Such good food. This felt so homey and welcoming and was absolutely delicious. We got the meat platter for one and the veggie platter for one. It’s enough to feed three. Their tea was also good- a bit sweet for me but perfect for my mother.

A true taste of home! Marhaba Eritrean and Ethiopian Cuisine and Market is a hidden gem and a comforting slice of East Africa right in the heart of Texas. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality make you feel like you're back home. The injera is fresh and perfectly tangy, and the variety of dishes—from doro wot to tsebhi—are rich in flavor and authenticity. You can tell the food is made with love. The market is also well-stocked with hard-to-find ingredients and cultural items. Whether you're Habesha or just love bold, flavorful food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I've been wanting to try this place as this food tends to be very friendly to healthy and veg dishes. I was not disappointed and it has taken years since the first and my last experience in an Ethiopian restaurant and I couldn't wait and it all delivered! I hope to return again and again... Only concern was the extremely slow and unattentive service. The lady was nice enough....but kept disappearing into the kitchen where more staff sounded like socializing and chatting and took forever in between visits. Seriously seemed like a half hour between visits.

Great visit! Loved the food, of course, but the atmosphere was great too. They have little scenes set up around the restaurant that make it feel like you are actually visiting Ethiopia. Definitely worth checking out. I'll be going back again!

Loved the food. The service was friendly. And the atmosphere was relaxing and interesting at the same time. I found myself smiling the entire time.

Excellent and authentic food. We had the meat combo for two which was delicious with very tender beef and lamb. In hindsight we should have ordered a meat combo for one and the veggie combo.

This is a must try. My husband and I came here on a date night and ordered the meat combo for two and coffee. Dinner was an incredibly fun experience. This was my first time to be encouraged to eat messy foods with my hands! The main dishes were unique and flavorful, and the Injera Bread was spongy and delightful. The coffee was a very cool experience too. We were brought out the beans while she was roasting them and then served a very dark and delicious shot of Ethiopian coffee. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was delicious! It is a small shop ran by the owner, who is very nice! She'll give you recommendations and come check in to ensure your meal is well served. I'd recommend the combo plates as they have multiple options to try and don't forget to add a Ethiopian coffee to complement your meal experience! Definitely recommended if you're looking for something unique, traditional and different from your typical fast food or bbq options in town

Yelp
I love this place I had never had Ethiopian food before I really love the bread. I love that there are vegetable options and the greens are the best.

Yelp
My fiancé's family had never had Ethiopian food before and as their first experience this was a HIT! We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everyone ate everything we ordered. We had tibsi and keyh wot and gomen and misir and shiro, alicha be sigha. So much food and the service was wonderful. Felt like I was at my mom's house. We had a great time and look forward to going back!

Yelp
Ordered a to-go plate of Siga Allicha, and it was not only quickly prepared but also incredibly delicious. The flavorful sauce complemented the tender meat well. The woman at the front seemed proud of customers exploring their food, even asking where I heard about the restaurant. I enjoy trying places beyond my usual choices, and I highly recommend giving Marhaba Eritrean a try.

Yelp
Nice clean establishment. The food was so good! I had the yellow lentils, collard greens, and cabbage, then got baklava to go. The baklava was delicious and service was very friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Phenomenal food, the vegetable combination plate included many dishes, all were great. A very large amount of good food for a great price. The coffee was roasted in front of us too!

Yelp
What a wonderful find! The only bad thing is that they've been here for eight months before I found out about them. My loss. I heard about them on Thursday and went there on Friday, Valentine's Day. I had gone to a fundraising lunch so I wasn't terribly hungry and was just going to order something small but I ended up getting the lamb stew on injera bread and it was so delicious I ate the whole thing. Guess I was hungrier than I thought. I also had a cup of Ethiopian tea and it was delicious. They have a little store in the back of the restaurant where they sell ethnic foods and I bought some of the tea to bring home plus some ginger tea as well. The people are just as nice as can be. It is a very family-oriented restaurant with their small children in attendance with them. I'm so happy there is a delicious Ethiopian restaurant in town. I just wish they'd been here the whole time I've been in Amarillo or that I'd heard about them sooner. I can't wait to go back and try other foods including their breakfast items.

Yelp
Clean, affordable and tasty. Pleasantly surprised tried the lamb and vegetarian platter for two. Fed 2 adults and 2 kids
