Margaritaville Resort Casino

This was my first experience at the casino. The casino was beautiful and lots of fun. I want to praise Jonathan Hutson, he was amazing and helped with everything. He is definitely a plus to the casino. Very nice, helpful and fun. I was also assigned a host Tassie Taylor who was very helpful during my stay. The only negative thing I would have to say about the hotel was there was no ice machine on floor 5. Thank y’all and I will be back. Donna white.

My husband and I made semi annual trips to Bossier since 2020, but hadn’t been back since Covid and the expansion of Choctaw in Durant Oklahoma. We decided to go back on October 21, 2025. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. Unlike Choctaw, Margaritaville does not provide food comps. They also wanted to charge for a lanyard for the players card, which is absurd! The room was good, but the body wash in the shower was empty upon arrival, the pillows were very uncomfortable, and there was a brown footprint stain on the sheets. I expected more for a $200 a night room. The food choices were fair. I would NOT recommend the dinner flight at Jimmy’s. The atmosphere was great at Jimmy’s and service was good, but the food was not what you would expect for an ala carte restaurant. The casino is spacious and well lit. It would be nice if they offered a nonsmoking area bc it was a bit smoky. Drink service is good. Would I return? Most likely not because we get free rooms and free food at Choctaw…and free lanyards 😉

Our room was very clean and spacious. The casino was terrific and we had a lot of fun. We ate at the Riverview and also at the snack bar, both had delicious food! I will definitely be recommending these accommodations to friends and family!

My third stay at Margaritaville, but will likely be the last. Rooms are great. Food options are just OK during the week, but no big deal. Drink service is always spotty here, but this trip it was actually good (it was my birthday, so thank God). However, they allow their slot machines to get full and (I didn't previously know this) that prevents the machine from accepting money. It was a Tuesday night, so there was hardly anyone there. At one point, we picked out machines to play next to each other and FOUR consecutive times we couldn't because at least one of the machines wouldn't take our money. We spoke to staff, who explained the situation to us but there was nothing they could do. We even had issues with the machines accepting our players club cards on 2-3 occasions. We got very frustrated, we wanted to go to one of the others but we were already staying the night here and were drinking. Just no attention to detail at this place. I've never had anything remotely like this happen at Horseshoe or Ballys, so I'm just going to stick to those two.

I would give the property itself 3 stars, but the VIP service was absolutely terrible. As a player who likes to bet big, this was one of the worst host experiences I’ve had. If you’re a high-limit player looking for a place that values VIP guests, take your money somewhere else and actually enjoy your time. The casino hosts were the biggest disappointment. For a VIP program, the level of service was shockingly poor. The hosts were unfriendly, unhelpful, and made me feel like a third-class guest rather than someone who brings serious play to the property. There was no appreciation, no effort to assist, and no sense that VIP players matter. A VIP program should make players feel valued. Instead, the hosts here made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. Until the host service improves, I would strongly recommend serious players look elsewhere.

The place is nice and rooms are clean and the casino is just steps away. They have tons of slot machines and table open all night long. I even got a couple of nice wins. I ate at Jimmy's Steakhouse and it was the best steak and whipped potatoes I have ever had. I asked for a wake up call this morning for my flight and did not receive it but thankfully my phone alarm went off. My only disappointment was for room service. I like room service breakfast when on vacation. You have to scan a QR code to order and I could never get it to work & asked for a menu at the front desk and they said you can only get menu from QR code in your room. All in all a nice hotel and casino.

I did reservation on the phone as I wanted to take advantage of the 2 free nights I had. Lady that helped was nice and said some charges were going to show but at check-in they were going to honor the offer. I asked for a room with view to the river. I got to the hotel and the lady at the counter was not friendly at all and kinda rude. I got charged and a room with view to the city. When I told her what I requested and that I shouldn't be charged, she just dismissed it like she didn't care and had no desire to rectify the situation. This is the second year we come to this hotel. Last year we had a great experience and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This time, staff honestly looked like they didn't want to be there at all. Even the guy at check-out didn't even say good morning or anything and just was ready to be done with us. I'm definitely going to think again if I want to come back or not as I would expect better customer service and to honor the offers they promote.

Hotel rooms are amazing and SUPER clean, assortment of food is incredible ranging from seafood specialty, to authentic Asian cuisine, and comfort food all available at almost anytime. Casino offers a great selection of slots, both for the average player and the high limit players. Complimentary drinks while gambling makes everything better. Service was quick and attentive with only a couple minor hiccups that could've simply been an accident. Overall as a person that traveled a significant distance for this location, I can say I will definitely come back again
