The pillows and the beach access are the only redeeming features at this newly refurbished hotel.|It certainly is not five star.|Take a look at how it’s done in Fairmont,|Old Course|Gleneagles|Balbirnie||Having visited pre Covid we expected the same high standard and comfort. We took along some friends and we were really disappointed in the service offered over the three days.|The cold austere spa is the worst I have ever used|No soft lighting , no warm welcoming room.then the quiet rest area so dark the magazines could not be read.!!!|Austere and cold but my facial was a delight.Felt like a public baths .|A few lessons could be taken from the afore mentioned hotels.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We had a really large room but our friends room was a lot smaller. All the staff were very pleasant especially the lads behind the bar but we did experience a few issues whilst having dinner in the bar (plates and glasses not being taken away etc.). But the food was excellent and we all really enjoyed our stay there.

Attended a family wedding and had a glorious time. Beautiful views and excellent facilities (very good food), as well as superb and friendly service. Special mention must go to Leo and Chris, who were pretty much constantly behind the bar for the entire event. They made a special day very easy.

I was a little concerned after looking at recent reviews, but I had nothing to worry about!||Stunning hotel set in a gorgeous location. From the moment we walked in the reception staff were warm & welcoming. We had used the online chat to let them know we would be arriving early and they had our room ready, which was great. We had a minor issue with our room but it was sorted out promptly without any hassle.||Rooms are grand yet modern, spacious and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep.||The views are amazing! Well worth the upgrade to sea view rooms.||Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would agree with some reviews of the younger staff at breakfast and at the bar, not necessarily inline with other staff we encountered (or for the price of the hotel) but it didn’t hinder our stay.||I’d recommend splashing out on this hotel for a treat! Hopefully we will be back soon.

Had a great stay. And plenty of parking if you're hiring a car for your holiday. That was a huge point of making the stay during the golf trip outstanding was having a car to get around and not rely on the train and/or the tour bus driver. I think Americans who chose to hire a car for their trip will find it makes the trip so much better. And Marine North Berwick had plenty of parking to suffice for multiple cars in your group.

Walking out the hotel gate down to the first tee is an experience that is hard to beat. Stayed here in 2018 and again last week, the new lobby is incredible and the staff made it feel like a small boutique hotel. They had our 12 sets of clubs waiting every morning and catered to every need our group could through their way. From the moment the front desk greeted our group to the team at the spa, everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home

I had a wonderful two days at the Marine North Berwick last week. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, I felt thoroughly spoilt! All the staff were super helpful and my room was absolutely fantastic, with the most splendid views. I am very much looking forward to my next trip! 😊

We love the Marine North Berwick so much that we always fit one stay every year. Hotel is gorgeous and staff are extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant wit its Italian menu is good too and the choices for breakfast and lunch are very good. We also tried the afternoon tea which may could include more savoury options and less scones ! Bu we will be back next May !

Great location located on North Berwick golf course. Pros: 1. Clean hotel (lobby, rooms, garden, spa) 2. Friendly staff. They went out of their way to help. 3. Great breakfast selection to suit everyone's taste. Cons: 1. Small rooms (our Jr. suite was no larger than a regular courtyard room). 2. Bed cover is a thick blanket (no sheets). Sweat for a while, kick off the sheet and be cold for a while. Seems typical in UK. 3. No plug in for a dryer in the bathroom. 4. Spa - Jacuzzi water temp is lukewarm. Steam sauna room had musty odor. Generally a good hotel, but certainly not up to the standards of equal value hotels of US or Asia.

The hotel is in an unrivalled location, minutes from the bustle of the charming town centre whilst remaining quite and peaceful. The rooms are of a reasonable size, the restaurant is surprisingly good and the staff are helpful and attentive. Recommended for one-night stays in what is undoubtedly an unspoiled and traditional Scottish town.

Marine Hotel. North Berwick. May 2nd 2014 ---5pmish Glasses of prosesco and nibbles. Divine!!! Beautiful view of the sea. Wonderful spa. The relaxation room was wonderful. Really may to return. I was a bit miffed though, the waiting staffs' clothes were dirty and unclean. A bit off putting. My friend a glad of prosceco and complimentary nibbles which I would have been happy to pay for. Beautiful location.

Painful. Waiter slammed the wine glass on the table. Host shouted at waiters across tables. Food was average. Service discourteous. If you want to pay for bland food and poor service, this is your place.
