If your food isn't great, good service can make up for it. If your service isn't great, good food can make up for it. This place not only has terrible food, outrageous pricing and wow, just bad service. we all deserve better.

This place is the BANE of my existence! The omelet station never seems to be open, the scrambled eggs are always runny, and this biscuits are hard. I will say that lunch is usually better, but breakfast is terrible. The people are not friendly, or even nice, they CLEARLY hate their job and I CLEARLY hate this establishment. It is is nicely decorated though.

For the amount of variety in cuisines, the food is consistently pretty decent. For the buffet I have a lot of issue with the fact that there are no scales to measure how much you're actually going to have to pay when you're done. Paninis are decent, they do the job if you're craving one, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

A lot of choices and good value

Tons of healthy choices! Wonderful salad bar. Very pleasant outdoor seating (as well as indoor)

Over the course of the last two years, the quality of this food has plummeted and the prices have skyrocketed. A burrito bowl that used to be $11 now costs $17 and is smaller, lower quality and stuffed with fillers. The meat portion isn’t enough to serve a 5 year old child. Market creations has lost a loyal customer. Hopefully a place that knows how to run a business and cares about its customers takes its place. Incredibly disappointed in what this place has become.

Google
Very good food that is prepared or cooked on premises. In spite of the price (food is charged by weight), it is still a pretty good value (cost about $12 to $18) compared with other lunch options on weekdays. Recommended. Serving ends at 2:00 for the by order service, and 2:30 for the a la carte, serve yourself line. Very nice atmosphere and good staff. Plus there's a cocktail bar.

Google
The former location inside the Opera House reminded of a school cafeteria, so I stopped going. I visited the new location and was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is clean, modern and well lit..and now includes more seating and bar service. I'm not a fan of buffets, as some people show little respect for sneeze guards, so I tend to go as soon as they fill the chaffing dishes and trays. Great variety of hot and cold food. I'm happy they've included a sushi and korean bar which allows more food options for vegans.

Yelp
I'm from Indianapolis and occasionaly (rarley) come in to Chaiacgo for work, but got to eat here Aug 2023 (which I hadnt; posted) and May 2024. Both times were awesome -- what a nice buffet / salad bar style place with tons of options - salads, sandwiches, wings, rice bowls, and sushi. Yeah, they had me at sushi! Super fresh and SO good. Pay by the pound. And apparently it's half price if you go after 2pm. Indoor and outdoor seating options, friendly staff. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Yelp
I adore this place. I'm fortunate that my office is directly across the street. Their buffet is on point. So many items to choose from. Their carnitas is solid, they sometimes have fried chicken drumsticks covered with a honey bbq. I'm not even a big chicken fan, but I happened to be standing there when a fresh batch arrived from the kitchen, so I obvs had to try one. And I always hit up the salad bar. Good stuff all around.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with coworkers , was really good food, alot of variety fir everyone eating different things, and it's great because it's fast

Yelp
It's much more of a hot bar than a salad bar....which is exactly what I would want anyway. Love that many of the hot bar options have a bit of an Asian flavor to them - often with egg fried rice, orange chicken, szechuan beef, peppered chicken, etc. And they also have the different windows where you can make sandwiches, bowls, sushi, whatever. Super flexible and tons of options in a small space which is excellent for a quick lunch. It's dangerous as I always end up spending more than I think, that's the only downside to me. But reliably good lunch spot.

Yelp
I work remote, but had to come into the office for Strategic Planning. Let me just say I have thoroughly enjoyed Market Creations. The breakfast is mid. But where they shine is lunch. Y'all as a product of the Georgia Public School System this is the cafeteria situations of my dreams. I've had their Tex-Mex bowls and loved it. I utilized their buffet and loved it. Is it Michelin level dining? HELL NO! Is it better than most fast food and buffets, but not as good as a non-chain sit down restaurant. And that is why it is good for daily eats.

Yelp
Market Creations is the buffet-style lunch spot you know will be there when you need it. This location is new to the Loop and I for one welcome it. After the Sears Tower location shut down I've been craving some pay-by-weight sushi! Currently, assumedly because of less people being back in offices, only the salad and hot bars, plus a pre-made deli-style counter, are open. The sushi section is there, waiting, and for that I a hopeful! I've had both the hot food (Chinese-style food that looks as it tastes - yum!) and the salad bar and the only critique I have is: Please, have regular Ranch at the salad bar. The fat-free stuff is nasty! Otherwise, it's great! And the prices are passable too. They have a large selection of refrigerated drinks and even a full bar! I'll definitely have to try it for a happy hour. For years I've been a fan of Market Creations and this location delivers. I'll be perfectly content when the sushi returns and to hopefully help that along I will continue to include this spot in my lunch rotation.

Yelp
This place is as great before Covid... I did go there today for the first time in a while... terribly bad selection of choices, the salad side is thinned out. I struggled to find something I want to eat and it was too late for me to change my mind. Half of what I got was boiled broccoli. That is how little choices there was. The little food I got came up to 13$... yea, prices went up also. No thanks.

Yelp
Market creations is quite the anomaly. It is a NICE buffet spot. The ambiance on the inside is surprisingly fancy, and the staff is very nice as well. Additionally, in my experience at these types of restaurants, I usually find them to be dirty and messy, especially around the food itself. But at market creations, this is not the case! As far as the food goes, its good, not great, but good. Which to me is something that I consider a win for a buffet style restaurant. They have a wide variety of foods available and all seem to be of good quality, which is impressive in my eyes. This is a good spot to go if you work downtown and want to go somewhere with little time. It is hardly crowded and they have plenty of options making it an easy and quick option for you! Try it out!

Yelp
What a great place for some extended variety. I loved the choices and the food was delicious. I'm eager to go back and try a few different dishes next time I'm there

Yelp
It's pretty tough to beat Market Creations as a pay-by-weight restaurant. Heavy Asian influence on the dishes, but they cover all the bases with cuisine options. There's something for everyone. Be careful especially with heavy vegetables like broccoli or potatoes or you'll experience sticker shock at the register. Lbvs. ..

Mr. Tender Chicken ..

Yelp
Best Coconut Chicken Tenders this far! Can be a little busy at lunch times but they have adequate cashiers to help with lines. You're able to eat in or take out. The Tenders were nice and juicy yet the outer layer was crispy enough for a good small crunchy taste. All in all, a very satisfying and filling taste. They place the tenders in the buffet-style area so you can take as many as you like since they charge by the weight. I was able to not only take the tenders to go, but was able to take some other dishes along with it since it's buffet style. They also have a handful of locations very close to each other and they have a website with the menu they keep up to date daily. The only thing is that they don't server the tenders on a daily basis. Yelp
ALERT: Best food in the Loop! I am absolutely obsessed with this place. Their buffet is incredible. The selections are great, everything from Latin to Asian entrees, and American favorites. The menu is always changing, so it keeps things exciting. They also have a sushi bar, salad bar and burrito bar, if you don't feel like having the buffet. This place is starting to get really popular now, so it's best to go before noon to beat the crowd. Their dining area usually can't fit the number of people that are there that want a seat, so I suggest you snag a seat first and then get your food. During the summer months, they have outdoor seating, which is nice. The staff is efficient and quick. I have found my favorite lunch spot!

Yelp
Being that most options here are mass-prepared, nothing really stands out as being great, it's all just "okay". They have a wide selection, but it is not a great place for vegetarians and they have even fewer options for vegans (paying $9/lb for salad and rice does not feel good). The main reason I go here is the convenience factor, as it is right next to my office, but the convenience often isn't even worth the price.

Yelp
I was introduced to this place by a co-worker. Easy walking distance from the office, the food here has me happy to step outside rain (or snow) or shine. I'm particularly a fan of the fact they have buffet options that seem to change regularly, and if I want, I can have an entree made to order instead. The dining area is well lit and nice for sitting and talking with coworkers, so that's always a plus when getting away for an hour. We've also noticed they have a bar too, and have pondered the idea of hitting a happy hour there one of these days after work. All and in all, this is a great addition to food options in the loop.

Yelp
Great little spot for a quick lunch, located on the second floor of the La Quinta. Buffett style with salads, Asian inspired options and other American type fare. Reasonably priced with comfortable and spacious atmosphere.

Yelp
This is my go to lunch spot during the working week. The proximity to my office matched with the variety of good options are hard to beat. I tend to go for the buffet which is unlike me, usually don't like buffets. This one is constantly tended to with fresh and hot food rotating out and the staff wiping down surfaces. There's a variety that offers Asian, Mexican, traditional American and other types of cuisine. There's also a good salad bar. Eating healthy is an option here.

Yelp
Breakfast here is by the Lb , very diverse from Mexican to American, you'll get in line and pick what you want, but the most important part of this is Manny the server/ cashier take a moment and talk to him he will make your morning even better :)

Yelp
Stopped in again for a quick lunch - excellent as always!! Fresh, hot and very good. I love the MC wings and had a delicious salad and beef dish. I highly recommend this spot. Also located at 444 Lake just great food, fast!!

Yelp
I returned to Market Creations and and a wonderful learning experience with the AWESOME GM, Jhenelle. She is so personable and informative. We talked about previous experiences and got re introduced to the food on offer. All the entrees that I tried were very well done, to be done on such a large scale. The sushi burritos were very nice as was the crusted fish. So glad that I came back to try again :) I also learned that there is a happy hour at the location with some small plates.

Michael B.

Yelp
Vegetarian hostile. Every single hot item (except for the mashed potatoes) were meat as were many of the salad items. The decore is nice if you want to sit there and look at your lettuce.

Yelp
I spent almost $16 on a small plate of room temperature food from this buffet. The cost of the food is way too expensive for the lack of quality. I'm so disappointed after being a big fan of Market Creations at several of their locations. Doesn't seem very sanitary either.

Yelp
I was in Chicago for work and tried this spot for lunch - GREAT place. Clean, trendy, cool and has something for everyone. Def check it out!

Yelp
Great customer service! The food was very tasty and the display itself was very neat and pleasing to the eye. The restaurant was super clean and though the line was long, the wait was not. 10/10 I recommend.
