I recently visited this seafood restaurant and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food was decent — I ordered a torre de mariscos and a bottled beer. They started with some chips and salsa, which was a nice touch, and the main dish had good flavor, especially after I added some of the salsas they offered. However, the service left a lot to be desired. I was seated in a corner, and it felt like I was completely forgotten. I was craving an appetizer from the menu and wanted another beer to go with my food, but no one ever came by to check in. By the time someone finally showed up, I was already done eating. It’s honestly been a long time since I’ve felt so ignored at a restaurant. Considering that their prices aren’t exactly cheap, I expected better attention. At the very least, staff should check in to ask if I need anything else — especially when they see a drink is empty. Overall, the food was okay, but the lack of service really affected the experience. Not sure I’ll be coming back.

Got out of a long 15 hour shift and went to order some food for my family and I on 3-02-25. I spent about 130 dollars all together. When I got home they gave me the wrong order after I even showed the waitress whose name is Elizabeth and pointed at everything I wanted so there was no confusion. I ended up calling to let them know ask for some one to speak English and they hung up on me. I call back, they put the phone to straight voice mail so they don’t have to deal with me. I drive over there to get my food made right and explain everything the the same waitress is knowing her head saying I’m wrong. (Customer is alway right) when they make my food over the skimped the meal and gave us more bone that meat. On one of there most expensive meals. Chorizo that they gave me was super small and still had paper on it. Worst experience at a restaurant I ever had. Took my food back because it was cold because I had to drive from Ahwatukee to south Phoenix to get it. But I’m pretty sure they thru my food back in the fryer to make it look fresh. Wasn’t remade. You can tell by the way it looks. Too older women were sitting behind me heard it all and say I was in the right to be upset. I WILL TELL EVERYONE ONE I KNOW TO NOT GO TO THAT LOCATION BECAUSE OF THE RUDENESS AND LACK OF BUSINESS ETHICS. Plus I’m pretty sure I saw the waitress role her eye after she counted the tip I gave her. I didn’t have to tip her. I didn’t sit and eat. She pushed buttons and put my food in a bag to give to me. I think a 10 tip is pretty good just for that. Never agin will I go there. Address 3135 South 48st. Suite 110.

Absolutely delicious mariscos spot!! We got cantaritos, cervezas, fried whole tilapia, molcajete, & oysters. Everything was really really good! My boyfriend’s 1st molcajete & he already wants to go back for another one. We split it so it was enough food for 2 people. The beers come with a big cold mug filled with lemon juice & beautiful rim of tajin!!

Google
I love this place, a taste of Mexico. Plus I am extremely addicted to the beef jerky. I buy a whole pound of the spicy every week. It's the best taste and price 1LB =$30 😋🤯😎

I keep coming back to this place. I love getting oysters with ceviche. The salsas and chipotle mayo are so complimentary, the totopos are plentiful, and the service is always friendly. I usually order a delicious limonada mineral, but I've also had their alcoholic beverages, and they were delicious! The various platters are generously served and very shareable.

Great food, great service, and great ambiance. My favorite shareable dish is chicharron de pardo. Delicious!

Went for my birthday lunch. Service and food was AMAZING! My mom and sister each had a shrimp chimichanga that they loved. Almost every bite had shrimp in it. Outside was nice and crispy. Great flavor throughout. They each had to take half home it was so large. I had Arroz Marinero and the flavor was well developed. The different seafood was cooked properly. Nothing mushy or rubbery. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. She kept our drinks filled and brought more chips without having to ask. The food took a proper amount of time for what we ordered. Will definitely be going back!

Google
Easy, relaxed atmosphere, and an awesome regular type margarita. I have been sampling Mexican food in the Valley for over 30 years and they have the best marisco I have ever had! Erika, our server was funny, friendly and efficient. I rarely write reviews but Marisco Sinaloa is definitely worth the effort. I will definitely be sharing this Mexican gem with my friends and family!

Yelp
Great and authentic Mexican food. This place was recommended to us by a Mexican, born and raised in San Diego and now a mortgage broker named Stacy in AZ that we got paired up with in golf. When we visited, all customers dining in were Mexicans and the waitress did not really speak English either so we knew right away that it is legit and authentic. Chips and salsa - complimentary Shrimp cerviche - it was different, not the same as what I ate in Tijuana. So I dumped the salsa that came with the chips into the Cerviche and it was perfect. Heehee. Parrillada Mixta - seafood cooked in Mocajete. Everything were cooked to perfection, the octopus were soft and tender. Excellente. This place knows how to cook seafood. Highly recommended Filets Don Beto - also good. Seafood was cooked to perfection, not chewy. Nido Marino - reminded me of shrimp Alfredo. It was good but I was confused to why the noodles are chopped or broken up. Maybe it is a Mexican thing. If you like seafood, you will love this place.

Yelp
The food was 10/10. Clean establishment and everyone was very friendly and polite. Over all we enjoyed having dinner there and wouldn't mind coming back another day

Yelp
This place is a must try for Mariscos in Tempe!! My fave is the fried fish dish - Chicharron De Pargo! Perfectly crispy food, shrimp stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon. Beyond yummy! My friend got the fillet , although flavorful it had an excessive amount of oil. To pack it to go we put it on top of napkins to soak up. The Vichi is a broth of goodness. The salad was good with fresh avocado. Micheladas are a must try. They were busy the entire time we were there. They played good corridos! I will be back!

Yelp
Tried this out after attending a baseball game and the aguachile was so fresh, spicy, and delicious. Waitress was great! Our drinks were always full. Lots of seating inside and even though it was a packed house, the food didn't take long and we were in and out in about 45 minutes. So good!

Yelp
Loooove the food here. It's super authentic Mexican food. Even much so that I need my boyfriend to order in Spanish for me! Biting into the beef taco was so heavenly and this place has the best beans I've ever had in my life. Went on Father's day so it was pretty busy. I wish the restaurant was bigger and more insulated, my only two cents!

Yelp
Saw really good reviews so we wanted to see I got the camarones a la diabla and it was only 5 camarones and the soup tasted like Maruchan caldo my husband order ceviche and shrimp was 100% raw not even cooked in lemon just opened cleaned and dropped inside the ceviche also 20 minutes for the girls to give us our bill and they are just inside don't even come outside to check they only come out if someone walks in awful!! Never coming again here

Yelp
Very few seafood joints in the Valley have a broad range of diversity in offerings as does Gonzalo Gamez of Mariscos Sinaloa. Considering Mexico has an incredible coastline, and much more varied dishes available from the sea than many countries in the world, it is not difficult to acknowledge the concept that Mexico be a huge Seafood Lovers access to and compendium of these delicacies. And the Sinaloa are of this country is a hub for such cuisine! Especially being on the Gulf of California, it is one of the most incredible sources for a variety of dishes attributed to this region. Their strong expertise is exemplified by the way they prepare and serve one of the most popular and tasty treats of the sea, Mexico's equivalent to Bouillabaisse, Sopa de Siete Mares, an incredible Seafood Stew! This incredible concoction of whatever seafood elements may be available at the time can include the likes of different types of fish or shark, crab legs, octopus, shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops and many other ingredients. Like Bouillabaisse, it's incredible, unlike Bouillabaisse, it has the Mexcian, or better yet, the Sinaloan effect. Other servings here are just as incredibly good. They offer a Seafood Platter with an incredible selection of seafood that will make your mouth water. They also offer really good, different and unique shrimp dishes. And as always, any of these dishes are going to work well with a Pacifico or a well-made puckering Margarita. Have at it, it's worth a try - well worth it.

Yelp
My partner's brother's girlfriend wanted to go to Mariscos Sinaloa for dinner while we were visiting Phoenix Arizona. My family and I had arrived at Mariscos Sinaloa around 7:30 P.M on a Sunday evening. There wasn't many people inside the restaurant and we were seated promptly. I wasn't too hungry and decided to split a kids meal with my daughter. I also had a few bites from my partner's entrée which was a chicken quesadilla and some chips/salsa. My daughter had mac n cheese and French Fries. The Mac N Cheese was a Kraft mac n cheese, but the French Fries were pretty good. My partner's quesadilla was scrumptious, with lots of chicken and cheese! My son enjoyed his grilled chicken breast, rice, and refried beans. Service was great at Mariscos Sinaloa! All of the meals were quickly prepared and the price wasn't too expensive!

Yelp
My fav place to get authentic Sinaloa food! My husband is from Sinaloa & loves this food so much. The mariscos are always my fav!

Yelp
If you're in Arizona, it should be almost a given that you'll stumble upon great Mexican food--but this place stands out in my mind as a true gem. While it may not be the cheapest spot in town, the incredible flavors more than make up for it. The prices, especially for their tacos, are reasonable, and the burritos are mouthwatering. Though I wish they offered a Birria burrito, their eight other options more than satisfy . From the moment you sit down, the authenticity shines through. The chips and salsa arrive promptly, and this isn't your average watery salsa--it's robust, flavorful, and exactly what you'd expect living in a state like Arizona, where good Mexican food is a point of pride. What really sets this place apart are the seafood dishes, which are hard to find at this quality anywhere else. The menu is massive, maybe they don't need all of those items? But It's the kind of spot I confidently recommend to friends, co-workers, or anyone passing through. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by--you won't regret it.

Yelp
The best mariscos I've had in the Phoenix area as of yet. The camarón was as big as the one's you'd find at the playas in Mexico.

Yelp
A short walk from our hotel with an extensive menu and good beer selection. Plenty of great food options along with friendly service.

Yelp
Authentic Sinaloa food. We went during lunch and the restaurant was near empty which is sometimes worrisome but food was great and service was awesome. Portions were generous but a little on the pricey side for a few of the specialty items.

J Z.

Yelp
The place feels like Mexico on the Yucatan. Delicious oysters on the half shell and CEVICHE. The negro modelo beers came in a frosty mug rimed with seasoning and 1/2" of lime juice in the bottom. Best beer in a long time! I regret we couldn't eat more. It all looked so great. The table across the way was piled with sea food I wanted a sample of each offering. We were staying at the Green Tree Inn about a mile walk away. Next time I have to overnight in Phoenix, this is the plan.

Yelp
Great seafood and margaritas. I loved the classic marg and the oysters were really good. The staff is so friendly and I love the chips and salsa they bring out when they first seat you. The music adds to the vibe and it is always enjoyable. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Hubs and I went there about 7 years ago. We tell anyone who will listen how much we loved it. I went home and bought a molcajete just to try to recreate the molcajete barba roja. So of course we plan our road trip to pass through phoenix so we can eat there. Go in and seems a little different. They also spoke (broken) English. Last time, no one spoke English and we just pointed to pictures on the walls. Oh, no pics everywhere either. Hmm...hoping it's still the same. Start off with a round of margs. Yum. Could use a little more tequila, but no biggie. Ordered our molcajete. I loved it. Hubs thinks not as cheesey. Seemed smaller, but maybe b/c we had an extra person? Also got the shrimp culichi. Oh that was sooooo good. Needed more food...well, I didn't... ordered a different molcajete. We think if you combine the 2 we ordered, that would have been more like what we had last time. Both good though. Also ordered the whole fried snapper. Unfortunately what we got was the tilapia. Hawaii people don't eat tilapia for reasons I won't share. I wanted them to take it back and give us the correct fish, but the hubs felt bad since he ate some of it. Great experience. Not as good as remember and may not be as quick to book flights through PHO just to eat there, but if I'm back, I'm definitely stopping in.

Yelp
Good Mexican food. I love the Molcajete mazatlan, it's so good! It has white fish, shrimp, bacon rapped shrimp, octopus , and a big jalapeño, with cheese too! It's so good! Local nice warm environment, friendly service, nice place to get good Mexican food. Just a little pricy.

Yelp
I went here for lunch on Friday 7/19/24 and had the Ceviche del Patron. I enjoyed it, but 3 hours later I started getting throwing up. Another hour later I was violently ill, for 3 more hours. I'll spare you the details but I started wondering if I was going to need a hydration IV when it was all going to be over. Lunch at Mariscos Sinaloa was literally the only thing out of the ordinary for my day that day. It's pretty clear it was food poisoning e.g. workers handling food with unclean hands. That's a Friday evening I'll never get back, and after three calls, they magically can't find a manager for me to speak to. I told them I would be calling the Health Department and they hung up. It sucks, but I can't trust this place anymore.
google avatar

Zack R.

Yelp
Honest review: Margaritas need more tequila, I at least want to taste it. They looked good though... for a smoothie. Large menu. Too large for me. Large menus always mean they don't specialize. Ribeye? Not ribeye. Shrimp? Too far from the ocean as I suspected. Service was quick and good. Environment is good. It's worth another try but this time it's only 2 stars.

Yelp
I had a craving for ceviche and this place did not disappoint ! I felt like I was in LA back in the day when we used to get ceviche in Huntington park. I needed this... we got the shrimp and fish and the one with octopus, scallops and fish. Definitely enough food for both of us, We need to come back for the other foods!
google avatar

Andi C.

Yelp
Wow! Great find! The food and service were excellent! Highly recommend! We had shrimp cocktail that was so fresh and delicious. Shared the favorite fajitas, chicken, shrimp and steak! Margaritas were great too, not too sweet. Not fancy but awesome.

Yelp
I always stop here when I'm traveling through PHX. As close to Sinaloa as you can get in the US.
google avatar

Carina S.

Yelp
If I could I would give 0. We walked in weren't even acknowledged. We sat down on a table and weren't offered drinks nor menus. We waited patiently for 20 minutes. Another couple walked in and they were acknowledged right away, given menus and offered drinks. Not sure what the difference was but I just had to get up and walk out. Never felt this way, we were very patient.

Derek J.

Yelp
Great food, drinks, and people. You'll have a wide variety of options here, and everything that I've had is delicious. The TORITOS de CAMARÓN CON QUESO, PARRILLADA DE MARISCOS, Tilapia, and anything bacon wrapped is a must have. The margs are full and fantastic, perfect way to top off the meal!
google avatar

Lilian E.

Yelp
The service here is always great!! Cristina is one of the nicest servers here and she has been serving us for years and we keep coming back because of her and the yummy food. Not like other Mariscos place it's not super loud so you can actually order your food without yelling over the music. The food is always on point. My favorite thing to order is the Toritos chile wrapped in bacon stuffed with Philadelphia cheese and shrimp. I wish they would have a Banda in here maybe one a month that would be fun but it's a bit tiny in there so not sure how that would work.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Real ceviche cocinado en limón (shrimp cooked in lime juice) delicious I'm from Sinaloa and it tastes like the real deal they weren't scrooges with the takeout either I had limes, saltines, tostadas, tapatío, ketchup, and napkins by the handfuls in my takeout order.

Yvette A.

Yelp
Food was soooooo delicious! Well prepared, super flavorful and really fresh. I ordered the parilla for 2 and it was perfectly executed. I will definitely go back.

Yelp
Its a 4.5 restaurant but rounding off to 5. I love Mexican food, specially Tacos, burritos and Rice bowls. That being said, I now doubt if I had the authentic Mexican food or was it just an another kind. We went for an early Friday lunch after our friend persuaded us to get some real and good Mexican food at his favourite restaurant. When we went in it was pretty full at 11am, and we just took a seat. The place is not high end but very hipster and casual looking. Since It was my first time our friend suggested few dishes and we ordered those for the table. They brought in some tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were fresh, but personally I didn't like the salsa, it wasn't the best. I have tried really good ones before. We ordered oysters for appetizer, some ceviche and I went with shrimp with mushroom sauce & bacon. The oysters came with avocado, jalapeño, onions and some fish. The oysters were definitely fresh, I seasoned it with some lime and sauce. I loved every bit of it and could easily eat a plate or two. The ceviche, it was the first time I was trying and It was amazing. I loved every bit of the sea food and the freshness of the cucumber and the tomato. The whole thing made it worth while because of the fresh seafood and you could tell it was really fresh. I loved my shrimp with mushroom sauce, there were good amount of shrimp but the rice was a little less, otherwise the portion was pretty big and I was close to finishing it but couldn't with all the appetizers I had. Overall the food is delicious and a great place for the sea food lovers. The food is fresh and made to order. Place gets pretty packed at peak hours, so better to get there early. The price is definitely expensive and for one person it costs about an average of $20. I mean its worth it but can't go here on a regular basis.

Yelp
Stopped by after being disappointed at another restaurant and WOW.. had the carne fries, oysters, fish tacos, micheladas. EVERYTHING was beyond expectation. Server was very nice and had a great attitude. Gotta come back for them micheladas

Jack L.

Yelp
This great restaurant has the best selection, quality, and prices in Tempe for authentic Mexican food, especially anything in seafood. They have about a dozen kinds of tacos, and a huge menu of beautifully presented entrees and sides. Brightly lit with plenty of seating. My favorite Mexican Food anywhere in Tempe-Phoenix. Great service with smiles and they don't rush you out when you're done eating. Try the Pulpo (octopus) tacos, full of tender perfectly seasoned octopus. The tortillas are the best, thin but strong enough to hold everything together.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
Food took very long. Made me and my family nauseous and gave us stomach aches. Breaded Fish
google avatar

Sonya B.

Yelp
This place is very authentic and good. I was craving some shrimp cocktails like in Rocky Point. I got the shrimp cocktail and the bacon jalapeños with cream cheese. It has soy sauce for the sauce and it was the best jalapeño poppers I've had. I got a pina colada and asked for chamoy and tajin to be added to the rim and it was so refreshing. The only thing that was just okay was the carne asada plate. The meat was a little hard. They give you chips and salsa. They have all types of hot sauces. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Heywood M.

Yelp
Really really solid. Here for work, am a mile up the road. Third visit. Margaritas aren't what I think of as authentic (there's a Denver place, maybe The Rio? that makes them this way: equal parts tequila, sweet and sour, apple juice and one half part triple sec) but they are STRONG and super tasty. The food's terrific, fairly priced and average portions. The tortillas are homemade and hot and almost paper thing and delicious. The entrees I've had are good but when you increase the heat (octopus Diablo/pulpo a la diabla) they ratchet up the heat so high and sacrifice a lot of flavor potential. That, and I'm pre-dinner rush (5:30 or so) all three times and service is a tad lacking and at one point there were only two tables (filled up before I left). My next two times I made sure I was facing the kitchen to wave down folks for more margaritas or water or my check. But overall: definitely a solid 4+ stars. And I'll be back.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
The food was ok, not great but not bad. Service was ok, as well. We waited for my daughter's tortillas, which never came and the server wasn't good at checking up but it was a busy Sunday so I didn't mind that a whole lot. The rice was not impressive, we didn't touch it after tasting it, the cóctel de camarón and pulpo was pretty good, loads of shrimp and octopus. We also had a mojarra (fried fish, which was tasty. Agua de horchata was ok, not great, ambience was a 3/10. Not sure that I'd return but there's also not many options, as far as Mexican food in Tempe so maybe I will.

Donald C.

Yelp
Great food with lots of seafood options and great service the waitresses work hard for you and great Sinaloa music feels like I'm back in Mazatlan

Traveling S.

Yelp
They waited over 30 minutes and then canceled my order because they were out of one item. Delayed my dinner for another 90 minutes looking for another restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
We come out for work once a year and always stop by this place for dinner. The food is really good and the beers are always cold.
google avatar

Kenny S.

Yelp
My first time at Mariscos Sinaloa was with an absolutely beautiful lady from Hermosillo Mexico. She said "this is my favorite place"......so we met there for lunch on 5/18/19 Mariscos Sinaloa did not disappoint and we both had cerviche style seafood dishes. Everything was fresh, tastey and there were endless hot sauce options for the seafood. My fresh seafood stack (pic) was huge and I was stuffed and definitely needed a siesta ! Great service as well along with frosty mugs for your beer. Go now!
google avatar

Kwan A.

Yelp
If you love Mexican and seafood, this is paradise! Scrumptious seafood, huge portion and very reasonably priced. The complimentary salsa and chips were very yum, couldn't stop eating them. We ordered Torre De Mariscos, Campechana Especial and Stuffed Fish Filet. The Torre De Mariscos was AMAZING!! Check out the photo and you'll see what I'm talking about. The Stuffed Fish Filet was another favorite. I normally don't like fried fish but their stuffed version was heavenly! Unfortunately, we wolfed down the plate and didn't take photo. Service can be a bit slow depending on what your order. Staff was very friendly and accommodating though. I highly recommend this place to fellow seafood lovers.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Awesome Authentic Mexican seafood. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. I've been here many times and their expansive and changing menu always offers something new and interesting to try.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
If you're craving seafood with a Mexican twist, this is definitely a go to spot. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed everything that we ordered. Food was great, while many of the items are pricey, you are paying for huge portions of relatively fresh seafood. This place has the best refried beans I have ever tasted. They were really buttery and luscious, something I did not expect since they came with one of the items ordered. They have an assortment of bottled hot sauces as well. The service was decent, although there were a couple of times it was difficult getting the attention of one of the waitresses. They were extremely nice though!

One Normal A.

Yelp
I have been eating at this place for about 7 years every time when I stop by PHX for work. Never changed bit very tasty traditional Mexican food

Sunshine R.

Yelp
The servings are too small for large prices Came with too much red onions Other than that it tasted pretty decent
google avatar

Noel M.

Yelp
If you're a fan of seafood, this place is awesome! This was my first visit here and I was impressed. First, this place really doesn't stand out as it's located in a small strip mall and you can pass it if you've never been (like I did). I seen it off the corner of my eye as I was passing it. So, I had to circle the block. You walk in and the atmosphere is very inviting and letting you know you just walked into a seafood restaurant. Mexican music playing lightly throughout. The staff is awesome and friendly. I was amazed with the menu items. Anything that can be made with seafood was on there. Appetizers, cocktails, main dishes, a la cart, etc. Every plate I seen come out that kitchen was awesome. I had the red snapper Yucatán style. It was delicious and served with salad, rice and some hot tortillas. I will definitely be returning here to try other items on the menu that interested me and even for a nice cold shrimp cocktail. That'll come in handy for this Arizona heat. If you're a fan of seafood, I recommend this place. Cold beer. Fresh seafood. Keep your eyes open.

TR A.

Yelp
When family comes we always go here for the oysters especiales and fish tacos y pescado a la plancha. Excelente, I highly recommend this restaurant. Clean and very friendly service.

Brian D.

Yelp
Was in town for a conference and craved local Mexican and Mariscos Sinaloa didn't disappoint. Was kind of empty when I arrived (around 8 pm) so I was a bit worried, but then multiple parties came in late for the 8-9 pm (closing) period. I had a margarita - classic, quite large and good, and the grilled octopus, and it was very good and filling. Mariscos Sinaloa's menu is very diverse for a small place - so I consider delivering on grilled octopus to be a good sign that they can handle the diversity. Good service and quick as well.

robert c.

Yelp
Online it states it's open till 10 on Friday. I turned into their parking lot and open sign was lit . I park and as I'm walking towards the Door one of the employee turns the sign off and locks the door and turns away as I'm just about to try to open the door. Turned around and went else where!

craig l.

Yelp
A Mexican seafood restaurant that also has the typical enchiladas, etc... Be prepared for dozens of seafood choices from ceviche to various seafood tacos and dinner platters. We had the fish "Don Beto" that was excellent and my wife raved over her carne asada. Located in a strip mall, but don't let that put you off. Very family friendly (judging from the many Latino families who were in there) and busy. Loved the jukebox!
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Seafood in the desert - Actually pretty good! Before my spring break drive back I stopped at Mariscos Sinaloa. Some reviewers aren't fans of the fluorescent lights and the jukebox but they didn't detract from my experience. Originally I was in a rush to get going and thought eating here would be a quick in and out. When I saw the free chips arrive though I settled in for sit-down restaurant mode. I got the: Shrimp Ceviche Tostada Shrimp Taco Fish Taco The tostada part was pretty soggy after a mound of ceviche was on top of it but it didn't matter due to those *Free* chips. One portion of ceviche was literally like a half lb of seafood. The shrimp and fish tacos were pretty good as well though I was eating them while driving in the Phx traffic jam. The creamy chipotle and hot salsa that come with the tacos are winners as well. Now if you crave fish tacos you don't have to drive the 350+ miles to San Diego.
