"This sprawling, multi-use warehouse space on the edge of London Fields in Hackney is one of the better places to work from in the city’s hippest borough. WiFi here is reliable and there’s plenty of space at any time of the day. The cafe which serves coffee from its own Flying Horse roastery on site is dependable. Breakfast sandwiches include bacon, egg sqaure, and American cheese. Plenty of outdoor space but be careful with the pizza; the £5 marinara veers wildly between acceptable and not." - James Hansen

"A multi-use venue is one of the area’s best spots to pick up a decent coffee, breakfast sandwich, bottle of wine, bag of crisps, a pizza, or a plate of simple unfussy seasonal fare. The laid-back service and chilled approach to sitting in and hanging out for a whole day (should you wish) with a laptop, friends, or colleagues lends it a sort of common room, clubby vibe which is good in different ways for different reasons every day of the week." - Adam Coghlan

"Just when you think there are enough ‘cool’ places to eat and drink in Hackney, another one opens to add to your east London decision-making anxiety. Mare Street Market is a very large space that has a bar, a restaurant serving good enough pizza, a deli, record shop, and outdoor space. All of this adds up to make it a pretty decent destination when you’re rolling too deep and need to make a decision." - Eileen Twum

Nice interiors and decorations with plenty of spaces to sit inside and outside. Love the part with all the chandeliers, plants and sculptures. Diverse menu with plenty of options in reasonable prices. We went for pizza which was made to perfection about £12 on average. We did not wait long for our food although it was busy. Toilets are clean and sanitary pads provided in the ladies’ room. A lot of attention to small details which you don’t expect when you visit such a busy place. Staff were nice too. So all in all, worth coming back.

Spacious place with a lovely atmosphere (it is a pretty venue with nice chandeliers and delicate lighting). Staff is friendly but not the most efficient (3 stars on that). I had the Mexican burrito, an oat late and an orange juice. The food was delicious, though I was disappointed about the orange juice as it was not natural at all (too artificial).

I love this place. Great atmosphere with a very unique decoration. Great music and, of course, amazing food. The vegan burger was unreal. My partner order the standard burger and he was pretty happy too. Lots of other dishes and a wide variety of modern European cuisine combinations.

Keen to check out the new venue having been to the original several times. They've been open 10 days at this point and no doubt still finding their feet like any venue, staff have been polite and welcoming. We'll be back for sure. It's nice, airy, and aesthetically pleasing. Seating inside and outside. Gluten free pizza and beer (on tap), all menu prices are in line with other venues around. Pizzas look banging!

I read the reviews before going here, many of which were poor so I was hesitant. However, I’m glad I gave it a go because the service we experienced was great; all staff were very welcoming, friendly & attentive. My Korean chickens wings and pizza were delicious. Every aspect of the pizza was perfectly flavourful, including the lovely tomato sauce for the base, and the dough was light, fluffy and thin on the base. My partner also liked the chicken wings and gave a 7/10 for the lobster roll. Neither of us liked the cocktails. The strawberry daiquiri was really bitter/soapy & the rhubarb fix lacked flavour. Loved the chandeliers. We ate in the restaurant section because it was quieter and had table service.

I recently visited Mare Street Market in King’s Cross and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. We ordered pizza, and it was absolutely delightful – perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful toppings. Highly recommended for a great meal and a good time!

The place is very stylish and nice. We had brunch but they didn’t have any brunch bundle with mimosas.. you had to choose every item separately, what increased the price considerably. The Turkish eggs and the coffee where very nice. The service was a little bit slow considering that the place was at 15% of capacity and we were close to the counter. It took them 20 min to take our order, then more to bring the food.. 3 of us had the breakfast at the same time but our 4th member had to wait 10 more minutes… Very nice and gentle, but they could manage time a little bit better

The venue is very cool and has different areas for different vibes. The chandeliers room is definitely my favourite for the big windows and the eclectic style. I am less a fan of the opposite side which I find too gloomy. The staff is very kind and the food is very good. My only negative note is with the noise. The space would benefit from some acoustic treatments.
