Alex is incredible. He is very matter of fact and straight to the point. I came in with an acoustic guitar with a broken string and he ended up giving it a full diagnosis. Turns out my guitar was pretty bad, especially for the goals I had. Once I explained my objective, he handed me a guitar that felt like it was made for me. This man truly cares about music, and it shows. I ended up buying the guitar and Alex fixed my string for free. Would definitely come again!

I never write bad reviews, but this time I feel it is my duty to warn others. I went and asked for a cheap guitar to play during my holidays in LA. I said I had a 100 dollar bill and the clerk smiled. He went in the workshop and brought a used guitar in very bad condition. It had sand inside and the gears barely turned. He happily took my 100$ and gave me a set of new strings. I trusted him so I actually didn't look at the guitar so much in the shop. When I got home I inspected it a bit more and realised I might not be able to change strings due to the bad gears. I looked up the brand and model and even new they're cheaper than 100$ (can't remember the brand, but it was mexican). When I came back to the shop to return it, he was not very pleased to see that I realised that I had been scammed. He got me another used guitar and told me: "now go and don't come back", even though I had been polite through all of this. I see there's a lot of good reviews, so it might be that it was only this one clerk that is unprofessional. Otherwise I don't understand why I was treated so badly...

Just had two basses set-up here, one brand new Sire P-Bass and the other a 1990 Fender Jazz I've owned since '92. The set-ups were perfect, extremely well done, and my basses were treated with respect, came back polished and without a scratch. Do not be put off by the small size of this shop, Alex and his guitar tech really know their stuff, and are very pleasant to deal with.

Google

Great selection of used and vintage gear! Great service and pricing! I’ve shopped here for over 20 years. Still one of the best shops around!

Alex is a wonderful champion of young musicians. He attends to everyone who enters his shop, no matter how small their request or question.

Very nice music store with lots of options. There is definitely something for everyone. The owners were friendly and helpful. Definitely check it out

Personal and personable excelent guitar repair service. It's refreshing to walk into a music shop not corporate owned where you can have straight answers to your questions by true experts in the subject.

Yelp
Still the best music shop on the Westside. Lots of used gear to try. Alex is the friendly owner (now 71) and Lucio has been my go to guitar tech for years. I moved away from this area but still take my guitars to Lucio because I trust him to make them play good!

Yelp
I got scammed at this place. I left my Yamaha electric violin (YEV) here to have a tiny crack repaired. The owner seemed nice about it and said that it would be an easy fix. I was very happy to have found a place that looked like an old school music shop that would work on violins. I stupidly left my fancy carbon fiber bow in the hard case along with the accessories...rosins, an electric clip on tuner, a shoulder rest, chin rest pad, etc. Rookie move on my part. When I went in to pick it up, my YEV was hanging up by the counter & it was in a cheapo soft case...an unlined nylon zipper bag looking thing. My velvety lined hard case, my favorite bow, & all my accessories were gone. The crack was fixed & it was done well, but the chin rest was also missing off of the violin. It looked naked Tbh. Now the worst part was that the owner kept trying to gaslight me into believing that it WAS my case. telling me that it has your violin in it, & that's exactly what I left with him. He became super defensive about it. I was being calm & was like I can see how a mistake like this could happen, but that's not my case. My case is a hard case & it has a Fiddlerman bow in it. I would never put a violin in a soft bag like this. They're too delicate. He kept going on a on, saying things like "look your cords are in the pocket" I was like "no my chord is at home plugged into my amp." He said "Look, there's no way, it's been right here since you left it." He got louder and meaner, saying things like " Look, this is exactly what you gave me. Look, I remember! Look, we don't even have any other violins here! " I gave up & asked what I owed for the repair because I could feel my eyes starting to sting. He said "nothing". He again started telling me that it was "exactly what you left here, there's no mistake" and it was "IMPOSSIBLE that it was in different case". I picked up my violin, left the bag on the counter, said you can keep whoever's bag that is, it's not mine. He sarcastically said "oh great, we have a new case". I left, went to my car, & burst into tears. It was crazy. I'm not a crybaby but I'm not used to people pulling stuff like this on me. So either... 1) He knew it wasn't mine, but didn't want to admit it was a mistake, because he didn't want to owe me anything, so he tried to gaslight me into believing it was mine. Or... 2) He actually thought it was mine and didn't realize he gave my stuff to someone else & truly thought I was an idiot female. Hell my case could have been there somewhere, he didn't even try to look for it. He just dismissed me. But then why wouldn't he charge me if he thought it was honestly what I left there? Or... 3) He purposely took my violin out of my nice case with my nice bow, took the chin rest & pad off, and put mine in a cheap a** bag by itself to rip me off & sell my stuff cuz that's how they roll. idk what the crazy motivation was. I just know it sucked getting scammed. & it sucked getting treated like a crazy dumb bish. No matter what, it was awful. He was horrible to me and would not listen. Tried to make me seem and feel like a dumb chick that didn't know what she had left there. Who would not know their own case tho? Musicians know what they have. Especially since I don't own a soft bag case. Never. I personally think they're trash. I brought it in for a crack, like I'd put it in a soft case lol. Plus, my bow & other stuff was with it & that was all gone! Damn I'm going to miss that bow! Fiddlerman carbon fiber bow...loved it. I never leave reviews, good or bad..I'm so not a Karen, but this was such a negative experience & I feel like it's possible they do this crap there regularly as a side hustle. Ultimately, they stole my stuff. I have to replace the chin rest, the hard case, get a new bow, etc. which will be around $400+ if I get the cheap stuff. The repair, in hindsight I should have just put a little glue on it myself I guess, because it wasn't that bad. I was just afraid of messing it up. Sigh. There's a lot of trust involved in repairs sadly because you're leaving your beloved instrument in the care of someone you don't really know. It could have been worse though I suppose. He could have kept the YEV too and tried to pass off some piece of crap violin as mine too & told me it's "exactly what you left here" so at least I got my Yamaha YEV back. Now it just needs an outfit again. Btw it was super out of tune when I got it home lol. Probably from being in the stupid bag it was hanging in. Next time I need to leave an instrument for any reason, I'll ask to take a pic of the repair guy holding it lol & request a receipt with a list of what they're receiving. Otherwise it's your word against theirs. :( Best thing is probably to just learn how to do everything yourself so you don't have to leave anything with strangers.

Yelp
With so much hostile corporate takeover in most industries (e.g. Amazon and Barnes and Noble muscling in on small bookstores and buying formerly independent online sites) it's refreshing to step into the world of clutter and the randomness of finding what you weren't really searching for amidst the stacks of gear, and suspended instruments covering the entirety of the available wallspace in two front rooms. The proprietor knows his stuff, undoubtedly a talented luthier as well. This shop has been here a very long time and probably supplied more bands known and unknown with their very first guitars, amplifiers, effect pedals, picks, straps, and strings. Maybe lessons too? It reminded me of the better stocked pawnshops I have visited over the years, in search of some overlooked grail (good luck there, since the late 80s most shops know what they have), however futile that might be. A glimmer of hope... on one wall hung some (now) vintage 1970s Fender guitars, Stratocasters and Telecasters, as well as Jazz and Precision basses, in the characteristic "blonde" or natural wood finishes. This era also produced some ugly ducklings in dark walnut and peculiar matte finishes. Nevertheless, like comic books, now called the Bronze Age, 1970s instruments are highly collectable and the prices (likely negotiable with cash) reflect the trend. However, the guitars on the wall were all superb examples and in surprisingly good condition but still retained the mojo of being 'player guitars' that have seen much action on the road. Next time I need (want really) another guitar, this is one of the first places I'll visit. Yes, it's cluttered, don't bring kids, but if you want some pleasant surprises, it's a bit like digging through stacks of books at an old used bookstore, albeit more expensive.

Yelp
I always prefer small owner shops instead of the big chains, and this shop reinforces that position. I brought in my Gibson Bass, which had been through some abuse, and within 24 hours they had brought her back to life beautifully. The cost was literally 1/3rd that of the chain stores as well. I am now a faithful customer of theirs for life. They also have an amazing selection of refurbished equipment, guitars and auxiliary equipment for sale. This is a shop made by guitarists for guitarists.

Yelp
Owner Alex is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Best music store in Los Angeles

Yelp
I give this a 5 out of 5! I went here to check out vintage or used classical guitars The owner, Alexander was very nice and accommodating, and he also showed me multiple guitars and they were very cheap but beautiful of looks and sound, he sold me a Coronet nylon stringed guitar, the following is on the picture.

Yelp
Upgraded my Squire Strat and Lucio set up and installed the loaded pick guard, set the intonation on the bridge, adjusted the nut to complete the mod mission. Now I can't put this thing down!

Yelp
Alex and his team are the best! Friendly and always prompt with repairs. Always enjoy going to the shop.

Yelp
Went to get my bass guitar serviced. They had it sounded great in a matter of minutes. And they didn't charge me, but I did leave a tip. While I was waiting, I noticed they have a great selection of guitars. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Great shop. Packed to the rafters with everything from rare, vintage, expensive guitars and gear to the mass-market cheapo stuff that's great if you're just starting out as a musician (or need something for a gig in a hurry). I've seen (and snagged) some fairly rare gear here. And there's always new stuff coming in. Good vibe, though it is very cramped inside.

Yelp
One of the best family owned guitar shops in the LA area. Alex, the owner is a very personable and good guy. Their luthier works on guitars for the love of them, unlike most. Setups are $55 for exceptional work, they truly love the guitars like their own and take great care of them with good turn around times. The shop tries to keep prices down as much as possible. Good place, definitely recommend.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Marina Music. Very knowledgeable people who will give you their time and the best deal (selling/buying/trading).

Yelp
I brought my Paul Reed Smith guitar here from a friends referral, I had it set up at guitar center and it sounded like crap for $100.00, Marina music set it up and put new strings on it and now it plays like butter! Thanks

Yelp
Alex was awesome and helped a lot choosing a guitar for my dad! The store has a huge selection of guitars and other music instruments also they can help you fix or repair your instrument. I will definitely be back and highly recommend for you guys as well.

Yelp
This place is like a secret gem for serious guitar players. The setups I've had done here have always been outstanding - beautiful low action, great intonation -- my guitars end up feeling like brand new! I've had guitars set up in many places over the last 20 years on both the east and west coast and I can honestly say that what I've gotten here has been the best I've ever seen. Thank you Alex and everyone there!

Yelp
That's a cool place to go! Especially when they have exactly what I was looking for!!! This guitar I bought was a rarity, and I wanted to thank Alex for the most AMAZING, AMAZING, UNBELIEVABLE GUITAR from Paracho ( you know what I mean? He has a very interesting selection of guitars at excellent prices)!!!!! Oh I am so INCREDIBLY stoked on this thing!!!! It was made by a señor Velasquez de Paracho!!!! It's my dream come true, literally! And I couldn't be happier.. I immediately paid the asking price because it was such a good deal!!! Interesting guys to talk to down there. Cool and Perfect deal! I'm ecstatic as you may have guessed by now!!1 Thank you Mr A!

Yelp
It's where my third bass in life was purchased! I'll never forget Betty's music store and the small studio our band Meltdown used many nights to prepare.
google avatar

Jordan C.

Yelp
I work nearby and needed to get my bass set up so I figured I'd try here for no other reason than the vicinity. They charged me less than they originally quoted me for the set up and even fixed something they found wrong with my bass that isn't part of your typical set up. They also made sure I got it back in one day (needed for a rehearsal), no extra charge. If I was going to be nitpicky, the only problem I had at the store was when I first arrived, the guy at the front looked like he was watching a youtube video or something and took took about a minute to acknowledge that I was there so I was kind of just awkwardly standing there until he noticed, but once he did he was nice and helpful.

Yelp
I do not make it a habit to write reviews unless I had an experience that was either really good or awful. Sadly, this was awful. I came in to purchase a violin on my mother's behalf for my nephew on 12/24. I know nothing about violins, other than the most obvious. I called ahead of time and was told I could get a violin for $150.00 with the case included. When I got there it was all of a sudden $220.00. I was told that the price changed was because this was a new violin and the others were used. The salesman suppossedly tuned the violin, but that evening (Christmas Eve) when my nephew opened it and began to play violin, it was out of tune. Due to Christmas falling on a Sunday, my bother-in-law waited until 12/27 (my mother's birthday) to take my nephew to sign up for violin classes and get help tuning the violin. The instructor looked at violin and noticed that the pegbox and bridge were defective and would not be able to hold a tune. She also noticed issues with the bow and said the cost to fix it would be too much as the violin was very poor quality. My nephew came back like a puppy with his tail between his legs and we did not understand why. He attempted to tune the violin himself, and the string broke. We noticed how sad he looked and he hesitated but told us what he was told by the violin instuctor which embarassed us all. He requested we please return the violin and not get him a new one. I went to probe why, he told me because he was sad that the violin was not a good one and hated having to tell his abuela. This was so sad. I trusted the salesman to sell me a usable violin, as I am not a violin player and have no idea what to look for in such an instrument. On 12/28 I took back the violin. I was trying to explain to the salesman what I was told, but he got so defenssive it was impossible to have him hear me out. I requested a refund and was told that he would only give me $200.00, when I paid a total of $242.55 (tax included). He refused to give me a ful refund because a sting was broken. I believe that the violin was of very poor quality because when I went to pick up the violin in the case, I barely touched the strap when it broke before entering the store to return it. I also was told by the salesman that the violin I was sold can be "tuned and stay in tune, but not by a beginner kid". If that is the case why did he sell this violin. I needed a violin my nephew could tune and play himself. Again, I explained my nephew's needs for a violin and trusted he'd sell me the best one in accordance to what I was informing him. He also stated, "you get what you pay for; can't expect a cheap violin to have the quality of an expensive one." So, he knew he sold be a poor quality instrument and as Rumplel S. said on the post of 1/24/2022, "this guy is a con artist..." He conned me out of $42.55 for a broken string. He also stated that he understands "buyers remorse". The only remorse I have is the embarrassment my family experienced over this Christmas gift and that I trusted I would be sold a violin that would meet my nephews needs.

Rumplel S.

Yelp
This guy is a con artist and talks you in to fixing your instrument and then puts the wrong strings on it. I was taken advantage of. So upset I didn't want to confront him and spent more money for new strings and did it my self and then fixed my strap how I wanted it originally , which works much better then what ever he did...... I'm actually did a way better job then the dude that runs this store. I recommend going else wear and not being persuaded that this dudes way, the only way, is the right way, or he knows best. "Dogmatically trying to make a dollar makes you several dollars pourer in the end", dude.

Zach S.

Yelp
Alex and his team are amazing. Honest and knowledgeable. Their prices are more than fair, and they won't take advantage of you if you are less than knowledgeable about what you need. I always support these guys whenever I can. If you want to get ripped off by people who work on commission, try to sell you crap you don't need, and don't even necessarily know what they are talking about, you can go to Guitar Center. Otherwise, come to Alex and the guys at Marina. You can't put a price on honesty, and that's what these guys are all about.
google avatar

Tony H.

Yelp
Very enlightening visit this morning. Alex is very nice, very knowledgable. I went in to check out used guitars and ended up having an hour long visit with Alex, actually a music lesson! Beyond words. I am most grateful for this impromptu stop today. Eye-opening. I will be back for sure. Thank you Alex.

Yelp
This spot rips. Alex is the man. He sold me this super-bitchin' 75 japanese Les Paul rip-off for about 1/3 the price I would have paid at Guitar Center of some shop that has "vintage" or "retro" in the name. People, there is nothing cool about buying gear at Guitar Center or Musicians friends. I've done it. I'm not proud of it. And I only do it after I've searched (hard) at places like Marina Music. This is cool. I went in late. Right at closing time. And instead of getting rushed out, Alex sits me down in the back for a guitar lesson (free), tells me a story about the guitar I just bought (yeah, this was after I bought it), introduces me to a "bouzouki" (way cool sounding greek stringed instrument), and threw in this old killer guitar case free.
google avatar

Aaron K.

Yelp
Turnaround on guitar repair was super reasonable - I got my basses back within two-three days. Lucio was a charismatic salesperson ha :) part of the fun of coming to a local place such as this was seeing how much time and care they put into their work.
google avatar

Tom T.

Yelp
Remember the old days when you could walk into a music shop and received a greeting and they let you play before hounding you to death to buy or leave and Remember the days when you walked into a guitar shop and there was much more to it than just the same old, same old? Well,if you do,then this is the shop for you! I could hear a kid getting a guitar lesson in the background and the gear is a nice mixture of cheapies for the beginner and new and vintage stuff for the connoisseur as well as drums & cymbals and other exotic gear like standup bass and banjos. I wasn't expecting much from this little unassuming shop and the clerk was nice and not a pain in the ass like the others are in the big-box stores.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Gives off a classic music shop feel. Instruments everywhere you can see, guitars, basses, drums, everything. The owner, Alex, is one of the nicest man you'll ever meet. Before you jump to guitar center, give this place a shot. I'm sure you'll find exactly what you want
google avatar

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I had been going to other local repair shops for several years before I found this place, and I've never been to another repair shop since. Above all else, these guys are HONEST PEOPLE. They do what honest people do. Honest people dont try to sell you stuff you dont need. Honest people dont ask for more than what is fair. Honest people dont promise what they cant deliver. They are honest about their limitations. Honest people are honest in thier words and actions. Honest people do honest business. They tell the truth. And when you talk and interact with honest people, it makes you feel good So yeah. I think these guys are great. They are so kind and knowledgeable and truly passionate. And honest.

Yelp
Love Alex and I love Lou. Excellent guitar repairs and great prices. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lynn C.

Yelp
Alex is one of the coolest and talented musicians I know. He has become a good friend over the years of my buying guitars. But the Real VIP is LOU!! Lou has worked on several of my guitars and his work is amazing... I get my guitar back the same day if I need it and he does extra things like checking pots etc. at no charge if I am having pick ups installed or a fret job.. The prices can't be touched. Highly recommend Alex and Lou!

Ken C.

Yelp
Simply the best used instrument store in LA. Alex will not take advantage of, and offers the best service for the best prices in LA.

Yelp
Bought a Soprano Ukulele here a few months ago and it has turned out great :) brand name "Kala" which is either not real or has no other models of Ukes out there. I went in wanting a beginner ukulele as I had never played before. I checked out a few places before and all were around $80 for a good uke. I paid more at Marina. I definitely was over charged for the ukulele I purchased at Marina, but it's my fault for not doing proper research. They restrung the uke for me as I play left-handed and the owner reluctantly gave me a cheap bag for the uke after I asked as I was leaving, which I appreciated. I tell myself I paid for the service which was great, but the fact that I went in there saying I knew nothing about the instrument seemed to have given away that I would pay more. Good store though :)

Edward L.

Yelp
Honest to Gawd! One of the quickest and most complete turnaround services I've ever received. I brought in a Parker P-38 for them to address fret buzz, tuning and scratchy pot issues. This was about 4 pm on a Friday and I had that puppy back Saturday at about 3 pm and it is playing and sounding like a dream. At a reasonable service fee, I might add. At any rate, I know where I will get my luthier services from now on as long as I live in SoCal.

Yelp
My journey to this place all started with a simple assignment in High School about 10 yrs ago: "Think of someone you'd like to find, and see if you can find them on the Internet." I thought of my 4th grade teacher, he would play the guitar in class and introduced me to the Beatles. I didn't find him but I continued looking every once in a while. Sometimes I got close, finding an article about him on a Colorado newspaper, but mostly had dead ends. A couple of months ago I found his music in a children's program online. I emailed him and it led to a back and forth correspondence, which led to me telling him how cool it was that he played guitar and I wish I could play, which led to him saying, "OK, here's one of my guitars." So the guitar needed a lil bit of work, and I was directed by him and his friend who had been the caretaker of the guitar, to this place: Marina Music Center. I was nervous, I forgot what the guitar needed.....how do I hold it? As soon as I walked in my nerves were put to ease. Lucio, the dude behind the counter right away said "Let me guess, you broke a string." Yay! He didn't notice right away that I had no idea how to play or even hold a guitar. I explained it needed a string or 2. . . . .and other stuff. He took it, carefully inspected it, and told me what it needed. He said it with such assurance .....he already KNEW this guitar better than I did. He made me feel like the guitar was in safe (and VERY knowledgeable hands). When I came back, he remembered me and gave me a lot of advise on what to do and what not do to. So now the goal is to learn how to play a song by/for Christmas. That might be tough, but I have comfort in knowing that if a string breaks, I can take it to Marina Music Center.

Yelp
Mario's review below makes me smile. Alex, the owner, never misses an opportunity to show off on the bouzouki! Actually, he shreds on any stringed instrument! I love this shop. Nobody pressures you to buy anything. If you take a guitar off the rack, they don't stare. You're pretty much free to take your time, walk around, and play the guitars. It's a little dusty and cluttered, but they have some good stuff. The prices for equipment and services are the best in the Santa Monica, Venice and South Bay areas. I've been going to Marina Music Center for about 7 years now primarily to get my guitars tuned by Lou. (He's the guy setting up a Les Paul in one of the photos above.) He has set up all of my guitars and basses. Lou can fix anything. I live right on the beach, which is not good for my guitars. The set neck on my Gibson SG got slightly warped, and it just killed the sustain on the high notes. The techs at two of the more well-known shops in Santa Monica and Venice were confounded, but Lou fixed the problem. Also, if you use odd tuning, like I do on my Les Paul, he'll get it. Lou is really quick, which is great when you have an equipment problem the day before a show. He has never let me down. I just bought a guitar yesterday that needs a serious tuneup. You know where I'm taking it.

Yelp
Alex, the owner, is nothing short of an amazing human being. Yes, his system for explaining music (Ecometry) is brilliant, and he's really in it for the love of music. But to top it off, every time I'm broke and need to sell a piece of gear, he gives me the time of day and a fair price. Thanks, Alex! I'll be sure to check out the new Ecometry App! Namaste!

Yelp
Marina music is the greatest music shop in LA. Come to a non corporate owned music shop with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner who is honest and fair. The shop specializes in used instruments of all kinds. They also have a really good repair guy with good prices and fast service. You can buy sell or trade here. Alex is also the inventor of the most amazing new music theory system and has a mobile app. check out his site: echometry.com I don't work for him I'm just a big fan of his shop and music theory system.

Yelp
My experience with this shop has been amazing! I have been going to Guitar Center for adjusting my strat, paying more and getting horrible strat setups every time. But let me say that Alex and Lucio know their trade very very well. They adjusted my strat perfect, plays like a cake and sounds great. Here, you will not find your college kid with 3 month experience to service your guitar, instead you will meet people who are honest, passionate, very reasonably priced and most importantly are well experienced. Thank you guys and specially Alex (owner) who has been the most accommodating I have seen in this business! See you next time.

Bob G.

Yelp
Like an idiot I first went to Timewarp Music on Venice Boulevard. After suffering horrible customer service there for two days (!), I wisely drove down Centinela to Marina Music Center. I was in and out in a few pleasant minutes with exactly what I needed at a very fair price. Most importantly I felt like I was being treated with respect. The nice personal interaction with Alex made the whole experience just that much more enjoyable. I'll never waste my time at Timewarp again. From now on, Marina Music Center will always get my used musical equipment business!

Yelp
Alex has been running this little shop for the past 20+ years. He knows what he likes and has a good collection of mics, amps, and guitars. Besides that, he's a pretty cool guy. The last time I came in, he spent 20 min showing me a music theory app he developed. You can tell he's just a guy who likes music and wants to share that knowledge with every one that walks thru the door. Thanks for the lesson!

Yelp
This place rocks! I came here in search of a distortion pedal for my guitar that wouldn't break the bank (i.e., cheap girl's Tube Screamer), and the owner pointed me towards the Boss DS-1. Just tried it out at home, and for only 45 bucks, it's amazing and packs a lot of punch. The settings allow for a lot of variety with the amount of fuzz you want. The guy at Marina Music was super nice and funny, and took the time to help me find the perfect pedal at a great price. Also, they don't stare at you or push you to buy things the way stores like Guitar Center do. Definitely coming back next time I need anything!

Yelp
Super small neighborhood music/repair shop. Although it's small and rustic they are the most helpful and savvy guys I've come across in LA. No BS no appt needed and they solved my guitar issue in literally under 5 seconds. I call him the Greek guitar guru. So these guys are cool, old timers with the experience and sense of humor that make you walk out the door feeling happy and more knowledgeable about your piece.

Yelp
One of the coolest shops if you are looking for pre-war guitars. They can fix your gggreat grandfather's guitar and make it look like new, too!

Yelp
Marina is the Best shop in LA hands down... Alex is a legend and his breadth of music knowledge is amazing. A great person who will make time to chat with you. His conversations will inspire you. I've gone to every shop in LA and I'm disappointed in myself for not checking out Marina years ago. Would have saved me a lot of headaches... Luscio is a hidden gem. His guitar repair work is impeccable. I can't speak enough on this... I've spent tons of money on trying to find a decent repair service. I'm sure I've missed a few good ones but Luscio's is my guy. HIGHLY recommend him for any work. Do yourself a favor and go to Lucio.

Yelp
Guess it must have been the heat. I live nearby and was told that this was a great place to get good used gear. I was looking for a Tele and brought in cash to buy but no one in the store had any interest in selling gear. There was a Tele, but when I asked about it, all I got was the price - nothing more. Not that I am the talkative type, but I thought it strange - I asked about an acoustic and I knew more about the guitar than the owner. That would be common for Guitar Center, etc..., but you'd figure they would know about a basic Yamaha. That said, maybe I caught them on a bad day. It was 90 degrees out and no air conditioning in the store. Could make anyone a bit grumpy and slow. I did buy a Tele and it's fantastic. Just didn't buy from MMC.

Yelp
This is my go-to guitar shop. Not just to buy amps and guitar odd 'n ends, but also guitar repair. Super helpful dudes. They fixed my son's guitar in minutes flat. Was expecting to drop off and pick up, but no need, they were that fast. And very affordable, as well. I hope this place sticks around for a long time!

Yelp
Honestly, Alex is the kind of store owner everyone dreams of dealing with. As long as you're fair with the price you ask, they're fair with the price they settle in. Had everything here, but used. I recommend coming to a place like this instead of guitar center or Sam ash, you'll save 40% at least. Terrific people, fantastic selection. Found my new music home.

Yelp
This is the Oracle. This man, owner Alex Sioris, is a genius (exaggerated, but highly likely) and has created an app that measures sound and basically saves a musician/guitarist 72x the amount of time. It's called Echometry. You should download. It all Makes sense now. Oh, and The guitars are iced, soft, loud and all the beauty of age in between. Bravo and thank you for the introduction. I look forward to purchasing more music gear from here on forward. #Found
