The best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Amazing breakfast with very nice and kind employees. Definitely worth stopping for a bite to eat! This place has been around for many years and I know why.

Great little cafe! You have to have their chicken fried steak! It’s the best we’ve ever had. The food quality and quantity was amazing!

1st time here and last. I asked for condiments prior to deciding what I was going to eat, the waitress said yes they have those condiments so I placed my order. The food arrives and the waitress informed me that they are out of the condiment, I explained that I asked prior to making my order because I would’ve ordered something else how they not had the condiments. The waitress them for seeds around the corner, and tells the cook which I later Find Out is the mom that. “ this lady just said she might have to order something different since we’re out of sour cream.” Customer Service is equally as important as the food, your serving and the cleanliness of your restaurant, hopefully they can improve theirs.

Always have great service and amazing food! The quality is always consistent. I recommend the crispy Buffalo chicken sandwich!

A great diner right on the main road through town. Pricing was affordable, quality was great and the staff was super kind. If you are passing through Winfield, make it a stop on your way.

Good diner food with decent portions. I had the breakfast and it filled me up. Price was what you'd expect from a chain restaurant for breakfast, but this place had a lot more character.

The food was great .Half of us got breakfast,the other half got lunch.The waitress made us feel like family.Even though I had a small injury prior to coming in.She tried to help by giving me advice and a wet towel to ease my eye pain.Even had games for the little ones!

The market grill absolutely slaps! Highly recommend it when in winfield. Breakfast is great, Buffalo chicken sandwich is awesome, the pork tenderloin sandwich rips. 10/10 will come back. Our server was great as well!

Are they even open any more. Don't look like it most the time. No indication with signs or lighting that they are even open. Nice building though.

I have been here probably a dozen times. The service was usually good and the food is usually good as well. Although the last two times I have been in with the wife and kids we had to walk out because we waited so long just for the waitress to come take a simple drink order and say hello. We literally waited 15 minutes to see a waitress on a weekday with 15 people in the place. I live right outside Foley and love supporting small businesses. I stop in Cookes almost everyday and frequent all the other small businesses in the Elsberry, Foley, Winfield area. I am just very disappointed in a small local business not doing everything they can to keep customers when it's apparent they need them very much. Especially in this rural type area. So we headed to the Waffle House in OFallon and will most likely continue to do so when in need of breakfast.

This is pretty good place with a nice staff who is always trying to make your trip worth it. Food is pretty good. The prices are nice with the food portions. I always like going here with friend because there's that nice atmosphere. They also have a good breakfast buffet once a month

The breakfast here is so good. We just found this place but have become regulars at it quickly. It's kind of pricey for they town it's in but it is definitely worth the money. The environment is very relaxed and very casual. It's your perfect small town diner.

You get a lot for your money the pancakes take up the whole plate and are so fluffy the best breakfast ever
