A Car Crash Badly Damages 58-Year-Old Bob’s Big Boy Statue in Downey | Eater LA

"I learned from the Palm Springs Post that over the next few weeks the Margaritaville Hotel and Resort will return to its original name, Riviera Hotel; the 400-room Riviera opened in 1959 and was converted into a Margaritaville property in 2020." - Mona Holmes

I absolutely love staying here. I am a huge fan of a themed hotel in general, and a fan of the Florida keys. Anything Margaritaville is already a winner to me. The hotel itself is always clean. Rooms are modern and have both a fridge and microwave. Staff are friendly and helpful. The best part of this hotel for me is the complimentary breakfast. The food quality exceeds other hotel continental breakfasts. The location is great being right off of The Island, and not nearly as expensive as the main Margaritaville hotel. While still pricey compared to other accommodations in the area, I am willing to pay a little more for the guaranteed quality of rooms, fun atmosphere, location, and free breakfast.

Google
Hotel is very clean and staff very welcoming. Bathroom door is not a complete door. It is a sliding door between closet and bathroom. Shower was excellent with water pressure and hot water, along with bathroom amenities. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. The location is right on strip so very loud in evenings with cars and sirens. Great location in terms of proximity to everything.

The hotel and staff were amazing! Everything was clean, everyone was friendly, and amenities were great! Location was absolutely perfect. I will definitely stay here again. A special thanks to Christian for being so helpful during check in and with other needs. You were wonderful!

Google
We stay here every year for our girls getaway. We absolutely love it. The rooms, the location wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It is such a nice clean place. Our room is just right. The bed are comfortable and the shower is amazing. They have a pool and free breakfast but we didn’t use them.,The staff is amazing I know one lady is Bobbi and I’m afraid I didn’t catch the other name but thanks for being so helpful.

Google
Great hotel! Great price for the location as it is walking distance to the island. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were beautiful and EXTREMELY clean. Very modern, but yet homey and makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very cool to have a balcony with your room, I believe all rooms get a balcony. No matter where you are facing you have a nice view of either the mountains, parkway, or The Island. The free breakfast was delicious and a great bonus to the hotel to make it even better. The few staff we met were also very friendly and helpful. Not a single complaint about this place. Will definitely stay again.

Google
Finding the place is a little difficult because it is a different location than the Margaritaville Hotel. But once we got there, Christian took such good care of us and made us feel glad to be there. The rooms are spacious, the place is bright and cheerful and clean. Parking was plentiful and just across the road. The location is great if you want to spend some time at the Island. The Island was quite a pleasant surprise for us.

Google
Thought we would try this one since so close to the Island. Rooms were clean, roomy and beds comfy. Breakfast was really good. If you are a light sleeper, would recommend getting room facing the Isalnd and not the parkway. Love this hotel brand.

Google
Loved the location- walkable to the island. Great parking! Wheelchair friendly and family friendly. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite as a family of 5 and had plenty of room! Would highly recommend. Friendly staff!

Yelp
Ok this is going to be a long one! What I loved about this Margaritaville is location! Decent breakfast with lots of variety of options scrambled eggs everyday also was the best hotel scrambled eggs I have ever had, bacon and sausage switched, breakfast potatoes everyday was good, waffles everyday, fruit, yogurt and apple, cranberry, orange juices and milk, assortment of breads and bagels. I loved the room layout. The bed & pillows were comfortable! Things I didn't love Indoor pool was cold! I was told it was heated. Yes even in July I expected it to be warm at least! Outdoor pool was warmer!!! It's between 2 busy roads so it's a little loud! We were on the second floor so I felt like if we were higher up, it wouldn't have been a problem. Speaking of the second floor the balcony was enclosed with wood which made it so hot! The other balconies had railings and was open!!! But we did enjoy an early evening dinner out there but had to turn our AC off. Again I feel like if we had a higher floor it wouldn't have been a problem. When we got to the room we were out of the hand wash and moisturizer also it's just a shower.... For the experience it seems like it should have been the rain shower like The Island Hotel! Overall we would consider staying here again!

Yelp
This is a better than average property. Very clean and very decent breakfast. Parking lot is located across the street and is easy to get to off the parkway and included in the room rate. Full hot breakfast is included and is above average for a hotel breakfast. While the team members at the front desk were cordial and professional, one of the ladies in the breakfast area stood out as a great ambassador for the property. She was outgoing, friendly, warm and genuinely worked to take care of all the guests. A young child who was not bro by supervised properly burned his hand on one of the waffle makers. She immediately went to him to check. She got some Aloe Vera for his finger and gave it to his parent/guardian. Always great to meet up with people like her.

Yelp
Personally I have had the worst service at this place. I have stated at others that's wonderful. But this one is the pits!!! Mean to senior people, the staff is a joke. I personally have tried twice and both times it's be awful! I heard other people tell me how bad it was . please stay away unless you want to pay for something you are not going to get and be treated like crap! Just go somewhere else.

Yelp
What a cute and cozy spot! The Margaritaville Island Inn feels so homey and welcoming. The breakfast here is fantastic - they're constantly refilling the fresh food, so you never have to worry about anything running out. The service was amazing; everyone was friendly and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the gym and the indoor/outdoor pool - great for relaxing after a long day. My only small complaint is the internet, which was a bit slow and hard to connect to, but honestly, everything else more than made up for it. Plus, they offer a daily newspaper, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Yelp
This is a really nice location and the rooms are cozy. I will say the only downside is that they definitely oversold the "island balcony view". All you can see is the back of Paula Deen's restaurant and the resort's pool. But great spot!!

Yelp
We've stayed at the island hotel many times. Decided to try the margaritiville island inn this time. Big mistake. No early check in. No problem had a child in car throwing up and nowhere to go but not their problem. Get back ready to get him inside and settled after check in and front desk was completely clueless. Charging for the $90 add on package and the incidentals charges. I asked her how much the total was for the package as my friend and I are splitting it. Just wanted to know she kept saying $120...I asked because I was trying to figure out if the $90 included tax or not. She said its $120 I said no how much is thr package total she said its $120 and then $20 a night for incendentals okay that would be $180 then not thr $150 shed charging me so obviously she cant do math but ok. Then has me put my card in and tells me it declined twice and LOUDLY at that and very condescending. Big line of people and shes loudly and fake nice saying my cards declined even though I said no im not getting any fraid alerts the card is unlocked and I have plenty of money. Then she takes next guests while im on phone with bank. And then my friend says i need to park becasue she and kids have unpacked car and all these people are waiting to unload. So, I go to pakr and theres nowhere to park. Im disabled and uave disability parking pass and theres no where to park and hardly anywhere to even turn around. So. Finally get myself back inside wait in line again..and explain my bank says theres noy even an attempted charge it has to be their system. Tries again same thing then finally asks for help from someone else and wouldnt you know to do a hold you have to put it in as credit and she was havaing me put it in as devit then acting like I was broke in front of huge lines of people. Then I ask about the margaritiville perks I signed up for ..a free hat and candle she knows notjing about that. Thej had to ask where to park...all the way across the street. Thankfully I have the ability to walk that today but if you dont pleade be forewarned. Elevator smells like sewer. I tend to give everyone grace but this place is completely clueless and rude. Do not stay here.

Yelp
Oh my, so loud, We were in Pigeon Forge a few months ago and it was amazing so we thought we would come back for a couple more nights. But no!!! Apparently we booked NASCAR wanna be weekend! LOUD!!! Every car is souped up and its like NASCAR. We can't even hear tv for street noise. We won't be back! Boo! This sucked! Get some noise ordinances in place or lose great tourist money!
google avatar

Yelp
The location was nice. Breakfast was served daily. The staff was friendly. The mattresses in our room were VERY, VERY uncomfortable. My family of four slept terribly during our three-night stay. In fact, we woke up each morning sore. Also, it was interesting hearing random people in the elevator complain about the mattresses, room HVAC temperatures, and noise from nearby traffic. While we liked the atmosphere, we will never stay here again due to the terrible mattresses.
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
Very nice and inviting decor. The 2 bedroom 2 bath suite worked perfectly for us. Location was good and within walking distance to a variety of things to do. The one recommendation I have is not to stay on the parkway side of the inn. The road noise is a bit loud especially when trying to sleep.

Yelp
Our stay at this place was very nice. The room was beautiful, facing the river. The Kuerig coffee maker in the room was an added bonus. We sat on the balcony and had our coffee every morning. The pool is beautiful and the bar by the pool is nice. The people that worked there were very friendly and hospitable. We valeted our vehicle and they always had the vehicle to us very quickly. The only reason I didn't leave a 5 star review is because of the bar/restaurant. Service was slow and one time we didn't even get waited on and we left. We had room service one day and it was sub par. They left dirty coffee cups in the room and the beds were just thrown together. All in all it was a great stay and we definitely would stay again, thanks for the southern hospitality!!

Yelp
I booked through hotels.com and put in a special request of a sexy picture of Channing Tatum on the nightstand. I just gotta say that Margaritaville went above and beyond. Not only did they provide excellent service, a super clean room, and excellent facilities, they went above and beyond on my ridiculous fun request. They totally made my stay by hanging several pics of Channing Tatum around the room. I literally laughed for like an hour. After speaking with the front desk, I just got to give a big thank you to Ryan for making this girls stay a little more special!

Joe L.

Yelp
Pro: Excellent location...right next to the Island. Reasonable value for location. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast is free. Everything seemed clean. Con: Beds are not comfortable Air conditioner is either too cold or too stuffy Breakfast, while sufficient, lacks variety from day to day A decent hotel in a great location. Depending on what you are looking for, this could work for you. The beds are the only serious issue that stood out.

Yelp
A solid 4-of-5 star experience. We didn't go to Pigeon Forge to spend a lot of time at the hotel, so for us a lot of the amenities didn't matter. Bed - Average Shower - Average Bathroom - Small Pool - Small, but there is one Balcony - Small, but there is one Housekeeping - Minimal, soap/shampoo not replaced Free Breakfast - Uninspired (terrible eggs) Margaritaville Vibe - Not observed, other than 2 chairs and a paint job The best part is the location, which is about a 2-minute walk from the Island's activities. We also walked to the Pink Jeep tour, and even walked to Publix for supplies. The room ha a mini-fridge, a microwave and a Keurig - nice touch. The parking situation is not bad, as they have a free gated lot right behind the hotel. In terms of the noise, you can reserve a room on either the "Parkway" side or the "Island" side - I'd highly recommend the Island side. I was annoyed that the hotel sent me a $10 "Promotional Merchandise Credit" for posting my stay online, but when I tried to have it applied, the front desk staff told be to just "hold on to it." I'm not sure why they don't honor their own promotions, but if they need the $10...whatever. Overall, I'd likely try another place next time, but if proximity to the island matters and you expect no amenities this is a great place.

Yelp
Bed, great, loud. 14 parking spaces. No housekeeping, had to beg for towels and coffee. In 3 days we drank 4 cups..... you don't get more! It smells good, but it's an old hotel, that's been renovated and don't be fooled into thinking it's MARGARITA VILLE HOTEL. It's a regular old place painted in pretty colors. And that sales pitch for the CONDO, they get an attitude when you decline their 76,000 dollar vacation payment plan. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. I don't even have really one nice thing to say.... But I don't recommend it. Overpriced. I will NEVER stay at this place, which is a true pity because we were going to buy a vacation package, but we were so turned off by the rude salesperson, NO. I'm probably never going to another Margaritaville. Left a TERRIBLE IMPRESSION.

Yelp
We had an amazing stay at the Margaritaville Inn! The location was perfect to be in the middle of all activities. The hotel had some amazing aspects: *Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful * Our room was clean! Smelled great and was very well lit! * The indoor pool and hot tub were warm and very clean! Loved the fluffy towels provided by the pool! * The breakfast was wonderful, hot and delicious! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Clean! Great location with easy walk to the Island. Big continental breakfast with lots of options-all which are good. We've stayed at a lot of places and this was our best experience. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to know what back pain is? Every wonder what is would be like to camp out on the yellow median on a highway. Finish up the experience by taking a bath in a sink?. Well.....you're in luck. Margaritaville Island Inn has you covered. Noisy as crap. Yes it's on the road, but no thought of sound reduction in design. Bed is very bad, at best. Ours had some bonus hair under the cover, yeah! Then the shower. Every morning we were here it literally drooled. The sink worked so the wife got to fill buckets of hot water into the tub for a shallow bath. Great times.!!!!!!!

Yelp
The bed was very uncomfortable, the pillow were so super thin you had to use 2 to even get comfortable. there free breakfast was served to you by servers behind a plexiglass and you couldn't see what you were getting. room service for cleaning daily was terrible. All they did in making the bed was pull the bedspread up and didn't even pull up snd straighten the flat sheet. They also did not clean up coffee pot area. When you pay that much for a stay at a hotel, they should do better than that. The dolly's you use to carry your luggage only would hold like 2 pieces of luggage, smallest ones I have ever seen. I would not recommend this place unless you just couldn't find another place to stay.

Maddie D.

Yelp
VERY disappointed. Staff is friendly and nice, downstairs lobby is nice and they have a nice selection of things to buy but let me tell you, upstairs is very dark and gloomy in the halls, and our first room we got, 11:00 pm we had to switch because such a strong smell of marijuana came into our room. So annoying. We had to call the front desk and make a last minute LATE switch to a room all the way at the end of the hallway. Also it is pretty noisy in the rooms, since the island is right by the hotel and there is a busy road there too. Staff was accommodating to switch us to another room, but unacceptable by how that happened. It shouldn't even be allowed there. Very unsatisfied with this place.

Yelp
We had an excellent time when we stayed at Margaritaville Island Inn Pigeon Forge in October 2020. For more details on our experiences, check our video review: Margaritaville Island Inn Pigeon Forge // Hotel Review (2020) https://youtu.be/mjInn62jNCk Cheers!

Yelp
This is basically the red headed step brother of the Margaritaville Island Hotel. I've stayed at both locations and this location is far less than what you'd expect with a Margaritaville Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful but the setting, layout of the rooms and amenities were lacking from the Hotel version. This location is more of a family version. There are 2 pools. One inside and one outside. They both were open even in late September. Not too many people were taking advantage of them. Breakfast was free but was kinda like school were the lunch lady handed you the food you wanted. The amenities that were supposed to be perks of staying here (free bikes, balcony facing the island) were also lacking. The bikes were not allowed to be given out due to COVID? Not sure how using a bike is any different than going to a store and using a cart someone else used as long as it was cleaned when the person was finished using it? The balcony on the 2nd floor is more of a box rather than a open slat rail that the upper levels had. (see pic) It was cramped and leaked from the balcony above. So half of the balcony couldn't be used in the morning time since it was covered in water and would splash on to the table. The room was clean but the shower and bathroom had plenty of hair all over the floor and walls. The location is nice as it's right across from the island. A 5 min walk and you're there. Parking is across the street and there are about 10 spaces on site and fill up pretty quickly so good luck finding an open spot. Long story short..pay the extra money and get the more sophisticated location (Margaritaville Island Hotel) if you're trying to stay at the island. We will not be staying at this location again.

Yelp
Great staff, nice rooms, and there is also two options of indoor pool and outdoor pool. I would suggest switching the indoor pool restrooms to all gender instead of single gender rooms. (I know the restrooms at lobby are all gender.) Overall, I like it here!

Amy P.

Yelp
We ABSOLUTELY had a five star visit!! This hotel was not only clean, fun and festive with good-vibe music playing--the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Chloe and Carla at the front desk greeted us as if we were celebrities when checking in. I actually got teary-eyed by Chloe's kindness. It's unlike any customer service we are used to. She checked to see if a balcony room was available and made a simple room change for our one-night stay that made it even more special. We celebrated our anniversary by walking the short distance to the recommended restaurant on the island. Very convenient and a great location for live music and shopping, just steps away. Upon our departure Chloe handed us a gift bag full of Margaritaville merch as an anniversary gift. WOW! I'm not kidding when I say our stay began and ended with the staff making us feel extraordinary. It's unfortunate that in this day and age, customer service is a lost art...but, if ever we are anywhere near a Margaritaville establishment we will spend our money there! These folks sealed the deal. Heck, I'd send Jimmy Buffet a check directly for hiring such amazing staff. Even the cleaning lady was so 'Mary Poppins' about greeting us coming and going. It's a very special place to be certain!

Yelp
This is our first stay at a Margaritaville property. We'd loved to stay at the hotel but it was booked. The Inn itself seems very cozy. There's a fireplace (simulated) and couch area which was very relaxing. The indoor pool looked clean but was on the small side. The pool area is large, just the pool is small. The breakfast area and selection is very nice. Our room was clean and attractive. There are some nice amenities; large wall tv, fridge, Keurig coffee maker w/Donut shop coffee, etc. the reading lights above each bed was a hit. The shower (pressure) was awesome! Overall, the room was clean and nice. There were a few items that lacked. Most are small and not deal breakers. The bathroom door is at the top of the list. The door is a trendy sliding barn door. It looks great! Unfortunately it's very heavy, hangs on the track, and leaves gaps. It's just my wife and children so we are ok. If we had a guest staying with us, the gap might be large enough to make them uncomfortable. The door also closes past the handle. If you hold on, your fingers will be pinched. A little adjustment could fix this issue. The other items are small and just pet peeves... the faucet on the sink is very close to the edge which causes water to get on the counter every time you wash your hands. The view from our balcony includes a power cable. The shampoo has no foaming properties. Overall, nice place. We'd stay here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointing. First trip to PF/Gatlinburg, came for the weekend. Website is kinda misleading. You think everything is in one place - not scattered over the Island. The Inn is right on the main highway and NOISY. No vent in the bathroom. Pool is small. Breakfast was "meh". And the place looked to be lacking some basic up-keep (chipped paint, etc) and our sink was clogged. Not work over $700 for a weekend - take your money elsewhere.
google avatar

Ned D.

Yelp
This place is GREAT....1st trip to this hotel, and it's well worth the money. From the time you pull up, you are treated with Royalty. The staff is awesome, no sad faces, only smiles and greetings. It's right on the island, and really no need to leave the island. There is plenty things for the kids, and much more within walking distance. Never thought I would enjoy a non beach vacation, but this was a great place to stay, and gives off the tropical feel. Thanks Margaritaville for a wonderful stay. Wrong hotel...sorry this was meant for the Margaritaville on the island

Erica K.

Yelp
We're able to get a last minute reservation for 12/30-1/1. Front desk staff was super nice and was able to get a hometown hero discount. Lobby was nicely decorated and clean. Hotel is huge! Everything was clean and well lit with tons of lighting. Room exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and balcony and fireplace were very nice. Room was large and beds were comfortable. Location is great, able to enjoy the island without having to worry about parking. Definitely recommend this property.

Yelp
We're staying overnight,2 days after Christmas,so it's a little crowded, but isn't everywhere? This is a really nice place to stay. Our room has 2 queen beds and a balcony view of Paula Deen's restaurant and Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Adventure. This hotel and room remind me of Key West. There's free Wi-Fi and free breakfast from 6am-10:00 am. There's also a hot tub and pool.
google avatar

Jeanne G.

Yelp
We stayed 3 nights and this hotel. Very clean and excellent service. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were just perfect. Great location and top notch pandemic precautions. Will be back.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Our family spent a long weekend here and really enjoyed it. From check-in to check-out it was a very relaxing experience. The staff was great. There were 4 of us, when we got in the room , it was very clean, smelled wonderful and the colors just made you feel relaxed. The only problem was there were only 3 towels in the bathroom for 4 of us, but the staff had it taken care of right away. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the location was great. Our room faced the parkway and the balcony was nice. We will definitely stay again.
google avatar

Kerry T.

Yelp
Our stay here was a nightmare! The only positives were parking and location. Plus one staff member was extremely nice. The others, including sone management, need training in customer service. First of all, the bathroom does not have a door that closes or a working vent. Secondly, the walls are paper thin and people getting ice woke us up at 4:30 am both mornings. I heard every conversation going on next door. The road noise is extremely loud as well. The beds were comfortable but we did not relax much at all. Third, I went to get some coffee in the lobby next to the free breakfast area and a ROACH was crawling on the coffee machine. We were not satisfied with our stay and the staff management did not seem to care whatsoever. I was in tears as we left after being treated like garbage.
google avatar

Shayla M.

Yelp
Room was clean and loved the eccentric decor. Beds were comfy. Location was unexpectedly next to everything (we've never been to Tennessee before this trip). There was a lot to do. We were within walking distance to a very popular area The Island (takes less than two minutes to walk to it). It's by everything! There's an arcade, places to eat, and shop. It's also right next to the crime museum, although we didn't go to it - it was cool to see on the outside. Easy parking as well. There is parking around the building but they also own a lot in the back that is gated so you get a code and get a nice parking spot. There is an inside pool and hot tub. And then the breakfast was really really good. They had so many options, I had scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, and waffles (although they had a lot more available). But everything I ate was very good, just like a breakfast restaurant taste like. Everyone that worked there was super friendly to us which is a major plus. We really want to come back and stay again!

Tammie S.

Yelp
The sheets clearly weren't changed in between us and the previous guest, which is absolutely disgusting. There were crumbs and stains on them. There were extra sheets in the closet so we put them on ourselves since it was already late and we were exhausted from driving all day. The hotel is very obviously an older hotel that was converted to margaritaville. They put a fresh coat of paint over older walls. It was pretty run down for a margaritaville brand hotel. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and had stains that appeared to be bed bugs droppings, but I wasn't able to confirm that. I gave it 3 stars because of the perfect location. Otherwise I would not stay here again.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
Stayed here two days the weekend before Christmas. Everything was clean and I absolutely loved the smell when you walked in. Staff was SUPER nice and friendly. Checking in and out was quick and everyone working the front desk was always nice and helpful. This is a short walk to everything at the island. Just wish it was a little cheaper but we did stay on a weekend and near Christmas so that's expected. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast spread I've had. Everything was really good and they made sure everyone had enough with nothing running low. Just had a hard time finding a seat the time we went down. No complaints and will stay here again.
google avatar

Philip H.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this hotel, but it was our first time at a Margaritaville hotel. This hotel is the cheaper of the two at the Island and has different features than the other (has indoor pool and free breakfast, but no bar), so I guess it just depends what you're looking for in a hotel. Next time we'll stay at the other one to avoid the highway noise.
google avatar

Crystal M.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay here. As soon as you step inside it feels like you are transformed to an island get away. It even smells tropical. Check in was a breeze. Front desk clerks were helpful & friendly. Anytime I passed an employee, I was greeted with a smile & a hello, how are you. Can't say enough good things about all of the employees. The indoor pool was small but heated and clean. The hot tub was amazing. They do provide plenty of big fluffy towels at the pool. There are only two elevators but we never had to wait. They do encourage one family at a time due to Covid. Our room was clean and very well stocked with towels, toiletries, & coffee pods. The beds are a little firm, but comfortable. The breakfast was good. They had a good variety to choose from. You would tell them what you wanted to eat and they served you. And they were quick! Lots of seating for breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was the parking. There was basically only handicap parking on the lot, the over flow parking is outback in a separate lot . You need a code to park as it is gated, however it is easily accessible to the public and I worried about theft. I just didn't like that. But other than that, I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking, it really was a 5 star stay for us. We will definitely be back.

Sean G.

Yelp
Excellent all-rounder from staff to location and rooms. Lots of dining nearby or get the trolley for .50cents. parking around front of hotel or in private gated lot at back. Decent breakfast also served by duper friendly staff. Spent 2 nights but sad we hadn't longer

Yelp
This is usually where we stay when we come to pigeon forge but I'm sure this will be our last stay here. When we made our reservations we called ahead to make sure we got the 7th floor. We were told it would be no problem at all and our room would be ready. We arrived and the guy at the desk had no clue of us being on a certain floor but I'm not sure he had a clue of to much to being with the more he spoke. We finally got our room and thought that was the end of any issues...wrong! After getting to our room, my son needed to relive himself. He emerged from the bathroom and I noticed his feet when he jumped on the bed. The bottoms of his feet were filthy! I chalked it up to my son walking around at some point without his flip flops. I decided to take a shower later. I notice as I enter the shower when my foot hits the water droplets there is black being left behind. I wet a washcloth and swipe the floor. It was black! I call downstairs to the desk and ask could housekeeping please come clean the floor. I am then told that it would be taken care of after our checkout today. Today?!?! I reply. I explain that has to be a mistake my husband is an hour away in class for work in Knoxville. I have to call him and pull him out of a class for work to fix this issue. Two ladies come to clean the bathroom floor who were wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. She 1st tries to spray the remainder of a cleaning bottle all over the floor. The cloth is black after she goes over the floor. She empties a different bottle and adds cups of water cleaning with another cloth, it turns just as black. After two more attempts the grim and filth is removed. After going through all this, the manager in charge offers us a goody bag of snacks as a way to make up for any inconveniences we had....lol. We will never be back. For the price I think a clean floor should be expected at the least.

Yelp
Staff were very friendly . The place smelled so clean all the time and the breakfast was delish!! Our room faced the strip which was very noisy. Rooms were roomy and comfortable.

Yelp
My family and I got two adjoining rooms at the Inn facing the Parkway. It turned out to be a smart move. The Margaritaville Island Hotel is a good bit more money and so is a room at the Inn facing the Island. There was very little street noise and the walk over to the Island was a breeze. The included breakfast was more substantial than say a Hampton Inn breakfast. Along with the usual fare, the French toast sticks, boiled eggs, sliced plump sausages along with four different juices were something I've never encountered in other hotel breakfasts. The very agreeable and helpful staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy the tourists! There's an indoor and outdoor pool, both heated. You can't help but notice the "islandy" tropical mood in this place! I'll definitely be back. Tip: Eat at least one meal at Paula Deen's Restaurant! You won't regret it!

Yelp
The hotel from website and the outside appears new, however, upon entering our room (a king deluxe), the room smelled like musk, blood stains on the bed and stains also on the floor and chairs. Notified the front desk and voiced concerns and was just told the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done other than just leaving with a refund or changing the bed. They basically just seemed like they didn't care if we stayed or not. It was late in the afternoon and on a Friday night (all other similar hotels in area already booked) so we had to just endure it. The staff were rude and never gave an apology for the filthy conditions. At over $400 per night, I expected a clean room and better customer service. Would not stay here again.

Yelp
So me and my family stayed here for a sort of graduation gift for my cousin and sister and first off, the staff is EXCELLENT. They were always friendly and always had a smile when we would walk by and the lobby always smelled good, as if they were burning candles in there. The rooms are very nice and the balcony we had had a good view of the Island. I can't speak for the pool/hot tub area as I got a tattoo during my stay and was not able to swim but my family seemed to enjoy it. Now moving on to the breakfast-if you're in a pinch it'll do fine. Make sure you have salt and pepper because the eggs are bland, the bacon is bacon like you put in the microwave and the potatoes left a lot to be desired. But it is a free breakfast so again it'll do in a pinch-however if you want something even better I do recommend Reagan's House of Pancakes, which is buffet style and they are amazing! For dinner I definitely recommend taking a short stroll to the Island and going to Paula Deens because it is amazing!! Especially if you have booked a family trip because Paulas is family style and you get a choice to have either 2 meats and sides or three meats and sides, depending on the size of your party I suppose. But overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel! Thanks to the staff for the amazing hospitality!

Yelp
Stayed here with my family for 2 days. This hotel totally disappointed me. It was way past 4 o'clock until we could even check in to the room, the pool was green with chunks of food in it, the hot tub wasn't very hot at all, we were missing some pillows, the balcony had burns on it from past smokers, and one of the elevators were hot and nasty, I could go on and on. Overall this hotel did not amaze me and I will definitely not stay here again. :(

Yelp
We had a lovely stay! We came to Pigeon Forge for a quick getaway and to shop for the upcoming school year. The kids really enjoyed the two pools! And the hot tub! They also enjoyed that we were able to walk to The Island without having to get in the car and park a long ways away. This is definitely close to a lot of attractions and isn't too far away from Gatlinburg or the Smokey Mountains. During our stay, all personnel seemed to be busy mopping or cleaning something (which is probably why it always smelled so nice)!! We would recommend this place to others and will probably try to stay again in the near future.

Yelp
We spent the weekend before schools starts playing and shopping in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We thought we would try the new Margaritaville Inn based on the new factor and the limited reviews that were posted already. The staff was everywhere and they were very friendly and helpful. There was a cool old woodie station wagon out front which really got us off on the right foot. The lobby and common areas were beautifully decorated in fun beach and Jimmy Buffett themed pictures and murals. They had little woodie signs for our rooms and throughout the property. The kids thought that was cool. It's funny how the small things can affect your impressions. We were hot and tired on Saturday and we cut it short to get back to the hotel to try out the pools and the hot tub. They were small but nice enough with fun colors and decorations. The pool towels in the chairs were a nice touch. The rooms were colorful, tastefully decorated and the mattresses were comfortable. TV's were new and nice but we really didn't watch them. We had really nice glass doors in our shower and it really improved the feel of the bathroom. I will return again next year if the family desires to return here. The proximity to The Ferris wheel and the Crime Museum were also added conveniences. We didn't ride the trolley but it is apparently stopping at or near the hotel.

Yelp
Great hotel! The breakfast is pretty standard but service is wonderful! I would like to see fruit flavored water to add to the tropical theme! The hotel is clean and smells amazing! The beds are not amazing but it's nice! If you are staying the weekends be prepared for road noise. Not that I was upset because I figured it would be that way.

Yelp
This hotel is still pretty new and has been kept clean. There are tons of snacks at the front desk including cinnabon rolls and a soda machine and ice machine on each level. You can look at the photos and see there are 2 pools, a hot tub/jacuzzi with the indoor pool and a small fitness facility. The vibe is relaxed and the staff is friendly, even the kind kitchen gentlemen that recognized me from our last stay. What is not online; the street noise from the side in the main drag (even numbered rooms), and the loud music on the island side(odd numbered rooms). Funny enough the hotel does not control the volume on the exterior of the building, yes I've asked. He did apologize, and stated the music goes off, or is at least lowered at 10pm. No napping unless you bring a tornado fan or some earplugs. SO CORPORATE, COULD YOU LOWER THE MUSIC ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE INN PLEASE? Husband and I come for the convenience of the island.

Yelp
This is NOT your typical Margaritaville resort. And be careful when you book on Margaritaville Island Resort. There are two properties. The HOTEL is ok. The INN is awful. Our room was right on the parkway and we got to hear road racing all night long! No sleep!!! There is NO BAR!!!! Seriously? Isn't that a mandatory at a Margaritaville? And they did not even sell beer in the lobby canteen. If you are here for the Margaritaville and Buffett experience, this is NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!!

Yelp
We stayed here for our anniversary this past week. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Kay and Tiffany made it so we wanted to stay in for the breakfast. Everything was fresh, stocked, and clean. They made sure my husband and I got breakfast before our 9 hour trip home. I would stay there again. The room was great and always cleaned and stocked for us. They put extra makeup removers in my room and facial soap. Thank you so much to the staff.!
