OMG these shrimp tacos were so good. Thank god I found a place I can go and eat some delicious seafood. The consomé they have me even before we got our food had so much flavor. My husband had fish tacos which he loved but he love the 7 seas soup. I totally recommend this place to anybody as it was recommended to me.

My coworkers would take me to this food truck pretty often, they said this was one of their favorites Mariscos places. Soon it became a ritual to go on Thursday or Friday almost every week. I've tried a lot of things here but my go to is the Fish Tacos (comes with pico de gallo, cabbage and mayo). Arrachera Tacos were my 2nd go to as well (carne asada, veggies and cheese). My coworkers would usually get tostadas or cocktails which were really good and fresh. But the consome is the star of the show! Amazing food truck and their mayo chipotle sauce is best I've ever had.

I know this might seem excessive but: THESE ARE THE BEST FISH TACOS IN NORTH COUNTY. My family and I have lived in vista/Carlsbad/San Marcos for 20 years and side from cessys, these are the BEST local fish tacos you’re gonna get. Sure sure, you could go to a fancy restaurant and maybe get something pretty great, but for a true local fish taco you can’t beat mariscos. No frills, and there is always a line. Although I stick to fish tacos, they have a ton of other options. Mainly types of fish, so don’t rely on this food truck if you’re looking for barbacoa or carne asada. Luckily for everyone, they actually have an online ordering system now so you can order ahead of time. I’d recommend this if you are in a rush because like I said, there is usually a line. All in all, make this spot a priority. Oh, and don’t forget the chipotle salsa. The best.

Drive all the way from Santa Anna just for this food truck !!! My favourite is fish taco. They’re so yummy and price are super cheap for the food quality. Highly recommended fish taco, crazy tostadas and delight coconut. Yummy !

Fresh tasty fish octopus shrimp tostada! Needed to get out of my home office and glad I hit up this spot. Last time I had the giant coconut ceviche and it was epic!!

Came here to enjoy a meal and all i got was bad food & bad customer service. The seafood was going bad, had an awful smell. I waited almost an hour just for a cocktail which is crazy in itself. The cashier girl was very hostile, the men in the back were laughing at me as the cashier rung me up. Atmosphere was just very offputting. The food was not worth the hour wait Do not come here unless you want to eat bad smelly seafood with a side of bad service.

This place has been behind Home Depot for years. I always forget it's there. The fish tacos are so good and affordable. I always buy 3. There's a table outside if you want to eat right then and there. They give soup samples sometimes. It's pretty tasty. The service is good and they understand you even though there's a language barrier sometimes. I'm not that confident in speaking Spanish. Otherwise I would try.

This is like a permanent taco truck that is posted right behind Home Depot on San Marcos Blvd. This is a true taco type stand, where there are no seats and you eat standing up. Or if you have a truck the bed serves as an impromptu table. You order at the window and then get some seafood goodness fairly quickly, 5-7 minutes tops. You are offered seafood consomme (broth) after you order, which is a tasty appetizer before your food comes out. I have had the shrimp cocktails, ceviches and both fish and marlin tacos. All those dishes hold their weight, but it really is all about the fish taco for me. Simple in true Baja style with fried white fish, cabbage and their white sauce. Very tasty and my favorite in North County. Their salsa's are awesome. Dangerous, but delicious, the habanero is another favorite of mine. Super spicy. Depending on what you order, the bill can add up for the pricier options, but two fish tacos and a drink will keep you under $10.

Disappointed with the quality of the aguachiles The cucumber and onion were soggy as if they made a long time ago and the lime was super old almost rancid tasting This was my favorite place but the quality has gone down and I won't be coming back

Food is really good but prices are just insane! 1 shrimp taco and 2 shrimp tostadas for $36 is just insane ! Probably not going back there again there's other places with good food too and prices a lot more reasonable

We were craving fish tacos and decided to get some during the covid quarantine. While my husband was waiting for the food, he noticed none of the four people working inside was wearing any mask or gloves...!!!! Really? They're not only violating health and safety code, also governor's order! I don't care as much if there's no virus going around, but there's a reason why the whole state is in a lockdown! After he grabbed the food, he told me his concern and we both agreed we shouldn't risk it. So we tossed the whole bag of tacos in the trash can and wasted $9. It's better be safe than sorry.

Generous portions, great price for what you get! I ordered 3 fish tacos and that was a bit to much food for a Thursday lunch. It's a order and eat your food standing next to the truck type of deal. Located behind Home Depot!

A friend of mine recommended their tacos so my husband and I decided to try them out. They are parked on the street behind Home Depot where there's absolutely zero parking. I dropped my husband off to order our food while I circled around and luckily found some parking on my second try. We ordered their fish tacos and my husband suggested we just eat them in the car while they were fresh (plus, I was super hungry!). They cost $2 each and are good size tacos! Their hot sauce is SPICY but it was so good we couldn't stop eating them. Highly recommend.

This truck is straight fire!!! The bomb, da shizit, freakin fantastic, soooo f'in good, delicious as F!! Ok, now that I got it all out let me tell you more. They just got a new truck so business must be good and business wouldn't be good if the food wasn't freakin awesome. Also the food is priced right, like $1.75 for a fish taco and $3.75 for the fish tostada. I also frequent another food truck down the street which is good too but they raised their prices and that makes Mariscos Oceanos a better value. If you can eat right there the fish tacos are nicely sized with a crispy batter and straight goodness on the inside. I've noticed from all the spots that getting your fish tacos Togo and wrapping them up will eliminate this crispy batter and make them a little soggy. Just a little foodie advice! Anyways the fish tostada was fresh and delicious. Try the marlin taco, with smoked marlin it's a pretty big taco and it's bangin!! The new truck is nice and clean especially for a food truck. It's located on the street behind Home Depot off San Marcos Blvd. Go check it out so I can say I told you so!!

This is hands down the best mariscos i've had, The taste is Amazing and the tacos are so big. The girl that took our order was very nice and all the guys that work there where very nice and fast at making our food. Definitely worth the drive from chula vista.

Goddamm! Ive never waited this long at a taco truck before in my life. I ordered my food at 11:34am and it's currently 12:21pm and I still haven't received my food. The wait is ridiculous and honestly I don't think it should be when there aren't many people in line. (Finally received my food after waiting almost and hour!!!!) The food was good but not worth the wait. And they ran out of fish taco sauce again!!

Still the bomb! We were fans when they were in San Diego. San Marcos location is just as good. Start to finish, top to bottom everything was excellent. I was really surprised to see the Star rating had dropped so low. Food was fresh and though not inexpensive, good seafood never is. If you want 99; cent tacos be my guest. You get what you pay for. Gobernador AND Marlin both exactly the way they're supposed to be with generous portions of protein the experience is what it's supposed to be for a good food truck. Would drive 20 miles to eat here!

A couple of months ago, I ordered 3 fish tacos, extra crispy with no pico de Gallo. The batter on the tacos were raw and to top it off, pico de Gallo all over my tacos. I complained and they remade my tacos but I had to wait. So I decided to try it out again last week and I specifically said no pico de Gallo and they added pico. What the hell is wrong with these people working here. So today I go again and ordered 2 fish tacos and told the lady please please no pico de Gallo. I go home and pico de Gallo all over my tacos. I called the business number and explained my experience and all I got was sorry. No compensation or no offer to Give my money back. I will not patronize this business ever again. Stay away.

Best ceviche in NC SD! This food truck brings a great service with their super fresh ceviche de pescado! My mouth is watering writing about it! I also have had their fish tacos and taco de marlin which, daium, is huge and delicious! If you like sushi come get some Me I can suchi aka " Se-V-ché"

Earlier today I order through the phone some tostadas de aguachile when I went to pick up the food they took a long time to attend me and then the cashier didn't know how to work the register and was telling me that my card didn't work until his friend came and did it right He also didn't ask nor give me any sauce or limes and finally they didn't even give me my tostada the main point of the food we proceeded to call the owner and he told us all he can do is refund the 2.00 dollars and that we were responsible for not checking everything Terrible service and this isn't the first time that this has happened here

This place is simply the best place to get fish and seafood tacos in the San Diego area. Forget Rubio's this is out of this world. I love the octopus one-super flavor.

This food truck used to have the best fish tacos and fish burritos ever. But the last 2 times I've gotten the fish burrito, I have been noticing that the fish taste like its been fried in RANCID or OLD oil. And its super oily too. I am disappointed because it seems the quality of the food has been going down.

I am never going anywhere else for fish tacos again. Rubio's is no longer even on my radar! This was my first experience eating from a food truck and I am beyond grateful that this was the one I chose! The fish tacos are INSANE! The size of the fish is like 3 of Rubio's tacos.... and the taste is so fresh and amazing! I will definitely be back on the regular!

Came by again this past Veteran's Day weekend. I don't know what happened, but the quality has taken a drastic downturn. Before, the free soup included sizeable pieces of fish and whole shrimp. Now, the fish was tiny, and the shrimp was now headless and small. I get that some people don't like shrimp heads, but I was nevertheless disappointed. But, it is free, so... The fish taco itself. Although still a relative bargain at $1.75, the breading was way, way too thick. Previously, the breading was thin and crispy, a perfect balance. Now, it felt like subpar fish from a fish and chips place was jammed into a taco. Same with the shrimp. The most disappointing was the octopus taco. Although the octopus was still tender, the taco was greatly lacking in flavor, and by the time I got to eating it, the sauce had turned the taco into a weird wet fajita. Not good. Sorry, but whatever changed was not for the better.

This place is the hole in the wall gem spot!! Reminds me of the delicious authentic tacos that you find in mexico. The prices for the fish tacos are unbeatable!! Less than two dollars for some of the most generously portioned fishes out there! They have this price everyday!Their chipotle sauce is so flavorful and they have onions stocked on the side at all times. They even provide you a nice little soup appetizer while you wait for your order. They are usually consistent, but recently some orders have been hit or miss, plus another order that took over 40 minutes, even when called in ahead of time. Ill definitely be back and make sure they earn this 5 star because this place is definitely underrated with so much potential.

Tucked away behind Home Depot, in the little suburb of San Marcos, is this food truck, as good as you'd find in any large city. You'd better like seafood, because that's their thing. It seems pricey--six bucks for a taco? But two of them are almost too much for a hungry adult. I got the marlin, which is marinated and grilled to barbecuey goodness, not bland as swordfish often is. So tasty, who needs hot sauce? Also got a gobernador--the regional grilled shrimp of Sinaloa. It was too much! It's going to be breakfast tomorrow. The seafood cocktails and traditional crispy fish tacos looked good too.

Best Fish tacos and great prices. The truck used to be at Bare Roots in vista. I was totally bummed they left. I will visit next time I'm in San Marcos.

This is probably one of the best fish tacos I've ever had the Marlin tacos are the best ever got to come on down and try it I can't put it into words I wish we had one in Oceanside California but well worth the trip

Food tasted good, too bad the shrimp was not de-veined. Pulling the poop line out before eating is never fun. Then my friend found the little legs in her soup. Clearly these shrimp we not cleaned. Barf! What could have been 5* quickly went downhill...

Great prices! My favorites are the fish & shrimp tacos with the Chipotle salsa. Wait can be a little long so the free consome makes up for it. But if you can't wait, call it in. In my opinion better than the other mariscos food truck (mariscos German).

It's hasn't been the same since mariscos oceano left her in 30th an c but I'm glad I know were they at San Marcos I'm willing to travel for there food..

during a pandemic you think the cooks, cashier, and servers would wear face masks and gloves but not here. horrible service especially from the cashier. i don't know her name but when she handled my food and put it in the bag some of the sauce was leaking on the side and she scooped it up with her finger and LICKED IT!! then handed me the bag with her germs all over it. 0/10 and doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Their fish tacos are TO DIE FOR!!!! And their portions are so generous you can easily make two tacos out of one. I recommend this place 100%

Lady wasn't even writing down my order and messed up not ONCE but TWICE. Would not recommend and will be telling my friends and family know of the horrible service and it not being worth the price then recommend a GOOD food truck!

The food is decent and I would return if it wasn't for the cashier and her lousy attitude. I got out to pick up an order we placed over the phone. Mind you there is a specific sign that says "pick ups" on one side. I go there and was greeted by a snarky cashier who's attitude is anything but friendly telling him to go to the back of the line with everybody else. I tell her I'm only picking up an order, she instead goes back to helping everyone else and ignores me and let's out a huge sigh ! Her attitude is horrible. She then decides to help me acting like she's annoyed I'm even there. I tell her I have an order to pick up and she says she has one order without a name so she doesn't know who's it is. How is that our fault ? Before she decides to give us (the ONLY order they had called in ) she's going to double check with someone in the back if they can give it to us !? Is she serious ? Who hired her ? If this place wants to remain open I would get rid of her ASAP. I'm not going back again , and I have already told family and friends about the lack of customer service here to avoid them from coming back. Why waste money someone where it's not appreciated. I'm sure during the pandemic there are better mariscos places that deserve the support from the community. Not this place I would not recommend it

If I can give 0 stars I would!! CASHIER DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DO HER JOB!! NO ONE was wearing a mask in the truck!! The food is great. Just sucks you have to wait 45 minutes, EVERY TIME!! Even If you call a head of time, they still LAG! You wait 15 minutes to order your food, and 45 minutes to get your food. The Cashier Does not know how to work and talk. She can have a whole conversation with the cooks while having 10 people in line waiting to order.

I recently came to this food truck and I called ahead so I wouldn't wait too long. They told me to come in 45 mins after the call and that's what I did. When I got there I told them I called ahead and they looked so confused. I had to wait an additional 30 mins which was very unfortunate. To top it all off the workers did NOT have masks or gloves on! One of the workers was cutting up an avocado and I saw him LICK HIS FINGER and then proceeded to put the slices on a plate.That was so disgusting, especially during these covid-19 times.

So far the best seafood in this area. You can always tell if they know seafood by how the octopus is cooked. Needs to be not chewy and not soft and too limp. Spot on. Seafood actually takes like seafood. Not frozen to death. Fish tacos are inexpensive and better than the chain. I'd give it a try if I were you.

Soooo goooood. I ate the grilled shrimp, fish, and the Merlin tacos. My husband ate the mixed seafood taco. Everything was delicious. We'll be back again and I can't wait to try the cocktail. These were the best tacos we've had since we moved to San Diego 6 months ago.

Worst customer service! My boyfriend and I came here to get fish tacos and was waiting for about 15 minutes and nobody acknowledged us at all! We ended up leaving and didn't even order anything. We really wanted to try the food but oh we'll.

We have eaten here 2 times. The first time we had fish tacos which were great. We returned there a second time but 2 of us ordered carne asada tacos and the meat was rancid. One person didn't realize it until she ate half of it and ended up throwing up 15 minutes later and is still queasy as I write this review. The other one realized the meat was bad immediately after the first bite and returned it and got his money back. He also got sick to his stomach and is queasy. It is SO WRONG to serve contaminated meat to customers! A customer before us ordered the carne asada taco and was served a different and much better cut of meat but since we asked for ours "to go" we were served the gross scraps. Really unconscionable, they should have their license revoked

I found like 5 hairs in my green aguachiles. So gross. Be careful with your food. The girl who took my order over the phone was also very flakey, had to repeat my order like 3 times.

When it first started it was a great place to enjoy seafood. Food is still good the only bad thing is the stop taking debit cards. Which I understand for tax purposes they less you claim the less you pay. Customer point of view you also lose money because customers won't return for your Buisness. Prices also increased.

LOVE this place this is my go to whenever also because it's just around the corner from where I live. After you order they give you a courtesy consome which is like a Mexican seafood soup which tastes so delicious. Seafood is expensive and they're prices are reasonable and not only that they don't put just a few shrimps or fish they put a good amount of shrimp on the coptels and the fish on the fish tacos are even bigger than the tortilla itself. So you pay for something good with great quality. The cashiers are the only ones you talk to and they usually have a nice attitude. So customer service is good as well.

Gave fish tacos undercooked, and I have a serious allergy with onions, I asked if they could give me the tacos without them and they said yes but only cabbage and No tomatoes. Is it that difficult to slice some tomatoes into it.
