Mixed feelings on my experience here, overall I won't return. Walked in and it was 80-90% empty but we waited about 10 minutes to get seated. We ordered drinks and an app, the app came out immediately, I recommend both their deviled eggs and their Old Fashioned. We ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese and steak. The steak we ordered as medium rare - it came out as well done. My husband tried a bite because he didn't want to waste it, but at the price of the steak we ended up sending it back. The waitress didn't seem very concerned about it but took it back for us. While you would believe it would be made a priority in the kitchen, it took about 10-15 minutes for the second steak to come out and I finished eating in that time. The reason I have mixed feelings is because all the food was delicious, the fried chicken was extremely heavy and greasy - comparing it to The Yardbird at the Venetian, but overall the meal was great; loved the mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, and steak. However, service was lacking and I find it hard to believe a restaurant that should be of a high caliber sent out a well done steak in place of a medium rare. They didn't even rush to fix it and we ended up eating our meal at two different times. Their only attempt to make amends was to offer us free dessert, which we declined as the meals are pretty heavy. Their menu was inconsistent with what is online as well as listed outside of their entryway. They said they no longer offered some of the items listed and what was on the menu for $38 came out at $40. This isn't a big deal but this is a 3 month old restaurant and it's supposed to be mid to high end. How are these little things missed? Overall my husband's birthday dinner was a bit dampened with the entree situation. Good food but given the service and prices, we'll skip it next time.

I give them 3 stars because of the service, but the food was definitely overpriced for what I received. Initially, I ordered the fish and it was burnt. I sent it back and got the Yardbird instead. The greens that came with it tasted like Glory Greens from a can. At least they were flavorful. When we arrived, I asked the hostess what would she recommend and she said that she had never tried the food. She then said that today would have been a good time to try, since it wasn’t that busy. However, when I asked for an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and tea), I was told that they ran out of both lemonade and tea. This was around 5 p.m. on a day that wasn't that busy. They seemed to have been short staffed and poorly managed. This was my first visit and will try them again later. Maybe it was an off day; however, as a suggestion never serve a customer something that you wouldn't want to eat.

We came for Sunday brunch with high expectations and the food was just ok. It took 15 minutes for seating not because the place was super crowded but because "she wanted to give the kitchen some time". Once seated it took 5 minutes to get service. Our waitress was super kind and the service picked up tremendously after our first interaction. We ordered monkey bread that was listed under "for the table". The portion was way too small for the table...it was two round pieces smaller than tennis balls. The taste was just ok...I wouldn't be surprised if they had microwaved them. We both had the bird and egg (fried chicken, eggs and biscuits) and felt the chicken was bland. We enjoyed the eggs and biscuits. Overall the ambiance is perfect but they have to get service under control and improve the food. For the prices they are offering I wouldn't make a trip here until they get through their growing pains.

I guess MARCUS read the other reviews and decided to step it up a bit/do better because our service here was delightful. Lol! The restaurant itself is beautiful. The waiters were very polite and efficient. My food was good and priced reasonably. My friend, on the other, really didn't like hers. The very polite manager offered to give her something she might like instead at no extra charge; which my friend accepted. Had it not been for my friend not liking her food and the inappropriate couple groping each other and making-out right beside our table, then it would have been 5 stars! But overall, the food was good and the staff was very polite and friendly.

$70.00 for a whole fried chicken and 1 side of greens, 1side of macaroni and cheese, and 2 biscuits with gravy? You be the judge. See the pictue. Should he be Chopped? Do you think there is a similar seasoning theme in the variuos foods? Nicely decorated; slightly dusty and small webs on fixtures above, visible during the day, but wonderful mix of natural light with lighting fixtures. Delicios soup.

We had an absolutely horrible experience at Marcus. When we arrived we were seated quickly but received no guidance that the brunch was buffet only or how the system worked. We waited nearly 15 minutes before a server came up to offer us water and inform us about the buffet only AFTER we asked for a menu. Our table had old food stains - which were never cleaned even though we asked the server twice. We were brought our bill as soon as we began to eat, having not been offered anything to drink besides water. Service was slow and nearly nonexistent. The food itself was varied. The salmon and French toast were tasty but most of the other options ranged from bland to over seasoned. Nothing was stellar. I believe good food and good ambiance/service are worth any cost in the world, but this was a rare instance I would call a complete waste of money.

Service was friendly but slow. My group ordered off a prix fixe menu that included deviled eggs, cornbread, Caesar salad, and choice of several entrees. I had the yard bird with collard greens and mashed potatoes. The food was flavorful if slightly over salted. Southern influenced offerings made for an interesting menu selection. Staff was very accommodating however we had to ask for water tells on several occasions despite the restaurant not being full.

Good food, very poor service. Front of the house is horrible: no smiles, when asked about our reservation, we were told to hold on and ignored for about 5-10 minutes. In the first 50 minutes at the restaurant we had one glass of water, cornbread, one drink and our order was placed. For appetizers we ordered crab dip. It was good but nothing to scream about. Our main meal included red cabbage vegetarian meal, fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and hamburger. All the food was good except my fries with the hamburger came cold. I got them replaced and they were delicious but the server failed to even say I am sorry. Just dropped them off on the table. When it came to paying the check, the server dropped the check off, started cleaning the table, and as soon as I signed it he took it with him. This restaurant will not survive long especially with the prices they are charging. All the staff needs to be trained properly and show a little enthusiasm ( I Don't think we saw one person smile the whole time(2 hours) we were there). We will not be back. We will try the steak place next time as that looked more inviting when we walked by.
