Best Holiday Christmas Bars and Pop-Ups in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Beware of booby traps! Marietta’s accessible, family-friendly favorite pays homage to both Home Alone and Home Alone 2 this year, with the return of the doorknob heater and new features like Marv the burglar’s famous electrocution, tributes to New York City’s Plaza Hotel, and plenty of pigeons (and birdseed, too). And of course, the pinball machine gallery is a year-round opportunity to show off some retro gaming tricks." - Su-Jit Lin

The Most Instagrammable and Beautiful Desserts in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"When you want a classic state fair treat without the state fair experience, Marietta Melt Yard has got your back. The lively restaurant serves burgers and tacos, but the fried Oreos, served crispy and golden brown with a side of vanilla ice cream, end the meal on a (very) sweet high note. The burgers here are also over-the-top and bring a bit of drama on their own, and there are plenty of other totally extra desserts to try at Marietta Melt Yard, beyond the fried Oreos." - Lia Picard

Loved the vibe and atmosphere! Great location for a hangout! The decor is totally retro! Service is great and quick The food is a mix and almost typical diner Or carnival style food! Great for teens and young kids. They have a great arcade and games It was a nice family experience for us

Google
Awesome spot. Great atmosphere, cool bar, kid friendly, great service, delicious food, and a cool retro game room with several pinball machines and a couple of arcade video games. The three of us were out for burgers and we're not disappointed. Several burgers to choose from as well as several other tasty sounding sanwiches/melts, and other goodies. I had the Meltdown burger with pimento cheese and caramelized onions and added jalapeños. Yum! I will say the burger patties could be better and smashed a bit more to get caramelized edges and maybe additional seasoning. But they were good burgers regardless. Fries were hot and delicious. Will have desert next time as there were tasty floats, etc to pick from. Will definitely be going back to try other dishes.

Great food, we inhaled it! Not pictured is the hot pretzel and dip, that was delicious, and we ate it too fast to get a picture. We arrived just after 5 p.m. and had the place pretty much to ourselves other than a couple of other tables. The server was great, bubbly, and knew what items were top rated. They play MTV throwback videos on the screens, and it had me jamming and reminiscing about my high school days. Great vibe. Loved the pinball machines, especially loved the Simpsons coin game. Family friendly and a good low-key place for a casual date.

Loved everything about this place! The old school music videos. The breeze from outside! I had the tots and a cease wrap. The tots had the perfect crisp! My sister really enjoyed the smash burger (: we will be BACK!

Nice place! I got the MMY Melt (standard patty melt) and it was good. i loveeeeee their fries and the bbq sauce was really good. they have an arcade center so it’s great for kids. very cool atmosphere. i will def be back. burgers are little pricey about $15 plus $4-6 for fries or other side but oh well. i enjoyed my food.

Google
This place should definitely rate waaay better than 4.3! We're 8 year food truck/restaurant owners and actully very hard to please when it comes to food and this place was great! Loved our 'truck burger' and tots! Such a nice place with a great vibe. Emma Grace was our server and such a pleasure with a great attitude and service. Met one of the owners, Justin who took the time to chat, Super nice guy! Don't hesitate to stop here and grab a bite and a cocktail. Thanks for the hospitality guys, you're doing it right!

Google
Great retro bad and restaurant. The food is amazing but not cheap. I loved the arcade. Only complaint I have is the smash burger is just a regular burger not even remotely smashed, but it tasted great so it is what is.

The appetizers are always served fast, fresh and hot. I've never tried the same meal twice (because there is such a good variety) but the fish tacos, burgers, chicken sandwich, tots and sweet potato fries with marshmallow dip have all been delicious! I highly recommend the chicken dip and fried pickle appetizers! We have also tried their featured drinks and they've all been yummy. The drink photo is a Shot Through The Heart!

Yelp
We started with Buffalo chicken dip and chips. We expected melted fake cheese but this was the real deal: shredded chicken perfectly blended with seasoning and sauce & a generous portion of fresh chips. The grilled fish taco was a traditional size with lettuce, cilantro (you can ask for without). The elote corn was topped with cotija cheese. It was a little too soupy but not so much that I wouldn't order it again. My kiddo got the fish and chips which were perfectly flaky on the inside with a delicious non-greasy crunch on the outside. The fries have a scrumptious seasoning. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak which had a remoulade on top. He really enjoyed it. The service was outstanding! Jerome was attentive, gave great suggestions and was friendly. He timed the food perfectly and kindly offered us to-go drinks. The ambiance is fun and festive. They are decorating with a beach theme and have a fantastic array of music playing (with corresponding music videos on the screens). Such a great atmosphere!! We'll be back!

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere but it it would be great as a bar and only a bar on KSU campus. The food was awful. I had heard good and bad but the menu looked good We order some pretzels with pimento cheese queso for an appetizer and Buffalo chicken/fries and Turkey club/fried w queso for lunch. I should say that I do not salt food ever. Usually food at restaurants is over salted anyway. The pretzels were clearly from frozen and the pimento cheese sauce was bland and definitely did not have a pimento cheese flavor. It was also way too thin to stick to the pretzels. Both of us had a hard time eating the lunch. The sour dough bread was good but nothing else had flavor. The queso tastes closer to glue than cheese and went uneaten after trying it. The fries were doughy with little flavor (no salt on table either...but that gets into the service) and sadly even blue cheese was bad and ended up tasting like a Tabasco sandwich. I didn't get much out of my guest about the club because it went almost uneaten. After we left she said she would never go back. The server was so nice. And that's the nicest thing I could say. She brought out drinks. Then app. Then meals. Outside of that she was never at our table to fill drinks until we were about to leave. It wasn't just that she never came to our table. It was that she wasn't ever out in the dining room which always leads you to believe they can't use their phones on the floor so they stay in the kitchen but that's my speculation. Finally the price. After tip it was about $70! Seriously! Way way way over priced for what we got. I wouldn't even go back if it was half the price though. It was terrible.

Yelp
We came here around 12:30pm on a Saturday and were seated pretty quickly. There were a lot of families here so it's very family friendly. They still had the Home Alone Christmas decorations up all throughout the restaurant. If you have hips and thighs like me, the white chairs probably won't be that comfortable so I recommend sitting in the red chairs. I ordered the truck burger with fries and my partner ordered the patty melt with tater tots. The fries tasted old and dry so I sent those back for tater tots because my partners tater tots tasted way better. I think the tater tots were fresh though. They were excellent. The truck burger was like an orgasm in my mouth. Each bite left me wanting more and the cheese and secret sauce was absolutely perfect with the smash patties! I live 40 minutes away from this restaurant and would easily drive to this place often to get this amazing burger. Of course I tried my partners patty melt and it was delicious as well. The cheese was exceptional on there but the truck burger was definitely the star here. The melt yard margarita was pretty good, so I got two! I will return.

Yelp
Honestly, this wasn't the place for me. I tried the pimento cheese balls and fried pickles someone else at my table ordered and they give you a ton of very breaded pickles with a single 1/3 filled little thing of ranch. Like, the pickle going in all the way being submerged maybe 1/10th the size of the pickle lol it was honestly just comical looking. The pimento balls were overcooked but there was a ton of bacon to go around. The bacon was good, very crispy. The server we had maybe didn't like us or was having a bad day? She seemed upset every time she came by and never once smiled. A couple people at my table had questions because the menu wasn't clear but she either didn't answer them or didn't know the answer so it was strange The little Nero cheese pizza is not pizza like on home alone. It's actually a flatbread made with some kind of thick dough? Basically, not what you'd expect so the person ordering it at our table ended up asking for something else instead which ended up taking so long to prepare we were all done eating. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and idk who thinks that is Nashville style but it was basically a very vinegary bbq sauce dripping off the heavily breaded fried chicken. The tater tots were good though. Mine were crispy and soft inside but another person at the table ended up with entirely burnt ones. I also heard the chicken Caesar wrap wasn't that great either. One of my table mates got the fried Oreos and loved them and mentioned it being a great deal although everyone agrees they should come with some sort of sauce for how much breading there was. They really like breading at this restaurant. Another person got the cotton candy cheesecake and this was the best thing I tried here although texture was softer than id expect on a cheesecake. The flavor was on point, very sweet and tasted just like cotton candy. Christmas theme was cute, very pretty and decor was well done. Brunch menu had so few choices, none of us ended up ordering off of it. Cute decor but just not my restaurant. There was plenty of parking though.

Yelp
The atmosphere was super fun but we sat for 15 minutes before being greeted and receiving drinks. Our server was not apologetic. My sandwich came cold and was probably ready and sat before the other 3 guests in our party received their food. Definitely expected more for an $86 lunch on a weekday.

Yelp
I went back with a group for lunch around 11:30. I wasn't having very high expectations from last time. So maybe during the week around 11:30 is the time to go.It was like night and day. I got the turkey sandwich and it was great! The service was excellent.. so I guess this means I'm gonna have to come back for a third time for the tie breaker..

Yelp
Finally got to try Melt Yard tonight. It was very good! I love the decor. It is themed like a food truck and it works. The service was efficient and fast. Our server checked on us and we never had to ask for more water - she was already there with refills. The menu is simple but unique. I got a delicious grilled cheese sandwich called the Hollywood. It was a blend of several cheeses on sourdough bread. It was soft and creamy with a little crunch. I could not finish it all (but I wanted to!). I got the sweet potato waffle fries as my side. They come with marshmallow dipping sauce. It really worked. My husband got a burger and loved it. He said the favor combo of the sweet onions and pickles was tasty. Now that we've tried Melt Yard, we will be back!

Yelp
Today we visited the Marietta Melt yard for the first time. There were two of us there and our reviews are mixed. The inside is fine. It seems like there's less seating and it feels less Homie than it did previously (as a different restaurant). We started with the magic wings. I thought they were great because they were super crispy and I liked the rub versus a messy sauce. I like wings but not the mess so this was a good fit for me. My boyfriend just thought they were so so. He had a patty melt and thought it was fine. He did not like the sweet potato fries and really did not like the marshmallow fluff sauce that came with them. They were two dollar up charge in a little bit of a disappointment. I had the truck burger and was pleased. I added bacon and extra pickles! Yum!!

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday night -- the wait was 45 mins, but we chose to be sat immediately at a high top behind the bus. Yeah, don't do that. They will forget about you. It was probably a 90 minute dinner, and maybe a total of ten seconds of that involved the waitresses actually talking to us. Felt rushed from them, no real sense of service.. so bad taste to start with, and that's before we even tasted anything. As for the food, the Meltdown burger was nothing to remember. The cheese and grease were competing over which one could strangle you more with each bite, and by the end of the burger, you're exhausted. I'd like to say if I got something else on the menu, I would've had a better experience, but I'm sure the greasiness makes it way around to all the plates...

Yelp
"I'll stop the world and melt with you!" Drop into this newly welcomed establishment and you'll be transported to a food-truck Mecca atmosphere, complete with pinball machines, insta-worthy retro decor, a projection screen displaying movies du jour, an airstream-turned bar area, and some of the tastiest elevated food truck-style food you'll find this side of the Perimeter. (Let's face it - us OTPers need more places like this and less corporate chains in our neighborhood!) Menu highlights: - pretzel bites served with pimento queso rather than your traditional beer cheese. - hummus: (pro-tip) ask for a side of veggies on this one! - apple crisp salad: the sweet onion vinaigrette is the chef's kiss. - truck stop taco: modeled after their truck stop burger, it is elevated simplicity, just the way the taco gods intended. - sweet potato waffle fries: served with marshmallow dipping sauce. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. - spark plug milkshakes: I'm not one to indulge in sweets often, but you'll catch me stealing a sip - or three - from my daughter's otero milkshake, topped with candy bits and baubles. Booze I'll preface that you can't go wrong with the drinks here. The ambient bar delivers on fun, funky and creative cocktails. Some are served up in tiki cups and some are garnished with thoughtfully crafted additions to the respective drinks. I also applaud their focus on amplifying local beer options. Super family friendly, but it seems to appeal to just about every audience. Wide-spread of age demographics every time I go. Given this establishment only opened a few months ago, it is inevitable to run into kinks of some capacity. That said, any kink or first world problem inconvenience I've encountered has been resolved by the next time I visit. It is clear they're taking feedback to heart and doing absolutely everything the can to ensure they embody their ethos to create a dining experience where "Food is Fun".

Yelp
My new favorite burger spot! Saw it on Instagram and decided to give it a shot. Food: The burgers are so fresh and yummy! They come out hot and you can tell the beef isn't frozen or reheated. The buns are soft and delicious (you'd be surprised how many stale buns I've gotten from burger places). They have a good menu. My son enjoyed the wings and fries. The milkshakes were good. I'm picky about my ice cream. So, I didn't LOVE the ice cream, but it wasn't bad. I'll try the fried Oreos next time. BRUNCH: Decided to try brunch as well. Had the chicken and waffles. My pics aren't great but here are my mixed thoughts... The chicken was good, hot, and covered in syrup. The waffle looks good but isn't great. It was dense, room temperature, and stale/tough. I STRONGLY suggest cooking the waffles to order. These were either frozen or reheated. The grits were fine, a little runny. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend their lunch/dinner menu. There's still some work to do on brunch, but I'm hopeful it will get there. Service and Atmosphere: Love the atmosphere. It's fun with lots of tvs and great music from the 90s and 2000s. There's a garage door they pull up and the dining room flows right to the patio. The servers are generally really nice. Most of them have been very friendly and attentive. Even the ones who weren't super friendly have been bad. It's just a couple really stand out! Location/Parking: Not far from the Marietta Square (downtown). Located in a plaza. There's plenty of free parking. Prices: The prices were fine for the quality. No complaints.

Yelp
I finally visited Marietta Melt Yard. They are a fairly new business located in Marietta off Whitlock. And I was in the area and met up with some friends and we decided to check them out for lunch. I'll start off by saying we loved the atmosphere! It was a really cool set up where you can just chill and hang out. Since the day was nice we sat outside on the patio. They had the garage doors up so it was really great. They also have a game room with some games that can be played which we thought was pretty cool. The retro van that's apart of the bar is pretty neat too. As far as the food and drinks go, we ordered a number of different things. There were a number of drinks I wanted to try, but I opted for the Paloma and they add a shot to the Jarritos bottle in which I got tequila. It was a decent drink as I could taste the alcohol which I like lol, but wasn't that strong. We also ordered the Blue Devil Capri sun and the Fuzzy Peach on the Beach. They were out of pouches so that drink came in a glass. My friend said it was good. She also got the Passion punch, but said it was just ok. My other friend enjoyed the Fuzzy Peach on the Beach and said it was really good. We got some appetizers which happened to be half off to start us off. We got the Buffalo chicken dip and the pimento cheese balls. Both were pretty good, but nothing too special. I'm not a fan of pimento cheese but I did like the pimento cheese balls surprisingly. It was nice and cheesy and I did enjoy the bacon jam. They were a smidge greasy, but still good. For the meals we got the MMY patty melt, gosh tacos, and the chicken tinga tacos. I mean it is called the Melt Yard so I couldn't not get the patty melt lol. The patty melt was ok, but I felt could have used a tad bit more seasoning in my opinion. I did enjoy the caramelized onions and Swiss cheese on it. Definitely gave patty melt. My friends overall enjoyed their tacos, but felt they needed a little more sauce on them. Lastly we got the funnel cake bites and those were pretty good. The service was good and our waitress was nice in recommending some options for us as we could've decide. There were no issues with customer service which makes for an enjoyable experience. Overall it was average in my opinion, but wasn't bad. As mentioned earlier we really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. It's definitely family friendly which is always nice to have within the local community. I know they have certain specials and nights throughout the week and weekend so definitely check them out and support this local business.

Yelp
Their food is great. Beer on tap provides local breweries. Their service is just as good as everything else.

Yelp
Came in on a busy Thursday night during the holidays (they said it would be a 45 min. wait for a table for two of us, but we found seats at the bar. The wife ordered a Christmas-themed drink that was very tasty and I'm sure had a normal pour of liquor, but was mostly ice served in a small wine glass for $13. The wife ordered a "Holiday" sandwich with turkey, a cranberry spread, Brie, etc. The meat seemed to be regular deli slices and all of it was concentrated on one side of the sandwich. The other side was bread and condiments. The tots were good, but lukewarm. I ordered tacos. The fried fish taco had good flavor, but it definitely had been sitting in the kitchen window awhile. Same with the fried chicken Pimentaco. I had to look inside the tortilla to see if there was any pimento cheese,, as the flavor didn't come through when I tasted it. The veggie taco was the most flavorful and the warmest of the three. It had a good portion of veggies and a nice balsamic taste. The staff was pleasant, but while they checked in on us, no one (including the manager who said goodnight to us) asked if/how much we enjoyed the meal. Had they, I'd probably have mentioned the food temps. The place is clean and has a nice ambiance. I might go back for a beer and an appetizer, but I doubt we'd order a full meal again.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this restaurant in Marietta because they offered burgers and specialty melts. They are located in a strip shopping center at the corner of Whitlock Ave and Burnt Hickory Rd. Ample parking is available for patrons. We were getting a late lunch and the restaurant was empty with the exception of a group of six women having a celebration meal and two patrons at the bar. We were advised to pick a table and the manager/owner greeted us and brought menus to us. The restaurant is large and has ample tables for diners. There are multiple roll-up doors that open to the outside and all were open on the day of our visit. We started with an appetizer of Buffalo chicken dip and house-made chips. The dip was spicy and tasted good. It looked like it had been heated in a microwave in the serving container. The chips were fairly good and seemed fresh. We were told by the manager that the melts and burgers were their best sellers so we decided to try one of each and split them. My wife ordered the Meltdown burger which is two smash patties, pimento cheese, bacon, and grilled onions on a toasted bun. The waitress did not ask the temperature for the burgers or the patty melt and they were served well done. She selected tater tots as her side. I ordered the MMY Patty Melt which is two smash patties, caramelized onions, patty melt sauce, white American cheese on toasted sourdough bread. My patty melt lacked flavor and was bland. I ordered French fries as my side. My fries were warm (not hot) and limp (not crispy). My patty melt was a big disappointment for a restaurant that has "Melt" in their name. We both thought that the tater tots, which were hot and freshly cooked, and the burger were the highlights of our meal. The bar set up is really cool and includes an open sided van as part of the bar. They will probably make it as a bar but I will pass on returning for another meal. There are so many great options for burgers in Marietta and Kennesaw that provide better prepared, fresher food.

Yelp
Melt Yard is a new restaurant that just opened in Marietta off Whitlock. It's located in a shopping plaza so plenty of free parking. Signage visible from the road. As soon as you turn into the plaza, the restaurant is straight ahead in the center of the plaza. My son saw it coming from school and told me about it. It had literally just opened, so they are working out the little details. However, I enjoyed my visit and definitely would go back. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of room between other customers. The bar area is unique using van to store bar ingredients and display bottles and etc. The overall decor is different and attracts your eye. Plenty great walls with decor for photo ops. Let's get to it! The sweet tea was really good. Love sweet tea if you've read my reviews before. I read they have glasses coming with the restaurant name on them. Plastic cups for now, which I do not mind. My son got water. My son enjoyed his Meltdown burger that comes with pimento cheese. He added fries. I got the Salmon BLT and added sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. The sandwich was on buttered sourdough bread with a garlic aioli sauce. Soo yummy! Our server did suggest the Nashville Hot Chicken and said it was a top seller. I wasn't feeling spicy. Lol. Fries were nice and hot and delicious. All of our food was good. The prices were not bad. Fries added were an additional cost to the sandwiches. There is a credit card fee. On the receipt, you will see the total for paying with cash and one for using a credit or debit card. I didn't know this beforehand. However, you see on the receipt so you can or not. I opted not to pay the $1.25 free. Luckily, I had cash that day. All in all, this was a great experience. Very casual dining spot. Kid and family friendly. TVs playing movies and sports. Be great to have a birthday party or large gathering there. Nice addition to City of Marietta!

Yelp
My husband and I WFH so we always try to take advantage of any new restaurant that's open for lunch in the area. We finally made our way over to Marietta Melt Yard and we're glad we did. The food is American fare with lots of comfort food options. I ordered the Big Bean burger w/ a side of fries. Hubz ordered the Truck Burger w/ an extra patty. He didn't order fries, as the waiter told us that my portion of fries was enough to share. For dessert, we got the funnel cake bites, which come with a side of some sort of strawberry compote/sauce. Everything was delicious and the portions were just right. As far as parking goes, it's in a huge shopping center so there's plenty of free parking. There's also semi-outdoor seating - we took advantage since it was a nice day. As far as the service, the hostess and our waiter were very friendly and pleasant so no issues there. Another thing to note is that this place seems very kid-friendly. Our son was at daycare but we'll be sure to return w/ him for dinner in the near future. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back to try a few other options.

Yelp
Came in here with my girlfriend. Thought it was going to be a cool vibe which it was. Food looked like school lunch. It was $82 after tip so definitely feel like I over payed. I ordered fried chicken sandwich with tots and got a "grilled" chicken sandwich with fries. Don't like making bad reviews but felt like I needed to be.

Yelp
I have been anxiously awaiting for Marietta Melt Yard to open! Everyone was so excited to be there, customers and employees alike. We saw quite a few people we knew and everyone was RAVING about their food selections. Kids were happy with the chalk wall and pin ball machines. The Blue Devil rum drink is delicious, dangerously delicious. It's served in a small pouch and our server described it like a capri sun for adults. With friends we ordered fried pickles, crossroads queso and the thick cut bacon. Oh my goodness, that bacon was mind blowing. We also traded a friend a bacon slice for a pimento cheese ball. For dinner we all ordered different items, everything was amazing. My grilled tilapia was not fishy and the aioli complimented it very well! (I ate it deconstructed to make it gluten free.) We cannot wait to try the milkshake and desserts, and bring our kids. Super excited to have this amazing new spot so close to home!

Yelp

Yelp
My husband and I went here for dinner because if you search up "smash burgers", their restaurant comes up. I got their regular burger with sweet potato fries and my husband got one of their specials with tots. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and prompt. The only complaint I have is that I don't really think of their burgers as "smash burgers", but I think that could be a difference of opinion by customer. The vibe in the restaurant was also very cool!

Yelp
nice bar/restaurant. overall the food was good but our waitress didn't seem too interested in us. one suggest would be for them to have live music.

Yelp
The service was really good staff was friendly and I never felt like I was too close to someone. I didn't give it a full 5 stars because the price and quality of the food I ordered wasn't what I was expecting. I haven't tried much on the menu so I can't speak for all the food. My partner ordered the Truck Burger and it was actually very good but the fries were not so good but I'd definitely recommend the Truck burger, we also got two of the chicken tacos and it was really not worth the $5 per taco. The decoration and the overall vibe of the place was really fun! This is a fun place to go for sure I'd definitely go back and hopefully change my rating to a 5 star once I try more of the food they have.

Yelp
A couple friends and I came in for a drink and a meal. I had the Blackberry Spritz, super refreshing on a hot summer day! Highly recommend the summer cocktail menu and bites to share. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip and I have been craving it ever since. The patty melt and burger were fresh off the grill and delivered promptly to our table. The space and atmosphere are perfect for a large group gathering if you are in the Marietta Square area. Our server was kind to us and asked us to come back to dine in or take it to go and we will take her up on that offer sooner rather than later.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here for the first time and was very excited to try it out since it had such great ratings. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, he said it was good. I got the MMY patty melt. It was a little bit underwhelmed by it. I actually prefer Steak n' Shake's patty melt over this one. The Patty was seasoned but had a lot of pepper, as well did the onions. Overall, we won't visit again. Food was okay but wasn't worth the price. I will say that I loved the inside of the restaurant and the music was great! Service was also attentive.

Yelp
Great location in Marietta with a huge parking lot (shared parking lot with other business inside of a plaza). Super cute, trendy decor all around the restaurant - neon signs, greenery walls, lots of color! Very fun. Huge refurbished van in the middle of the bar and plenty of seating. Clean restrooms. Friendly hostess directed us to our seats. Our server was nice. Our food runner was a delight, so bubbly and happy to be there! We arrived around 12:40ish on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. My children were given Wiki-sticks to play with (they loved it). I tried the adult pouch drink Blue Devil (rum) and it was pretty good! Would order again. My husband had the whiskey and Coke slushee and enjoyed it. We tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (definitely had a kick! Great piece of chicken. But I wasn't a huge fan of flavor so I wouldn't order again.). The wings were DELICIOUS! Fall-off-the-bone. I couldn't believe it. Never had wings like that. The lemon pepper and magic dust were delicious - definitely recommend. Fantastic fish taco impressed me - so good! I did not expect it to be so good! You'll have the option of corn or flour tortilla. The elote street corn side was very cheese and we loved it. Super fun place to grab a bite to eat and they even had a few arcade games in the "Back Yard" room including a huge chalkboard wall. Plenty of TVs around to watch the game. Awesome bar area with plenty of seating.

Yelp
I'm giving this establishment a 4 star because even though we weren't blown away but the service and food our issues were diligently corrected. I will return and try them again once the kitchen and staff are a little more seasoned. This restaurant definitely does not deserve a one star review from anyone. And it seems some people only review when it's for a complaint....

Yelp
I would highly recommend for a work happy hour or social hour, but for lunch the "fair food" is extremely heavy. Drinks were good and atmosphere is cool.

Yelp
All I can say is... wow. From the road, and even from the parking lot, you would NEVER suspect what you're about to walk into. The atmosphere in here is absolutely electric. You can't help but be happy and in awe, even just walking in. The bar made out of a GMC bus is one of the neatest things I've ever seen and being able to watch the Braves game on the wall during our lunch was a huge plus for us. As a bonus, they also have a room with pinball tables, which I used to love as a kid and haven't seen in years, so I also really appreciated that. Now on to the food... I got the backyard bbq chicken sandwich special and my partner got the MMY patty melt, both with tater tots. We also started off with a Buffalo chicken dip. Everything was amazing. I couldn't give a single complaint about anything we tried. There was so much food we couldn't even finish it. Y'all have to stop in when you're in the area next! We'll make the hour drive down here any time!

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying my rating is based more on customer service - versus the food. Intro / History Saw mouth-watering photos on social media. Decided to pick up food for us (including J and his daughter) while I was in the area. Interior / Exterior Parking can be a bit challenging because there are a LOT of other businesses crammed into this plaza. Didn't really move past the bar area but the restaurant appears to be spacious with a few large rooms aside from the main area. The seats at the bar were a bit closer than these hips liked, but most people should be fine. Lol. Customer Service When I first dropped in, it was 3:30pm. I had perused the website / menu previously - and knew what I wanted, so I was confused / surprised when I didn't see the desired items on the menu. I asked the bartender and she explained that they only offer a limited menu, daily between 3 - 4pm while the kitchen transitions from lunch to dinner. I've never experienced this and there's no mention of this on the website, so I'm writing it here to give others a head's up. I decided to run my grocery errands and come back. I went to Kroger's and Mums & Pups - the ladies at Mums & Pups said the food was very good, described it as elevated bar food - but told me that the wait could be a little long. I came back after 4pm and placed my order. I did notice that the 2 hostesses could stand to be a little more welcoming. They were fine with me - but I noticed them being a little condescending and snarky with other guests. And they did that weird thing where even though there were 2 of them - they would never speak to guests independently. So, if I'm standing there waiting to ask a question, hostess 1 is talking to another guest, but hostess 2 won't step aside and speak to me, instead - she stared and scowled at the guest while hostess 2 was talking to her. Then she stood there silently and listened to their whole exchange. Maybe one of them was training the other one, but it felt really inefficient and it created a sort of awkward, mean-girl dynamic for the guest(s). The bartender was extremely friendly. She acknowledged and greeted everyone as soon as they sat down. Provided complimentary cups of water and she was SUPER patient with me and ALL my modifications. Lol. She moved quickly and efficiently. Food I ordered: Front Porch $10 - (chicken breast) toasted sourdough instead of bun, plain, add lettuce, tomato, mayo Truck Burger $13 - toasted sourdough instead of bun, cheddar instead of White American cheese, toppings on the side, add lettuce, tomato, mayo Kids Chicken Tenders & tots $8 The Front Porch was fine, not super filling. They forgot the mayo, so it was a bit dry. The Truck Burger (ultimately refunded) was a bit of a debacle. Instead of putting the toppings on the side. They put the hot patties and lettuce in one box. They put the untoasted sourdough bread in another box. I had to ask for toasted bread, pickles & secret sauce. Later, I realized that they used white American cheese instead of cheddar, so J couldn't eat it. The kid's chicken tenders included only 2 tenders, but the portion of tots was pretty generous for a kid's serving. At first glance, it seemed like 4 tenders, but the 'other 2 tender' were just blobs of fried breading. Tator tots are already seasoned, so the generous portion of coarse salt, made these a bit hard to eat. I snagged a few while driving - so it saved me from eating them all. Lol. Price / Value Ok. So. I don't know if this is Covid-pandemic-supply chain-inventory scarcity-thing. Or a Whitlock Ave thing. Leases ARE insane in this area, but I was kinda surprised to pay $14 for a burger with no sides. My chicken sandwich was $10, no sides. And honestly - it was NOT a lot of food. Overall Even though I didn't have a great experience, I appreciated the owner's genuine response and actions. I think they have some bugs to work out, but we'll be back when J is all healed up and we're able to dine in.

Yelp
Pretzel bites tasted microwaved, my mac and cheese came out cold, my daughters wings were seasoned so much she couldn't even eat them, and my Salmon BLT and my husbands Fish taco were just OK. Went for the shakes and to try something new and we were very disappointed. Pictures of the shake we got and the shake they post on social media.

Yelp
This place has earned a STRONG NO! Do not come here! Do not order food here! This may be the most discussing chicken EVER served! And no, it's NOT blackened; it's burnt. We were seated (by a hostess) for almost 20 minutes before being acknowledged by a server. The drink order took 15 minutes. This was apparently the first time our server had ever been in that role. She couldn't handle even the simplest of tasks and knew nothing about customer service. Our meals were BOTH burnt so badly that it was inedible. This was awful! Don't waste your time or money!

Yelp
Great burger, 2 thick patties topped with melty American cheese and a special sauce in between a toasted fluffy bun. The truck burger is $10 on Wednesday with fries or tots. Service was not the best but was told they were short staffed. Cool bar set up.

Yelp
Fun decorations inside and great fun service. Burgers were great along with the tater tots. We were a larger party but were well taken care of.

Yelp
We've had lunch and dinner at Marietta Melt Yard quite a few times over the past few months. The food is consistently delicious - I get a different sandwich/ burger each time. The drinks are good - whether it is a pint or a crafted beverage from the bar. We enjoy watching the sports on the numerous big screens on weekends. The staff is friendly and courteous. It is a family friendly establishment.

Yelp
This is a good spot to watch a game on tv. The food is good, the service is good and there is plenty of parking.

Yelp
Service is subpar and slow. The food is alright, nothing to cry about or cheer about. The appetizers were better than the entry's. The home alone pop up was pretty cool and worth coming again. It was middle of the road.

Yelp
Super fun place with delicious food. Friendly staff. Fast service. Worth a visit for sure. We will return. Fried Oreos! Buckin' Buffalo Sandwich! We went to melt yard the day before Christmas. There were about 10 of us plus 3 kids. We got seated very quickly and the service was great. Staff was friendly. The owner is super nice and checked in on us a few times. He is a really fun young man named Matthew. Lots of good food options and everything we ordered was good. The service was plenty fast, not sure where the complaints came from. They just opened a few weeks ago, so maybe they were ironing out the kinds. Regardless, the food arrived in a timely matter and we loved it. The atmosphere is fun and a great place for a casual meal. Kids are welcome. I'd go here to just hang out with the family or friends. It's probably a blast to watch a game here. Solid place. Highly recommend. The buckin Buffalo chicken sandwich delicious! You'll need to try the fried Oreos. I'd eat 100 of them.

Yelp
We were very excited to try this place as to we know people that like it and connected to restaurant. First off, our server wasn't friendly. I attributed this to her being young. I had a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. I didn't understand up-charge on SP fries. I didn't care for the sweet sauce that came with them. My husband had a truck burger. He wasn't asked how he wanted burger cooked. I had to grab another server for napkins and a beer. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Felt like a restaurant on the belt line. The service was not great. Not offered dessert. Food was just ok. Not sure I would return.

Yelp
This was my second visit to the Melt Yard. A much better experience. We ordered Buffalo Chicken dip - Lots of chicken and Fried pickles with ranch. Both delicious. Entrees, I had the Trucker Burger with sweet potato fries and marshmallow dip both amazing. My burger was so good and juicy I didn't need catsup or mustard. My friend had the Pimento Taco. She said the combination was good but the cheese was a bit greasy. She ordered the Street Corn. Sorry guys just not good. Corn was over grilled and watery. For dessert we tried the fried Oreos. Fun concept and glad the milk was there to dunk them. Fried funnel cake. Over fried like eating sweet crunchy dough. Tasty but most we left behind. It should be soft and easy to eat and not enough powdered sugar. Server was good and attentive. My friend loved the fun vibe and casual feel. Overall a good "second" experience and happy I got the chance. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
I was torn in how to rate this place. The food was good. The service absolutely sucked. Seated right away. Took 10 minutes or so for the waitress to come over to the table. She took the drink order, which took another 10 minutes, and brought over the wrong drink. Had to go to the bar and ask the bartender to fix it, which she did and made it excellent. Food came out, and we didn't see the waitress again. Needed water refilled, so it was another trip back to the bar to get refills of water. The restaurant was not overly busy, and there was no wait. Again, the food is good, but with this service, it is not worth going back to, to many other restaurants around.

Yelp
I wanted to give 2.5 stars. We went for the home alone theming and that was pretty cool however, they definitely need to focus more on their food. Burgers were very below average and had a bit of a funky taste and kinda watery (not juicy). It also smelled kinda bad in there like ham (not in a good way).

Yelp
The first time I went, it was very good. This was my first time eating here. The food was fresh. The taters were crispy. The corn could've been better. The second time I went, it could've been better. I had the Nashville spicy. My grandma that went says it wasn't that good the second time either. The service is good. They have a game room for the little ones. They also have a bar if you don't want a table. The ambiance was nice. Kind of like a backyard feel. Refreshing.

Yelp
We had the sweetest server named Emily, was so attentive and checked in on us and kept our drinks filled. Incredible cocktail, food (Buffalo chicken sandwich) and company. 100% recommend

Yelp
Awesome ambiance! You feel like you are back the 80's with the music. Large bar area that was easy to eat and have a beer. Yummy homemade food versus just cooking up frozen stuff. We enjoyed our melt and bowl. We will be back.

Yelp
LOVE this type of spot popping up in Marietta, it's a great place to watch a game and grab some food/drinks. They were also very accommodating to seat a party of 12 within 10 minutes right as the Braves game was starting on the big screen. Service was fantastic. As for the food, I absolutely loved the Meltdown burger. The Nashville Hot Chicken also looked really good. However, I wouldn't recommend the Millie Bobby Brownie, it was honestly awful because the brownie was hard and wasn't warmed up, plus it was over-saturated with whipped cream instead of ice cream. The shakes looked much more appetizing, I'd suggest going for one of those!

Yelp
The food is very good, I've had several of the specialty sandwiches , all very good. The sweet potato fries are the bomb, an unexpected pleasure. The atmosphere is very eclectic, I like it. Great music, lots of tvs , and PINBALL machines!!!!! Definitely worth a stop in. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Give this place a try!!!
