Very nice gourmet market. The meat, cheese and prepared foods sections are all good. The frozen and bakery sections are small as is the produce section. They also have a selection of their own brand of ice cream. Employees are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is large.

We had lunch at the Marczyk Market at the Denver airport and it was excellent. Our sandwiches were very fresh with nice crusty bread. My favorite was the yogurt parfait. It was not like anything you typically encounter—definitely top- shelf. It is airport food, so of course it was expensive, but at least it was delicious.

I wish we had one on every corner! Love the vibe and the seasonality of the selection. I'm enjoying the beautiful Heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella today and tonight the Tilapia. I will be back for the dark chocolate!

Went here to film a sketch for a Babcock Studios production, and the staff was very accommodating. Terrific location for what we needed, and the crew and cast were impressed by the location, the deli also is incredible. Totally will be back!

Really disappointed with the direction I see them going. I've shopped here for a decade and gotten my Thanksgiving turkey from them for the last 5 years. This year was a wildly different experience and when I called to ask for help and give feedback, I was transferred to "meat and seafood" who seemed too busy to bother and just explained away all my issues with excuses. I went to pick up my turkey and was told that I hadn't stuck closed enough to my appointment window and would have to come back, turned away empty-handed. After making a second trip down there, I ended up paying $20 more than I was quoted when I reserved the turkey. In years past, I was able to pay in full online ahead of time, but this year was just given an estimate and charged a deposit. I reserved a smaller turkey because I have a smaller party to feed. I was given a bird over the range I selected and charged more than I paid last year. All of this was merely inconvenient, but I was happy with my purchase given past experience so I went home. Then I discovered that the turkey was frozen solid. I couldn't get it open to brine. So I left it to defrost overnight in the fridge. 24 hours later, it's still full of ice but manageable. The man on the phone says that it was just on the bottom of the cooler and that's how they come. I paid for a fresh turkey angled got a frozen one. One that threw off my prep timing as well. His suggested solution was to "just leave it out on the counter for an hour." I really hope that's not how they handle their meat in store. Then giblets came pouring out loose. There was a bag of organs and additional extra livers falling out of the cavity. Just not the quality I am paying for. Finally, the bird had 5 large black spots that I assumed were variation on feathers or skin, but it was still concerning so I decided to call. The man was very dismissive and obviously too busy to be bothered. He told me as long as it doesn't smell, it's fine. But no one heard my concerns or my experience. No one bothered to offer to help. Just "do you have any more questions bud?" I will not be getting a turkey here again.

Google
I shop here because it's convenient and they sell a lot of things that you can't find easily in other stores. Their prepared food needs a lot of improvement, I have bought multiple things that were unsatisfactory. Like salads with slimy/rotten cucumbers, sandwiches with rotten tasting cheese, and the most recent one was mac and cheese that had a foreign object that was hard and almost broke my tooth

Alex Montgomery

Google
A very nice market. The owners of the store are Polish and it certainly shows in the stores selection. They have so many quality food options. They are one of the only places around Denver I can find some quality dark chocolate. They have a large selection of fine meats, cheeses, bread, snacks, water, wine, you name it. I will certainly be shopping here routinely.

Yelp
I love this little market. It is what local grocery store dreams are made of. Deli sides & soups, fresh produce & baked goods/bread, an eclectic selection of sauces and dressings, and a wine shop. One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood.

Yelp
It has been quite a few years since my last review and I've been to Marczyk's many times since then, so it's probably time for an update. This is a very pretty specialty grocery that offers a good-sized parking lot and a separate, but attached wine store. The grocery includes an interesting selection of dry goods, many of which are unusual or unique. There are excellent meat and seafood departments which specialize in premium products. There's a deli which offers sandwiches and has many prepared items plus a good selection of premium meats and cheeses. The produce selection is always great and there are bakery items, dairy, and a small frozen section including made in-house ice cream. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. Pricing is high, but this is a specialty store with a focus on premium products.

Yelp
Denver airport location. not one of the many employees standinf around spoke to us. My Turkey sandwich was bone dry and flavorless. Being in that location there is no option to go back and remedy any issues such as these. highly disappointed as I've heard such good things about you.
google avatar

Yelp
This market has a specific customer in mind. One who is a foodie. A Bougie Betty or Bill who wants to eat something unique to brag about. Someone who wants to eat local or small brands and doesn't mind paying for it. If you are that type of person then you won't mind buying things in this store. If you aren't it would be a negative experience. I bought a few things and sighted some for future potential purchases (tillamook ice cream anyone). I would probably come again for a fresh ingredient search for dinner sometime.

Yelp
Epic sandwiches, great people, and a wonderful selection of organic meat/fish and produce. I highly recommend the "Jedi." So good, I took a second away with me for lunch the next day. Highly recommended!

Brent S.

Yelp
Food quality has changed and not in a good way. Used to go there for sandwiches and other difficult to procure items, but I've found Tony's Meat Market to have better quality and prices. They are both an equal drive from my house, but not an equal experience.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming here with zero list or idea of whatcha need and the store guiding me! Every time I come in, I find a new gem. Sometimes it's a new hot sauce, bread, soup, or something totally else! Everyone working here is so friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have!

Martine C.

Yelp
So sad , I just wanted a yummy chocolate brownie u know a deeply chocolaty, buttery, dense and not sickly sweet brownie-perhaps studded with chunks of really decadent chocolate or perhaps walnuts kind of brownie. So I went to Marczyks and bought a brownie with their name on it and when I took a bite it was obvious it was a simple square from a terrible mix overly sweet, dry no love at all! What a let down- threw it away and headed to Aviano in Cherry Creek for a fantastic brownie!! Come on Marczyks fine food- what is happening??

Yelp
Marcy's is a wonderful boutique market. There are unusual items, beautiful produce and meat. The quality is excellent, as is the service. The baguette and pan au levain are two of my favorite breads in Denver. The ice cream and hand pies rock! It's pricey, but we love it!
google avatar

Yelp
We purchased a porchetta from Marczyk about 2 weeks ago. I was a little nervous about roasting it but it turned out fabulous. The flavors were phenomenal -we couldn't stop eating it. Extremely tender and worth trying it. I would purchase again for a dinner party. Thank you Marczyk's for challenging me and my taste buds! Jane K-W

Yelp
Love coming to Marczyks! This place has the best artisan snacks and goods. I always come here when I'm looking for a specific food item or something that a chain grocery store doesn't hold. Also it's a great opportunity to support a local business! Definitely don't miss out on their wine tasting on the first Friday of every month from 4-7 either! The wine here is amazing and the people who work here are super knowledgeable about what they're selling. Also it's always a perk when a storefront has a parking lot with tons of space and easy access!

Yelp
Curated That is the word that comes to mind when describing Marczyk Fine Foods. Marczyk is a small local store selling the best of the best. From their meats, cheeses, grocery items all are unique and interesting. The small wine and liquor extension carries things you will not find at the big box stores. Are they priced like Walmart....like WTF?? No you pay for a curated experience with a wonderful ambiance. If you have ever visited Bi-Rite Market in San Francisco you will know what I mean. Me? I am a sucker for places like Marczyk....and for the amount of folks shopping there I ain't the only one. I will be back for their chacuterie and a specialty sandwich. Great store. Great service Great products Support the Local guy!!!

Yelp
Two things stand out with Marczyk foods. High quality goods and customer service. Both are outstanding. So many fresh from scratch stuff, deli sandwiches, salads.. etc. And if there is a better bakery in town, I am not aware of it. Their breads and baked goods are just off the chart!
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Yes, it's a spendy little grocery store, but the service, artisanal products, and incredibly friendly staff has me coming back over and over. On my last visit, I took out of town guests that just had to pick up a couple of items. :) Glad to see this store has the same effects on me as it does on my guests.

Yelp
Best deli in the city. It's not even close. All the sandwiches are insane good. Sure a bit on the pricier end but I'd rather spend the extra few bucks over some slug subway sandwich. Jedi, fire. Sangre de Cristo, heat. Chutney, scorching. Philly w peppers, literally so fire my fingers are burning up texting this. The home made baguette, best outside of France. Theres this green quinoa power bowl I'd crush from time to time too. Quality. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Just ate at the newly opened Denver Airport location, by Gate C62. What a great Rockpile Roast Beef sandwich! It was quite full of toast beef, some arugala, topped with a.mild horseradish dressing. Chewy bresd like sourdough. They have a wide variety of nonmenu foods to grab and go. I suggest you order from the menu for a quick to go on the plane.

Yelp
One of my favorite local "specialty" markets. Whenever i'm looking for something special this is where I head. They have great to go options and deli sandwiches as well. I wanted to do a tinned fish style board and they have incredible options including wild pulpo (yum). We also love their pirogies and ice cream. The milk & cookies flavor is awesome. Super friendly and helpful staff and awesome local and specialty products. The store is always clean and perfectly organized. Awesome place to come and discover unique new products!!
google avatar

Yelp
Very clean offerings with almost no products containing canola oil, or unnecessary oils in general, prices are reasonable for the quality, cashiers are always friendly and highly competent. Nice house brand olive oil and sausages. This place is a great resource for the community. An easy 5 stars, in my opinion. Been coming here for months and it's served me very well.

Bobby G.

Yelp
Great products that are top end cut and quality. That being said, you will certainly be paying top end so expect to spend 200% -250% of the typical cost of a cut of meat. It's worth it if money is no object. If you are feeding on a budget, try Costco instead.

Michelle B.

Yelp
I used to go to Marczyk's and respected their business. The other day we were hoping to grab a quick bite at DIA and all we could find was this 4 inch sandwich. We were desperate though. $16! No cheese despite the pkg and no mustard anywhere, no taste. The ham was fine or else I'd have given 1 star.
google avatar

Rebecca E.

Yelp
The filet mignons are THE best!! We drive 30 minutes just for them. Employees are very friendly and helpful; terrific ambiance.

Bennett P.

Yelp
I come to Marczyk's every few weeks usually at the 17th Ave & Clarkson store. They have full range of foodstuffs from the U.S. and Europe. They have frozen foods, a meat counter, deli, produce, seafood on crushed ice and baked goods. They have house branded coffee, ready to eat takeout and their wine/beer/liquer shop is next door. They have a parking lot and 2 free gender-free restrooms.

Greg N.

Yelp
I would normally give Marczyk 5 stars as I typical enjoy the whole shopping experience there. However, this time they dropped the ball. Last week my wife and I hosted a dinner party. I called the Uptown store, spoke with Kevin and ordered six 1 and a 1/4 inch thick bone in Rib Eye steaks for pickup the next day. They were packaged and ready on time. However, when I unwrapped them at home I discovered that they were cut to barely 1 inch in thickness. Needless to say I was quite disappointed and it was too late to swap them out. Word of warning: never assume that they got your order right. Open the package age inspect the cut before heading home.
google avatar

Pete S.

Yelp
I would give this place five stars for the last year straight. They have slipped the last three weeks I think they changed the pars for the sandwiches. They have cut the ingredients in half if not more they went from a great lunch spot to paying 10 dollars for bread.

Phil P.

Yelp
you guys used to put a good amount of deli meat in your premade sandwiches but now there's not even half the amount of meat. Used to love coming in and getting those.

Paula S.

Yelp
Marczyk's is an upper end specialty store that has been in uptown for around 22 years. Initially had unbelievably great food for a well deserved premium. Now, sandwiches are made sometimes incorrectly , and if correct have waaay less meat than ever before. Deli items are mostly meh...and their cheeses are overpriced and easily purchased online. The 3 stars are for the still (mostly ) stellar and friendly 5 star staff.
google avatar

Malori H.

Yelp
I love this market! They have great meats to choose between some seasoned already for you if you prefer it that way. They have pre made food which is always delicious, I especially love their macaroni salad. You can also get a sandwich made and their Italian is probably the best Italian I've ever had. It is expensive coming in around $15 but to me it's worth it. They also have a wine store attached which is convenient. One stop shop!
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
Huge markup on scant and mediocre $14 sandwich. Expected more. Almost laughably, not much beef. Saw someone else's and same deal. Came here a few years ago and split a sandwich with my wife - generous ingredients and delicious. True Deli style. Not so today.
google avatar

Yelp
So when we moved back to Denver for leaving for one year we were so excited to be able to shop here again, but it's really gone downhill. We were shopping here twice a week & had to stop. We probably wasted over $200 in buying spoiled food. We have received spoiled chicken from their meat counter, broccoli, tomatoes, & asparagus with mold. On a good day the vegetables have been sitting out so long within 2 days you have to eat them from when you purchase or you'll have to throw them away. Their customer service is also awful. We expressed to them how they sold us 3 lbs of spoiled chicken to which the man at the meat counter just replied "We get our chicken on Monday's and Thursday's." Also, you'll need to bag your own groceries they would rather stand there and do nothing than help you bag. This is such a disappointing review to write, but even after being let down 2 x a week for a month we will not be wasting anymore money here.
google avatar

Terrence L.

Yelp
Holy catfish, this place is expensive! Great selection of foods and fresh vegetables, but pricey. Order the sandwich to go, and it was difficult to eat. The bread was hard, when you bit in to it all the innards pushed out the back end because you couldn't bite down on the bread. Not a sandwich to eat in your car when you're on the go. Very messy. Dont live in the area, was referred as the place to go. Too expensive for me.
google avatar

Morgan T.

Yelp
Work being one block west makes Marczyk my go-to and must-go for several needs: coffee + market-made granola on busy mornings, sunshine and an Al Fresco sandwich on their sidewalk seating during lunch, a wine bottle (or 3) for happy hour at home, a landing spot for our patients if they arrive early to their appointment. You get what you pay for - and you pay for exceptional quality!
google avatar

Kristin ..

Yelp
I've been here twice now. I really enjoy the selection and unique items, although their markup is a bit excessive. -Their brats are delicious -Fish is super fresh -Pass on the marinated pork loin (apparently they don't know how to renove the silverskin and lacked flavor) -The Gravlax is to die for. SO buttery and delicious. Buy with the frozen Rosenburg's Bagels -Vegetable section is good. Loved that they had romanesco as I don't see it often, they are overpriced though. -Customer Service is excellent and the staff is always friendly
google avatar

Todd H.

Yelp
When they say gourmet market, they aren't kidding. If you ever need a specialty kind of meat, there is no where else to go. Service and food here is impeccable... Every item here looks like its been curated to please your taste. I also love they have a deli and create some fine sandwiches. I had the french dip which was amazing. When I'm looking to impress someone, this is my go to.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
Marczyk has such a great local neighborhood vibe to it. The staff is super friendly and take time to engage w. you, not just answer questions. Also, how are they able to pack SO MUCH variety into a relatively small shop!?!? Got a recipe that requires specialized items, find it here. Regular milk and egg run? Also, find it here. PLUS - they support Colorado Public Radio. WINNER.
google avatar

Brittany R.

Yelp
It's a cute shop if you are looking for just chips, sodas, water and maybe some cuts of meat. You may even find some wine you're looking for. But don't bother with the sandwiches. I ended up paying $13.99 + tax for a half a sandwich . wtf. You'll get more value at sandwich shops in the area

Nicholas H.

Yelp
Amazing food great service best spot in town Definitely coming back soon five stars.
google avatar

Elizabeth J.

Yelp
My favorite place to grab a fresh sandwich in the city. I can also pick up groceries for dinner. Having a beer/wine store connected with single, pack and case options means that I can hop over on my lunch hour and grab everything I need in one quick trip
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
This place is not making sandwiches due to covid. Buyers beware! They had some other great pre made items though for people to enjoy!
google avatar

Jackson L.

Yelp
No one will get this reference, but here it goes... Marczyk fills the void that used to be satisfied by Taylor's Market when I lived in Sacramento. This is a great little "boutique" market that carries the ingredients you're looking for, (usually) without breaking the bank: Fresh, diverse butcher case including seafood, various steaks, and - most importantly - their own ground beef mixture and pre-formed Marczyk's steakburger patties that I just pulled off the grill and devoured a few hours ago. Yep, still thinking about it... House-baked bread and housemade ice cream, plus a well-curated cheese case (Pt. Reyes Blue Cheese, in Denver?! Yes!) help to round this place out. Fresh, organic vegetables can be viewed en route to the back of the store where the deli counter sits - delicious sandwiches await, along with deli meats, pre-made pizza dough, packaged pre-cooked meals, etc. It's all here, and it's reasonably priced. They also have a small-ish liquor store attached that offers wine, beer, and assorted booze - not a huge selection, but always convenient to be able to score a sixer as you're picking up BBQ ingredients for the weekend. On top of all this, I've never encountered a Marczyk's staffer that wasn't 100% friendly and helpful - they seem to be enjoying what they're doing, and it comes through in their interactions. I don't come here as often as I'd like given that it's a little far from my house, but I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood.
google avatar

J K.

Yelp
I want to like this place but I'm done with them. This is the second poor customer experience and there are enough boutique grocery and butcher options in Denver that you can go somewhere else that has fair pricing and great customer service. I come back because I love their cuts of beef. I know it's expensive and today I paid $22.99/lb, got two 770s, and asked for a marinade (also delicious.) My problem is they poured it into the bag BEFORE weighing the meat. I don't mind paying a premium for delicious beef, but paying $22.99/lb for their marinade is absurd. $70 for the two steaks, but I can't tell you how much the steaks weigh on their own because he never weighed them alone. It's basically a variable rate; order anything with marinade and they charge you for the marinade at the rate of that cut. That's ridiculous. Give me a flat rate or pour it in after you weigh the meat, but pouring it ahead of time is bad business and a shady way to make an already expensive cut more pricey. I asked why he was pouring it in before he weighed it, and he said, "I always do this." It's an easy thing to do differently. Maybe time for a process change? Equally odd: When I first ordered with the marinade he told me, "Oh let me check if I have it. You should have told me ahead of time." Ahead of time? Confusing, since I just got to the counter and asked for it right away. "When is ahead of time?" He said I should call two days ahead and he could have it ready for me. When they get busy, he doesn't know if he will have it available. Great. That would be very convenient, and great service, if only I had known two days ago about my plans for tonight. Next time I have impromptu plans, I won't come here. I get what he's saying but didn't like being talked to like that. The chastising delivery was off-putting and the guy next in line was also a little shocked by it. He heard the exchange about the marinade and made a comment to me after that the pricing there always feels like he needs a calculator to understand it. Sadly, I'll enjoy this last cut from Marczyk's and I won't be going back. I'll stick with The Local Butcher on Oneida in the future for great customer service and pricing that makes sense.

Tracy C.

Yelp
I ordered a tuna sandwich, the tuna was dry and I asked for mayo on both sides. That didn't happen. The sandwich was less than a half inch thick for 11.99. Never agai

Jessica W.

Yelp
love this store sandwiches are amazing plus they have some hard to come by products as well as the delicious salted caramels

Yelp
Our favorite place to shop for groceries. We literally bought a house in the neighborhood with the consideration that Marczyk's would only be a few blocks away. What's not to love? Amazing breakfast bagels, made-to-order sandwiches, and prepared deli items. High-quality produce. The best meats and seafood in town--we only buy these from Marczyk's. Even Whole Foods' proteins aren't as nice. Great cheese selection. The wine store is so amazing. I can't say enough. Yes, Marczyk's is pricey, but you are paying for quality. Have a budget, and choose items wisely. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about this place. Our favorite Uptown neighborhood shop!
google avatar

Juan U.

Yelp
This is perfect when you need to get a sandwich or a bottle of wine. My favorite sandwiches to go are the meatball and the brie and ham sandwiches. I love the friendly service and the fact it is located just a block from my home.
google avatar

Phillip D.

Yelp
When you absolutely must have the very best quality in meats, fish and produce (and did I mention outstanding baguettes) this is one of the best places to shop in Denver. Sure it will cost you more than your national supermarket chain and more than Whole Foods but the quality and service are second to none. I tell my friends that Marczyk is sort of like the Neiman Marcus of food stores. They pamper you with personalized service and when you are in need of an ingredient that every other store has sold out of, rest assured that Marczyk will likely still have some in stock and it will be garden fresh. At least that has always been my experience at their 17th avenue location for the past 14 years.

Yelp
I will never forget the first time I Yelped "Grocery" from my apartment and 7 results showed up within a mile. My knees got weak and my stomach kept growling ferociously. I thought I was dreaming. When I saw there was a small neighborhood market (that even has a booze shop attached) 3 blocks from my house- I knew this would be real deal. I did some online research on the place before I went to Marczyk's. They have a pretty informative website which I suggest checking out to give you a better idea what to expect here. It also states it does not carry everything- so don't get your panties in a wad if there is something they do not carry. The carts are small, and I do not suggest anyone over 6'4 push one. The aisles are narrow, and the cart is short- I was almost in pain when I was done shopping- pathetic since I only spent 15 minutes in there. Everything they have is primo- and the prices reflect it as well. For the most part since everything should be fresh, I wouldn't suggest stocking up here- only getting bits and pieces at a time. Everything looked mouth watering as I wandered through the tight sections. The sandwiches are worth a shot- especially if old school French sandwiches are your thing. They have a lot of local dairy products I suggest checking out- epspecially the ice cream. As I said earlier, there is a Wine/booze shop attached to the store- with a separate check out (I found that out the hard way once). But they do carry decent beer and a small- but select group of bourbons/liquors as well. It is the 2nd closest place to my pad that sells booze and food and perfect for when I need something on the way home from work. Clutch, but pricey- I guess I am paying for convenience and quality here. Friendly staff.

Yelp
I was visiting Denver with friends this weekend and we strolled into Marcyzk Fine Foods while we waited for a table at a restaurant nearby. I absentmindedly picked up a Rice Krispie treat and was delighted by how soft and fresh it felt in its wrapper. I bought it on a whim. I need the world to know how outstandingly delicious the Rice Krispie treats are at this little store. It was chewy, marshmallowy perfection and I wish I had purchased ten to take home with me. If you like Rice Krispie treats, you will not be disappointed by this item. I highly recommend.

Gregory M.

Yelp
It's a little pricey but the quality of the food is good. Plus it's not far away from my place. They're friendly. I miss Burger Nights. Hopefully next summer they will back doing this every Friday in 2023.

Yelp
The service here is good. Theyre pretty helpful. Plus they were doing a huge pig roast! Sadly, it was a little more expensive for what you get and they didnt let me just buy the roast pig. I had to get a plate of side dishes I didnt like. They also gave me a piece of the pigs skin roasted, and it was way too hard for me to even eat! They do have higher end selection of food. it is clean here, but very expensive. If you need something you probably cant find in any regular grocery store, I bet you could find it here.
