The Best London Cafes and Coffee Shops with WiFi for Freelancers | Eater London

"This sprawling, multi-use warehouse space on the edge of London Fields in Hackney is one of the better places to work from in the city’s hippest borough. WiFi here is reliable and there’s plenty of space at any time of the day. The cafe which serves coffee from its own Flying Horse roastery on site is dependable. Breakfast sandwiches include bacon, egg sqaure, and American cheese. Plenty of outdoor space but be careful with the pizza; the £5 marinara veers wildly between acceptable and not." - James Hansen

Where to Eat in Broadway Market and London Fields: The Best Restaurants | Eater London

"A multi-use venue is one of the area’s best spots to pick up a decent coffee, breakfast sandwich, bottle of wine, bag of crisps, a pizza, or a plate of simple unfussy seasonal fare. The laid-back service and chilled approach to sitting in and hanging out for a whole day (should you wish) with a laptop, friends, or colleagues lends it a sort of common room, clubby vibe which is good in different ways for different reasons every day of the week." - Adam Coghlan

Mare Street Market Review - Hackney - London - The Infatuation

"Just when you think there are enough ‘cool’ places to eat and drink in Hackney, another one opens to add to your east London decision-making anxiety. Mare Street Market is a very large space that has a bar, a restaurant serving good enough pizza, a deli, record shop, and outdoor space. All of this adds up to make it a pretty decent destination when you’re rolling too deep and need to make a decision." - Eileen Twum

Such a nice lunch spot!! Went with my turn friends and were served by Ella who was great! The daiquiris were nice and strong and the food tasted amazing and very filling- it wasn’t too busy either but it was midday on a Friday! genuinely great place and we’re definitely going back

Visiting from America! My buddy told me that I should really super definitely come get the Sunday roast. And I was skeptical! I’ve never had a classic British Sunday Roast™️. But: delicious and wonderful. Great service - thank you Lewis! - and a great hot pink daiquiri. And just a good vibe, y’know? People were happy. Children cavorting on Sunday afternoon. Friends having a beer and a talk. Like, what else could I ask for as a person? Strong recommend. Come on a Sunday!

Had lunch here before catching the train - sat outside as it was very hot. Nice seats in the shade - busy place with good atmosphere and friendly helpful service from the staff. We had an all day breakfast, poached eggs on toast and a beef pizza and a few drinks - all very good. Sadly my first choice of French toast was off the menu and the very expensive espresso martini was far too sweet and tasted ready made (out a bottle or tap?) so star off for that, but otherwise we loved this place and would go back.

There’s nowhere better to get a coffee first thing in the morning. Anna and Benjy are super friendly, always cheery and make a great double espresso!

It was quite busy when we visited during the summer weekends. Regardless, we were still able to find a table indoors. The design of the place is absolutely stunning—it does feel like a market (hence the name) but with a more sophisticated twist (if that makes sense!). We had pizza during our visit, but I assume there are other food options available besides Italian. It’s a lovely spot to visit with friends, socialise, and soak in the great vibes.

The chicken burger with kimchi was fire! So much flavour and the chicken burger was the crispiest burger I've ever had! Spot on! The wings, lentil hummus and tacos were all fine but each element had room for improvement. The young waitresses were friendly but on the whole left us to it, which we were happy with. We visited on a Thursday and the place was relatively quiets, there was still a DJ which was nice to see. I would love to visit again during a busier time and that chicken burger was a winner!

Nice interiors and decorations with plenty of spaces to sit inside and outside. Love the part with all the chandeliers, plants and sculptures. Diverse menu with plenty of options in reasonable prices. We went for pizza which was made to perfection about £12 on average. We did not wait long for our food although it was busy. Toilets are clean and sanitary pads provided in the ladies’ room. A lot of attention to small details which you don’t expect when you visit such a busy place. Staff were nice too. So all in all, worth coming back.
