If you are going towards Darjeeling, this is a well known place. The view from this place is just outstanding. But you have to have at least 2-3 hrs for the dine in. The waiting here alone is more than 1 hrs during busy times. The food was okay okay. We ordered hot chocolate which was not up to the standard. The chicken hotdog was not that good also...very rubbery feeling. And the pan cake was downright uncooked properly and was very hard. And everything was very very expensive. Overall if you want to visit there mostly for the breathtaking view then go for it! But don't expect too much from the food itself.

If you’re heading to Darjeeling and planning to take a break at Margaret’s Deck Tea Lounge, you’re in for a delightful experience! The cozy ambiance of this tea lounge makes it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The white sauce pasta at Margaret’s Deck is a must-try for anyone craving a comforting, creamy dish. The pasta is well-cooked and enveloped in a rich, velvety white sauce that’s subtly seasoned, giving it a perfect balance of flavors. The addition of fresh ingredients like vegetables or chicken (depending on your choice) adds to the dish’s depth, making it a satisfying and hearty meal. As for the pancakes, they’re light, fluffy, and generously served with a drizzle of maple syrup or fresh fruits (depending on the season). The pancakes pair beautifully with a hot cup of tea, which is their specialty. You can enjoy a peaceful moment on the deck, taking in the scenic views of Darjeeling while enjoying your meal. Overall, Margaret’s Deck Tea Lounge is a lovely spot to indulge in some delicious food while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of Darjeeling. The white sauce pasta and pancakes make for a comforting meal, especially if you’re looking for a break from the local dishes. It’s a great stop for travelers seeking both a taste of home and a unique Darjeeling experience.

Nestled in the serene hills of Kurseong, this charming deck offers an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The ambiance is simply breathtaking, with panoramic views of lush green mountains and crisp, fresh air that rejuvenates your senses. It's the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy some good food. The menu is impressively varied, offering a delightful range of options to suit all tastes. Whether you're in the mood for a warm, comforting sandwich or a hearty serving of pasta, there's something to satisfy every craving. The sausages are flavorful, grilled to perfection, and pair wonderfully with a hot cup of tea—one of the deck's standout offerings. For those with a sweet tooth, the brownies and pancakes are absolute must-tries. The decadent, rich brownies are the perfect end to your meal, while the pancakes are fluffy and light, topped with just the right amount of syrup and fruit. The service is warm and attentive, with the staff always ready to recommend their bestsellers or make suggestions based on your preferences. What truly sets this deck apart, though, is the atmosphere: it's peaceful, inviting, and feels like a hidden gem in the heart of the mountains. Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through, a visit here is sure to be a memorable experience.

Location and view wise it is a very beautiful place. They serve tea and have a very classy vibes. The view from their Deck is just mesmerizing. I can go there again just to see the beautiful valley view. But obviously price wise it is a little bit costly.

Margaret's Deck is steeped in heartache and love. In the early 20th century, the estate was managed by Mr. Cruickshank, whose daughter, Margaret, fell deeply in love with the beauty of the land and promised to return. Tragically, she passed away on her journey back. In a heartfelt tribute, the estate was renamed "Margaret's Hope," ensuring her memory lived on amidst the rolling hills and tea gardens. Margaret's Deck is a must-visit destination in Darjeeling, offering the best views of the tea gardens and a stunning sunset. I highly recommend visiting at sunset—the experience is absolutely worth it. Menu Recommendations: Carrot Cake: Rs. 60 Hot Chocolate: Rs. 150 Apple Walnut Cake: Rs. 70 Pork Sausages: Rs. 170 Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Rs. 250 The cakes had an authentic, homemade feel with mild, delightful flavors. The pork sausages were wonderfully smoky, and the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. While the portions were on the smaller side—only four sausages and a small sandwich—the quality was impeccable. The ambiance, the breathtaking view, and the food, though a bit pricey, are well worth every penny, making this a truly memorable experience.

We came as this was highly recommended en route to Glenburn. The food was 3 stars. The location 5 stars. In the food the warm paneer salad was the best. The rest was very average. The semolina cutlet was not so good. The teas were good but priced v high based on the location. Pasta was ok ok. Hot food in 10 degrees C was good to have. Its worth stopping here but keep expectations a bit lower than what we were given.

Went there to buy their first flush on 24th March. Testing facility is not available here (like Makaibari), we had to buy the tea from the restaurant. We tried Margarets Hope First Flush priced 2100/ 100 gm as per their suggestion. Didn't like it - no flavor at all n a strong bitter taste. View from the deck was great though, wished if the tea was half as good.

Heaven, period. This is an amazing cafe on the way to Darjeeling, and the location is heavenly. The food is amazingly good, and so is the atmosphere. Moreover, if you love great Darjeeling tea, then you must try this place at least once.
