How America’s Test Kitchen Star, Food Stylist Elle Simone Scott, Got Her Job | Eater

"A multi-platform food media studio where one can work across books, magazines, social media and television; the role there includes being one of two resident food stylists, styling content for all outlets, serving as a test cook on the flagship show, and providing the opening voice for a companion program that airs on PBS and Create TV. The environment is collaborative and career-elevating — it served as an organic on-camera turning point that significantly increased visibility — and offers varied, creative work (recently including styling nearly an entire cocktail book and pioneering beverage styling). The food here is great! The pizza is cooked in a brick oven which always comes out crispy and perfectly done. The burgers are great and some of my favorites are the breakfast burger and the apple bacon jam burger. A great shareable option is to get an order of wings and select a flight of sauces. Some of my favorites are the Chimichurri Aioli, Sweet Thai Chili, and the Hot Honney Mustard. This has been a great place to connect with friends and family and I will be returning soon.

First, our waitress was absolutely lovely. The best I have ever had at any establishment. Ever. Second every other team member we interacted with was also wonderful! The bussers, hostesses, bar tenders, and other waiting staff were all phenomenal. The food was all delicious. Our favorite was the Birria Taco sharable! A little bit of spice and very savory. And my favorite drinks were the Espresso martini and the Fiesta. The atmosphere was very cozy with nice lighting and all of the booths being tall to keep to yourselves during dinner. Overall a great experience, will definitely be recommending to others!!!

Stopped there for drinks and dinner with wife and daughter. Staff is friend, service was good. Their coctails are always on point. The burger meat was right, not too dry and not too undercooked. The pasta is great. Tuna tartar for apps was good. Pizza was ok. The tally for one appetizer, three cocktails, three entrees was 150 with tip. It's kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Came in with my wife for date night and sat at the bar. We had our name in for a table, but then Ashley started talking to us and we decided to stay and have dinner and drinks at the bar top. With so many great choices for drinks, Ashley made great recommendations for both of us after her asking questions about what we like in terms of flavor and drink styles. Every drink she recommended and made us was spot on and perfect! Then for dinner, she also steered us in the right direction. We got the Steak & Spicy noodles and the Red snapper. They did not disappoint! Our experience was top notch, and we will definitely be back! Telling all of our local friends about this gem of a restaurant.

Google
The Birria pizza was amazing, seriously I would come back for that. My burger was not my typical first choice in burgers but juicy nontheless. Only thing that really threw me off was the bloody Mary’s. Not my first round pick for bloodys. They put micro greens in them and not very flavorful, but the Birria pizza made up for that 🤗

4.6 review by google isn't enough. This place is phenomenal. The food is fresh and fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is helpful and I formative. Scratch cooking that is off the charts. Highly recommend.

I drove from River Falls, WI to have dinner at Margie's with a friend, and it was well worth the trip. I'm not sure whether to heap more praise on the staff or the food because both were equally amazing. I had the fig glazed salmon and my friend had the cap steak. Both were cooked to perfect temperature and were accompanied by perfectly crisp asparagus. I could go on forever about the food but the staff also deserve some attention. From the kitchen to the dining room, all the staff were working their butts off while still being very friendly and attentive. Meanwhile the manager was continually roaming the floor checking on customers and keeping the whole place running smoothly. I was greatly impressed with Margie's and will make this trip again for sure.

Google
Tried this afternoon. Food and cocktails were fantastic. Breakfast old fashioned was heavenly, especially with the little candied bacon in it. Bartender and staff were all friendly and attentive. Only critique, your hostess was on her cellphone when we arrived and when we left, never looked up to greet anyone or thank anyone for stopping in. A stark contrast to everyone else working there.

Yelp
Margie's was so perfect for our girls' brunch today. The Bloody Mary was more than delicious, and the group ordered a variety of food that all was more than impressively yummy! Avocado toast, French toast, burger, margarita pizza and the mimosa flight! Service staff was so friendly and very quick. We will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while and finally got the opportunity tonight. Even though we did not have reservations, we were seated right away. I ordered the salmon with a fig glaze. My friend got a salad. I took a bite of my salmon and immediately realized there was something very, very spicy on top of the salmon which was not advertised! Granted, I am Norwegian. In my world, ketchup is a spice! I wish I had known the salmon would have spicy items on it, as would have requested they be on the side. After I stopped breathing fire, I was able to taste the salmon and it was good. We also got dessert of the cookie sundae. It was also very good. However, I saw other people getting cookies at their tables, but we did not? Are the cookies only for people who don't get dessert? I would return to Margie's but will make sure to ask if it is served with anything spicy next time!

Yelp
Visited MKC on a Sunday night, sat at the bar, no bartender, we waited several minutes before a woman waiting on booths in the bar area, finally took our drink order. Food was good, HH prices good, but the bartender was too busy waiting tables to be attentive at the bar, which wasn't that busy (though she tried to do her best). Since this was our first visit, I wonder if this is normal or they were simply shorthanded? We may be back to try the pizza or burgers sometime; but will think twice about sitting at the bar.

Yelp
I just heard about this place and it is sooo good!! 10/10 recommend for someone who is craving a nice burger or pasta. I've gone here during the happy hour (which is a great deal $9 for hh) and once during dinner. All the workers are very fast and attentive. I love that everything is made from scratch kitchen and they also gave a cookie at the end. My favorite from the menu would have to be the smash burger- upgrade to sweet potato fries and margie's exceptionale pizza. I also got a $7 cocktail. There is so much more I would love to try, so I would def come back. Plus, there's plenty of parking and there's live music every Thursday night!

Yelp
Came here tonight to have a great dinner and listen to some music. I ordered the burger which was done to perfection, juicy and delicious, loved the dipping sauce for the fries, the waitress said it was their most popular. My fiancé had the fettucinni alfredo and the noodles were thick like home made and sauce was spot on with spices. Always a chocolate chip cookie on them for dessert. I had an IPA that was out of this world and my dinner date ordered a flavored lemonade which she loved but the menu had the price at $4.00 and it rang up on bill for $5.00 waitress said, nope it's $5.00. They need to update that on their menu then. Should have honored the menu price, thought that was a little odd. But still love this place!

Yelp
Popped in for a quick cocktail and lunch. Sat at the bar with a gf and were attended to pretty quickly. We both ordered the chilaquiles...I had a Bloody Mary, she had a grapefruit drink. My bloody was very tasty but the skewer had old dry cheese on it. The chilaquiles were super fresh and so amazing. The eggs on top were perfectly cooked and the salsa verde was delish. One thing that was odd. The bartenders and servers were concocting new drinks and were doing heavy sampling of the drinks. Didn't seem appropriate or ok, but maybe it's acceptable there? In the end, food was great and I do recommend.

Yelp
The food and service are amazing... Gigi did a fantastic job keeping up with us at the bar.

Yelp
I've come to Margie's several times and they never disappoint. I find their food very fresh and everything I've tried is delicious. Last night we had the mother clucker pizza and spicy steak and noodles; both were amazing! Their drinks are also good.

Yelp
The atmosphere at margie's never disappoints, warm and cheery. We came to have dinner and listen to live music. We ordered the Burrata Crostini for an app and your friends LOVED It, I have had it many times but she was so glad I ordered it to share. I had the Shrimp Tempura and added the has browns with hollandaise (so nummy) the shrimp are large and bubbly they used to serve it on field greens and now serve with peppers, I prefer the field greens but it was still perfection. My friend had a burger with fries and loved the dipping sauce they let you pick from 11 home made dipping sauces. Our friend ordered the classic fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and he loved it. A few of us had the Margie's cookie drink with our chocolate chip cookie. OMG! delish!

Yelp
I love Margie's! Great food that comes out quick. The pizzas are my favorite. The burgers are extra special. We enjoyed 2 pizzas . Sweet&Spicy and Cluckin Awesome. The sweet&Spicy has hot honey drizzled on it and it really gives the sweet with pineapple mixed with the hot of jalapeño. The Cluckin Awesome has a very creamy and delicious Gorgonzola cream sauce. Roasted red pepper. Honestly we come for the vibe and that crust!! It's cooked perfect in their rotating brick oven. So perfect with a lil char. My daughter loves the Chipotle Benedict with a fresh fruit and greens side salad. Super fresh and the salad added color to this plate. Presentation is everything! Great cocktail and unique beer selections. I love Margie's!

Yelp
Great food, amazing music, and wonderful service!! Got seated right away and would highly recommend to anyone.

Yelp
It was my time at Margie's Kitchen, and I would say my experience was fantastic! For starters, the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. The interior is appealing; the tables are set in a candlelight mood. Even better, you can see the kitchen staff preparing your food from almost every seat in the dining room. The food itself was great. I ordered their Thai chipotle Pasta and it was perfectly spicy! I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the freshness of the veggies/ meat. The other people in my party ordered the Maple Mustard Grilled Salmon and the Sweet and spicy pizza. They were both 10/10 entrees. (Side note: any pizza at Margie's has a GREAT gluten free option) The waitress was very kind and made sure our needs were met promptly. Her recommendations were spot on- you can tell she knows the menu! I recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon.

Yelp
We've only been here for breakfast/brunch. Creme brûlée French toast is excellent. You can ask for pecans on the side. The Avocado toast was yummy. I remember enjoying the Poinsettia mimosa. Beautiful interior, and a real gem to the Andover area. Service was quick and adequate.

Yelp
I have to admit, when my son in law said we're going to diner at Margie's Kitchen and Cocktails, I was less than excited. It sounds like a dive bar or something. I'm visiting from out of town, so I decided to suck it up. This place is medium fancy with very good service. The booths are set up to where there is very little noise from nearby tables. This would be a great date spot. I hade the Walleye Pontalba (walleye, Canadian bacon with potatoes with shrimp & lemon) It was really great! I have had Walleye now 3 or 4 times on my trip and this is by far the best. Highly recommended! This is definitely a spot that I would love to come back to.

Yelp
I was told about this restaurant by my sister. She said she had been told by several of her friends in the area about it and I gave it a try and so glad I did! The only thing wrong with it is that I live on the other side of the Twin Cities from them...and a signage complaint which I will go into in a bit. First of all, it's a nice size restaurant, the volume isn't too loud even by the bar, and the decor is warm and inviting. They offer tables and booths as well as a patio area for those warmer days. The service was phenomenal! I don't remember the server's name but the ticket said Bartender D which is a code for who they are working with we were told. I wish I had remembered the server's name because she was fantastic! Attentive, sweet, warm and when asking questions she was not rushed. The food was also absolutely terrific! I got a pepperoni and red onion pizza which I rarely ever order from non-pizza specific restaurants. It was a Create-your-own pizza but I went old school. This was definitely one of my favorite pizzas in a long time! Great flavor, quality cheese, and the dough was perfect! It could have used a very short addition to cooking time just to get the center bottom a tiny bit firmer, but other than that it was amazing! Great sauce too (Herbed red sauce). I also added a side salad which was made up of high quality field greens, cucumbers, radish slices and tomatoes. The apple vinaigrette was drinkable!! Seriously! My mom also got a pizza and created a chicken, mozzarella, onion and avocado. That was also very, very good. Again needed maybe a few extra minutes to tightened up the center bottom crust but tasty! Honestly this will likely be our Go-To place so we can try some of the other things on their menu which was a nice variety. Not too big or too small. Oh...one thing...the name of the restaurant isn't facing the street if you are coming from the main road. It says "MKC" on the side over the door. Not great :(. We almost went past it and would have missed it all together :(. The name is listed at the angled end of the restaurant over the patio but that is not really viewable from the direction we were coming and when you have traffic all around you it's a bit difficult to take your eyes off the road and have to guess that MKC means "Margie's Kitchen & Cocktails". Might want to get some better signage especially since it's over your main door. Otherwise fantastic!

Yelp
The restaurant is very clean, cozy and the food was very delicious. Overall, the service at Margie's was excellent!

Yelp
Food 4/5 - I haven't been to this restaurant since the pandemic and noticed the menu change. I was super happy with all three dishes! The Korean BBQ brussel sprouts were hot and packed full of flavor, the farmhouse chicken was juicy and had delicious fall vegetables that accompanied the dish, and the burger was cooked to order. Then they brought us chocolate chip cookies at the end of our meal. All n' all really great food! Service / Ambiance 4/5 - We had a great dining experience in the bar section in a booth. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is dimly lit and lively! I love supporting a locally owned restaurant!

Yelp
Finally made it back in for the seasonal Slice of Pear-adise pizza and... where sometimes fond food memories result in too high of expectations, that was not the case here. This pizza is even better than I remember and I'm SO glad I decided to grab a bite to eat instead of just grabbing the gift card I came here for and heading home. Yum. BIG yum.

Yelp
Waited about 20 minutes, so we waited outside in the warm weather. I love how big and spacious the interior is. So far, the service has been great! Our server, Kai, was very on top of helping us. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which were delicious. However, they were very hard to eat cleanly, and most of the meal was spent trying to not lose all of the toppings and creating a soupy -salad in the bowl. I also ordered a cocoa cold brew which I did not care for. I think too much whiskey and Reyes Ancho liquor was poured into the beverage because there was zero coffee taste.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a lovely experience at Margie's starting with top notch, attentive service from the staff. The cocktails are nearly perfect and not too unreasonably priced relatively speaking. The grilled wings are surprisingly outstanding and the homemade ranch is one of the best out there. For $27, I'll definitely take 3 lbs. of wings, fries, and an assortment of sauces! The pizza that we tried was good, but not outstanding by any means although there are definitely others I'd like to return to try (along with several burgers). I definitely didn't arrive expecting to have one of the best Old Fashioned cocktails of my life, but I came away having done exactly that!
google avatar

Cory J.

Yelp
This restaurant is officially in are rotation and there is a reason for that. I have sandwiches, burgers, wood fire pizza, specials, pasta and all have been prepared wonderfully. I have not had a bad meal at this place. They do seasonal cocktails with liqour that is local to its area, and once again, phenomenal. The had a seafood medley dish that was sublime, and the last time I was there, they had a state fair pizza woodfire that I wish would always be there. My favorite dish is the dessert the creme bull. It melts in the mouth, rich, sweet, and gone to soon. Whether they are busy, or during lunch hour, they keep tables turning, and there happy hours are great. The waiter and waitresses thar we have had always come with great ideas for cocktails to get. Great for date night outing, or a great time with family. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
On the road again.... This place has great reviews and the yelpies convinced me. Great spot, the huevos rancheros were fire! Packed with flavor, good salsa and crispy tostadas. The Bloody Mary was delicious with their perfectly balanced house made mix topped with all the things, my fave. Our waitress was super fun and friendly and our food was served so fast; great when you're Hungry. We also got complimentary chocolate chip cookies after our meal, they were ooy gooy goodness just how I like my cookies - happy food dance.
google avatar

Kimberly F.

Yelp
We have been back several times since my first review and it has been great. We like to go early on a Friday and sit next to the bar. The happy hour appetizers are really good and I'm pretty sure we've tried them all. My husband really likes J's old Fashion and usually gets one. Our service has been excellent. The staff is friendly every time. It's always clean.
google avatar

Yelp
This is aways a fun place to go . One of my favorites is the lettuce wraps yumm! They also have awesome drinks, my partner said they make the best Manhattan he's ever had... ( I give a 4 star because I feel it's a little over priced. Live music on Thursday nights !

BD F.

Yelp
It was average "food" experience, especially considering the cost. After tip it was 170 for 2 adults & 3 kids. No alcohol. The appetizer was their signature dip & it was cold and lacked flavor. The burgers were simply bland - just not a ton of flavor. The pear pizza was the highlight - outstanding. The service was also great - both the hostess & our server (Heidi - I believe).
google avatar

Elise D.

Yelp
I've had my eye on this place for a while since moving into the area and I finally went to check it out. My only regret is I waited so long! The atmosphere at Margie's is modern and chic. I didn't see a ton of the restaurant because we had a booth right at the front, which I enjoyed because it was set aside in a way that we could enjoy a quiet meal in relative privacy. Our server, Veronica, was so nice and attentive, and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations! Onto the food and drinks. I live for craft cocktails and Margie's had a great menu with many options to fit every flavor profile. I had a total of 3 cocktails (Clover Club, Winter's a Beach, and Revenge of the Appletini) and I would get every single one of them again. I also love that they make their cocktails with local spirits. For food, I got the apple cranberry salad, and it was AMAZING. So refreshing and delicious, this is a perfect salad for summer (or anytime, honestly). For dessert, I got the creme brûlée, which I ate far faster than I should have, but it was just so darn good! Overall, I was very pleased with Margie's. Great service and atmosphere and amazing food and cocktails. There are so many more things on the menu I would love to try so I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I made reservations in advance for 8 people and asked not to be seated in the middle of the restaurant. When we arrived our table was ready, tucked in the back, perfect. Our waitress came right away. I believe her name was Boston. Adorable. She was fun and bubbly. Everything we ordered from drinks and appetizers to our meals, came out in a timely matter. The food, delicious! Seasoned so well. We had so much fun. Can't wait to go again!!

Yelp
Visited Margies at about 4:30pm on a Saturday during a really nice day and we wanted to sit on the patio. We didn't have a reservation but got in right before the rush so we got one within about 5 minutes. It was so nice outside and sitting outside was very nice. The menus are paper so the wind kept blowing them around but otherwise it was lovely. Their happy hour is between 3 and 5 so we were able to grab some happy hour drinks. The margarita was $6 so that was nice! I got a special pizza which had a cream sauce, avocado, red onion, lox and salmon on it. Oh my gosh, go amazing. Cannot recommend it more. They usually offer a complimentary cookie with each meal but we didn't get any this time. That's fine but next time we'll be sure to ask.

Yelp
Great food, good ambience, good people. Loved our server. We've been a few times and it's always great. Love the brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Yelp
We are regulars at Margie's, and often come for the pizza and creative cocktails. FOOD: My favorite item on the menu here is the "better than a bagel" pizza, which is inventive and tasty. The "Am I Umami?" pizza is also quite good. For their burgers, the onion jam burger had a bit too much blue cheese and the salmon burger was just okay. The cocktails are great though, and the test kitchen margarita is particularly good. SERVICE: The service at Margie's is great, despite there being a wait most of the times we have gone, the waiter was always quick and helpful. AMBIANCE: Margie's has many tables, and an upscale industrial vibe. There is also a nice outdoor patio during the warmer months. PARKING: Easy parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Sis and I made reservations at Margie's because of Kat Perkins. She was the Thursday night entertainment. Thank goodness because I was late to find out how wonderful this restaurant is. We showed up early for our 8:30pm reservation and only had to wait a short time for a table to be ready. And we were still sat a good 15 mins before our reservation timeslot. Service was outstanding. The waitress was timely, knowledgeable and funny. The food was hot, tasty. We didn't order drinks but the waters were refilled at the appropriate time. We even got a surprise chocolate chip cookie at the end of the meal. If you haven't been to Margie's yet, why not? GO NOW!

Yelp
Super solid restaurant in the Northwest suburbs! I went here for brunch with my friends this weekend and enjoyed everything I ate! We shared the Crème Brûlée French toast which was heavenly. They also had some yummy non-alcoholic drinks and I liked the Mango Tango! For entree, I'd highly recommend the Chipotle Eggs Benedict! They have a great variety of foods and it has a great ambiance!

Sara W.

Yelp
We have visited multiple times and the food has consistently been good. The sliders are very good here. Great specialty margarita as well. We tried to visit for happy hour a couple of times but they seem to make changes to the hours of that (later evening when we came at 5 and then it was earlier when we came for the 8pm hh) and therefore we haven't ever gotten there at the correct time. It would be nice if that was stated more clearly. Overall a great restaurant to have in the area.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
We came on Sunday afternoon with friends for a lunch and brunch I have heard good things about this place and we tried to come once with no reservation but the 1 hour wait time was more than we wanted then. The food was very good and I appreciate a scratch kitchen. I had a jalapeño popper burger with fries and it was exactly what I wanted. The only critique was to cook the jalapeño a little bit longer but that was minor. It was delicious I liked their menu and will come back to try their pizzas.
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
Always a good meal. The service is great. The bar is great too. I recommend sitting at the bar for dinner if it's just two. Enjoy the cookie.
google avatar

Yelp
Had the salmon with farrow risotto and asparagus. So delicious. The Korean BBQ Brussels sprouts were killer. Fries with aioli were wonderful. Please get the spicy mango margarita (thank me later). Everything was great. Lovely space. Amazing service (thanks Lexi!). We loved it. On the way out, we chatted with a guy who says he comes every week. I can see why!! Thanks for a great night out.

Yelp
I like everything here. The burger quality could be better. But the French toast, wild rice soup, wild rice burger...everything is so good.
google avatar

Abbie M.

Yelp
We are pretty regular customers. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. I love that we can find delicious, gourmet quality food and cocktails from a locally owned restaurant in Andover that is on par with anything in Minneapolis and St. Paul. We bring our "foodie" friends here for sure. One of our favorite things is to enjoy a later dinner at the bar on Thursday evenings so we can enjoy the live music as well. Thank you Margie's for being our favorite local spot!

Yelp
Escaped the cities for a weekend night and ended up at Margie's Kitchen and Cocktails with some friends! It was pretty busy for a Friday night and had a short wait to be seated. Service was great and the server was super friendly. They have a huge cocktail menu and tap beer list. Some unique takes on classic cocktails and some simpler ones if that's your style. Food is delicious, I went for their famous "Everything but the Bagel" pizza, which features smoked salmon, avocado, calipers, cheese, and a white sauce. Talk about unique and tasty! Pizza was a good personal size and had a couple slices to take home too. Overall a fun experience on a Friday in Anoka!

Yelp
not putting salt on the table is perhaps the most arrogant thing a restaurant can do. There are restaurants that are so good that this level of arrogance is not only acceptable it is expected, Margeries is not this place. For the rest of this review Margie's Kitchen + Cocktails will be referred to as Margeries because they really do not deserve the extra effort. Chef Diego must have skipped FLAVOR day in culinary school to do drugs. The Good The abundant space between tables is comfortably generous The sound level is not obnoxious The Bad A poorly written menu that lacks creativity and is a confusing hodge podge of random items. Chipotles on a Thai pasta anyone. Thailand has many spicy peppers, none of them chipotles. Handhelds which sounds oddly sexual, is 90% burgers, come up with a few more sandwiches. This is also the location for your famous dipping sauces, move it next to the sides. The Ugly Pittsburgh Blu is no where near medium rare, someone is afraid to cook a steak properly, undercooking steaks on purpose to avoid overcooking them is a disgrace, I will not give you the satisfaction of sending it back. Balsamic Reduction. Don't put specific sides with certain items, like risotto primavera with salmon and mashed potatoes with chicken parm this is for better places, just let the customer choose..

Yelp
Inaugural stop today since yesterday my friend that frequents here told me about the Breakfast Old Fashioned!! First off... whoa!!! She sold me on it when she said "it has maple syrup". Me: say no more. She finished with "and candied bacon". The syrup....adds just the right amount of sweetness to the whiskey to make it...simply amazing!! After mistakenly (ha) perusing the brunch & cocktail menus while I sipped.... I decided I didn't drive all this way just for one drink! I asked bartender Veronica what she would drink? She opted for the Juke Joint Blues. Not that I didn't trust her judgement but I asked passing by Anthony, Brittany, Hermaena & a blonde All concurred w VVeronica. Not a gin drinker I was hoping for the best. Veronica stopped by to ask how it was? I had no hesitation in replying "it's not good..it's SO DELICIOUS!! I'm questioning if it's better than the Breakfast Old Fashioned?! It was a little sweet, not so sweet you want to inhale it....just right! While drinking that I again began questioning the four of them to figure out if I should go w the bloody or another cocktail? I opted for the Funky Monkey that Hermaena said not many people order as it's new and it's odd. It was really light, so not a big winner but perfect for what I needed today when this was my third drink and I wanted to reel it in. I'm a brewery person so I hold fast and hard to the stance that: no matter how good a place is, 90% of why I go back is who's behind the bar. As long as their cool, friendly & informed is all I ask for. Today's Margie's crew? Crushed it!!! I definitely look forward to going back for a bloody! Thanks to Margie's phenomenal crew of Veronica, Anthony, Hermaena, Brittany & the blonde gal, I will definitely be back... and soon, to try the bloody and discuss cocktails with you all again! A super cute bar area and I appreciate the bar stools!! I'm a bigger gal so getting up on stools can be challenging; but Margie's were perfect, I slid right on to it!! Parking is super easy w the strip mall parking lot. I absolutely loved the white bar top. Not having a dark wood or something really helps brighten up the ambiance and I fully approve of more establishments going this route! I like their bathroom design. Several toilets in one area all with their own solid door and a deadbolt that when locked reads red OCCUPIED. Thanks Margie's for such a phenomenal inaugural visit that has satisfied my palate, and filled me w happiness, cheers!

Yelp
Great addition to the Andover area. Food is good, great ambiance and awesome service. They have a huge, beautiful space. My friend and I went here for dinner couple weeks ago. We ordered the Jalapeño Jam burger and fish tacos. Tacos were good but the burger stole the spot light. The burger was perfectly cooked and just delicious. Complimentary cookies after our meals was the perfect ending to our dinner. Will definitely go back and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
The server was awesome! I give 4 stars since my drink was wrong but the food was great and crème brûlée for dessert was delicious! It was busy, the ambience was festive and cozy. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We went to Margie's for the first time for my grandpas birthday and it was awesome! The service was prompt and fun! The food was amazing! My burger was very tasty, however I would have preferred the whole jalapeño to be cooked slightly as it was just a raw crunchy pepper. I sampled the Alfredo as well as the Auntie B's bowl, the bacon jam pizza and the cheesy chipotle corn dip - all amazing! It is pretty loud during peak peak hours, but overall the ambiance was pleasurable. The parking lot also fills up quickly.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in the Anoka/Ramsey/Andover/Coon Rapids area - thumbs up! After much anticipation, I got to try out the new MKC this evening! I don't give out a lot of 5 star reviews but my experience was definitely a solid 5 stars. Every bite of food was excellent. I really like their unique twists on hamburgers and pizzas with strange and unique flavor profiles - yum! They have a full bar too. I had a specialty cocktail. Again, it was great. They don't offer dessert (yet) but I got a fresh chewy chocolate chip cookie at the end of my meal. Nice touch. My only gripe about the food is that I didn't care for the pizza crust. It's thin crust but mine was doughy and soft, similar to pita bread. I prefer a crispy thin crust. They have a huge, beautiful, brand new, expensive looking brick pizza oven...they should leave the pizzas in there for an extra 1 or 2 minutes. It's a minor point though - the flavor was great. The service was first rate. Everyone was attentive and 100% on top of everything. Unfortunately, the northwest suburbs are largely a culinary wasteland unless you take the time to drive to Maple Grove. I'm thrilled that a restaurant of this caliber has opened in the Andover/Coon Rapids area. They have a lot of guts to open up a new restaurant during a pandemic! I wish them many years of great food, prosperity, and success. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Yelp
My wife has been to Margie's and recommended we go. We started out with a couple of cocktails. Mine was the spiced old fashion. Seasonal cocktail that combines a traditional old fashion with apple and some spice. An absolute favorite for me. My wife also enjoyed hers. I did forget to make a note of what hers was called but it was delicious. We started out with the Korean bbq Brussels sprouts. Nice cook on the brussels sprouts. The Korean bbq sauce was amazing. Nice little shareable starter. We also got the Fellers Ranch Wagyu burger. This is a 6.5 oz local ranch Waygu burger topped with smoked Gouda, crispy shoestring potatoes and arugula topped with a ginger lime aioli. The description says recommend medium to medium rare. We asked for medium rare. It came out medium to medium well. It was dry. Flavors were good and it needed a little more aioli. We also tried the sweet and spicy pizza. This hand-crushed San Marzano tomato sauce, whole-milk mozzarella, italian sausage, grilled pineapple, jalapeños, and drizzled with hot honey. This was AMAZING! Great flavor combination. Perfectly cooked pizza. Their dipping sauce are to die for. We tried the chimichurri aïoli, wow a great dipping sauce for the fries. We also ordered a side of blue cheese and ranch. I love dipping my pizza crust into blue cheese. The blue cheese was delicious. Great flavor and not over powering with the blue cheese. The ranch was amazing also. Our server Mariela was a rockstar.
