London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"A restaurant with a semi-precious volcanic rock library? Calling all Ross Geller types, Mareida is a new Chilean spot in Fitzrovia with impressive interiors and a delicious-sounding menu. Dishes include churrasco sliders, sweet potato ceviche, beef empanadas, and an impressive-looking chilli-spiced chocolate crémeaux." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

A wonderful restaurant! The Chilean cuisine is simply spectacular, full of flavor and with 10/10 quality. You can really tell the care put into every dish. Highly recommended are the empanadas, the beef tartare (incredibly fresh and well prepared), and the rib eye, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Definitely a place to come back to and recommend.

Really nice restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and service. As a Chilean, I love that there’s finally a place representing our flavours. You just need to keep an open mind that some dishes aren’t exactly like at home, but rather a fine-dining fusion that puts a creative twist on the originals while staying true to their essence. I’ve been twice in the past two months and highly recommend it. My favourites were the lobster empanada, steak, sopaipillas, chicken, tomato salad, and desserts. Plus, if you’re Chilean, you’ll appreciate that they have piscola and marraqueta! It’s a restaurant that fits any occasion, definitely worth a visit.

Mareida is a really special restaurant. The food is delicious, flavourful and beautifully presented, and the set lunch menu was excellent value. I am half Chilean and although I haven’t been back for a long time, the flavours at Mareida immediately reminded me of my childhood. The service from Diego was brilliant and the environment also deserves a special mention - everything is so lovingly thought out, from the decor to the lighting. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in London.

Back to Mareida and still amazed me, new plates and never disappoints. We ordered the classic wagyu, the marraqueta and tartare, a lobster empanada and the dessert was fab! With a pisco sour with white chocolate.

One of the best meals I've had this year. Came for a catch up with friends, having read that Leonie Cooper (Time Out Food Critic) is a fan. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere warm and vibey. And the food is just incredible - sensational empanadas, an absolutely wonderful beef tartare and a moreish crab gratin were our highlights. Can't recommend it highly enough - worth the fifteen minute trek north from the Elizabeth Line!

Mareida is a lovely place with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. I really liked the interior design, especially the stone open kitchen it gives a modern but cosy feeling. Starters: We started with fresh bread, which came with a garlic sauce it was so different and really tasty. We also tried the Milcao, a potato pancake topped with fresh cream and caviar. It was crispy, rich, and full of flavour. Main Course: For the main dish, I had Lomo a lo Pobre (ribeye steak). It was perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a nice char outside. The homemade spicy sauce on the side added a good kick not too hot, just right. Desserts: We finished with two desserts. The Membrillo cheesecake foam with quince, hazelnut ice cream, and pecan praline was smooth and balanced. The Hojarasca was sweet, crunchy and brought a lovely end to the meal. Every dish was presented beautifully, and the flavours were well balanced. You can tell they really care about the food and the experience. Highly recommended ,I’d definitely go again!

I finally had dinner here tonight with a friend after having it on my list for quite some time, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere inviting, and the design—simply stunning. And the food? Absolute culinary art! I left the restaurant genuinely happy and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something exclusive and unforgettable.

An ode to the Chilean cuisine. We loved it. Traditional dishes turned into a "fiesta" on your plate. The Auracaria cocktail a must. Light and fresh. And for those with a Chilean heart, you will have nostalgic moments seeing a.o. the pastel de choclo and chupe de jaiba on the menu.. the last highly recommended! Every dish tasted delicious and the creative way of presenting it was a joy. I wish the whole team of Mareida an amazing start in London and many succesful years to come.
