Dine-In Movie Theater Alamo Drafthouse Is Opening in Boston | Eater Boston

"Three years after plans were first reported, the celebrity-backed, over-the-top tropical restaurant chain has arrived in a multi-level Faneuil Hall space, focusing on tiki-style drinks and the chain’s signature cheeseburgers, and occupying the former McCormick & Schmick’s location." - Erika Adams

Boston’s Out-of-Town Invaders | Eater Boston

"Boston is apparently getting yet another celebrity-backed chain: Jimmy Buffett’s famously ridiculous Margaritaville confirmed an expansion on Facebook, promising a summer opening and noting that “it’s about the attitude, not the latitude.”" - Eater Staff

Jimmy Buffet Is Opening a Margaritaville Restaurant in Boston | Eater Boston

"I’m not thrilled Boston apparently is getting yet another celebrity-backed chain: Jimmy Buffett’s famously ridiculous Margaritaville. Details are sparse — reps weren’t immediately available and the exact location is unclear — but the company confirmed on Facebook a summer opening and insisted “it’s about the attitude, not the latitude.” Margaritaville already operates 27 restaurants across the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean and is part of Buffett’s hospitality-and-gaming empire, and when it arrives in Boston it’ll serve items like “lava lava” shrimp, a fried chicken salad, seafood mac and cheese and, yes, a “cheeseburger in paradise,” plus a robust list of frozen and regular margaritas served in 22-ounce souvenir cups." - Terrence Doyle

One of my favorite spots to stop and grab a bite to eat. They offer a variety of food and drinks and can host large parties for thier guest. You can call ahead to book a reservation and have your food ready when you arrive. Or you can walk-in and order. Plenty of seating both indoor and out door. The service is fast, but it can slow down when the restaurant gets busy! Be patient the servers definitely work hard for thier customers. Chief, Robert, came by the table and asked how things were. Very good. All the employees at Margaritaville were pleasant to talk with and very friendly.

We came here looking for a meal while walking around Boston, this establishment is nothing short of a scam. As soon as you open the menu your hit by everything on the menu is 20 dollars at least, not to mention that after your order your drinks (which not to mention takes about 20 minuites to even get) and get them everything and I mean literally everything is watered down even the sodas. One of my family members at the table with me had something in his Sprite which we then had to get rid of it and replace it and our server like barely even cared about anything we were talking about and making bad recommendations for food, then I got my meal which is their Grilled Fish Tacos, which I ate and instantly regretted after being bombarded by literally nothing but guacamole and onions actually I separated the fish itself ate it literally no flavor whatsoever. I am currently questioning the stability of this establishment for its pricing and waiting times.

Google
A mixed bag but overall negative. I brought my mother here as she is a fan of Jimmy buffet and has never been to a Margaritaville, and she was really disappointed. Food was fine, we had the shrimp dip to start, which was actually really lovely and we'd recommend and she had the grilled fish Tacos, which she said were nice. I had a lobster roll which did not taste great but my mum liked it so I think it was me who didn't like the taste rather than it being bad... but out lettuce was wilted and soggy and made the whole thing unappetising. The main downside for us was the service. The host was pretty unbothered by us when we arrived. our server spoke very quietly and the place was loud so it was difficult to hear, but the main issue was the brought out our main course right after our appetiser, which seeing as they were all hot dishes meant some got cold or we were mixing flavours. I am from the uk (currently living in NY) where this is the is a total non starter, but I have never experienced it at a sit down restaurant before in the US without at least a warning, or more time between bringing it. It must have been 2 minutes. Then as soon as we finished our cheque was brought before we were asked if we'd like any more drinks or a dessert, so not impressed. Atmosphere was good, as I mentioned it was loud but it was fine at the table, and they had a lot of sports on the TVs which was distracting, but that may be what they were going for. I also like the decor, I have seen people say it's dated but to me it was themed. After our meal the manager came over and asked how it was, and offered us a complimentary dessert when my mother informed him we were not happy which we declined as we were about to leave but it was a nice gesture, and said that that he'd have words with the wait staff. He also explained that a lot of people come here pre theatre so not a lot of people sit for a relaxed meal, which is understandable if that had been explained to us so we could have said we'd like a more relaxed time. From walk in to when we were given the bill it was about 45 mins. For something that was about $60 per person, we expected more.

First of all, the service was incredible. Katia was incredibly friendly and happily helped with everything and was very nice. I had the fish tacos, and they were good. Just if you're not good with spice, then they might not be for you. It was a very good atmosphere, however VERY loud. Probably will come back to Margaritaville (Boston) again.

While visiting Boston we went to eat at Margaritaville. The atmosphere is fun and eye catching. There is deor from floor to ceiling and plenty to look at and take in. It makes you feel like your on a beach even though you're not. The food was okay, standard American cuisine. The portions are huge and shareable. I suggest sharing food if you're on foot touring the town and don't want to waste food and cannot take it with you. The service was okay. When we visited it seemed short staffed as it took nearly 10 minutes for our server to get to us and take our order. Maybe it is better at other times but I don't have any other experiences to gage that info. Our server was nice, it was just slow and we were in there for about 90 minutes for 3 people to get food and eat.

Went in at around two waited at the door for more than 5 minutes without being greeted. Eventually we went to the bar and sat ourselves. We ordered drinks and the bar tender wasn't very talkative. Received our drinks the drinks were pretty good however we looked at the glasses and they were not clean we decided to cut out losses. I asked the bartender for the check and he put it in a glass which I hadn't seen and he tapped it on the table and this glass was disgusting.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the server named Sasha was nice, deserves a promotion and raise for knowing the costumers request and needs, thank you; my girlfriend, her dad and I. Have enjoyed it the meals are exquisite, Steve Weave loves his Chicken Tenders! “Chicken Tender, Number #1 Contender!”

Google
First of all I have to say that I would give the service 5 stars, Katia was amazingly attentive and very friendly. The food was good and deserves 4 stars. The atmosphere was OK, very loud music and even louder customers singing along to it. The biggest disappointment was the margaritas (ironic for a place called Margaritaville). The first ones that were delivered had no taste of alcohol at all. The second ones just didn't really taste great. It was a real shame after a long day looking forward to a nice drink and then never receiving one.

Yelp
I LOVE MARGARITAVILLE. Now, some people might consider it tacky but that's the point so just enjoy the ride. Their margs are STRONG. I loved the Mountain marg. I also got something with passionfruit idk it is very good. Volcano nachos are the move. They are massive. Come hungry. We also had a great server named Jamie. She's hilarious. You should ask for her. I love that we have a Margaritaville in Boston. It is right in Faneuil Hall and you can easily bar hop from there. It is the place to get your night started and tbh where your night might end if you're not careful.

Yelp
We rented one of the upstairs spaces for a post-marathon party - about 40 people. Space was nice, we had our own bar and 2 barkeeps. No fee to book. Minimum spend was $1,500 and all food and drinks ordered went towards that and we met that. Worked out really well - would do again if we need to get a big group together again.

Yelp
The service was great. I went with my family. It was a cold day in Boston today . The service was great . My mom is vegetarian and the server suggested a veggie linguini and it was delicious. All other food was good but my dad's Fish and chips are not edible at all . They were soggy and oil was dripping . It was very sad . He could not eat anything.
