South Boulevard standby where birria gets creative—ramen, fries, and the city’s quesa-birria craze—without losing the soul of the stew. Included in Axios Charlotte’s birria guide; family-run, festive, and satisfying.

Google
This should be 5 stars! The food is the best Mexican food I ever had! I mean EVER I can not exaggerate! The owner helps all her staff and checks on her customers. I would give this place 1million stars if possible. Not the mention the salsa and queso is so rich and made with love not watery like most places I’ve been to.

Google
everything was juicy. I am pleased withheld the birria was packaged I was really worried about the spill the ramen was so good. I didn't need the chips and the salsa but I will be ordering again because I like trying Birria from different restaurants.

Google
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Maria's Mexican Restaurant is hands-down one of the BEST places to eat. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. The Birria Nachos were loaded perfectly and every bite had the right balance of crunch, cheese, and toppings. The Birria Pizza was a fun, creative twist that blew us away. The Birria Ramen Bowl was comforting, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had before—such a unique menu item that really works. And the Birria Chimichanga? Golden, crispy perfection with a filling that was seasoned just right. On top of the amazing food, the service was just as impressive. Friendly, attentive, and you can really feel the pride they take in serving their customers. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can come back again. Highly recommend Maria Tacos—you won’t be disappointed!

Google
This restaurant was on my list of new places to check out! I was excited to try the nachos and ramen. The food looked and smell really good however the taste fell flat for me. I personally wouldn’t come back because I didn’t enjoy my food. I will say the service was quick and the pickup was smooth.

Google
What a disappointment! This place gone downhill significantly. Went in for a simple fajita quesadilla, and the food was subpar. The veggies are still hard, and the thrown together. The flavor was incredibly bland. Dripping oil, even though I asked for no additional oil. It’s been a while since I’ve frequented this establishment, but I won’t be back after this poor presentation and taste.

Google
I can't believe I have never been here. The service is amazing everybody is so nice. The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place we definitely will be back. I had the combination which was a burrito, rice and beans. It was very flavorful and the prices are super reasonable.

First, getting into the parking lot is a nightmare, and then the parking...well, expect to get a door ding or have a tough time getting back into your car. They made the space in between way too narrow. When you walk in, it's small. Much like the parking lot, they tried to pack way too much into too little of space. I've gone twice bc I heard they had great barria options, but the first time I ordered off the regular menu. Guacamole dip, great. Horchata, not so great (watery and weird taste). Mango margarita, fabulous. I saw they had Mole Ranchero and was excited bc I love authentic mole sauce. You can taste that it was from a jar and not authentic. I don't know, the color seemed off too. (See pic for reference) Maybe it was their own recipe, but not a fan of the taste, and the chicken was so dry and chewy, I stopped eating it. If you come here, really only ask for the birria menu, it's what they are known for. The first time was the traditional birria tacos, and they were great. The second time was the birria crunch. This was basically a tostada in between two soft tortillas, the birria meat and cheese. The cheese wasn't melted, the dipping broth tasted almost minty so not good, and it came with fries. The fries were okay, but I remember not liking the rice last time so that's what I went with. Is the birria meat good, yes. Would I venture off their menu to try anything else again, no. Can I get better birria options in the city, you bet. I do like the menu for the birria options bc they give pictures on the back as well This place is not in the best location, it's cramped, I had to find the waitress to ask for a refill, and it's a bit pricey. However, if you are military or police, you get a great discount.

Google
Birria was a complete disappointment. Shrimp was unseasoned, the birria flavorless. Food photos of this place make the food look amazing but it’s literally bare minimum. Gringo dip is literally milk with bean juice. My Mexican grandmother would’ve had a fit had she tried this food. Waitress just rushing to take the order, bring the food and drinks. However the style of the place was nice.

Yelp
Maria's was very nice. I enjoyed my experience here when I visited my city a few weeks ago for a weekend getaway and was informed by a friend that Maria's was the place to go. Was craving something yummy for a late night pick me up before getting my night started in Charlotte. The drink I had was amazing! The food was nice and warm, the vibes pretty good and the atmosphere seemed uplifting. However, I do believe that the location is not ideally the best and the restaurant is not that big and there are lots of tables and chairs for seating in a very tight space. I noticed lots of regulars coming in as they were speaking to the servers so I can tell they've got a nice community atmosphere. The food was delicious! So very good and with the hype but I'm not sure it makes up for how packed the restaurant is. Nonetheless, I appreciate a good hearty meal and this was definitely it!

Yelp
Came here for lunch and the whole table ordered exclusively from the Birria menu. I shared the Birria Sampler Tray ($45) with my spouse, and it was the perfect amount of food, if maybe slightly too much. The standout star was the QuesaBirria, basically just a Birria taco with cheese. It was phenomenal! The burrito was too starchy with the French fries inside, and the BirriaCrunch Quesadilla was hard to dip & eat. Next visit I will just get a couple QuesaBirria. The service was friendly & fast (although we came early at 11:30am on a Monday). The decor is fun & festive. Tables are a little cramped. It's a bit of a drive for us, but i'll def be back when in the area for the QuesaBirria again!

Yelp
The food is fire but for 3 tacos and the lady to forget the man part is crazy but the craziest part is $35 bucks for this I'm from Vegas and that's normal so I'm not to mad but for a hood taco shop to charge these prices they should come back to reality and get back to the taco deals haha

Yelp
Dropped in here months ago, found it from Social media and I will say it was a solid visit. Food was good! It wasn't busy at all, the server was kind and gave some solid recommendations. I didn't get any photos of the food or see much of the restaurant because we sat in the front. It looks like a Good spot to have a larger group Or just grab a quick bite.

Yelp
This place has been o my want to visit list for a while, I finally made it and was not disappointed. The restaurant isn't very big, but the staff is very friendly and helpful and everything was clean. The birria sampler plate was awesome, several different options to try and they were all good. I also enjoyed the tri color chips and salsa, I would definitely come back again and try some of the non birria options as well. Looking forward to my next visit, if you haven't been here but have been thinking about it, it's definitely worth it.

Yelp
If you would like mediocre "Mexican" food with unprofessional/ rude staff- then this is the place for you. The only thing going for them is their social media page- and whoever runs it.

Yelp
Wonderful food. Fast service. Clean. A great spot to stop in for lunch or dinner. Known for the birria dishes!

Yelp
Was visiting charlotte NC and was craving Mexican food . Picked this spot from Google reviews . It was actually good .. we liked the food . Was surprised to see so many vegetarian options. Veggie fajitas was really good . Lots of drink options too. As always Mexican margaritas are the best . Service was good . Food was prepared quick and we got it . Ambience was ok. chicken dish was average . We still liked the overall experience . Liked it .. 4 stars ..

Yelp
I want more people to know about Maria's!!! A coworker and I got a lunch takeout order from Maria's a few weeks ago. I had the Al Pastor tacos which were delicious!!! I really enjoyed the bits of pineapple which was super authentic. I want to come back here and dine in with a big salty marg but in the meantime I would still highly recommend!

Arlene P.

Yelp
It has a nice interior and looks inviting but the food is not the best Mexican cuisine I've had. Additionally , the portions are small for the price and I didn't find the food had a lot of flavor. The food did come quickly and staff was nice and attentive. La comida estaba desabierta.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
The side of beans tasted horrible. We got tacos as well and they had barely any meat and some had onions some didn't it was super uneven and sloppy. The food overall was not good at all for the price. Wouldn't recommend

Yelp
I've seen this place all of instagram, is is definitely an influencer favorite. Birria is very trendy right now and they've made everything Birria. Now I'm going to start this off by saying that my mom absolutely loves this place. Her favorite thing to get is the Birria pizza. I, however, was not crazy impressed. The server was really nice and the restaurant itself is cute, the food got out pretty quickly but the flavor was not there for me. I got the Birria grilled cheese and the consome didn't have any real flavor at all which was disappointing. The grilled cheese itself was just cheese and meat and again, the meat didn't have any depth in the flavor. So it was just bleh to me. I'll probably be back because my mom loves it but I will be trying something that is not Birria. I will update my review if something else ends up being better!

Jorge V.

Yelp
I tried the birriamen and though it tasted good, it gave diarrhea on the way home and had to stop at multiple gas stations to relieve myself

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this restaurant forever. I noticed that it's been in Charlotte for a very long time, so it must be good. They have a great menu with lots of birria for those that enjoy it. We had chicken fajitas, enchiladas, quesabirria, and the fried ice cream. Everything was delicious, except for the rice, which I found bland and a very strange neon orange color. The fried ice cream was unlike any I've ever had, the presentation was very different, but it was delicious and had wonderful flavors of cinnamon and honey. The restaurant was super clean and inviting, the service was good, and we are excited to return. That birria grilled cheese has my name on it.

Yelp
We weren't greeted upon entry and immediately seated in a booth! The booth is definitely in need of refurbishing. There is a partial menu on the table with a QR code to access the full menu. There are beautiful vibrant handpainted flowers on the building and booths. My Mom decided on the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and I ordered the #27 Quesataco Combo with Birria and Chicken Birria with Rice and Beans. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! My Mom was only able to eat one quesadilla! The Birria was cheesy and flavorful! Our server was very attentive throughout our experience! Overall the food was delicious and I will return when I'm in the area!

Yelp
"How do you solve a problem named Maria(s)?" Seems like God has already provided me with the answer, or a partial one at least... My friend recommended that we meet here for the real deal birra over a year ago. We never made it. But here I am, with two hours ahead of me and an empty belly. I remember the restaurant is in the area and pleasantly discover it's not far. Before I'm settled, warm chips and salsa makes it to my table. Chips weren't salted but because they are warm they accept a sprinkle or two. I keep my order simple. A margarita, a coke and two birra tacos. They don't serve regular coke, so she offered a Mexican one instead. All I can say is, "thank you Lord!" that I haven't tried this place before today. For the past two years, my daughter works out twice a week literally right around the block. Had I known how great Maria's is, I'd have been here sooner AND at least three times a week! But the Lord saves me when I can't save myself! My daughter will be training in another state all summer long so I don't have to worry about gaining 30 lbs this summer because of the over consumption of birra. I will tackle the problem again in the fall when she gets back!

Yelp
-100 Stars - Don't Even THINK About It Maria's Mexican Restaurant - 5230 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28217 Man, LISTEN... we pulled up to Maria's Mexican Restaurant off the strength of some reviews -- and I promise you, whoever wrote those had to be drunk, high, lost, or held hostage. This place? ABSOLUTE TRASH. From the second we walked in, the energy was off. Like walking into a waiting room where flavor and hospitality went to die. Staff moving like they just clocked in for a shift they already gave up on. No "hello," no welcome, no smile -- just dry faces and dead vibes. But oh, it gets worse. Let's talk about this "food": * Took forever to come out -- I'm talkin' "sent a pigeon to Mexico and waited for the reply" levels of slow. * Came out cold like it missed the microwave rotation. * ZERO seasoning. ZERO effort. ZERO love. * Straight up disrespect on a plate. I wouldn't feed this to a raccoon in a back alley. And just when I thought it couldn't get more insulting, guess who strolls out? Maria herself. Now look -- I wasn't expecting fireworks and an apology parade, but when I mentioned the lackluster service and trash food, Maria stood there looking completely unbothered. Like I was the problem. Real nonchalant, like, "Oh well." No accountability. No apology. No urgency. Just that "take it or leave it" attitude like she was doing me a favor by ruining my night. Ma'am, this is YOUR name on the door. How you show less passion than the waitstaff that don't even wanna be there? That told me everything I needed to know. Let me be clear -- the ONLY thing hitting was the drinks. So yeah, if you just wanna get a buzz and leave with an empty stomach and regret in your soul, pull up. Sip your little margarita. Then go eat somewhere that actually gives a damn. Because Maria's? Nah. I've had better food off a paper plate at a church parking lot. I've had gas station nachos that made me feel more alive. This place is a waste of real estate, a waste of time, and a culinary crime scene. If I could give it -100 stars, I would. And I'd subtract another 100 just for that dry "I-don't-care" energy Maria brought to the table. Maria's at 5230 South Blvd, Charlotte needs a health inspection, a reality check, and a whole new management team. But until then? RUN. Don't walk. RUN THE OTHER WAY. And don't ever look back.

Yelp
I've been coming to Mary's since college, and it still tastes just as delicious as the first time I visited! The food is always quick to come out, well seasoned. They never disappoint!
google avatar

Celine B.

Yelp
The food is delicious. My strawberry margarita was just right. Our server was so sweet and attentive the entire time we were there despite the chaos for Cinco de Mayo weekend. The tables are a bit close for comfort but the restaurant is pretty small so I didn't mind it that much.

Lexie B.

Yelp
This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've ever been. Great vibe! The tacos were deliciously stuffed with cheese and seasoned tender pork serve served with a generous cup full of consume.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic, delicious Birria, Maria's is the place to be! We came for lunch and really enjoyed everything we tasted. The atmosphere is cozy and homey and feels familiar. We ordered a ton of their birria dishes and loved every one of them! They also have an extensive menu of other great Mexican food staples, so there's something for everyone.
google avatar

Abby L.

Yelp
Maria's serves authentic Mexican food with lots of flavor. The salsa is absolutely delicious, but they only provide tiny portions of it, I'm not sure if more is extra $ or not. I tried the birria ramen, and while it was really good, the portions of noodles and meat were too small. Adding extra noodles for $2 is worth it to make the dish more satisfying and filling. The steak is cooked well, and the birria tacos are another highlight and packed with flavor. The service is quick and friendly, which makes the overall experience enjoyable. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant off of south boulevard. The food was great and it was nicely decorated. The drinks were good. Staff were professional and able to make reviews of items. There is a parking lot it's a bit bumpy so drive slow. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

gavin t.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, the quality of food has declined significantly in the last 3 years, the consume is starting to get watered down (rather then more beef fat and flavor), when I explained this to one of the waitresses she says " it's supposed to taste like soup", yet it tastes like watered down bitterness, they gave more consume and it was still extremely watered down for some reason, service isn't terrible, just some slips still within the business. The consume just needs a bit of salt, I hope they are more consistent, just wasn't as good as usual :(

Yelp
Went to Maria's for the first time today. We decided to do take out. We arrived at 5:30 we did not get our order until 6:45. We watched atleast two parties come in after us receive their food and leave. After my husband complained for the second time, we were handed our food and didn't even receive an apology for the inconvenience. The food was average. If we were to give Maria's another try we would choose to dine in to see if the service is better and if the food will taste better because it's fresh.

Yelp
I love exploring little mom and pop shops and hole in the wall places. This was one of them and overall I was pleased. Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Our waitress was attentive and helpful and checked on us/made sure we had refills/made sure we had enough napkins etc. Love that. Food was good. Tried the birria nachos, birria ramen, birria taco, carne asada taco, and carnitas taco. So the food wasn't bad but it wasn't mind blowing. I feel like the carne asada and carnitas taco lacked some flavor and the proteins were a bit dry. The rest was fine. The nachos, taco, and ramen birria were loaded! They are certainly not stingy with their protein. I had the drink special, frozen peach margarita... it was delicious! I'm glad I tried this place and would go again but not anytime soon. Also, there was an older waitress, short black/white hair that was all kinds of rude to the other workers and customers. It looked like she was overwhelmed and agitated. Someone should have sent her to catch her breath and chill bc her behavior and energy were negative, impacting the feel for the experience. I felt awful for the staff she was being rude to. Someone check her!

Emily L.

Yelp
Our server was extremely friendly, everything came out fast. Restaurant is clean. We got the queso chorizo, quesabirria and rice and beans, everything was exceptional!!! Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican.

Scott P.

Yelp
This has to be one of the worst places for food. Ordered three meals, took forever to get service and an order placed. Enchiladas, cheese. Had better crud at a bar serving frozen mozzarella sticks. They were cold, and tasted of cheap mozzarella. WITAF? The Chile relleno...a pile of cold ground beef with two strips of pepper...not poblano or Anaheim, green bell. Craptastic is the best you'd ever describe it. Rice...wow. yellow. That's it, yellow and crunchy. The jalapeño margarita, bottom shelf everything, mix was way too sweet...no jalapeños. Ambiance was typical tex-mex in colors and decor. Wow...I'd rather eat at taco bell and I lived in Texas for 15 years...crap food, crap service. Waste of money. I would give minus stars if allowed.

Yelp
Well, it helps to research a restaurant and give them a try. I had never really noticed this restaurant near the corner. On a Saturday evening, we arrived just before the crowd really picked up. We were a party of 8 and a set of tables were joined in the back to accommodate us. Service was excellent. Our first waitress was very nice but had a mishap in the back and left unexpectedly. She was quickly replaced by another friendly and helpful staff member. I to tried the Birrias Grilled Cheese. I will give it a 3/5. A member of our party ordered the ChoriPollo and it looked delicious. I was told that it was as better as it looked and was topped with Chorizo. This will be my next menu selection to try. Maria's has a full bar. I saw a strawberry margarita special online but opted for the classic. Later, I saw they had Christmas drink specials. My drink didn't have any kick, wasn't served in a Margarita glass, and should have had a salted rim. Online, there were many drink options and food options that were not shown on the two-page menu we were given when seated. It would have been nice to have a full drink and food menu. Or, to have the waiter give you the full run-down. You will definitely want to check online to ensure your selected options are the best for you.

Yelp
Stopped by last minute with my daughter for a quick bite in the middle of the day. First thing to mention -- the restaurant was freezing inside, so definitely bring a sweater if you go. The food seemed pre-made; we ordered the birria, and it came out almost instantly, but unfortunately, it was cold. The waitress didn't seem very happy to be there, which added to the overall unwelcoming vibe. The place was mostly empty, and the atmosphere felt a bit off. Sadly, the food wasn't very flavorful either. Probably won't be returning.

Yelp
The food is excellent. They specialize in birria and it's always so good. The service could be a bit better but overall it was good. We had two and went on a Friday night and had no wait.

Yelp
Overall experience: 6/10 So I saw this restaurant on TikTok reviewed by Mr.Chimetime. Everybody's taste is different but judging by how he was raving about this place I thought I'd give it a try. I tried the Birria Ramen bowl: 4/10 Quesabirria taco 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 shrimp: the beef 4/10, chicken 10/10, shrimp 8/10 And the Gringo Dip 7/10 This is my first experience with Birria and the beef did not hit. Honestly tho, I feel like maybe somebody half stepped in the kitchen and forgot to add a few ingredients (I.e salt amongst them all). I truly feel like the beef would be good maybe on another day just today wasn't it. It wasn't bad but it really lacked flavor. And the consume just didn't add any extra pizzazz tho make it any better. . I thought that even tho the Birria taco was wack, the ramen surly couldn't be bad with it sitting and stewing in the juices.............. Wrong. The flavors just weren't developed in the Birria today. However!!!!......that chicken. WOW!! The chicken was so flavorful I had to buy another one. Super juicy and super flavorful. Whatever they did to the chicken, they need to do to the beef. Omg. I may have to spin the block on that one again. The shrimp Birria was really good as well. Big juicy pieces of shrimp and grilled to perfection. Chefs kiss!! The only reason I give this a 8/10 is because I feel it just needed a lil something more to put it over the top. Some kind of kick. But it's super delicious. The gringo dip was cool. It's a basic white queso dip just with some beans in it. I wish Mexican restaurants would make homemade hearty dip with real ingredients. This just tastes like melted cheese and nothing more. Service was cool I guess. Nothing spectacular to brag about but not enough to complain about either. They have moderate parking and it's free. They have a sign in the window that says "We do not give refunds on food or drinks" so I guess be sure you know you want what you order cause you will be stuck with it.

Yelp
I was in the mood to try somewhere new for Taco Tuesday and popped into this place at the urging of a friend. Unassuming on the outside and tight and warm on the inside but I appreciated the artwork on the booths. It was packed so clearly it's popular! I specifically wanted to try the birria tacos (chicken version). I nearly filled myself up on the complimentary chips and salsa first! The chips were thin and crispy and the salsa had a great fresh tomato base and a kick of spice. The refried beans and rice that came with the tacos were mid. Both could have use a lot more seasoning and the beans were a bit too smooth. I'm an extreme texture person though soooo.... Anyway the tacos....they arrived piping hot. YAY! The shells had a wonderfully charred, crispy exterior and were filled to the brim with chicken and the gooiest cheese you can imagine. Onions gave a nice crunch and extra flavor. The chicken was tender and juicy and the birria sauce was rich and savory with a hit of cilantro. Perfect for dipping the tacos in it. The shell remained intact, even though I repeatedly dipped the tacos in that sauce up to my fingertips with each bite. I'm so glad I found this family run establishment and plan to go back and try other items because I eyed an insane plate of nachos on another patron's plate that had my name written all over it.

Yelp
My daughter loves Mexican food and this place had mostly rave reviews. The ambiance was nice and relaxing, service was good, the hostess and waitress were excellent but the food was flavorless and the Margaritas were not what you typically get when you're at such an authentic Mexican Restaurant. The birthday girl didn't even eat or drink anything
google avatar

Yelp
We beat the Sunday rush and we were immediately seated. The staff was super friendly and we were served quickly. I came to try the birria that I've seen on my IG. We ordered the California birria burrito, steak quesadillas, and a kid's plate of chicken and rice. We demolished our food, it was all delicious. The birria was messy but well worth it!

Yelp
After a long day of moving, my friend and I decided to grab a quick lunch at Maria's Mexican Restaurant. Tye service was quick. The atmosphere was pleasant, and it was a nice spot for a little lunch date. However, I found the portion sizes to be on the smaller side. It was enough to satisfy for lunch, but if you're looking for a more filling meal, you might leave wanting more. Overall, it was a decent spot for a quick bite.

Yelp
So delicious! Great atmosphere and fast service with awesome recommendations. The food was top notch and very flavorful! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed Maria's! We came by late on a Sunday night around 9pm. We were so happy they were open. We were seated immediately. It's an older establishment, you can tell, but it's clean and the staff was really nice and attentive! I ordered a quesa Birria taco, chicken taco and carne asada taco. All 3 were fire. I don't think I've ever had a more flavorful taco. They seasoned seasoned that meat you hear me!!!! Lowkey they should teach seasoning classes at this point, cause their chef clearly knows what they're doing. My fav taco was the Birria of course, because who doesn't love a good dunk sauce for anything lol. It was also super filling. We think we have a new regular taco spot for sure! Next time we want to try all the other Birria options. Their menu is massive! So many yummy food options. We also saved room for dessert and ordered the fried ice cream....y'all this ice cream stood not a chance against us. We cleaned the plate it was soooo good! Nice sweet treat to end the meal. What I also loved about this spot is that you can tell it's run by family and they made us feel like family while we were there. We really enjoyed this spot and will be back often.

Yelp
On this nice Saturday evening let me tell yall how lazy unwelcoming this restaurant is , family came from out of town we wanted something new ... party of 6 with a toddler ... calm family not loud just wanted some food . We where unable to be seated was turned around at the door , it was apparently to many of us to be seated on tonight ... do not recommend if you are in a large group !!!! Very disappointed at the service !

Yelp
The food is delicious here! My friend and I ordered a few things to sample together. I ordered the Birria Pizza. The Pizza came out hot with marinated shredded beef, gooey cheese and flaky crust. This also came with dipping sauce which was also very good. The highlight of the meal and definitely recommend! My friend ordered the Birria Cheese dip-it was so yummy with cheese, marinated Birria beef and served with tortilla chips. Verdict- very good and highly recommend. My friend also ordered Maria Parrillada. This was served with steak, shrimp and chicken which she said was delicious. Last I ordered a Mango Pina Margarita (with or without alcohol) sweet, cold and refreshing. Highly recommended! The service was great! Our server was so nice and quick. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. I would highly recommend Maria's and whenever you go tell them Lawana sent you!

Yelp
We had a large party walk-in and were greeted quickly. We were seated and spoke with our server in a matter of seconds of arriving to our table and given chips and salsa. We ordered a host of different things, from quesadillas to Barria Tacos and Ramen. We all loved everything we ordered. The portions were large and we had plenty of food to take home. Our server was quick and knowledgeable as well. We loved the small homey feel of the dining room.

Yelp
The food was great and nicely priced. Had the chicken taco salad and it was flavorful and tasty. My boyfriend had the chicken birra crunch wrap and wasn't as pleased with it. The wrap was soggy and keep falling apart. Was presented like the menu picture showed. Service was good as she kept going over to the table and checking on us. Kept our waters full which was good. Music and people weren't to loud in the restaurant and it was clean. Would visit again and recommend!

Yelp
Maria's is delicious. Has a fair price: a fun inventive menu surrounding the Birria trend and also has its own tradicional Mexican menu . Every-time I visit the food is as delicious and the last and chips and salsa are complimentary. Bathroom is always clean server is always present and since I always go during lunch time , there's always plenty of space for sitting as well as parking. If you are in the mood of Good Mexican food, come here. I have had the Birria tacos ( a must try) and the burritos also SO good! Funny enough their rice and beans is what gets me... so flavorful, I'd be happy eating here even if all I had was the rice and beans. Their drinks are good also. Stop by and let me know what you think.

Yelp
Food is good. But the service sucks and ruins the experience. I know Mexicans aren't lazy people but for some reason you will finish your whole meal before they give you a second drink even if it's alcohol. Mine boggling because they would have made way more off me including tip if they would have just given me more drinks instead of making me sit there for 20 minutes at a time with an empty glass.

Yelp
Walked in around 3:30pm on a rainy day. It took them few minutes for them to see/seated me. Quite a few females there having a girls day out. I ordered the birria Ramen bowl with one taco.. Couldn't find a mojito on the menu. So I asked if they can make me one. Yes of course they did. And it was good. They were heavy handed with the liquor. I truly enjoyed my visit. My waitress was really nice. She apologized for not having chopsticks for my ramen.. I'll have to remember to bring my own next time.. But a good place to be for some comfort food and heavy handed drinks.

Yelp
I ordered the queso birria taco and a drink. The birria was soggy wet. Only a little bite a cheese but was loaded with beef meat. I didn't enjoy this at all. Definitely needs More cheese and drain the beef juice so the taco can be crispy and not wet. My services was nice With the prices they charge they NEED upgrade the inside. It is in desperate need of an update. Social media hyped this place up. I've had better. Won't be back. I don't like wet tacos :(

Yelp
I love Maria's I want to gift card and decided to take my son there and we had a good time. I also enjoyed seeing Maria's at the recent Yelp event. Friendly staff they do whatever they can to get you seated. The food is decent. The bartenders are great, and the drinks are very well poured. It has a traditional style, ambience and setting.

Yelp
We usually go to Azteca Mexican restaurant but thought we would try Maria's. Mostly everything was Birria style red sauce. The California burrito was not a typical but appeared fried. Overall not a great experience. Price was about 20% less than Azteca which is a 5 out of 5. Service was good Ambiance not so good, time for a remodel
