I recently had a rather unusual experience at Marechiaro in Bolzano. The atmosphere was quite tense, as the manager could be heard loudly criticizing the pizza maker, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Halfway through our meal, we noticed several staff members leaving, though we were unsure of the reason. At one point, the manager served our plates, but rather than placing them carefully, he simply dropped them on the table without any effort to arrange them properly for us.
The squid was excellent, and the pizza dough was good, but the flavors were not impressive. Unfortunately, the sea bass was overcooked and disappointing. Overall, the restaurant felt overpriced for the quality of the food and the dining experience
