"Start your meal with the mango lassi at Marigold Maison. This beverage is not a canned version of mango dropped in milk, but, instead, offers a fresh fruit blend of sweetness and tang. Don’t overlook the paneer pakora and turmeric lentil soup or the malai kofta paired with the hot and fresh naan. Dine-in and takeout currently available with online ordering." - Rudri Patel

Google
Spectacular Indian Food! Seriously, this place may have the best Indian food anywhere in the valley, and the owners are such lovely and wonderful people. They order all of their spices directly from India and grind them and the quality of the other ingredients is also amazing. Plenty of options for every type of dietary concern, all in a very charming location. Very fair prices as well.

Everything was great. We ordered chicken thali and aloo paratha. Food was awesome. The song selections there was perfect. We even heard a bengali song.

Google
Great service. However, the food was just ok. I came here for the authentic Indian spice, but I didn’t find it when I dine here. However, they were very generous with meat in every dishes.

This was the first Indian restaurant we tried in Scottsdale about 5-6 years ago. We weren’t crazy about it the first time, but someone highly recommended it as one of their favorites, so since it’s been a while we decided to try it out again for lunch on a Saturday. The waiter provided excellent service and was knowledgeable about the food and discussed its sustainability which is great. His recommendation of mixing their lemonade with black tea to create an Arnold Palmer was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately as a vegan, my veggie Hakka noodles tasted like seafood as if there was some cross contamination going on! The yellow dahl was pretty good and had repeat value but the Hakka noodles ruined it for me to the point I had to write a review to talk about the cross contamination experience.

Google
This place maybe constructed well on the inside and out, but please avoid being a customer here. If you like Indian food don't come here! This doesn't taste anything like Indian food, it's been Americanized (no flavor). All the containers were half empty, and the portion of food wasn't enough to feed an adult, perhaps a child for such a high cost!! Very disappointing! Also they were so rude in making you wait for such long periods without a line. I called in advance and expected my order to be ready about an hour in advance, and I still waited for another 45 minutes. So they don't care about customer service at all. They need more staff here and perhaps people who actually know how to cook authentic Indian inspired dishes!! Such a disappointment!!!

Google
Jeffrey, our waiter was fantastic. Food is okay. It doesn't have the authentic Indian flavor. Especially the naan was different! Almost like a regular pita bread! We would go back again. Maybe other dishes have more flavor! We ordered the eggplant dish! The yogurt drink was smooth and refreshing...

Google
I must say, It was the best Restaurant I visited while in Phoenix. Talking about our favorite foods my friend in India suggested I should try his favorite dish. I found Marigold Maison on Google, it's all you can eat but in a very different style. They serve a platter with small bowls. You can get more of any dish. Great concept. Delicious Lunch platter and a pitcher of local bear for twenty bucks! And Abraham was charming and attentive. Knew exactly when to show. How much to say and how long to stay. Have only seen this caliber in high end Restaurants. All around impressed.

Google
If you’re looking for a nicer than a hole in the wall Indian restaurant, Marigold is the place. Nice layout and friendly staff. Plenty of vegetarian options which can all be made vegan. Their standard entrees and naans are all solid. Keep in mind some of the appetizers are a bit fusion. So if you are looking for purely authentic, this might not be your pick. However, with good happy hour specials and a nice patio, this is a good destination for Indian food.

Yelp
The highest quality traditional Indian dishes, with a friendly staff in a comfortable and beautiful setting. From the minute you walk in you smell the spices and each dish is an experience to travel to India. Visit soon and enjoy.

Yelp
Finally a great Indian restaurant that I can frequent. The food was amazing and service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and engaging with us. And was able to give us some recommendations too. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The food was delicious and I could not be happier with the fact that I can now get my favorite aloo gobi somewhere in my area, and some delicious naan bread.

Jessica A.

Yelp
I had this for the first time tonight in my continued search for the best Indian food in Phoenix. I had the mutter masala, veggie, spice level medium (I always try new Indian places at the medium level to gauge the overall heat for future orders, and my husband had the curry with chicken. We also shared the potato naan and veggie samosas. I LOVED the flavor of his curry, absolutely loved the samosas (though oddly, they were served with chickpeas in several sauces so I'm not even certain we actually GOT samosas - whatever it was, it was delicious), and I loved the potato naan. My least favorite dish was actually my mutter masala (which is my go-to dish); it was a little bland and the medium spice was definitely leaning more toward mild. Will definitely be back, it was good and I'm excited to try other things on the menu. Notably, we ordered takeout through DoorDash so can't speak to the actual interior of the restaurant.

Yelp
Kicking off 2024 International Supper Club in January and we headed on over to Marigold Maison to start the year! Arrived on a Thursday evening and the place was busy, but we had reservations and were showed to our table pretty quickly. After checking out the menu I went chicken tikka masala and added an order of garlic naan bread. The chicken tikka masala was the perfect dish on this cool night, it was warm and rich in flavor. The side of rice served with the dish was perfectly cooked and enjoyed the peas in it. The naan bread was delish as well! This was a great meal! Look forward to coming back!

Jaslean A.

Yelp
This place was a nice spot! Our waiter Jeff was very kind. The Bhel Puri was by far my favorite and probably some of the best Chaat I've ever had in my LIFE! Loved the butter chicken and garlic naan as well. Definitely on the pricier side though compared to other Indian restaurants my family and I go to. But still delicious. Loved that they were playing Bollywood music as well!

Yelp
I used to love the food and was a frequent visitor from 2017-2020. During the pandemic things started getting bad. Overpriced, mediocre food. Their website is a mess and the working hours keep changing. More recently they were open for lunch thali on Saturdays which was ok, but not as good as it used to be. Looks like they aren't open for lunch anymore at least according to the website.

Norm R.

Yelp
What a most pleasant venue for an unofficial gathering of Yelp friends ( the monthly International Supper Club Unofficial Yelp Event, or ISCUYE - check the events page of yelp if you want to join in the dining fun). Beautiful murals give the place a nice South Asian ambience and even though the restaurant is relatively small, there is plenty of seating inside, with additional seating at the patio as well. The food was excellent, very flavorful and fresh tasting. Service was friendly and efficient. The slightly upscale nature of the place is reflected in the prices- not inexpensive, though not budget busting either. The restaurant is conveniently situated in the Paradise Valley Mall area and there's plenty of parking.

Yelp
Oh my! What a gem of a find. The food is so good, the service was wonderful, and they are transparant with their billing. We had a very enjoyable evening here tonight with 9 of our friends. We were treated very well and all the food tasted great. We shared a few items but I myself got the Quinoa salad which was enough for three meals and delish. I also got the garlic Naan and the speciality potatoe and pea Nann. I had to get the last for the curiousity factor. It was so good. It has a kick so watch out if you do not like spicy. I took enough food to feed an army. Thank you very much for the lovely evening staff members.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Best Indian food in the valley. We have tried many and this one is so good. The service was excellent. Thanks for all the helpful knowledge and tips Jeffrey!

Chrstphr J.

Yelp
Mediocre. Lots of good stuff down the road. I won't name the other Indian restaurants that get 4 & 5 stars from me here.

Patrick H.

Yelp
I hate to say this but -- flavorless and overpriced. We got an order of samosas (tasty) and garlic naan (lovely) but our lemonade tasted like it had been watered down within an inch of its life, and our saag paneer and malai kofta were dull, soupy and virtually tasteless. I wouldn't normally kvetch about this, but the bill for this relatively modest diner for two was more than $80. If you're going to have to shell out that much money for two vegetarian dishes, you either deserve unforgettable flavors -- or a warning. Which I'm now trying to provide anyone else. The ambience and service were really nice.

Cierra D.

Yelp
Overall great place! I tried their chicken tikka masala and it was fantastic. Pushpa, our waitress, was super friendly and made the experience even better. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and the food was delicious. Definitely going back!

Richard C.

Yelp
This place has awesome food. The vindaloo and the bhindi earn them 5 stars. Service has always been solid. I will say, sometimes hours can be spotty and I've had some issues with DoorDash orders in the past. Takeout is never a problem though. By far the best Indian food in the valley though. Very excited to see they are open for lunch now!

Phyllis M.

Yelp
Yelp says they are open on Monday. But they are not. Will try again. Photos of food on yelp look so fresh and tasty.

MT H.

Yelp
The best tandoori, rice and more! Big portions for family style. Good service and ambiance! We do take out too!

Steve O.

Yelp
I used to avoid spicy foods but was introduced to Marigold Madison on date and I was pleasantly surprised. The Biryani was a comfortable level of spice and it matched perfectly with the Taj Mahal lager. Service overall was very friendly and accommodating

Cami M.

Yelp
WOW, absolutely delicious! Our first time here, and we ordered the Tikka Masala and Chana Masala, with garlic naan. Perfectly tender and flavorful - we ordered more naan just to soak up every drop of the sauces from our entrees. The service was fabulous - Natalie made excellent recommendations and was a great server. We will be back for sure!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I am willing to travel an hour to eat here. Love the chicken korma and samosas. Tandoori chicken is also great.

Alex F.

Yelp
TRY THIS PLACE!! Came in to eat early around 5pm and the place was already pretty full with reservations. On top of that, they told us that they were understaffed for the day and that we were going to be the last walk in. I am glad we got sat because we had a wonderful experience. While being understaffed, our sever was extremely attentive and did not let running around the restaurant get her down. Once we ordered our food came out quite fast especially for being "understaffed." We ordered the Mango Lassi, Samosa Chaat, Kashmiri Korma and Garlic Naan. All were tasty with distinct Indian flavor. I am looking forward to coming back to a fully staffed restaurant and seeing if it gets any better. Overall, if you want some good Indian food this is a great place to try.

Pamela M.

Yelp
JUST WOW WOW WOW! The instant the chicken tikka hit my mouth... totally speechless. So rich and creamy, chicken cooked to perfection. I could not be more satisfied with my dinner. To top it off Pushpa was an amazing server, very attentive, and overall great personality. Making the night just more positive and enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back here.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Ordered way too much takeout but now we will have delicious leftovers for multiple meals Would totally order again: -Chicken korma (creamy and flavorful) -paneer pakora (I am just a sucker for fried food with flavorful sauces) -baingan bharta (husband and SIL loved this one)

Becky D.

Yelp
The food was so good! My teenage niece was really not that hungry when we arrived but quickly changed her tune after one bite. We also tried two of the desserts which were unique (to me) and very tasty. Nice atmosphere and good service. We will definitely be back and will bring other family members.

Erwin L.

Yelp
Overall rating: 3.5/5 Wait: 4/5 Arrival time: Thursday 6pm Food: 3/5 Order: chicken Tikka, rotti, saag, garlic naan Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Worth a try but probably won't be back

Anna D.

Yelp
The food here is very good. Took me a while to find this place, but it is one of the best in town. Now my family asks for this regularly.

Harika S.

Yelp
Not even close to any authentic flavor, texture or taste. Which was surprising because the pictures here looked great. Chicken Biryani was especially disappointing with the rice burnt and mushy, no aroma and tasted/looked nothing like a biryani you expect Vindaloo was very disappointing too

Alan T.

Yelp
Was a great spot and very inviting. Waiter Casey was extremely efficient and friendly. All items looked great. The entrees are very large and more than I could eat, but was glad to have leftovers to take home! Highly recommend.

John H.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Indian Food and I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place is! It was kind of tucked away in a quiet corner on a very busy street where larger restaurants or sports bars can overshadow it, but my god was the food good! When you first walk in, the staff are friendly. The place is VERY clean, which I am huge on. The food smelled amazing and the waiter quickly came over to help me. I really really enjoyed my first run at Indian food and I definitely want to try more items on the me menu. The sauce was so creamy mixed with all kinds of spices I've never even had before. It went lovely with the rice and garlic naan. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. I definitely will be back!

Kendra L.

Yelp
Authentic, amazing. One of a kind food from india Suniel runs his kitchen right. The samosas, sagg, lamb, goat, and chicken are all on point.

Rashmi G.

Yelp
Posting an update after getting takeout a couple of times now from Marigold Maison. They have a great easy to order online option for same day pickup or you can reserve for a later time. I've put in orders the day before and had no problems. Everything was ready and packed up for me when I got there! Contactless too ... you can pay ahead of time & pickup at the window out front. Happy to share that all the curries we've had have been really good. The Kashmiri Korma is still my favorite but we also liked the Tikka Masala, Mutter Masala, Saag Spinach, & Biryani. You can get things made with vegetables, paneer, chicken, shrimp, etc. and whatever spice level you want. Everything is customizable online. Overall, they've provided efficient service and we've been happy with the food. Only inconsistency seems to be their rice that comes with the dishes. Sometimes it is dry or overcooked but their naan is great. We'll definitely keep coming back!

Reema M.

Yelp
We found this place on Yelp while looking for a nice Indian restaurant. The place had contemporary interiors and a nice vibe. Abraham was our host and server, he had great energy, was warm and professional. Abraham's recommendations were on point. We decided to skip appetizers and jump into mains: Paneer Tikka Masala: this one topped my most delicious Tikka Masala dishes, was absolutely delicious! Dal Makhni: was flavorful, right amount of spice and creaminess. Garlic Naan: was warm, soft, fresh and tasty. Rice: perfectly cooked, fluffy with peas. Overall we absolutely enjoyed the place and food. Highly recommend this restaurant for it's quality of food and it's great ambiance.

Louie M.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but after my visit to this restaurant, I felt I had to share. The food and service were both top-notch, making it a memorable dinner. I ordered the Chicken Tikki Masala and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked just right and the masala sauce was full of flavor. The garlic naan was also warm and tasty. My significant other ordered the Fish Makhani. I of course had to try it and was equally impressed. The fish was cooked perfectly and the butter sauce was the best I've ever had. It was rich and creamy, adding a wonderful depth of flavor to the dish. I would order that next time too. Our server, Pushpa, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She helped with recommendations/explanations. If you like Indian food, I very highly recommend Marigold Maison. The food is so fresh and authentic. I will definitely be bringing my family next time. Oh, and the wall art is a beautiful touch. The ambiance of the dining area was just right. 5/5 stars from us!

A A.

Yelp
The food was great. I got the vindaloo medium and it was SPICY! I loved it. The naan was great. The paneer pakora was great. The masala iced tea was great. We will come back.

Larissa B.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant of ALL TIME! The food is so delicious, the service is amazing, the owners are so sweet. The ingredients they use are the highest of quality and tastes like heaven. I never even liked Indian cuisine until I came here and now my family is here almost every weekend! Great place to come out with family and friends and to eat the most delicious food you will ever have!

Jenn C.

Yelp
Great time with my bestie when I came back to Scottsdale to visit - my friend said you have to try this amazing Indian food restaurant- it was great!!!!

Marie R.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Definitely worth going out of your way. They could be a bit more generous with the rice though.

Pie G.

Yelp
We've been coming here for several years now. It's our top Indian restaurant for sure. Chicken Marsala is the bomb! Garlic Naan bread is on point too. This restaurant is so good they expanded the size awhile back. A little in the pricey $$$ side for Indian food but that doesn't stop us from going. Definitely recommend.

Melanie F.

Yelp
We just returned from vacation and didn't want to cook or clean and decided to go for one last hurrah. I am so happy we chose to come to this restaurant. Their food is seasoned amazingly well and we were very impressed. We started with the chicken pakora and the breading was just right. The sauces that came with were a surprise. The waiter was attentive and explained the menu to us. I ended with the butter sauce and lamb and couldn't rave enough about the sauce. My partner ordered the Saag Spinach with Chicken and probably would have licked the plate if we weren't at the restaurant. We each ordered a naan and were deeply impressed. All in all I would say perfect meal! We will be back :)

Michael G.

Yelp
Best Indian food in Arizona! Having lived in Mumbai, I connected to these authentic recipes and flavors. Wonderful service, great food, affordable prices!

Shakira M.

Yelp
Haven't had Indian food since I moved to Phoenix about 3 years ago so I was really excited to try this place. My friend and I decided to give this place a shot and experience it during Restaurant Week. For $33, we received a six course meal. The portion sizes were doable. Food was tasty. I ordered not so spicy food but found all the meals flavorful. It also included dessert which I ordered this mango smoothie dish. Great option if you enjoy Indian Food.

Kristen G.

Yelp
Not the best Indian food if you're looking for something authentic. It also is very expensive for what you get. Nice ambiance and service was good

Linda S.

Yelp
The food and service was terrific. If you like Indian food, you will love it. I cannot speak for the ambience of the restaurant since I was there for lunch.

Sarah W.

Yelp
A friend took me here & handled all of the ordering. It was delicious!!!! A hidden gem for sure.

Manoj J.

Yelp
For a reason I have to say the best Indian restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale are worse than the worst Indian restaurants in SF bay area. Came here looking at the reviews. Almost threw up while eating the malai kofta and marigold naan. No taste. Had ordered mango kulfi as well. Disappointed at a different level. Guys, those who are rating this restaurant food as on of the best in Aizona, please try SF area food. This is no where close to be near authentic Indian food. Sorry !!

Anna J.

Yelp
My children and I have been coming here on and off for about 4 1/2 years. Even though they are a more pricey Indian restaurant, they have a few items that are unique that my daughter who is vegan likes. We have enjoyed coming in person as well as ordering via uber eats during the pandemic. Tonight we came in person for Sunday dinner. It was myself and two children. We ordered 3 orders of Naan, 2 orders of chicken tikka masala, a side of lentils, a appetizer and a soda. BTW...we like leftovers because this mamma doesn't always like to cook. This totaled $89 and change after tax. I paid with my credit card. I was charged $105. I looked at the bill more closely and realized I was automatically charged 20% gratuity for a party of 3. Why, I was never charged automatic gratuity before? I decided to look at the menu again to see if it was stated that they include a 20% gratuity on all parties regardless of group size. I also looked to see if the 20% gratuity was posted at the counter or the door. It was not. I asked my server why I was charged 20% gratuity on my bill when there was only 3 of us. She stated, " we do that because sometimes customers do not pay us any gratuity at all. They pay the bill and leave, that's why we will charge it automatically." I explained to her that customers are not required to pay a gratuity, as it is a monetary amount that is given to show gratitude for quality food/service. I personally always leave gratuity 15% for lunch and 20% for dinner and more if my experience was exceptional. The server could tell I was offended by it and offered to give me the gratuity back in cash from her apron. I told her No, however I will NOT be back because it was not stated anywhere that there is a automatic 20% gratuity for all party sizes. Honestly, I feel like I was subjectively charged an automatic 20% gratuity based on race and family make up. I am a single mother of tri- racial children, 50% black, 25% Asian, 25% white. I truly feel that the server assumed that I would not leave a gratuity and she took it upon herself to ensure she received what she felt she deserved to serve us. This is unfortunate experience. Like I said, I will never come here again or order from this restaurant again.

Lauren A.

Yelp
After driving around aimlessly for 30 minutes trying to decide where to go for dinner we ended up here and we were not disappointed. It's small but plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, being that it summer we opted for the indoor seating despite the shade and misters. We started with the chicken tikka pakoras which were delicious. I ordered the chicken tikka for my entree and mu husband got the chicken Carrey and an order or naan. The naan was delicious dipped in his curry which had just the right amount of heat. The chicken tikka was flavorful and moist on a bed of peppers and onions. We also had a side of basmati rice. The service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean. Dinner for two came to just over $40. We look forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes.

Cindy C.

Yelp
I have to admit I'm very picky when it comes to Indian food. However, I'm glad I tried Marigold. Very nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. Food was very good. They had happy hour which were about $1 cheaper than their regular menu. Our waitress guided us in selecting few of popular dishes. Their lamb curry was full of flavor and had enough sauce for our dipping pleasure with Roti. Portions were big but my hubby had big appetite so we managed to clean all of our plates. I would love to go try out their lunch buffet next time . The Taj Mahal beer was spot on with all the dishes.

Deepak S.

Yelp
If there was option I would give NO stars. We are visiting from San Francisco. We were craving for good Indian food. Searched on line and found this Restsurant. Looked good in pictures etc , Menu was good too. We made a reservation at this restaurant for a nice dinner. When we reached there , myself and my wife walked in , no welcome , no smile , workers were coming and going around the restaurant , BUT NO ONE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED US. Then a guy ( looked like owner) passed by us , no smile no welcoming expressions on his face , looked at us blankly, I told him we have a reservation for two. , he just nodded and walked away. We also walked out and found another nice restaurant Namaste nearby and had a nice dinner there.

Priyanka G.

Yelp
If you are looking for Indian food, this isn't it. It's not the actual recipes of dishes but instead much toned down versions of each dish. It's the place to go if you've never had Indian food before and are trying to get your feet wet.

C K.

Yelp
It's ok. Good portion sizes but ok at best. We ordered two chicken dishes- the tikka masala and Makhani- and they really didn't have anything I can't get from a jar at Safeway. Al Hamra is much better locally- not really sure if the people eating here just haven't had good Indian food or if the cook has changed- but if I were to compare the qualify of the chicken cooked- it tasted like three day old chicken warmed up in a microwave- not the tender and juicy chicken that should be in these dishes. Guess I shouldn't have been surprised when my carry out order was done in 5 minutes.

Kevin R.

Yelp
If you like Indian food this place will not disappoint. So incredibly good! Dal Makhani
