Google
Market Garden in Ohio City offered a solid experience overall, with a lovely patio that made for a relaxed atmosphere and a great music selection that added to the vibe. The service was pretty average, but the food came out quickly, which was a plus. The smash burger was the clear standout, perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and elevated by a delicious special sauce. Paired with hot, crispy fries, it was easily the highlight of the meal. The salad with salmon was just okay, not particularly memorable, and the rib sandwich unfortunately lacked seasoning and depth. Despite a few misses, it was an enjoyable visit, and I’d definitely return, especially for that smash burger.

Every time I've been here the food & service has been great. Stopped for lunch after spending time at the West Side Market. Restaurant has a good vibe, dining both inside & outside - for any size party. Service was helpful & friendly. Everything we had was so good. I had the Korean Chicken Sando - such a tasty chicken sandwich. Opted for a Caesar salad over fries. No regrets. My wife had the Veggie Sandwich, also opted for the Caesar salad over fries. She said it was the best veggie sandwich she's ever had. Beer menu offered a lot of options (we didn't have any) - don't hesitate to stop in for some great food & drink.

I recently visited Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland and had a fantastic experience. The vibe was relaxed yet energetic, the service staff were warm and attentive, and everything felt well-done from start to finish. For food, I ordered the apple pizza — topped with blue cheese, parsley, and balsamic-glazed onions. The combination was surprisingly good: crisp apple notes balancing the sharp blue cheese, fresh parsley adding brightness, and sweet-tangy balsamic onions tying it all together. It was creative and memorable. On the drink side, I enjoyed the Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged “Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged Franklin Castle” (by Market Garden) — aged in bourbon barrels that previously held maple syrup. Very smooth and beautiful taste. A must try. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great time, interesting food and beer, and friendly service. If you’re in Cleveland and want a place with character, this is it.

I'm sitting here right now and this place is great. The Ohio pepperoni pizza is fire. The beer is fantastic. The bloody Mary's are homemade from scratch by the chef and are so darn good. The West Side Market is 50' away and its magical. BUT..........the best part of this place are the wonderful staff members. Everyone is so kind and genuine. Hats off to them for making my family's Saturday perfection. Keke and Kat are out bartenders and they are fantastic 🫂

Google
Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Really good chocolate peanut butter stout and made a great special order Margarita. We had the Sausage pepper pepperoni pizza that was excellent. Staff was great, really attentive and very nice. Cali was our server and was amazing.

Google
Espresso martinis were absolutely amazing, and the pizza was to die for! The vibe was great with awesome music playing throughout. My husband loved his beer, and we both agreed this place deserves 5 stars all day long.

Google
Atmosphere is great. Our server Gavin was fabulous and knowledgeable about the beers and drinks. We order a couple of Pizza’s (Vegan) and they were delicious. The Street Corn pizza was my favorite.

Google
We hosted our holiday party at Market Garden Brewery, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was excellent, and they went above and beyond to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs—including gluten-free and vegan options. They even had gluten-free/vegan cupcakes, which were a huge hit! Special thanks to Cooper, the event manager, and Heather, our bartender. They were on top of everything and handled every situation with grace—from quickly refreshing appetizers to managing unexpected party crashers professionally. The entire experience was seamless, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. Highly recommend Market Garden Brewery for any event!

Yelp
There's a lot to appreciate about Market Garden as a staple on West 25th street, but one thing I am grateful for lately is the fact that they are expanding their NA options. I love that they seem really open to creating cool non-alcoholic options that event drinkers may want to try. They've always had such fun and inventive beers and I am looking forward to seeing what they develop in this space. I stopped in recently after dinner nearby and tried the citra hibiscus sparkler. It was light and refreshing and still left like you were having a drink with the crew. They also have an NA lemon sparkler and and IPA, which I would try. Of course they had some mocktails and they listed on their specialty cocktail menu which drinks could be made non-alcoholic. LIttle things like this are so appreciated because it takes out that awkward moment with the bartender of trying to figure out which fun drink you can have without alcohol. I also appreciate that they aren't ridiculously expensive! Most are $5 and $6 dollars making you interested in trying more than one without feeling like you're paying for expensive juice.

Yelp
I haven't been to MGB in quite some time, and I wasn't impressed! I enjoyed the Yuzo rice lager on the gorgeous patio - delightful! Then I ordered the Smashburger which really knocked my socks off. Probably the best burger I have had in a while! Seasoned to perfection, generously topped, with one of the most tasty gluten-free buns I've ever tried. Service was great! We were also treated to a comedy show in the intimate basement bar. Overall, a wonderful night, and I'll look forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
After being embarrassed at another bar and not served or even said hello to - we came here and were greeted by very nice staff! Lots of options around and the ambiance was welcoming! A+

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday for an early lunch with my husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandson a few weeks ago...delicious!!! I got the breakfast casserole which was outstanding...the portion size was good and it was very tasty...I would definitely get again. Very nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. I am also including a photo of my husband's breakfast sandwich...also very good !!!

Yelp
This review is for their little bar next to the West Side Market. Beautiful day to sit outside and have a peanut butter chocolate stout while watching the Buckeyes play. Everyone was friendly and happy. So glad we stopped in!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
A solid Sunday brunch! We got a reservation the night before, which was probably unnecessary because there was nobody there besides us. The chicken and French toast and the breakfast pierogies were both really delicious! We did not try any of the seasonal options, but there were lots of fun fall drinks on the menu!
google avatar

Richard P.

Yelp
We came here for Sunday brunch while in Cleveland. I ordered the smashed sausage breakfast sandwich on a croissant which came with fried potatoes. The sandwich was large and filling. My beer choice was a seasonal Oktoberfest which was suitably malty. Our server was prompt and efficient. We may well return here again when in town visiting our son and his family.

Yelp
Peanut butter what?!? You want and need to have the Buckeye Peanut Butter Stout! Oh my lord what a beautiful medfly it plays on those taste buds. Highly recommend this place Super fast service and casual atmosphere. I go here with friends before and sometimes after shopping at the west side market.

Yelp
We picked this place for a late lunch after a day of playing tourist in Cleveland. It is located right next to the West Side market, where you can get 90 minutes of free parking. After looking at all of the booths at the market we were ready to eat. We ordered a few salads (both the caesar and the greek salad were fantastic) and some freshly brewed beverages. I was happy to see a cider listed among their brewed beer selections. It was listed as a semi-dry cider and I thoroughly enjoyed it's crisp flavor. Just what I needed after a morning of running the streets. Service was quick and kind. I would definitely recommend this spot, and I would love to go again when it was mild enough weather to sit on the back patio.
google avatar

Yelp
Huge indoor bar area and beautiful outdoor area. Perfect for work meetups. I had the Spicy Pepperoni OMG pizza and it was delicious. I was planning on the Caesar salad but the table talk was centered around Cleveland style pizza. Apparently, the pan pizza here is that style. I loved it because it was cut into squares and had plenty of toppings. The hot honey was dripping off the slices and they brought out fresh grated Pecorino romano that stuck to the hot honey and along with the crunch of the crust created the best bite of Cleveland for me.

Yelp
Great location and nice space, just not a fan of the brews or food. Must be me because the place is busy! Pleas do try and see for yourself. I look forward to further reviews.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Beautiful night on the rooftop! Loved the views, Asian glazed wings, and overall vibes of the DJ and people. The mimosa seltzer is semi-sweet and a must have.
google avatar

Dolores T.

Yelp
A day trying different beers. The buckeye beer is delicious. a great stop before shopping at Westside market.
google avatar

Lynn A.

Yelp
The 4th star is for the service & vibe. I'd give the food a 3 though, not impressed. The scotch eggs were a bit on the crunchy side. Next we had apple toast which was really mushy and not something I'd order again, paprikash hash was probably the best of 3. The other was a Denver omelette, overcooked:( We'd go back, just making different menu choices.

Yelp
This is in the Ohio City neighborhood. It was packed and loud when we got there but they found us a table. We split a pretzel which was hot, buttery and delicious with a cheese sauce. I had an Ohio City Cream Soda which my companion thought was too sweet but I enjoyed it -- coconut spiced rum, pineapple, cola. We ordered burgers. They were thin patties, nicely griddled, juicy and with a good flavor. The top of my bun was cold, which was weird, but otherwise very tasty. My fries were skin-on and crispy. It was loud but our server was quick and attentive. We really enjoyed our burgers. There was a samurai (??) lamp in the back of the restaurant which was unexpected as it didn't fit the vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent gf pizza, ciders, and beers. Also, good customer service. Somewhat easy to park downtown that day although it's all street parking as far as I know.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
One of the best spots in Cleveland! Whether you're at the bar, a table or on the patio you're sure to have great food, great beers and great service. This restaurant has lots of great spaces to gather, and for a special event you can even go into their brew house! Definitely check out this spot the next time you're in town. I recommend one of their shandys and the pretzel for a quick bite. If you're staying a while make sure to try one of their salads or a pizza.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
I went here with my girlfriends a couple of months back and had a great time. The patio is lovely and spacious. The inside decor is cool. The quality of the beer though is where it's at! I hadn't been here in years because I used to think the beer was mediocre. I was blown away by how good each one was in my flight. I had a wit, belgian, stout and sour. The service was okay overall. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kelsey J.

Yelp
This place was fun! They make good beers! The bar snacks were great too! Great location so close to West Side Market!
google avatar

Yelp
Popped in on a random Friday at the beginning of a friend long weekend. Harley was awesome and really knowledgeable about all aspects of menu (drinks and food). She helped our first visit to Cleveland get off to a great start!
google avatar

Debra V.

Yelp
Came for lunch with the girls and had a reservation by a window. We were seated right away. Easton was our waiter, and he was so kind answering our many questions. He even remedied the iced coffee he served that was supposed to be iced tea. Food was good as always. My lunch was two Scotch eggs which I've had before, and they were filling. Others liked their salads, flat bread and burger. The music overhead was a tad loud, but we could still talk. Here is also a patio in the back, and a more intimate dining area that does not have the bar noise. Restrooms are nice.
google avatar

Aubrie H.

Yelp
Brunch here is amazing! We arrived right as they opened and were able to grab a wonderful table on the patio. They have brunch cocktails, coffee or even a beer flight. Our table loved the ginger shandy, so unique! The brunch menu has lots of options, our table ordered the breakfast sandwich and the asparagus scramble as well as the sausage gravy buccatini which was so unique and delicious. The portion sizes are very generous and the flavors are top notch. Would absolutely stop by again for brunch.
google avatar

Cindi R.

Yelp
Great friendly service with a party of 12. No issue for separate checks. On the spot service. I enjoyed a gluten free asparagus pizza with speck. Which I had to look up! That was a new one for me. (It's a cured pork) very healthy portion. Weather was perfect today so the windows/doors were all open. They have a great patio. Everything on the menu has a great unique twist.

Yelp
This brewery next to the West Side Market offered a nice respite after shopping. It was a pain to get into the building, as we had to walk all the way around because we parked by the store, which is completely separate from the bar. After walking around to several different doors, we found out way in on the street side. The beer was okay. The server didn't really know much about beer, and couldn't provide much of a description of what they had on tap. We ordered 2 flights, and found a few beers that we liked enough to order if we ever visit again.
google avatar

Joe K.

Yelp
MGB for brunch... We always stop into MGB when in CLE... The food, service, at atmosphere is some of the best you'll find in the city - everyone is super friendly (you can tell this place is well-managed). We typically come in for a late lunch before Tribe games, but we stopped in on Saturday for brunch. The food was amazing (a bit heavy for us this time around, but it was our fault because we went against our better judgement of sandwiches and salads). Nevertheless, our food and drinks were great, and our server (forgot his name - he was running the patio by all by himself and was killing it) was awesome. If you're looking for a gastropub in Ohio City (just over the bridge from downtown) other than Great Lakes BC, check out MGB.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Attended a Yelp Elite squad event with my sister. It was great. The beer was great, the wings and pizza were deelish and the event was awesome. Cheers!
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Love this brewery! Always have such good service here and their beer menu offers a plethora of choices as well as great seasonal. Food is amazing I highly recommend the burger or the cheesy bread. Patio vibe is always good especially when the fireplace is lit.
google avatar

Kaeli K.

Yelp
10/10 best cocktail I've ever had, the Erie fog. Tastes like an alcoholic London fog. The waiter we had is the creator of the drink and that's so cool. Def come here and try out the drinks!! My new fav place in Cleveland.
google avatar

Penelope H.

Yelp
The venue's spacious event space downstairs is perfect for hosting large groups, with a variety of seating options including long tables, bar tables, and smaller setups. They provided a selection of finger foods. Great selection of beers on tap. I enjoyed the Snow Garden Winter White, which was a hazy golden hue with a citrusy and malty flavor. Great spot for private events!
google avatar

Priya B.

Yelp
Okay brewery with some shockingly good food, ideal for groups because the place is so spacious. The kind of lackluster previous reviews made me think I wouldn't enjoy this place, but coming in on an unusually hot day, this place felt like a sanctuary for seating our group of 5 (3 adults, 1 toddler, 1 pup) in under 15 minutes inside for weekend brunch with no reservation ahead of time. I was particularly impressed with the excellent service here (waiter checked on us frequently and went above and beyond to make our tired toddler and pup comfortable) when the restaurant was pretty busy. There is also outdoor seating here that seems pretty, but due to the heat, we were set on sitting inside. The beer here isn't anything to write home about, but on such a hot day, their shandy (and lemonade seltzer without the beer) were particularly refreshing and a hit with our whole group. Food came pretty quickly (within 15 min) after ordering and came PIPING hot and huge. We were hungry but still had so many leftovers -- pizzas are ideal for sharing vs an individual serving here, which we should have asked about before ordering. Everything was really good but the Bavarian pretzel with cheese was my personal favorite item. Perfect balance of yeasty deliciousness and salt with great, dunkable beer cheese. The bean salad was also refreshing and a great balance to the cheesy, filling pizzas we had. If you want a chill vibe, good for kids, with wonderful service and food when on the W 25th strip, this place is an easy crowd pleaser!
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
Came for the weekend brunch and it was... fine. The place is busy and they got a lot of folks in to enjoy the large beer selection and the food. Scotch eggs - fantastic. Would get those again. My wife got the pork schnitzel sandwich and it was pretty solid. Crispy breading on a thin cutlet. I got the steak hash which was alright. I like a good hash and this honestly could do without the steak or with a shredded beef instead. The steak was tough chunks of overcooked beef and I feel like it could have been incorporated better. The beers were okay. I got a flight to try a few. Not bad, but I've had better. There are enough styles to find one that you like. Service - I honestly don't remember the last time I had such an apathetic waiter. Like, we really seemed like an inconvenience to him and half the time he came to the table, he didn't even talk, just appeared with a "whaddya want?" look on his face. Kind of a bummer.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a brunch FEAST at Market Garden this past weekend. The ambiance is very much the hipster brewery vibe. The spot is definitely popular because there was a line to get in within 10 mins of them opening! Don't be deterred by that, though, because the space is huge and can accommodate large groups easily. For drinks, we split a carafe of the guava mimosa - yum! There were several other juice flavors we could have tried as well, and they offer a mimosa flight if you want to try more of them. Food wise, we shared several plates. My favorite, which I was surprised by, was the sausage corn dog! It was absolutely packed with flavor from all the sauces & had a perfect crunch-to-sausage ratio. For my meal I had the elote hash which was refreshing (as it was mostly veggies) & spicy. The biscuits & gravy also looked good & super filling. The avocado toast was very average & probably not worth ordering. Service was pretty good - especially considering how many tables our waiter had to accommodate. I would definitely recommend this spot! Food: B Drinks: B+ Service: B Ambiance: C+

Yelp
It's me again, back so soon! I came here with a large party, so I didn't have a choice in the matter. I was nervous, based on my previous experience. We game for brunch this time and it was a completely different experience! Everything on the brunch menu looked fabulous. Different, but not too wild. I got the French toast and it was so unique and completely amazing! My espresso martini was good too. The patio: so beautiful. And our servers were BEYOND friendly and sweet. I was also really impressed with how they handled such a large group, but putting each order on each credit card as we ordered. It made for a seamless, quick, easy checkout! 100% would come back for brunch. Definitely in my top two favorites !!!!
google avatar

Monica N.

Yelp
Margot garden is an absolute gem that combines everything you could wish for in a brewery experience. From their impressive selection of craft beers to their mouthwatering fries, and the delightful outdoor patio, this place truly ticks all the boxes. I love the prosperity wheat beer and they have impressive seasonal drinks. The fries are golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned and served hot, they complement the beer impeccably. The outdoor ambiance is simply enchanting, especially in the evening when the patio comes alive with strings of twinkling lights. It's the ideal spot to unwind and chat with friends. The service is equally commendable.

Yelp
When I first moved to Cleveland (2021), I visited Market Garden with colleagues for a work event and was blown away by how much I enjoyed the food. I never expect many plant based options and if there are, I rarely expect them to be good. So when a brewery had quality food, I was genuinely shocked. I've always said that I'd visit again, but never got around to doing so. I finally did so with a friend and the food was as great as I remembered. I had the Eggplant Sandwich and.. it was perfect; crisp, flavorful, and moist. If I make it back in time, I'd love to try the Ramp Pizza. According to our server, it's a currently a favorite. I have nothing negative to say about Market Garden. My only gripe was that they closed so early, but that's a Cleveland problem and not something that solely happens there.
google avatar

Dustin H.

Yelp
MGB's airy atmosphere, really capable staff, delicious food and general good vibes makes it a perfect destination when looking for a place to meet after a visit to the market. Run like a well oiled machine, it seems to matter what you order, you'll be more than satisfied with the food and the speed at which it comes out. On a recent visit I tried the house favorite scotch eggs, along with the fried chicken & french toast. The combination of the sweet toast with the dark and savory gravy plus the spicy honey provided an out of body experience that hung around with me for the rest of the day. Highly recommended you visit just to try this dish, which is not for the faint of heart. This thing is heavy, and very unhealthy, but in the best way possible.
google avatar

Ralph M.

Yelp
Our first visit to the basement where the jazz music was playing. The sound person managed the sound considering that the ceiling was low. Reasonably attentive service and typical bar/pub limited menu. Plenty of choices for beer!
google avatar

Evan G.

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch with a group of people. They are great for groups with lots of seating inside and outside. Their beer is consistently awesome, some classics and some experimental stuff, with great food pairings. On this visit I got the pizza and it was filling and a mix between deep dish/Detroit style.
google avatar

Stefanie N.

Yelp
It's never a bad time at Market Garden. Vast variety of beer and cocktail options. Delish appetizers. Got the potato skins this time and didn't regret it! Tip: if there's two/three of you, head right to the back bar and snag a seat or two. No need to wait for a hostess. The experienced bartenders while be ready for ya.

Nicole N.

Yelp
Not sure what we did to offend the hostess, but from the moment we walked in, we were treated like we were a burden. No eye contact, no greeting, just attitude, especially when we asked if we could sit on the patio. We weren't being demanding, just hopeful for a nice evening, but the vibe was cold and unwelcoming. It really set the tone for the night.
google avatar

Keith A.

Yelp
The most amazing burger I have had anywhere. Highly recommend for the best beers. Service was great. Love this place. Ambiance was festive and fun.

Brittney J.

Yelp
Fabulous spot. Food, service, atmosphere and of course the beer were superb. Our first time in Cleveland and we would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Ailin J.

Yelp
Mark T our server was great for a decently busy Friday night! He constantly filled my water and was available the perfect amount where he was helpful but not too nosy. Great server! Food was good! I loved the texture of my pretzel but thought the sauce was meh. Friends enjoyed the rest of their meal. Nothing fancy but due to good classic food and beer cocktail options along with a great Ohio city location, I won't be surprised if I'm back here soon.
google avatar

Kristen G.

Yelp
The good: the beer is phenomenal, the atmosphere was legit, a variety of SUCH good jams with awesome decor and style! The bad: bar service was just okay, they were trying but clearly are short staffed. The ugly: It took 2 hours to get our food. Yes of course we almost left, but they assured us the pizza was in the oven and only 20 min to go. Yes they did end up discounting our food 30% and giving my husband one beer on the house. Honestly now sure what the deal was but at that point we were wanting yo leave the food should have been free too. Sadly, there's no chance we will ever be back. We wanted to experience the city and check out a few more places but due to the insanely log amount of time spent here we were unable to do so. We did end up chatting with a local couple about our experience and they mentioned they had heard things before about the chef throwing knives around the kitchen and kitchen staff walking out. So it truly does sound like there is a kitchen staff issues at this establishment that needs to be addressed for the sake of their business. Aka go for the beer, get foot elsewhere is my honest recommendation!

Kelly M.

Yelp
My family and I were visiting Cleveland from San Diego and decided to stop by Market Garden Brewery for brunch. We were blown away not only by the delicious food and atmosphere, but especially by the exceptional service we received from our server Cali. She truly made our morning a delightful experience! From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Her friendly demeanor and knowledge of the menu helped us navigate all the great options and even provided some excellent recommendations. It felt like she went above and beyond to make us feel at home, which was so appreciated, especially since we were visiting family in the area. Thanks to her, our brunch was one of the highlights of our trip. If you're in Cleveland, I highly recommend Market Garden Brewery--not just for the food and drinks but for the fantastic service as well!

Yelp
Walked by and decided to stop in for dinner before going to the Bop Stop for a jazz show. This was the first time here. There were four of us The wait was short for a Friday evening. Enjoyed a Festivus Holiday Ale. The table had scotch eggs, Bavarian pretzels with a yummy tillamook white cheddar mustard dip, mushroom goat cheese pizza , tempura fried chicken sandwich and CAB burger. Everyone enjoyed their food and beers Service was perfect. Great evening with great folks and great food
google avatar

Anastasia B.

Yelp
We stopped here after visiting the west side market. I'm surprised that this spot doesn't have better ratings - we really enjoyed this restaurant. For a Saturday it wasn't too busy and we did not have to wait for seats. We ordered the flight of beers, smash burger, and the pretzel. I highly recommend the smash burger it was fantastic. The pretzel with cheese dip was great, and extremely fresh. Lastly the espresso martini was one of the best I have tried. Our server was friendly and helpful. There's outdoor seating, and this spot is definitely dog friendly.

William B.

Yelp
Food was terrible Over cooked and poorly prepared Seems like they don't care about the food only the beer
google avatar

Dale D.

Yelp
I rarely leave negative reviews but the service was exceptionally disappointing. My husband ordered a beer but the wrong beer was brought. Small understandable mistake. I ordered a cocktail along with the rest of the group, the rest of the group received their drinks but I did not. Turns out the server didn't put the order in. She didn't return until the end of dinner and by then we didn't have time to order another drink. Additionally, my appetizer was forgotten and the server didn't return again to check on us so I wasn't able to ask for it. We wanted to leave to grab drinks across the street but it was impossible to find our server to close out our bill. I completely understand everywhere is understaffed but if the restaurant can't accommodate the guests, then consider limiting the number of people that can be seated? I would've preferred to be told that the restaurant was full and taken my business somewhere else.
