Marini Farm Stand

This farm stand and corn maze are always a lot of fun. It's a huge farm with a lot of kid-friendly activities and games. There are two corn mazes, one is 1 acre, and the other is 8 acres, but they provide you a flag pole, just in case you get lost in either of them. There are carnival games, climbing playgrounds, and a large bouncy bubble on site for the kids to play on, which are all included with your ticket for entry. There is a lot of free parking on-site, port-a-potties, and a farm stand, which has a separate, but still free, parking lot. There is also a tractor ride that is also included with your purchased ticket.

Amazing weather for a perfect day at this farm! Visiting from New Jersey and it was a ton of fun for kids and adults! Price is extremely reasonable for everything you get unlimited! Several areas for kids to play in including: slides, corn mazes, pirate ship, tractor pulled train, a big jumping trampoline, and more! We rode the hay ride and there were several characters; spiders man, Goofy, Gru and tons more giving candy to the kids to put in the goodie bags they provide!

I love this beautiful farm store! This trip we purchased a dynamite pie. BIG MISTAKE! We should have bought TWO!! This is seriously the freshest, most delicious pie in memory! My goodness. Looks as though we'll be returning tomorrow for another.

We booked a hayride to a bonfire / smores and had a perfect night! Mike Marini drove the tractor for the hayride and his buddy, Jim, stayed out in the field with us to replace firewood and to help us with anything else that we needed. I highly recommend booking this!! This also included the corn maze but it was too chilly out for us. Both guys had great personalities and were genuinely happy to help us and happy that we were there. I wouldn't have chanced a thing!

A great spot for fresh baked goods and family-friendly activities. They have a nice variety of desserts, especially pies and cookies. The place is fun for a day out, but I wish there were more staff around to help with questions. Overall, it’s a solid choice for some good treats and a family visit.

Absolutely fantastic. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the staff was really friendly and all seemed happy and in a great mood! They have lovely fire pit sitting areas for people not going through the maze. They have games and activities for kids of all ages. They also have an attached farm stand and fresh apple cider and donuts. Huge selection of pumpkins and more. There is an 8 acre corn maze that took the kids about an hour to complete and they had a ball. We went during the evening after dark. With the music playing and everyone smiling and happy, it felt more like a county fairgrounds than a simple farm stand. This is definitely a place to visit! I think we are going again, soon!

My family has gotten our Christmas trees at Marini for the past 2 years, and we've been thoroughly impressed with the quality and longevity of the trees. They are beautiful, full, healthy, and last well through the holidays. The prices are refreshingly reasonable and the staff is kind and attentive. So pleased we discovered this little gem. 🎄

The kids had fun yes, but this was crazy expensive. We paid $80 for our family of 4 . $19.99 per person is crazy. Most places similar that we have been to charge per CHILD, not for the adults. . My husband I just sat and watched my child play for about an hour, while my toddler napped in stroller . They should only be charging for the children in my opinion, not the adults. Its literally all kid stuff. We live right in Ipswich and its a shame that my family cannot afford this. :(

Came for the corn maze and was not disappointed. The have a website where you can track yourself which is what I took to be my job as i watched from the back as my friends made poor decisions :) We still got out in under an hour. There were other activities in the area which were nice for photos.

My family went on a weekend morning just before 10. There weren't too many people there yet. There is two parking lot, one for the corn maze and one for the marketplace. The corn maze parking lot is larger to accommodate those staying longer whereas the marketplace parking lot is in-front if the storefront for easy access to the produce. We allowed the kids to amuck in the pumpkin patch. The staff wore masks and were kind. There are wagons in the field so you can carry the pumpkin in so you don't have to haul it for a distance. You can pay outside for your pumpkin or inside of the marketplace. There were several photo ops set up. There were rows of pumpkins, two large wooden lawn chairs, a hay roll seating area, and a tractor. There is also a barn with an angry looking donkey. The market place is wonderful. There is plenty of produce inside and other refrigerated units for frozen and perishable items. The cranberry oatmeal white chocolate cookies are amazing, the apple cider donuts are delicious, and the corn were sweet. Definitely bring the little ones here if you are in the area. I haven't taken the kids to the pirate ship or the Harry Potter themed corn maze this year but I imagine is must be fun for the older children.

Great place for pumpkin picking and there is a farm store with baked goods! There are lots of activities for kids. Really glad we chose this farm.

Marini's Farm Stand is outstanding all the way around. What started out as a small family run farm has grown to meet the demand and greatly expanded its offerings never losing one iota of quality. What originally brought me here was it's legendary butter sugar corn which is consistently great. When it's available definitely try the Meree corn. Pick the tomatoes up and smell them. They smell like real tomatoes not like the supermarkets. All of the veggies are sure bets. The bakery goods are off the hook. I don't have a favorite because it's all great. Marini also sells Richardson ice cream in the tub. Newly added is the clam and corn chowder both are great. If you're in a festive mood mix them.

I love this farm and the corn is delicious, produce is very fresh and the young people that work there are very helpful.

Tried to get a slice but all sold out, I will definitely be back. A lot of authentic Italian goods. Sweets and desserts are really good, as is their frozen large ravioli's. Great place to pick up things you can't find at a typical grocery.

I searched local apple orchards and Marino's came up. I was pretty disappointed to arrive and learn that they don't sell their own apples in the farm stand. As a farmer myself, I was disappointed at how little local produce was available. If you're looking for an afternoon activity and don't mine crowds, you'd probably like it here.

Might as well dangle this carrot, seeing as how season has ended. The day prior to the farm closing up shop, Melissa A, Jocelyn C and I found the greatest and best thing in the history of things that project humans upward: the jumping pillow. More on that in a hot minute. Marini's actual farm stand must be excluded from the review because there was practically nothing left. Crops were done. A few bags of apples napped on the AstroTurf shelving, a potato or thirty, discounted snack mixes at the counter and a beverage cooler that screamed "This convenience store is drug front!" with its sparse offerings. Not much to behold because hey, season's over. Now for the good stuff: we cashed in our BuyWithMe deal which offered entrance to their maize maze, a shot at the corn cannon (wha?) and 20 long minutes on the jumping pillow (double wha?) This was my first corn maze experience, and like any first experience, I found myself with two girls, confused while holding a map and flag. It's a very large maze, with color-coded sections and game stations along the way. Catering to the true puzzle junkies, the record time to beat the labyrinth mandates visiting all the stations, so "follow a single wall" folks be forewarned: you'll find the exit, but come up short on completed tasks, which include word finds, secret-decoders and uncheatables like symbol etchings. Genius! The corn cannon ended up being a glorified potato gun, launching the much more seasonal apple at plywood targets - a witch, a jack-o-lantern and the flag of Finland (triple wha?) - through craftily conjoined pressurized air, release valve and big, effing pipe. Mythbusterish fun, if sad for the apples. "Someday I'm gonna get big and fat and a kid will eat me after lunch and grow up healthy and strong!" - Nope, sorry dawg. I'm using this stick to jam you in a tube and launching you at Finland. "Oh." And finally, the jumping pillow - a new addition for the 2010 season. Picture a bounce house without walls, netting or an overhead. Now triple the jumping space, double the height potential and put three adults on it. Ya feel me? An activity you can't help but laugh hysterically the entire time you're performing, this Trump of the trampoline is worth the trip on its own. Oh Fall 2011, how soon can you get here?

This is such a wonderful farm. Great people expanding ways to make farming sustainable. Very knowledgeable and kind. Great place to bring your family and kids. Please keep the trick or treat hay rides.

Strawberry fields forever! Drive a bit past the Marini Farm Stand and park in the school parking lot on the right. The strawberry picking fields are on the other side of the street. At $2.99/lb, plus the unofficial all-you-can-eat-while-picking rule, these PYO strawberries are damn tasty and also a pretty good deal (I got three heaping quarts of ripe berries for $13). There are at least a couple of different varieties-- we found some delicious but monstrously huge ones along with smaller, sweeter berries-- so scope out the situation before you pick. Or, better yet, try a little of each. Note to those who never have cash on them: the PYO field takes cards! Huzzah, technology! The farm stand up the road was somewhat odd in that it was stocked with out-of-season or non-New England produce (sorry, I refuse to believe those mangoes are from Massachusetts) along with farm-fresh, seasonal veggies. Tons of yummy baked goods, including apple cider donuts, abound. This farm stand would be a great place to get a gift for the foodie in your life, or also just for yourself.

I would give this five stars if it wasn't for a few issues that we had. As far as like corn mazes and fun places to play in the fall it's not bad I definitely have been to places I have a lot more stuff and that costs around the same. I mean there's definitely a lot of climbing structures here and The jumping pillow. I do really like the corn maze being easy to get out of with little kids. However that just really isn't much to do for like more than 2 hours. But then I walked up to the farm stand and I think it's wonderful however my son who's three was having a hard time and everyone could clearly see that and I was trying to move him but he was pretty upset and an employee came over and yelled at me to move out of the way as I was moving out of the way so I wasn't too happy about that. But the farm stand was really great full of all sorts of things and not super expensive. My kids love the strawberries overall it's not bad I don't know if I'll be back for the playing part but I'll definitely be back for the farm stand

There are two farms in Ipswich where one may go to pick their own strawberries. Between Russell Orchard and Marini's Farm Stand, Marini's was the closer of the two to Boston, and so we decided to go there. On the way over, we passed what we thought might be a strawberry field to our left, with a couple of individuals squatting or leaning over amongst the rows of low green bushes, before we happened upon Marini's Farm Stand also to our left - turns out we were correct! Pick up a low box of 6 green quart sized baskets in the covered area to the side of the farm stand and either take that walk back to the field, or drive your car the short distance to the parking lot across the street from the field. Warning - my group spotted a brown snake by the water along the way. Yes - eek! It was a warm, grey cloudy morning when we came to pick our berries, which was just perfect since we were tired and sweaty after about an hour of crouching and picking red berries among the green leaves and the unripe little white fruit. I also liked that we had the field all to ourselves for the most part. With the berries we had picked by the sweat of our brow all piled up in the little green baskets, we headed back to the farm stand to pay for our fruit. Guess they work on the honor system here. At $2.59/lb, my 3 non-heaping baskets at 3.22lb. tallied $8.34. They take credit cards here. If I had just wanted to pick up my strawberries straight from the farm stand, a heaping quartful goes for $5.99. They sell biscuits to go with them too, as well as other baked goods, fruits, veggies, and boxed pastas and bottled sauces, among other things. A single unisex bathroom was available in the farm stand, as well as portapotties by the strawberry field. To improve the farm experience, it would have been nicer if the field wasn't located right on the road, but c'est le vie! I noticed a separate area that looked like a children's play area, but we didn't visit, so no real comment here. They are also noted to have a corn maze during the autumn season from September to early November.

I've been shopping at Marinj Farm for years now. However, this was the first year I participated in their CSA and I have to say, they made Wednesday my new favorite day of the week. It's been such a delight picking up my share each week and looking forward to trying new recipes for the produce I was getting. I also have to say that the amount of produce I got each week was incredibly abundant for the seasonal price. Everything was outstanding and it was nice how in addition to fruits and vegetables, I also got flowers, pumpkins, etc. I can't wait to participate again next year! Thank you!

HUGE cornmaze. Insanely large and pretty well coordinated. They have a safety video, flashlights, and maps for your maze adventure. They also fully succeed in creating a maze that even adults can get lost in. We got thoroughly lost and enjoyed ourselves in the process. There are employees that walk around and are stationed at a few locations within the maze. I would NOT recommend doing the whole thing with small children. Might be best to retrace your steps or make sure you have allotted two hours and they have gone to the bathroom prior to heading into the maze. The farm stand also has a great selection of produce, breads, and pumpkins, with great apple cider!

Great family friendly farm! Went there with a family, enjoyed every moment and so many activities for kids and yammi treats at the farm market!! I love supporting local farms!

Marini's has been a longstanding favorite for my husband and his Ipswich-based family. This is THE place to go for picking berries, corn mazing, and unbeatable fresh farm produce. When we went last weekend to get some strawberries, with the season presumably over, we were happily encouraged to find quarts and quarts worth of quality berries still to be had (and boy were they YUMMY).

I just want to say that this farm stand is the best. Not only because they have the best of local fruits and vegetables. The bakery has the tastiest scones. But the best is the customer service. Mike Marini thank you for making my day by coming out to get me when I thought the bakery was closed. The scone is what I was wanting and it was exactly what you had. Thank you for making my day. Customer service, I dont think so. So on Wednesday, I stopped @ Marini Farm Stand looking for a bushel of green tomatoes and green peppers. The young clerk took my name and contact information and said that they would call me when the bushels were ready. By the time I got home I received the call; So the next day I drove over to pick up my produce. When I arrived, I spoke to the young lady at the register she said she would get the person who's responsible for that. She returned unable to find him but others were searching for him. Five minutes later the clerk left the counter again looking for him. Finally the gentleman showed up he came to the counter and said to the clerk "I'm going to take care of the customers in line. The clerk then pointed out that I was the one who was looking for the 2 bushels. He ignored her completely and started to cash out the people in line. I thought he would go through 2 or 3 people and then take care of me, however after 25 to 30 minutes he did not even look up at me. I had enough and walked out. When I arrived home the phone rang and it was the gentleman from Marini's. I told him "That was the worst customer service I had ever seen." His reply was....Well there were a lot of people in line. To which I replied "Your customer service stinks." and hung up. Bottom line, I was the 1st customer in line and he chose to ignore me. Marini Farm has lost my business. Which is sad because I'm been going there for 20 years without issues.

We were so happy to discover this farm store. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits and a good selection of refrigerated cheeses, etc. We had looked long and far for a small grocery store in this area and were delighted to find such good local produce

Marini's Farm has just opened their bakery. I am a French Baguette aficionado and I have to say their French baguette is superb! It is A bit pricey but well worth the flavor, chew and texture!! Think French Baguette with a tad more moisture(not a bad thing!). A REAL winner!!!

This place is a gem! No crowded parking lots or long lines to get in. Very inexpensive for what this farm has to offer. The corn maze was awesome! Decent sized farmers market with fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods. My husband and I had a great time here.

Great farm super cute awesome bakery,nice place to get pumpkins they have all kinds.the cookies are delicious too and there very big. They sell richardsons ice cream Not to mention the produce is pretty good lots of different local veggies to choose from.

I loved coming to Marinis to buy groceries and let my kids play but that has now changed after a recent trip. My kids wanted to bounce in the bounce house and ride the peddle carts they offer so I went and paid the $21.95 for my two 6 year olds. As we tried to enter the kids only ride area I was informed that I had to pay for a bracelet too. So in order for me to make sure my children are safe and minding their manners I have to pay another full entry fee. Mind you none of the "attractions" are for adults. So I had to tell my children that we couldn't go because they wanted to charge us additional money. I will not be grocery shopping, pumpkin picking, or using the bakery any longer. Im disgusted at the greed.

Love love love. Such a great variety of fruits, vegetables, and squash (is a squash a fruit? a vegetable? will the world ever know?). I've only ever been in the fall, but it's the perfect fall retreat. The decorations are fantastic--pumpkins everywhere and a gauntlet of spooky witches! It looks like they updated a little bit to include a bar where you can order hot cider and other yummy baked goods. If you go in the fall and don't get the apple cider donuts, you're making a mistake. Seriously. Get back in your car, turn around, and go buy all the cider donuts.

I went to Marini Farm for my very first strawberry picking experience, and it was awesome! We went at the peak of strawberry season and arrived somewhat early to the farm. When we pulled up there were already a lot of people checking out and my competitive side went into crazy mode. Would there be enough strawberries for me?? What if they took all the big ones?? Lucky for us, there were TONS of strawberries to be picked. We easily filled up 3 containers with juicy, red, perfectly ripe berries. The strawberries were $2.59/lb -- a steal as opposed to buying directly from the farm stand -- and I believe we paid about $8 in total for all that we picked (they had square available so we used a credit card to pay). The strawberries were incredible. I may never go back to regular grocery store berries. We headed over to the actual stand after picking because we heard there was a festival going on. The festival wasn't anything too crazy -- really just a bunch of bouncy things for the kids. We decided to skip and just went inside the farm stand to peruse the fruit and veggies. We ended up leaving with a huge watermelon and a few dozen farm fresh eggs. There is also a green house attached to the stand and they were having some great 50% off sales the day we visited. The reason I deduct a star is simply because I didn't like that the fields were RIGHT next to the road. I was looking to totally leave the city behind for the day and seeing cars drive by as I was picking was a little distracting (I was also worried about one of the many kids running into the street!). I would absolutely still recommend berry picking at Marini Farms, but I wish I could just gather up the field and move it over! :)

Can't rave enough about how great these people are. I got my Christmas tree there last year and they were so awesome I swore I would be back (the tree was absolutely beautiful btw). I went back this year and same great service. I had them make up a wreath and two kissing balls and they were beautiful. I will not go anywhere else.

So we came to Marini's last Saturday to take part in the Corn Maze and other related activities. When I first heard "corn maze", I had a bad feeling, coming from the city and having some preconceived notions about what a farm looks like, but I set them aside as I spent a couple hours here. There's a lot of things at Marini's so I'll cover them in the order I went through. First up was the Corn Maze. I thought it was gonna be boring and confusing, but actually it was a lot of fun. Before you enter the maze, there is a video orientation talking about the maze and the rules for it. They also give you a worksheet and a crayon to finish a puzzle, in which clues are scattered all around inside the maze. At certain spots, there are maps that resemble those mall maps that say "You are here", except it doesn't say you are here. The borders of the maze are covered by ribbons, which are color-coded to indicate which part of the maze one is in. If you're not good with directions or spatial recognition, at the very least, bring comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting dirty; inside the maze, it is muddy at some points. Don't worry if you get lost either, because the staff there can always find you. The next thing we did was go on a hayride. The hayride goes up the hill, around the entire farm. Our guide was a pretty friendly person, and pointed out many functions of the crops, farm implements and surrounding area. After that, we went to the Apple Shooting spot. This is where apples are loaded into a cannon and people take turns shooting targets in order to win a pumpkin. It's harder than it sounds. Then off to the farmstand to check out foods and other produce to bring back. They have a wide assortment of vegetables ranging from potatoes and lettuce, cucumbers, scallops, pumpkins etc. Also they have $5 fried dough, which I passed on immediately. It was an unexpectedly fun trip. A couple hours away from technology does a person good. Also it was pretty relaxing and the people are friendly, both the staff and the people visiting Marini Farm. I'd come here again, but I'm too far :(

Great place to check out during the fall! Came here with some friends using a Groupon for the maze. We had a good laugh as the maze was surprisingly harder than we had anticipated. Everyone loved shooting the apple cannon as well. The farm stand had a huge array of produce - both imported and locally grown. They had some varieties of things you don't see often in conventional grocery stores (purple potatoes) as well as the things you'd expect. Picked up some of those purple potatoes and some mini-pumpkins, acorn squash and corn. The corn was delicious! Great prices and friendly staff. If you're in the area, you should definitely pay this farm a visit!

Marini's is a family farm, founded back in the late 1920s. They grow PERFECT strawberries (June) and corn (July to September). Their basil, tomatoes, cukes, zukes, lettuces, squashes, and bell peppers are always excellent. In late summer and fall, they carry peaches and apples from nearby orchards -- the sweetest and juiciest you'll find on the North Shore. When you're at Marini's, you can also pick up milk from the dairy two towns over and local cage-free eggs. Marini's sells bread from my favorite local bakery -- Klink's. Klink's makes several fabulous healthy-but-delicious types of bread, and the English muffin bread is the tastiest. I keep some in the freezer and whenever I serve it (as toast, grilled cheese, or sandwiches) no one can believe how exceptional this bread is. Last year Marini's started adding their own baked treats. Though the items I've tried so far were too sweet for my taste, as long as they keep the Klink's deliveries coming, I am happy. With each passing year, Marini's agri-tainment offerings grow. They run a huge corn maze, Xmas tree celebration, and more. My hope is that these operations will never detract from Marini's fine tradition of growing the most delicious produce in the area. Of course, small farms face huge challenges from harsh weather events, changing water access, and the fickleness of consumers, so creating new sources of revenue makes business sense. May this historic and wonderful farm be enjoyed by our grandchildren's grandchildren!

The best! Corn is best I've ever tasted. Look for crops that are grown at their farm - they're consistently good and fresh. Always pleasant checkout.

Went to Marini's Farm stand for the first time this weekend. I can't believe I've lived in the area so long and had never been! The produce is amazing so fresh and great prices for such high quality food! My favorite part has to be the bakery though. I've was overwhelmed by all of the delicious looking options. We decided on the apple cider donuts (complete with cinnamon sugar on them), blueberry scone, strawberry scone, and a monkey bread muffin. Yes. Monkey bread muffin. Everything was absolutely amazing. I cannot pick a favorite. I'm very picky about my baked goods and these were top quality. Amazing favors, not too dry or greasy. Just sheer perfection! Bakery staff was extremely nice and helpful. If you go and have a chance to chat with Erin in the bakery definitely do. She's so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. I can't wait to go back for more baked goods and fresh produce!

Picked up some Peppers/Onions and some Corn on the Cob . Very Fresh veggies tasted fantastic great quality.

I had been meaning to visit Marini Farm for a while now. I've long followed them on Twitter and Facebook, and yet I'd never made the trip to Ipswich. But then I was wooed by the BuyWithMe offer, and I needed a cool local place to buy some Christmas wreaths and a tree anyway, so that was that. We headed up there this afternoon. It was a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but that was fine with me. They had a lot of trees set up outside, all by height, and there were happy and helpful people ready and willing to take your chosen tree, wrap it up, and tie it to your car. All of the trees, to their credit I guess, were very "perfect-looking." You know the type: kind of like a triangle. I'm not a triangle kind of gal, though. I like shorties and fatties. Preferably both. I've had shorty fatties for the past several years, and they didn't have any trees that fit that description. So we had to get this more normal-looking tree. Hrmph. It's sitting in the stand right now, undecorated for the time being, as I try to learn to love it. I know this is my problem and not Marini's, but I kind of wish they had a little section for the freak trees, the island of misfit trees or something. That's where I'd find my kind of tree. Maybe next year. Inside the little shop, I found a lovely swag for my door, some wreaths, and some potatoes. Yes, potatoes. They have their own produce there too. So you can get your Christmas tree and some fresh local potatoes all in the same place. What's not to love?

AWESOME! Love this place! Fresh, beautiful selection of fruits and veggies. Not too expensive for the quality, in my opinion. It's worth the trip to me from Saugus to get their produce.

I NEVER leave reviews but had to about our day here... It was AMAZING!!!! It was my sons birthday and we were looking for something different to do, so we thought we would try this corn maze. So GLAD we did. The staff is wonderful, so accomodating and helpful, reason alone to go back. My kids loved all the attractions, the corn maze with the added acivities kept everyone interested, the jumping pillow that even my husband tried, the potato cannon and and the hayride with the sample of sweet corn (delicious!!!) plus a whole lot more. What I liked best about this farm is the family atmosphere. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We cant wait to go back to try the corn maze at night with a and to go strawberry picking in the spring. THANK YOU Marini Farms for such an enjoyable day!!!!!

Awful place. People gave my family and I attitude. Prices seemed a bit too much. Maybe we just went on a bad day, but it really wasn't what I expected.

Fantastic strawberries! Great place to get local vegetables and flowers, neat and clean bins. nice, friendly staff. The only item on my wish list would be organic options for the "deadly dozen."
