It's a busy Saturday afternoon in downtown Atlanta. So I'm giving some grace as I walk in and see dozens of people standing around the hostess stand. Once I get to the front, I learn there is a 50 minute wait. It's a beautiful day, so we walk around the area until we receive the text that our table is ready.
Well, our table was technically ready. We were walked over to a table that had been cleared but not cleaned. So we had to wait for someone to come over to sweep and wipe down the table. After that, we were able to take our seats and check out the menu.
We ordered the kids meals first so they would arrive before ours. Thankfully, this is one of the few restaurants that got it right and brought out the kids cheese burger meals before they brought us our meals. Both kids enjoyed their food.
The adults ordered an appetizer trio of spinach dip, chicken tenders and chicken egg rolls. The chicken was fried hard, but still edible. The egg rolls were a total miss. There were huge chunks of onion that overwhelmed any other flavor. The chicken itself was unflavored and had the texture of mush. It was honestly gross. The spinach dip was good, but nothing special and the chips that accompanied them were subpar.
He ordered a margarita and said it was pretty standard as well. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, especially given the crowd. But the food leaves a bit to be desired.
