home and is very attentive your needs. Within are 4 night stay we went 3 times.

I've only heard of the restaurant but never visited, until now. I was hoping it to be good and it was. Everything that was brought, was well prepared and delicious. It's definitely on my map of places to dine. It's a bit of a walk to the front door, but worth it. Think of it as a "digestive walk" before and after the meal. Well done "Marcus at Baha Mar".

Visited on Oct 14th - staying at the hyatt, was seated quickly for our 7:30 reservation. Service was friendly and fast. Ordered the street corn, the shrimp and grits and the spaghetti Piccadilly. All were delicious. There was a decent amount of lobstet in the pasta and 6 huge shrimp in the grits. Would recommend. Also had the tamarind smash and the rake and scrape cocktails. Both were made well and tasted good!

Enjoyed our meal here. Recommend the pasta, NY strip and truffle whipped mash. We had an earlier reservation so no wait time, it seems as the night gets busier the service does slow down so that’s something to keep in mind. If you don’t mind waiting, go later. If you mind, I’d do a 530-630 reservation! Otherwise very tasty food and kind staff
