The 17 Best Sinaloan Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Named after Geovani Valenzuela’s pueblo, Los Sitios in Badiraguato, Sinaloa, this black trailer with neon green logo serves flavorful tostadas with callo de lobina (salt cured bass), aguachile ( spicy shrimp) doused with salsa negra, tomato juice, and a mouth-stinging salsa de chile chiltepín. Go tostada-less and order seafood botanas (snacks). And for big city flavors, order the Culiacán-style torre de mariscos, a spiral of stacked seafood and vegetables with an avocado crest drowned in an umami bland of salsa and lime juice." - Bill Esparza

Google
Must try if you like mariscos! Great flavors, super fresh seafood and overall great eats! Come through l, it's worth the drive!

Google
Overpriced 25dlls for the seafood hamburger my phone it's bigger than this it taste OK not big deal like the all seafood tostadas lemon, salt and chili powder that you complement with the commercial bottle salsas that they have here but nothing special, they have a couple tables but are dirty that nobody bothered to clean with dry spots that I try to clean but it's been there for a while that just don't go away, shrimp tacos with just a few on it, micheladas $5, I come because I was at the area and I checked the good reviews but maybe it was good and full a year ago now its empty and even the truck looks deteriorate

Google
First and last time going here! I paid $18 a botana mixta to go and was SERVED A FLY!! there is a DEAD FLY in my food! Never opened it until I was ready eat it, and half way through my meal, I see the fly. I remember seeing flies around the area but expected the place to keep food covered!! I had to throw up immediately, and kept vomiting until I didn't see food anymore. It's a one star due to cleanliness alone! I do not recommend it. No body should eat flies that carry diseases and maggots!!

Google
The bomb! The workers are super friendly, best Mariscos in all L.A in my opinion. The Mixtas are the bomb but in all everything they sell there is amazing and it taste super good.

Google
Yo this place it's of the hook, don't let the truck fool you. You will love it ask for the Hamburguesa De mariscos well worth the money. You will love the shrimp cocktails too, oh and the mix they do for the Micheldas is really good, don't forget you have to bring ur own beer. Check them out.

Yelp
Such a unique & delicious Mariscos food truck with some of the best ceviche you'll try. I wanted to post pictures, but as we ordered the "hamburgesa" - I happened to be the one to pick up the beautifully put together, giant mountain of seafood &&&...I tripped and it fell apart! We were so sad that we didn't get a picture BUT nothing was dropped on the floor. Silver lining! We ordered the hamburgersa, mixto tostada, & a couple of fish tacos. I'm usually a simple cevichè girl and stick to shrimp, fish, & jaiba, but this had scallops and octopus in it as well. I have to say that it was too good! You won me over. The service was great & our food came out quickly. I think the only downside was that we heard there's usually a sitting area open for customers to eat at, but it was closed when we went. We were still able to sit at the little bar top literally on the food truck, which was fine but small. It did the job though. It was a fun experience & great seafood. You can't really go wrong.

Yelp
The food had a great taste, very fresh and the service was also quick and friendly. Definitely must try, generous portions. I'll definitely be back soon.

Yelp
I would consider myself a Mexican Mariscos connoisseur. I've had seafood throughout most regions of Mexico as well as in Southern California. I've been here a few times and neither of these experiences have been so satisfying especially my last visit. I ordered a Campechana which is a Cocktail with all the goodies. However, most of it was filled with imitation crab meat. Where's the shrimp, octopus, abulon, oyster? I'm reasonable but it appeared that it wasn't proportioned correctly. At least 70% was imitation crab meat. So I decided to remove all the crab to get an accurate amount that was used to make this cocktail. The picture is posted. Aside was that it lacked flavor completely. Just a fishy water. When has chunks of imitation crab used for cocktails? First time I experience this.

Yelp
Had this about a month ago, but had forgotten to leave a review. Got the platter, feeds 4-5 people... or three in my husband, myself, and a cousin's case haha! Way over priced in my opinion. Wasn't as flavorful. No lime taste at all, but we did get a few wedges which were kind of dry. Their sauce was pretty good. Gave the mariscos some flavor. A bit sneaky though. Doesn't taste as spicy, but as you keep eating, your mocos will start to drip. I'm not delicada, unfortunately for me, it was the lack of taste that just didn't cut it.
google avatar

Aley M.

Yelp
$80 for imitation crab meat, and sweet fishy water. Definitely first and last time coming here.
google avatar

Andy M.

Yelp
So on a hot day some good mariscos and a beer are called for, so I figured to give this place a try since every time I pass it's packed. I ordered a tray of botana mixta, tray was nice and heavy, so I was excited!! But was definitely disappointed once I got home and opened it and dug in. Even after I was told it did contain imitation crab, I said eh let's still give it try, not thinking it was going to be overly stacked with it. The tray was $80 for "mixta", let alone this thing tasted like sweet fishy water with some spice. This will definitely be the FIRST and LAST time I go to this place.

Yelp
I really really liked this spot! BUT! it is BYOB. I really liked the shrimp cocktel and michelada mix but it was NOT cold. However it was delicious! So much flavor and spice just the way I like it. I love the environment it makes me feel at home and I love the grupos playing, great music and environment. The staff/employees are very helpful and very nice Great service. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but the staff was quick to find a spot for us, they even pulled out extra chairs. The view of the over filled trash cans was the only sight that bothered me but it was a fun place. I would definitely come again. It was very inexpensive. Tip: take your own Tapatio bottle if you like it with your mariscos lol they were hard to get a hold of and most of the bottles were empty. However the food didn't really need it it was so good.

Yelp
I'm gonna make it very simple. I'm not a seafood type of guy. But when I do want seafood,, This is the place for me.. Always fresh!!! And just simply delicious And since they open the restaurant. I find my self eating more seafood.
google avatar

Cassaundra H.

Yelp
This food truck was really great. I honestly always think twice about eating Mariscos off of a food truck but honestly this place was delicious. The aguachilies tostadas was so delicious. My mouth was on fire and my fiancé couldn't stop sweating. But we couldn't stop eating them. We also got the fish tacos, they were very good. Probably one of the best fish tacos I have had recently. I do wish this place had a cleaner sitting area but it was definitely nice that the outdoor area was even an option as this was a food truck. Parking was tight but luckily the liquor store next door let us park in their reserved spots. The usual girl who makes the BYOB michiladas wasnt there yesterday so that was a bummer, and also they were out of the fried tacos and I heard are amazing so sucked that I wasn't able to try them!!
google avatar

Yelp
A cool small Lil food truck in east la on Olympic, Parking g is on The street, byob with a liquor store next door or across the street , also a bar and clinic across the street if that's your thing . There was a little line when we showed up , went quick , the wait for the food is a bit , about 25 minutes I think , limited seating due to a lot of ppl there ,no biggie , food was good , all fresh , prices range from $5 for tostadas to $15 i believe for a compuchana , and $25 for the hamburgesa, the Big seafood cake it looks like lol, would visit again

Yelp
After USC Football 2018 Spring Training we wanted to seriously chow down on some Goooood mariscos. We stopped at this place in Los Angeles on Olympic named "Mariscos Los Sitios," estilo Sinaloa and everything was Amazing. Arriba Badiragüato Sinaloa plebes! 1) From the "Botana Mixta (Callo de Lobina, cooked Shrimp, raw Agüachiles Shrimp, cooked Octopus, imitation Crab, Abalone)! 2) Cocktel Campechana (cooked Shrimp, Abalone, cooked Octopus and imitation crab)! 3) Camarones Agüachiles (raw shrimp in a spicy green sauce)! 4) Michelada Mix 5) And to make it more authentic and feel as we were in the beaches of Sinaloa/Nayarit a Tamborazo showed up (banda El Chury) and we had them play some heavy hitters...puro paisa compa!!!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious shrimp cocktail the best I've ever had. Plan trips up to L.A. 45 mins away just to have a little peice of sea heaven. Fish tacos are just as amazing you're truly missing out if you don't try them out!

Jose Ignacio L.

Yelp
Shrimp tacos were BUSSIN BUSSIN. Parking might be hard but it is worth it. The flavors are immaculate. Would 100% recommend for people trying out mariscos.

Yelp
This spot is the Bomb! found it on instagram came with a friend and fell in love! Definitely coming back!!
google avatar

Lupo C.

Yelp
1st time having it. My review is based on what I had this time around giving it 3.7 star. I had 1 fish taco, 1 shrimp taco, and 1 aguachiles tostada. Fish taco ($1.50) it's on the smaller side, like street taco size. The fish was fried in a crispy batter, fish for some reason was sliced and battered the size of fries, so almost fish stick looking. The flavor was a bit bland to me, it was dressed in some mayo cream, tomato , and too finely chopped cabbage squares, which made it messier when taking a bite. Shrimp Taco ($2) basically same experience as the fish, only the shrimp taco had more flavor. Aguachiles tostada($5) this one was the better choice I made, shrimp was big, de vined , so clean. The salsa had good flavor but could've been spicier to really make it aguachile , the verduras compliment it great. I'll be back to try some other stuff.

Yelp
This place is so amazing.. Their seafood is so fresh and so delicious.. I been here several times and I've never been disappointed..
google avatar

Nenee E.

Yelp
Came across this place due to a post on Instagram. While in the area we decided to stop and give it a try. I was extremely surprised that it was very tasty with lots of flavor. I had a Tostada de Jaiba along with a Tostada mixta... we also ordered the Hamburgesa. Let me just say i wasn't able to finished my tostadas as they are pretty well serve. CASH ONLY and No alcohol, however there is a liquor store crossing the street and next door. Win win situation
google avatar

Katherine Q.

Yelp
Saw them on Instagram and had to check them out myself. Totally worth the drive. What caught my attention was "La Hamburguesa" which is pretty much a huge mariscos "Burger". Friendly service. Parking is limited. Food made on the spot. Bomb.com my new favorite spot. I highly recommend
google avatar

Adriana P.

Yelp
Came from San Francisco to check this place out since it kept popping on my Instagram. I must say their mariscos hit the spot. We got the botana familiar which had everything. Everything. And it was $70 if I'm not mistaken and it was delicious and worth it. You get to take your own alcohol and they sell a special miche for you to have with your beer that has a great taste. Only thing was the musicians were playing like two songs and took a long break but once they got their third break in they went hard for sure, but being understanding that day it was super hot. There was a lot of people enjoying it. You really have to go early though as there isn't a lot of seating. I Truly recommend it. I definitely plan on going again when I go back to SoCal. This to me would be a hole in the wall spot that everyone should check out.
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
After trying a bunch of places locally, including 4 Vientos; this place is my favorite for aguachiles! The only downsides is that they close soooo early, cash only, and parking.

Gloria G.

Yelp
Do not eat here!!! I ordered aguachiles and they were raw not cooked in lemon I got food poisoning ended up in the hospital. If I could give this place 0 stars I would and worst customer service.
google avatar

Gutierrez A.

Yelp
Bro the food here is bomb. I purchased some bomb ass tacos and it was on the spicy side, but manageable! Definitely coming back for more
google avatar

Adrian M.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! Very good mariscos! We got hamburguesa de mariscos and shared it between 2 people! It was very good and will come back again for sure!
google avatar

Gerraddoo G.

Yelp
Came here to watch the Dodgers and the Canelo fight. Extremely empty when I got here, which was cool since we got prime seating. They have some major work to do to this place. 1st off there is no ac, they kept the back door open to cool the place off. The service almost non existent. I asked for a michalads extra lime, she says I can bring you extra lime , I say you cant squeeze it in. Well it's a premade mix, and I ask so you cant add it the? The braindead waitress then says O,well I cannot it if you want, by this time I'm over it and just tell her yo bring the beers. The picture of the michalada shows 6 shrimps they bring it to you with 3. This was the beginning of some terrible service. As the place begins to get packed, the waitresses huddle by the bar while nobody is tending the tables. I wave my hand around and some guy tells them hey they're calling you. They come over and we order some more beers. I have to wave them down again after 15 minutes and ask, are you bringing the beers. I believe they started off a roach coach and progressed to this establishment. Should have stayed a roach coach.
google avatar

Adrian V.

Yelp
Well I have to say that I really wanted to like this place. I first seen them on Instagram then on yelp and I finally decided to go. This is a food truck located on Olympic Boulevard. They have an outdoor seating area if you want to call it that. The exterior has old busted tables and honestly it's smelled like urine. So disappointed. I was going to originally go with the Hamburgesa, but when I realized it was $25 I said nah!! I opted for the tostada mixta. The tostada look delicious but tasted otherwise. Imitation crab meat more than anything else. Had a bout 4-5 shrimps and rubbery Squid (pulpo) tomato and onion. Flavor was non existent. The cost for it was $7. Scale of 1-10 it was a 5! Don't mean to give a bad review, but let's just say I would go elsewhere. I ordered shrimp tacos and they where small with undercooked tortillas. I visited at about noon on a Friday and their was about 3 other customers. You've been warned.
google avatar

Mayra R.

Yelp
It's a clean lunch truck with Friendly Service and Delicious Sea Food. Bring your own beer. They sale the Michelada Mix and its very Good. You can walk next door to buy your beer in the meantime you wait for your food. I ordered the Hamburguesa de Mariscos (Sea Food Hamburger) and the Fish Tacos

Gabs Q.

Yelp
Just stopped by. Dude there was quick with the order. 2nd time and yeah, they're good you I've only just had their fish tacos (for now), and honestly for 1.50 you can't go wrong here. They have the hot sauce outside and even have some tables and chairs. Try em out dude. Great little neighbor spot.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Poor service here and in their restaurant. Will never go back not only the service but the food wasn't as great either it had no taste .

Aurelio S.

Yelp
Best Mariscos in this area I have been buying here for some time and everything is good eating and great service....
google avatar

Luis V.

Yelp
Some of the best seafood I've had. The owner Giovanni is really nice and walks around and speaks to all of his customers. All of the workers are great, very friendly.
google avatar

Gerardo L.

Yelp
I really wanted to try this place but waiting 35 min for an expensive tostada with no flavor that's ridiculous and not worth it at all! Morros drinking beer and smoking weed, this is not a good environment for your kids, be careful people!

Lilia F.

Yelp
First time here, difinatly commling back, you can bring your own beers. Food is delicious reasonable prices.
google avatar

Evelyn G.

Yelp
Food truck not smelly or fishy. Very fresh good quality of fish. Shrimp tacos and agua Chile is my favorite the miches are very yummy down side not alot of seating area needs another canopy for shade. Don't sit in the back it smells like pee. You can drink beer in the Lot there's a liquor store 40 feet from truck. Phone orders are available for pickup. If you like hot salsa try there house Chile that's in a ketchup bottle you can even buy one to take home.
google avatar

Brenda R.

Yelp
50 minute wait and counting for two tostadas and one Coctel. Ridiculous. Don't waste your time.
google avatar

Maria H.

Yelp
Great shrimp cocktails and the best michelada... just don't forget to bring your own beer!
google avatar

Ana D.

Yelp
Bomb as food sunday is the best day to go. Can drink and the band is awesome. Just make sure to get there early before they run out of food
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
This place should not be allowed to serve food. I ordered Camarones al Mojo de Ajo.. the worst I've had! And to top it off they serve it with an undercooked baked potato with mayonnaise!! I will never come here again..
google avatar

Emilia L.

Yelp
Best mariscos in east los they were so bomb even the beers michelada are good. I was not upset at all! They just need to put more tables & chairs to sit other than that I recommend this spot!!!
google avatar

Eder G.

Yelp
It was just bad food and micheladas was the worse I've ever had. Waitress was actually nice it was just the food that Wasn't good at all
google avatar

Benjamin H.

Yelp
I had the hamburgesa and Botana de Lobino and its was bomb.com I like going during the week becuase the line gets pretty long on the weekend. The staff is dope and you can bring your own beer. The prices are fair for the quality of food you are getting.
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
It took them 1 hour to finish 1 tostada. Horrible service. I'm typing this as I continue to wait for my tostada.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Is ok but not the best mariscos estilo sinaloa. But today was my first and last time here
google avatar

Andre S.

Yelp
Did not enjoy this place the mariscos and the shrimp tacos had no flavor . Do not recomend this place people were in the back tables getting drunk and loud did not like at all.
google avatar

Cynthia A.

Yelp
Tried it and loved it, food is very good and prices are decent. Do need some bathroom tho, and someone cleaning the tables. But what matters is the food and that's why I gave it a 5 stars
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
BME!! Best Michelada ever! They come with a few added shrimp which enhance the flavor and are best suited for a 32 oz. beer.
