Nice trails along the coastal side and bay side. It was foggy the day we went so I’m not sure how good the views are of the Golden Gate Bridge. Seems like a place people like to camp out in their cars. Saw a tent also so make sure anything valuable is out of sight if you leave your car.

Real awesome park only a short distance from the city with tons to explore! Recommend checking out the hiking trails, whether for views of the bridge or around Fort Cronkhite and Rodeo Beach for some cool military history, including old batteries you can check out. Easy to spend a full day or more here, I only was able to for a few hours and can’t wait to come back.

Not easy but not difficult either. Highly recommended. Beautiful and isolated black sand beach. It's 0.2 mi of stairs down and up but worth it. Whale bones found there also.

It’s one of those final lighthouse areas which came up around the goldrush days . It has seen better days with lot of damage to the land. It is at a lower level than the earlier lighthouse. You need to pass through a tunnel before reaching the lighthouse. The small bridge to the lighthouse is also closed . Saturday evenings would be a choice to visit the place as you get to see more and hear stories by veterans. You need to walk some distance from the parking area which is generally roadside type and many a time you need to park at a distance downhill after dropping the people. View from this point is always fantastic. The Golden Gate Bridge and the ships, yachts and boats keep you mesmerised

Excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city from the western side. Great places for kids to hike. A favorite area of ours when visiting the Bay Area.

Hiking at Marin Headlands is a fantastic experience with easy trails accessible for all skill levels. One of the highlights is the breathtaking view of the ocean below, which stretches endlessly and offers a perfect spot for taking photos or simply enjoying the scenery. The area can be windy, so bringing a cap or windbreaker is a good idea. There are several trails to choose from, and while weekends can get busy, the lively atmosphere adds to the charm. You might even spot surfers in the waves below despite the cool weather. There’s plenty of parking, but the restrooms could be cleaner.
