The food and prices were decent. The hostess was exceptionally friendly. The decor could be more charming for a Greek restaurant. The bathroom cleaning products could be smelled in the dining area.

Best Gyro in town. Roast chicken with green beans is delicious. The Greek village salad is always fresh and tasty. The gyro meat has the right taste and texture that you get at a good Greek restaurant in New York. You can eat the gyro meat cold the next day and it is still fantastic.

It was okay. The patitsio and mousaka were bland. The service was alright. Did not leave with a satisfied experience. I did not feel like the entree selection was adequate, nor the food good enough for the price. However, the calamari was extremely fresh and delicious. We thought the rest of the food was going to follow suit but we were disappointed. Did not like the greek salad, and I felt like the entree sides were very limited. Just salad, rice, and potatoes. Unappetizing.

I keep coming back time and time again. I’m definitely getting a dopamine high off the food here. If your looking for luxury this place isn’t it however warmth and a comfy atmosphere is definitely the vibe. The food is amazing and the prices are fair. The host is extremely friend and always has a smile on his face. I’ve come here with friends or alone and the experience always makes me feel at home. Love it ❤️‍🔥

We catered some gyros for my wife’s birthday dinner of about 30 people and it was AMAZING! Everyone was asking where we ordered from. From the moment I called and spoke with Niko to the moment I picked it up. Niko was very helpful in explaining the prices and how much I would need for the amount of people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a nice Greek meal.

I was not happy at all with the price and the service. We ordered a meat kabob. It only has 5 little pieces with French fries (frozen) and we were charged $29.00. I ordered a gyro platter and the waiter brought me a chicken platter. I told him this is not what I ordered and his answer was then I will need to pay for it. I felt bad for him and kept the chicken platter. Will never go back to this restaurant.

Maria's is that quaint restaurant right in the middle of one of Miami's oldest suburbs and never disappoints. Great food, excellent selection and wonderful staff. This is the reason I've been coming here for so long

Yelp
Best all around solid Greek food restaurant. Service with a smile. Food is tasty and the portions are generous. The only downside can be parking but most of the time it's not too hard.

Yelp
From the moment you step into Maria Greek Restaurant, you're transported to a world of authentic Greek hospitality and culinary delight. This family-owned gem has been the cornerstone of comfort Greek cuisine for decades, and it's clear why the moment you taste their food. The ambiance of Maria's is warm and inviting, with enough space to turn any occasion, be it a birthday or a party, into a memorable celebration. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, always attentive and genuinely nice, adding to the overall fantastic dining experience. But let's talk about the star of the show: the food. The lemon drop soup is not just good, it's "yummy to die for," a sentiment I wholeheartedly echo. Each dish, from the impeccably seasoned gyro meat to the fresh and flavorful Greek salad, speaks volumes of the care and authenticity poured into the cooking. It's evident that everything you eat here is home-cooked, prepared with love and tradition. Dining at Maria Greek Restaurant isn't just eating out; it's an experience that brings the heart and soul of Greece to your table. For anyone craving genuine Greek cuisine and a warm, festive atmosphere, look no further. Maria's is the place to be.

Yelp
Excellent spot for an authentic Greek meal. This place has been around forever me continues to deliver a great meal. I had the gyro platter. It includes a nice salad with olives and shredded feta, French fries right from the frier. Some tisiki and excellent gyro meat. The chicken kabob has all the same stuff as the gyro but with perfectly cooked chicken. For a place to survive this long they have a to be doing something right. What might that be ?pretty much everything. Great service food and ambiance

Yelp
I found out about this place while picking up for someone. I never knew about this place. I came today to give it a shot to see if this was tasty since Greek food is not very common in my personal diet. My goodness. Their potatoes were extremely delicious, but their lasagna that is named starting with the letter "P" was absolutely dull, super watered down, NO FLAVOR and terrible! The string beans were horrible and watery with no flavor too. The food here SERIOUSLY tasted like nursing home food for the elderly. I asked for noodles, I was in the mood for some real, creamy, delicious pasta and the waitress told me that was exactly what I was going to get, but instead I got a soggy, disgusting lump of old people lasagna that tasted old. My goodness, it was just SO terrible. I spoke up and told staff that I just decided not to eat anything else here, because everything was extremely expensive and they had HORRIFIC menu choices like tilapia, then almost $10 for a single octopus leg appetizer, and shrimp scampi without noodles, yuck gawd. They serve no kinds of spaghetti or noodles here. The place is decorated nicely with cultural music, but this place is a joke. I couldn't understand HOW in the world ANYONE was eating inside of here. One extra star only because staff were very nice to me, and because they didn't charge me for eating their yummy potatoes.

Yelp
So you say you like Greek food right? Well if that is the case, you will definitely want to check out Maria's Greek Restaurant. Came to find out that they have been around for quite some time in Miami so they are a very safe bet. Truthfully I had never been to this restaurant but my cousins wanted to try something new so we headed on over. Parking was not a problem but you will need to park on the street and it was somewhat limited so you just may need to park a little further out and walk a bit. Well worth it guys as the food and service were excellent! Upon arrival we were greeted and seated within about 10 minutes. It was very busy which is always a good sign. The restaurant ambiance was nice as it was clean, nicely decorated with a modern feel. Once seated our server ran us through some recommendations, brought us our drinks and we were off to the races. To start things off, we decided to go with the Appetizer Platter as it had a little of everything. We also ordered the grilled octopus for an appetizer as you can go to a Greek restaurant and not try the octopus right? . I have to say everything was very fresh and the octopus was out of this world. Anyway, cruising in to our main courses we decided to go with the Lamb Shank for two of us, the 1/2 Grilled Chicken, the Moussaka and an order of Tzatziki with Pita bread for the whole group. If you are thinking "good grief these guys were hungry", well you would be right! On the drink side we stuck to the house wine which was light but nice. Honestly we really enjoyed all the food, drinks and had a great time as well. You will not be disappointed if you give them a try as we have been back on a few occasions since and it has been just as good. Truthfully I personally think they are one of the better Greek restaurants in Miami. Wishing you all a great time at Maria's! Enjoy and Bon Appétit m'es amis!

Yelp
Maria's is the definition of excellence as my favorite Greek restaurant in Miami. If you don't know about Maria's, then you have come to the right place to read about it. Everything is delicious. Had not been in a while, but food was as perfect as I remember. Shish Kabob - A+ Branzino (fillet) - A++ Grilled Octopus - A+++ For sides we shared greek salad and roasted potatoes which was plenty. Gorgeous salad with a perfectly balanced dressing to feta ratio. PS: Don't forget to have a Mythos. It is tradition! Service is and has always been amazing. Everyone kind, friendly, and polite. Thank you all!!

Olivia G.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! I had the best chicken of my life tonight. It was so big I had to take half of it home, and I'm not kidding when I say half! You get a really great portion of food for the price, and everyone is always so kind when we go there. 10/10 one of the best hidden gems in Miami!

Sarai I.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at Maria's greek restaurant. Since we're not locals, we wanted to sample some delicious Greek cuisine. We were warmly welcomed, and Mario, our server, was quite kind. The dinner was so delicious that I completely forgot to snap a photo of it since I was so eager to consume it! So many delicious flavors. You won't be sorry if you stop by Maria's restaurant if you're ever in the Miami area.

Raquel P.

Yelp
Returned to eat here and ordered the Branzino which had an amazing taste. Unfortunately it was not fileted well and had bones but the skin was super crispy. Did not like the lemony potatoes because they were cut too big and they did not serve pita bread which they should have. I can say that the best dessert ever was the Galactobourico which was amazing. Yumm

Jo B.

Yelp
Some of the absolute best comfort food around! Down home, high quality Greek favorites that never disappoint. We personally love the lamb chops! Highly, highly recommend this little gem.

Melissa V.

Yelp
You know when you find a little hidden gem and you just can't believe you didn't know it existed, well that is Maria's! I've been going now for a couple years and it never disappoints. I recommend the chicken platter, it is just made to perfection. But how can I forget to mention their keftedakia appetizer is to die for. Want to go to a little local spot and have delicious Greek food Maria is your place.

B T.

Yelp
I placed a to go order and the restaurant did not follow instructions they did not give me what i payed for or ordered and you can clearly see on the door dash app my order. The woman who answers the phone was so rude and unhelpful she kept denying the kitchen made a error when you can see it on the order history. Never again will I order from here. this is not the only complaint about this issue you can see several reviews on doordash from people missing part of their orders. So unprofessional the staff can not read or follow simple instructions.

Odie C.

Yelp
Great service and quality food! Highly recommended! Great flavor of meat and the potatoes were very soft

Lauren P.

Yelp
The best Greek in Miami... by far. We ordered the gyro platter, chicken kebab platter, hummus (with the freshest pita), and the grilled octopus. The staff and owners are extremely welcoming and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. If you haven't tried this gem, I highly recommend you do!

Claudia A.

Yelp
Amazing. Service awesome. Food absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the eggplant dip.

Vicky S.

Yelp
I ordered takeout and the man who answered the phone was great! They are flexible with additions and he gave me great recommendations. Favs in order: Roasted eggplant w pita: amazing and garicky Gyro platter: hold the fries, Double greek salad +onions, gyro sandwich: slightly soggy in the 15min it took me to get home for kids chicken kebab with rice and fries, chicken was a little dry, fries soggy but the tzatziki was incredible

Michael M.

Yelp
Another great experience. Not the over the top "Trendy -Cool-Miami" place ... but like the "local" extension of you fav aunts kitchen. Always consistent delish food. Family feel and family friendly. Can't ever go wrong with the chicken gyro.. Or the gyro platter. Great friendly service and to be here for over 40yrs one would think they have to be doing something right. They certainly are! Greek Meatballs and the Chicken Gyro platter and you can't go wrong.

Yasmin Q.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here and the food was bland. Most of the food that we ate was a like what you would get from a canned product. We are foodies. I ordered the lentil soup and it was bland it had no consistency. It was oily. The grape leaves were exactly what have you would buy from a supermarket canned grape leaves can. The mouzaka was bland and no taste. We send back our entrees and the manager came back and gave us attitude because she did not like that we did not like what they served us. She was disrespectful and rude. We are born raised in MIA this place sucks! Stay away from this place that is serving food that is not authentic.

Patrick G.

Yelp
outstanding flavor authentic greek best hummus I've ever tasted great service awesome price

Claudia J.

Yelp
This restaurant has been here for many many years. Friendly staff, there is a sign at the entrance.... "Orders may take longer due to short staffing".... understandable Ordered an an appetizer with several spreads: hummus, babaganoush and taramosalata. Spreads were a bit on the chunky side, maybe that's the reason it's spreadable??? Also got the special of the day, they do have a different item every day, it was stuffed tomato and pepper served with potatoes. And a Gyro platter, it came with lamb, greek salad and french fries. The french fries were a bit sad... they needed a bit more frying in order to get a better color and taste. There is a weird smell in the restaurant.

Isady T.

Yelp
First time trying Greek food and it's become one of my faves cuisine now being of this restaurant! The servers were super friendly and helped me decide what to get as a first-timer!

Ana P.

Yelp
Came here for a special celebration dinner with my family. The service was amazing in spite of the fact that they are short staffed. They were spectacular service!! The place was full but we never had to wait too long for anything. The restaurant is very beautiful, clean, nice decor and architecture inside. The food was super tasty, everything came out perfectly as we ordered. We had several entrees and a variety of appetizers for our group of 5. It was excellent meal and experience. Definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant. PS::: if you are looking for work, or know anyone who is looking, they are hiring, they are in great need. Join this awesome team!

Evelio C.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for good authentic Greek food, I highly recommend you check out Maria's Greek restaurant! It is located on a shopping strip in Coral Gables, and parking in the front is pay by phone parking. There are limited spaces, I'm not sure if there's a parking lot in the back. Inside, it's very neat, clean and cozy. Our server was very nice and made recommendations on menu items. We ordered the Gyro sandwich and Chicken Kabob Platter. The sandwich was a genius size compared to going to a Gyro spot and had a great balance of ingredients too. I would get the chicken platter again, it has a great flavor and its a filling meal. Their Tzatziki is AMAZING! You might want to order an extra side of it. For dessert, we tried the rice pudding and Galaktoburico. We loved the Galaktoburico, it's warm custard in between Phylo pastry. It taste similar to bread pudding. I'll definitely be visiting Maria's again soon!

Gabrielle G.

Yelp
Maria's offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, an expansive menu featuring an array of classic Greek dishes (with generous portions) and great service.

Cristina O.

Yelp
Yummmmm! Was starving tonight but exhausted. Didn't feel like cooking but wanted something healthy and delicious. Boy did Maria's hit the spot! I chose the Chicken Kabob Platter with the Greek Salad & Roasted Potatoes which came with pita & tzatziki. Everything was SO, SO good! Very fresh, full of flavor & just perfect

Frank B.

Yelp
Excellent food. Truly a culinary treat for a picky palate. There's a lunch special entree which does not disappoint. Nice table decor. Well worth the drive. The service by Mario and Heidi was above superior. Parking in the rear takes the stress of Pay-by-Phone. Truly worth a weekly visit.

Aracelis B.

Yelp
The wasn't good at all, expensive and also very small portions. We ordered to go the grill octopus was half of a leg for $16.00, the Saganaki was refried, so was very hard to eat. We don't recommend this to anyone, at least to go.

Joe C.

Yelp
Everything was a great experience. Service, food and ambiance were great. We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Jose L.

Yelp
This restaurant is a joke! Horrible food and prices. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Diane T.

Yelp
Good food, attentive service, and fair prices. Comfortable noise level so you can speak to your table mates.

Brion C.

Yelp
I have driven past Maria's Greek restaurant on Coral Way probably hundreds of times over the past dozen years and have never eaten there, until today. I met a friend there at her recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The relative plain facade and not highly decorated interior hides a delicious restaurant. The menu is not fancy and has your usual Greek fare, but the tastes are wonderful and complex and creamy and delicious. We had the roasted eggplant spread, the assorted other spreads (taramosalata, tzatziki and humus) and moussaka. All of the spreads were delicious, especially the taramosalata. And the moussaka was tasty and creamy. Everything was great. I'll go back for sure. And the service and staff were perfect - I knocked over and broke a glass filled with Prosecco - it was cleaned up fast.

Victoria G.

Yelp
I ordered via Postmates a gyro platter with potato and vegetable sides because it was the only options without dairy. Maybe they ran out of sides and automatically replaced it with salad but they never called to confirm. I'm allergic to dairy and when it came delivered the cheese from the salad mixed with the entire platter and was leaking some type of liquid over the entire bag. Including the side of pita which is now soggy. Very disappointing

Albert A.

Yelp
Food is great, service is excellent! And it is quite enough to share a conversation with family. Wonderful spot.

Lucia D.

Yelp
Perfect cooked kabob I got the lamb and great service. Social distancing was respected and I felt safe to be there.

Joe R.

Yelp
Take out was meh. Probably better at the restaurant. Food was ok, just coke by the time it arrived. Good gyro.

Rachel P.

Yelp
So pleased with this place! Decent prices, clean place, quiet/nice ambiance and great food. The gyros were so tasty and the cheese pie was delicious. Food took a little while to come out, considering that there were only 2 tables in the restaurant (including us). But it happens. Would definitely recommend!

Maziel N.

Yelp

Yelp
Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere at good prices!!! Service was friendly and courteous

Cristina H.

Yelp
I had always driven by Maria's but never paid any mind to it, until I heard wonderful reviews about it from friends and family. I'm glad I gave it a try! I am a lover of gyro sandwiches and I immediately knew that was what I'd order. The gyro was very authentic. The lamb was tender and juicy, and perfectly paired with the crunchy lettuce and carrots, and the creamy tzaziki sauce. I also tried the hummus and pita bread as an appetizer. They have the most amazing pita bread! It's thicker and softer than other restaurants. The hummus was great as well. It was full of flavor and super creamy. What is unique about the restaurant is that they serve traditional drinks from Greece. They have Greek wines and beers for every palate. Maria's is a hidden gem. However, if you're looking for authentic and great quality Greek food, you've just found it and I highly recommend it!

Aida A.

Yelp
Visited Maria's Greek Restaurant on a Saturday for an early dinner. Restaurant is small and family owned. Ambience is very cozy and welcoming. The food was good. We had a lentil soup to start, for the main course we had the Chicken Kebob Platter and the Shish Kebob. For dessert we had the Baklava it was fresh and very good. Service was attentive.

Alexandra F.

Yelp
Best Greek Restaurant in Miami. Walking in you forget you are still in Miami. It is very homey and the owners and staff are very friendly. They have been around for years and I've been coming here for over 15 years. They are great for a quick lunch or a nice date night. Their gyro is the best. When I'm trying to be healthy I get the gyro platter which comes with lamb, salad and fries but I get double salad instead. It's healthy and delish. Their hummus is creaming and smooth. I have also tried the lamb chops which are juicy and come off the bone. And for dessert don't forget the baklava. The prices are very affordable the gyro is $9, hummus with pita $7 and platter $14. They have plenty of parking(pay to park) out front on the street. If you haven't been here yet I advised to try them out, you won't be disappointed. Only downside they are closed in Sunday's.

Esther C.

Yelp
I had heard wonderful things about it but had never been able to go. The food was very authentic and. We tried everything from appetizers to desserts and everything was absolutely amazing

Laura C.

Yelp
This restaurant has been here for a long time. The food is always delicious and freshly made. We ordered takeout last night and it was really good. We ordered the gyro sandwiches- they were very tasty. For dessert we ordered the baklava and the Greek yogurt with Greek honey and walnuts. They were both good. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch, dinner and takeout!

Carrie K.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is absolutely delicious, nice relaxed atmosphere and great service ! We ordered a chicken egg lemon soup and stuffed vine leaves (grape leaves) to start, 2 gyro platters and a galact- (forgot the full name of the dessert but it was a delicious custardy thing wrapped in phyllo), along with 2 Greek beers for hubby and 2 Greek white wines for myself. Our total was $81 + tip so everything is very decently priced and portions certainly satisfy! We Will be back for sure!

Meghan M.

Yelp
Maria's is consistently one of the best Greek restaurants I have tried in Miami. Its relatively unassuming and located in a quiet strip mall, but it makes up for its lack of street presence with excellent and attentive wait staff and great food. We had the appetizer combo platter, which comes with hummus, eggplant salad, and tzatiki, delicious homemade feta, and fresh hot pita, with plenty of olives and ripe, red tomato as garnish. We were extremely impressed with the quality of everything listed above and we hadn't even had our main courses! We both had the platters, I had the chicken kabobs and my boyfriend ordered the lamb suvlaki. The meats were well seasoned, great portions, and side options were all delicious- we decided to vary them so we could try a bit of eveything- Greek potatoes, vegetables, and greek salad with plenty more of that delicious feta and those superb quality olives. They don't miss a thing and have great taste from start to finish. I've had consistently awesome experiences here and will continue to return for amazing quality food and friendly, helpful staff.

Josette S.

Yelp
Right on coral way, this Greek restaurant is tucked in one of the older shopping strips. The place is cute and clean. There is street meter parking, so be prepared to parallel park. Now the three stars are because apparently they were short staffed, as there was no buser and the waitress had to do it all. Now, I also think she was the only waitress for the whole place. She did the best she could, so I commend her for keeping her cool thrown the chaos. It took an hour for our food to come out as well. I was so late for work, because of it. I ordered the octopus appetizer. It was pretty good, but I feel it lacked something. I can't put my finger one what, but it did. I won't discard this as an option again, but the service and kitchen speed will need to improve for sure.

David D.

Yelp
Amd once again, this restaurant gets it right! Changed it up a bit this time around. We tried the hummus and gyro wrap to change it up. Love this place. Make sure to check out my other reviews

Turbo Smurf X.

Yelp
Quality food and large portions. Gyro has crispy bits. Chicken is tender, both half roasted and on the skewer. Eggplant dip is garlicky but not overpowering. Minor issue, last time we were there kitchen had no lemons? How do you do mediterranean food with out lemons? When we go for dinner, we always have leftovers, but please don't charge for the extra container of tzatziki, it just seems contrary to the family meal vibe this place once used to have.

Silvia P.

Yelp
I had a chicken kebab platter and it was delicious. Tasted the pitas and hummus and the zucchini croquettes too and they were equally good. Great service and lovely atmosphere that feels like you're in Greece. And if you're looking for work, they're currently hiring!

Ana Maria R.

Yelp
The Hummus is outstanding and so is the Gyro. Dessert was so delicious too. The staff is so welcoming and are happy to answer questions. Nice calm ambience during lunch time too. Can't wait to go back.
