First time here and certainly not last! What a cute atmosphere with intimate setting. The service was very attentive. All food served together for our table or 4. Portions are filling. We got the Rigatoni con Salsicca with no cream and it was delicious with pasta cooked al dente. The lobster ravioli was good but very seafood taste if that’s what you’re looking for. Dessert menu has something for everyone. Tiramisu made in house. Affogato was a good serving. The lava cake was perfectly warmed up. Parking is parallel parking in this walking area. Weekday nights are not busy it seems. They have a private dining room good for a group dinner. The bar area was rowdy but they were in a separate wing of the space so it wasn’t a bother.

Warm lighting and a even kinder environment lend to a sophistication of Italian cuisine rarely felt in downtown Renton. My mother, my beautiful wife and my brother always tell me how much they love and wish to return to Marianna Ristorante. The food is delectable, the atmosphere is clean, warm and inviting and the service is absolutely top notch! The wine is elegant/sophisticated and lends to an even better experience. Our FAVORITE waiter Adam is always an absolute gem of a time! His respectable demeanor and calm yet inviting presence puts us at ease every time we dine here, and makes each and every one of us feel as if we are family. He truly is a wonderful waiter, skilled in presentation and educated highly in the pairing process of good Italian red wine with whichever cut of beef you choose with your meal! I hope all who read this give this decadent restaurant a try and always ALWAYS order the fried Burrata, the vodka cream sauce with white truffle is exceptionally delicious......Oh btw.....as is every dish we have tried here already! Marianna Ristorante has a special place in my heart, and i am so lucky to have such exquisite Italian food just a quick 5 minute drive away! With Gratitude, Nick J

Google
This is a very nice Italian restaurant, but not too fancy. Everybody in my group loved their food, from the pizza to many different noodle dishes. We had a small problem with one of the dishes, and the server took care of it immediately. The decor is very nice and has a very Italian feel. Although not busy when we went, I am told they can be very busy so I recommend reservations.

Google
Extra kudos to Adam. There was a mixup with our reservation and he handled an unexpected 27 people on a Monday evening with professionalism and patience. He did an excellent job getting everyone in our party served in a timely manner. Also, the food was amazing and I plan to return (perhaps for a quiet, romantic meal this time!). Thank you for making this event memorable!

Google
Friendly, attentive staff serving up good cocktails, a respectable wine list for almost every budget, and a menu featuring traditional and PNW-influenced Italian dishes. The fried calamari was a solid performer with a bright aioli, and the sauteed mushroom appetizer special was a savory treat! I had the bowtie pasta in a cream sauce with salmon. Fantastic melding of flavors! If you appreciate a solid Italian red, I recommend their montepulciano. When you come in, ask for Francia, she was a wonderful server, And David behind the bar was holding it down! Thanks, y'all!

Google
Our first visit to Mariana Ristorante left us with a generally pleasant impression, particularly due to the prompt service and the attentive care of our waitress. We were especially pleased with how quickly our chosen dishes - the pasta with Manila clams and the salmon pasta - arrived at our table. While the flavors were enjoyable, we found them to be somewhat familiar, leaving us hoping for a touch more innovation or a distinctive element to elevate the dishes. As our group was of a medium size, we did find the area where we were seated became a bit too warm for comfort as the evening progressed.

Google
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the best Manhattan which took me by surprise. Tried the Seafood Paella and it was incredible! Generous portion and the flavor was amazing. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. We may have found our new favorite Italian Restaurant.

Google
Took a couple of key business colleagues out to dinner last night to Marianna’s! It was fantastic! The food was delicious! The pasta was amazing! I had the GF Pasta Carbonara and it fabulous! The ambience was quiet but not too quiet! Great Tuscan wine too!

Yelp
Another great meal and service at Marianna's! Not only the food was great but the ambiance was very welcoming. I mentioned in an earlier review that the bartender tended to be too loud. It seems that situation was resolved. He was working and restaurant was quiet and offered the atmosphere for a nice restaurant. We each had the wagyu ribeye! GREAT job! Food was cooked to perfect temperature and the sauce and mushrooms were fantastic. We also had the clams and mussels as an appetizer - also 5 stars! Special shout out to male server (Andy?). His knowledge of wine list, menu, and food flow helped make this a perfect night!! Cannot wait to return!!

Yelp
Everything about this place is enjoyable, to me. 3rd year going there for annual holiday get together with my friend. Wonderful happy hour menu, attentive staff. Love, love , love the bartender. Homey and cozy

Yelp
Sometimes you just want to walk into a restaurant and let the day wash away; be greeted nicely, get a great drink, and food. And that is just what Marianna's does. I've sat at the bar, and sat in a booth in the bar area and between getting to have a chat with Santiago or whomever is working the bar - it's just a nice way to bring the day to a close. And I have to mention the empress gin, elder flower, and fresh lime juice drink that we had the other day. I didn't feel like making a decision - said that I'm usually a gin or vodka person - they had me at Empress gin. Highly recommend a visit! And highly recommend this cocktail!

Yelp
This place is a go to for us! Their happy hour is great, and they often have specials where you can find lamb, which they make really good! The staff is very friendly and attentive, they make you feel like we've know them forever! It does get pretty busy during the week, specially at the bar which is where we sit, so make sure you hurry there!
google avatar

Yelp
I like that they have carbonara on the menu and it is made with actual eggs, it was good but I would've liked more salt. I ordered the lava cake and that was delicious. I also had the dinner salad with the blue cheese. It was refreshing. We came in on a Saturday before the dinner rush so we were the only ones in the restaurant. The hostess was lovely but we asked to be moved to the bar because that's the only way you get the happy hour prices. Even though it was very slow it still seemed like a whole between drinks and such. Not terribly bad, but for being the only ones, it was slower than I anticipated. The place is big and quiet. We enjoyed it, but nothing stuck out as special.

Yelp
The food was good, not perfectly authentic, but close enough. The service was ok for me, but we got there before the crowd arrived. The crowd was there in full force when we needed our check, and can see how it could be bad for others. However, my waitress was good so I can't complain. One thing that was odd was that my son ordered a pizza which arrived before the pasta my daughter and I recieved. When his pizza arrived a lady came by to offer him some fresh real Parmesan cheese. He said no, and that was the last we saw of her that evening. She never came back when my daughter and I got our pasta - odd! I liked the atmosphere and that doesn't come through here on Yelp. If you've been on the fence about this one, then I'd say give it a try. It's fun and worth a visit. The kids enjoyed the food too! Oh and the Pizza crust is closer to Papa Johns texture vs the thin crust you get in Southern Italy. If that doesn't bother you then you'll love it.

Yelp
This little gem is so delicious! The food is well prepared when delivered it is hot and packaged well. We have ordered multiple times and attached is pictures from our recent order. Salmon bow tie pasta is also a must!

Yelp
I really like the food at Marianna. I also enjoy the bartenders humor and level of service. Everyone there is nice. The managers and owner have greeted us almost every time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with just the amount of light. Now the food! The meatballs with any dish is my favorites. Whatever I get, there are going to be meatballs on the side. When I'm in the mood for Italian cuisine, this is my spot. I wish I was good at names, but I'm not so I will just say that everyone in the restaurant is absolutely stellar. Their level of service I get is always a cut above the rest.

Yelp
Very old building in the heart of downtown Renton. Biggest problem is lack of parking so plan accordingly to drive around the block because the few parking lots are always full. They have a full bar, pretty extensive wine list and a nice size menu. Bread and dipping sauce are complimentary and the balsamic oil mix was delightful. I decided on linguini with clams. It was good, plenty of clams but a little too much red pepper for my taste. Others might think it just fine. My husband got spaghetti bolanease and said it was good. We ended with panna cotta with a berry mixture on top which our server said was made in house. It was probably the best part of the meal. They have pizza as well and we thought at some point we'd like to go back and try that.

Laurissa G.

Yelp
They have the BEST calamari. And the sauteed mushroom appetizer was a Hobbit's dream. The ravioli had an excellent depth of flavor, and I had to work to keep from licking the plate! Also the service was extremely attentive but without being annoying. You could just tell the staff we're paying attention. We will absolutely be back!
google avatar

Josh K.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and atmosphere at Mariannas. The food also backs it up very well, super solid. The carbonara was a little too rich for my taste but the vongole was super light and fresh. Always love burrata con prosciutto!!
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Marianna's for quite some time. Their raviolis are to die for! The ambiance was great as well, really paired well with the dinner. Bruschetta as the appetizer is always a win. The portions may look small but due to their rich flavor it is very filling. Service was good as well.

Yelp
Food: Pistachio Crusted Halibut and Steak (don't know the name of the dish). Service: Excellent, fast, and very attentive (I've only ate at the bar) Ambiance: perfect place to go on a date or meet up with friends! Happy Hour is till 6p (M-F).

Beth J.

Yelp
We love this little place. It's quaint, quiet, and dimly lit. The pizza is excellent, as is the pasta, the bolognese being a favorite. The staff is always the absolute best, and the wine list is nice.

Yelp
A real gem in Renton. The best pasta and salads in the Seattle area! Lots of choices and fresh ingredients. The balsamic/oil they provide for bread dipping rocks my world. Great pesto & marinara and spicier sauces...meats, desserts...all of it! Lovely ambiance, private & quiet. Lots of comfy booths. The bar has great cocktails and a lovely bartender guy with a huge smile!

Rilla B.

Yelp
Francia made our daughter's 13th birthday memorable for her birthday dinner. She was so kind, friendly and welcoming. My daughter felt so spoiled! You gave exceptional service to our family, even despite a broken glass (not by me!). Quick to take care of the mess and make sure everyone was okay. The clams were delicious. We made reservations for a Friday night and zero time waiting, you got us right to our table. And surprised her with a delicious birthday dessert! Our first time eating here and first of many more, thank you!

Yelp
I don't particularly care for pasta but everyone in my group was craving it so we decided to find somewhere. We hate all of the options in our area, I swear Snohomish county has the worst selection of food. This place was open late so we decided to try it. I couldn't tell if our bartender/server was annoyed we were there or not. She wasn't very enthusiastic and didn't greet us, but I saw her smile and laugh a few times. Anyways, I didn't realize the menu options would be so odd. I wanted tortellini but I don't like ham and I've definitely never been somewhere that has ham in their pasta. My friends got a pizza and a pasta dish that had Gorgonzola and added chicken. My tortellini was alright other than the ham. The pizza was good. The pasta dish with Gorgonzola with chicken added wasn't very good. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked on a propane stove and the propane left like a chemical taste. Thats the only way I can describe it. My friend asked for ranch for her pizza and they said they don't have ranch because it's an authentic Italian restaurant. I think this place is overrated and not worth the money at all. Would not return and I wouldn't suggest going here unless it's your only option in the area. They were open later than most in the area

Yelp
Food was great, service was top notch. Server did keep addressing just my partner. Loved the wine selection Happy to eat local

Yelp
I was in need of a quick bite on my way home. I was so glad to find this hidden gem. An not just go to my usual stops at The Landing. What a great little spot, Marianna's is. Such a a very warm and inviting restaurant. The menu had quite a few favorites. The food was delicious. I definitely plan to return again.

Morgan L.

Yelp
Skip the Caesar salad. $7 for the amount they gave was crazy. It was just enough to cover the bottom of the plate. I wish I took a picture. Tasted alright, but not good enough to justify how small it was. The quality of the mussels was not good. You can see a range in the picture I took. I ate the clams. Those were fine. The bolognese spaghetti was okay. I added a side of meatballs (2) for $8. It was not goof at all. I took a bite out of each just to make sure. The texture was odd. Not like a meatball should be almost slime-y/dough-y/clumped together. The taste was worse. No taste. It was pathetic. Complimentary bread with dipping was decent.
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
The service was good. We were confused which wine to go for, and the server make sure we had the right wine. However, the bruschetta and Tirami su were just average.
google avatar

Oddah D.

Yelp
I want to start off and say that the service was great! The waitress was kind and attentive. However, the food was disappointing and I wish pricing was more transparent. Cost wasn't an issue until we started dining and found the meal to be under seasoned, so seeing the bill at the end and discovering that the sides that came with our dishes had additional costs was upsetting. The paella was under seasoned. The prime rib was overcooked. The garlic bread was so dry that it was comparable to croutons. But the drinks were great. Maybe just visit the bar and order appetizers; the truffle fries were the best!
google avatar

Phillip P.

Yelp
The restaurant and the food was amazing. The only complaint I had was the waiter. I enjoyed his service at the beginning and he was amazing but when the restaurant got busy he forgot about us and it was very difficult to enjoy after.
google avatar

Terri A.

Yelp
Had a lovely quiet dinner with my husband pre-Valentine's Day. The restaurant was very cozy and had an old school Italian vibe minus the red and white checkered tablecloths. We enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer. The beet salad was a little flat/basic. Penne alla vodka was delicious and had hints of pancetta. Veal parmigiana was prepared well. For dessert we tried the Torta Della Nonna. Wasn't prepared for lemon flavor, described as vanilla custard and it was a little underwhelming. If you are craving Italian, menu had variety of options and wines by the bottle were reasonable.
google avatar

Leisha A.

Yelp
Going, going... gone. This place isn't going down hill- it went; tumbling & flying! It is so far gone, the meatballs cannot even catch up to it. Think Olive Garden is a better bet at this point. Oh, & management kinda sucks, so the waitstaff sucks; they are trained (or the lack thereof) by management. Woe as me.
google avatar

Wendi C.

Yelp
Had a work event here and it was... fine. I got a salad. Service was good even when it was busy. I think I just didn't dig the menu too much. I can see why people like it, but there wasn't much for me. Totally worth trying though!

Justin C.

Yelp
Food was great, drinks were good Bread was soft Had the cream ham sauce and the spagehtti bolaneease

Pamela H.

Yelp
We have only recently begun visiting Marianna's because for years we went to the Italian Restaurant owned by Friends (now closed up shop!) so we were pretty skeptical. We have YET to try something that we're unhappy with. I typically don't order seafood when I can't see water but the linguine with clams is amazing, the misto salad, refreshing, the bolognese (my husband's favourite) and carbonara (his 2nd favourite) get his approval. The minestrone is soul-healing ("Italian Chicken Soup" to THIS 'Jersey girl!) Their pistachio cake is light, tasty and to die for. They have great Happy Hour PORTIONS and prices, too. However..... what DRIVES me to write this review is the STAFF. Specifically, DAVID. Everyone knows David and David remembers Everyone. He is hospitable, courteous, professional, knowledgeable about the menu/specials and makes great suggestions. He is also a GREAT Mixologist. I would be remiss to not mention another great staff member, Lovely Jonika! Jonika is also a great mixologist, kind and pleasant. After a long day or week, stay local, stop in and you won't be sorry. The ambiance alone is cozy and soothing.

Yelp
I haven't been to this restaurant since before the pandemic. I remember enjoying the food, the way that it looked inside, how great the staff was. And now in 2023, everything is the same. The staff was gracious. The food was delicious, and the decor reminded me of a little bistro in Italy. Check out my photos. We had a really great meal and great wine. Make sure you check it out OK

Jayne G.

Yelp
My friends and I went to Marianna Ristorante on a whim. The host, Adam, was friendly and immediately welcomed us. He was very gracious and funny. We had prompt service for everything - drinks, appetizers, extra napkins, water refills. The bread and dip for the table was fantastic, and the ambiance was nice (nice atmosphere, great music in the background). My group had a lovely time and we all plan to come back soon.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
They started us off with bread and olive oil. The bread was ok but the olive oil with vinegar was good. I ordered the truffle fried. The sauce was good. I had a bite from my friends 'orders. Everything tasted good. Chicken parmigiana was my favorite out of all the dishes. Chicken was tender and crispy, and right amount of sauce.

J W.

Yelp
This was my first time at this restaurant. I was there for an early dinner on Saturday evening. Food was very good. I ordered one of their specials, "Linguine Allo Scoglio". It had mussels, clams, prawns, calamari, and garlic in a white wine sauce with a touch of Pomodoro. It was very tasty and filling. Had to take some of it home. I also ordered the Marianna Chopped side salad, which included salami and a tasty vinaigrette dressing. The portion of the side salad was bigger than I expected. And the waiter brought out bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar with spices as a dip before dinner. The service was very good. The waiter was very informative and checked on me often to fill my water glass. The decor and the design of the restaurant was really warm and inviting with wine cellar storage around the restaurant area and bar area, an interesting way of hanging pictures of Italian locations throughout the restaurant from the ceiling, and modern lighting. They had pleasant sometimes Italian dinner music playing in the background. Overall, it was a very tasty, enjoyable and what really felt like an authentic Italian dinner experience. I will definitely visit the restaurant again in the future. Update: Went back there today for dessert. Had the tiramisu. It was awesome! Not too sweet, just right.

Yelp
This place was a great experience, the other restaurant we wanted to try was booked & we stumbled upon this place & I'm glad we did as our service was good, the drinks were delicious, the steaks were so GOOD!!! Everything on our plates were devoured because it was all so good. If you're looking for an intimate place I wouldn't say I had the intimate vibe from this place as it was quite loud but we also sat in the bar area around an hour past HH so I'm sure that would have something to do with that aspect Overall a good experience and we would love to visit this place again
google avatar

Terri A.

Yelp
It was our first time there, and we will be back! My 10!year old Grandson gave them the best compliment. While holding up a piece of pizza, he stated, "this is quality!" We all agreed!
google avatar

Krystal L.

Yelp
Great food and amazing staff! Prices are decent for all the food we had. I had a craving for pasta and decided to swing by this store and I hit JACKPOT! The vodka penne and rigatoni are amazing. Vodka penne is sooo creamy with the pancetta and the Italian sausage in the rigatoni hit HARD! Everything we tried was amazing and fairly priced. I can't wait til they bring back their HH but we'll definitely be back to try the specials: they've got paella, filet mignon and a lobster ravioli .
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
The ambience was excellent. Live music the food was incredible and service was super highly Recommend this place. I wish I remembered the menu item but it was on a special.
google avatar

Shayley M.

Yelp
Food was amazing, we started off with the mixed bruschetta. Half mushroom and half tomatoes, it wasn't over powering. Just right. I tried the Gorgonzola filet. It was mouth watering! Filet was cooked to perfection (medium rare) the sauce had such an amazing flavor. The cognac filet was also super delicious, the sauce was packed with so much flavor. A must try! Overall we couldn't have been more happier with our dinner choices!
google avatar

Carl D.

Yelp
We went to Marianna at the suggestion of the friends with whom we were having dinner and found it to be delightful. The service was excellent. Our server brought us samples of two wines we were considering so we could compare and contrast, then appetizers of clams and mussels before our main courses and, finally, dessert. I had worked with our friends in the hospitality industry for several years in two different locations, including an award-winning Greek restaurant that I helped open (and which is now closed), so we know good food and service, and are very particular about both. Marianna met our high standards on both counts. The only down side is that it's in downtown Renton and parking can be difficult, but that's not a relection on Marianna.

Ka B.

Yelp
We had the burrata e prosciutto, gnocchi w/ bolognese, a lobster pasta special, the molten chocolate lava cake and they were all delicious. It's not a cheap dinner but the food is great. We waited 5-10 minutes before anyone welcomed us so we ordered everything at once. Entrees could have been timed a little better because we weren't quite done with appetizers, but overall it was a great meal. The place could use a refresh, it feels a little old, but clean and again, they food was wonderful.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Made reservations for our early Valentine's dinner on Saturday February 10th. Started to get busy after 5:30pm, lots of families type of vibe. Staff was really nice and food was great. Nice spot in downtown Renton for some Italian food
google avatar

Van N.

Yelp
Love love this place..... We love coming here especially for their happy hour, the price is great and the customer service is . We order the bulgonese spaghetti every time.... And the clams and mussels. And for happy hour $25 for a bottle of wine is GREAT
google avatar

Olyvia N.

Yelp
Amazing place for date night after work! I joined the waitlist off of yelp and when I arrived to check in, the hostess wasn't able to find my name, but she was very understanding and sat us down right away. The service here is pretty quick considering how busy it was, we didn't need to wait that long after placing our order. once they gave us complimentary bread then our dinner started coming out one after the other. Everything tasted amazing and I want to say the price to portion is fair Will definitely be coming back!!

Marcia L.

Yelp
We've been dining here for sometime now. We had a newer waiter (tall man with dark hair) when we came for our Valentines dinner on February 15th. He rushes you through your whole dinner. We ordered our first drink and he tried to take our food order and kept coming back several more times, even though we told him we wouldn't be ordering for a while. We hope to never be seated in his area again.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Our favorite Italian restaurant south of Seattle. Tasty food and good prices. I'm rather hard of hearing and the acoustics can be quite challenging for me especially when it's busy. I particularly like their seafood pasta. If it's not shown as one of the daily specials just ask. They've always accommodated.

C J.

Yelp
First time in. Cute Italian Restaurant everyone was raving about. Very friendly service, however we were handed a menu with a separate sheet of paper saying here are our specials and they walked away. Some of the items I had no clue what they were! Ohhh, they don't have lasagna on the menu btw!? Prices were so over the top for what was served, I was shocked. The dessert I ordered, was tiramisu. It was maybe a 2x2 piece maybe 2 inch layered. I opened the to go box at home and was NOT happy for the $8 I paid for it. There will not be a second visit..I was not impressed!
google avatar

Hong T.

Yelp
Perfect date night spot! Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Best Italian food in the Renton area. I recommend the carbonara if you're in the mood for something rich and creamy! The clam linguine was also good if you're wanting a lighter pasta. Definitely can't skip the tiramisu for dessert.

Daft O.

Yelp
SO impressed by the quality of the food here. Our service was great, direct no over the top action, my type of service, topped water often, bread and oil, wow, leave that with me all day. Love the look and feel of the place too. Expect parking issues as it is downtown but for a person who doesn't crave Italian food, I will forever crave THIS Italian food. I feel the portions are perfect, no one should leave a restaurant full, have some self control, all I have to say about that!

Nicole L.

Yelp
We absolutely love Mariannas! They have great food and the ambiance is unbeatable. We love sitting in the bar and having David as our server!
google avatar

Linet A.

Yelp
Wowowowo I was here twice and twice they did NOT fail! I am obsessed with the food here and the drinks are so good! Friday nights they have someone singing sooo cool I will definitely be back here! And you should come too
