I have to comment on the princess cake because I often see this place recommended for that. I've had Princes cake from several areas around the Bay Area and Sonoma and so far this is the worst. While the cake component itself was moist and enjoyable, I'm not sure what they did to the marzapan layer but it tastes like it was made with some kind of fat, it was creamy, too sweet and not at all what you would expect if you looking for high quality marzipan. The whipped cream layers were also too sweet and creamy. The bottom layer with the raspberry layer was also very dry. Not sure what this was but it was not the classic princess cake! We also tried other two partries that were also bad. This was all very disappointing as I was expecting a real gourmet experience given how much I've heard about the foodie (I consider myself one) scene in the Rockridge area and how quaint and cool the area is. I've concluded that areas like Rockridge are somewhat isolated from competition and that the people that live in these areas are not as picky given their limited choices.

Fraud is not what I was expecting today. My server did it twice. First I asked for 3 different types of cookies, all had significantly different prices per pound. He put them all in a box and charged me at the highest per-pound rate for the 3 different cookies. I pointed this out to him, and he didn't even say a word. He went using bags and grabbed new cookies and charged me separately for each bag. But surprisingly, the total cost had gone UP versus before when he first knowingly overcharged me. I brought them home and weighed them, and not surprisingly he lied about the weights of all three bags. I drove straight back and spoke to a supervisor, who re-weighed the bags and gave me a refund of double the fraudulent overcharge. This was appreciated. It doesn't change the fact that they have an employee who is knowingly committing fraud, twice to me, and it would be surprising to me if I were the only one he was doing it to. Beware.

I had the passionfruit and lemon cheesecake and it was absolutely DIVINE! The flavor had a perfect balance of sweet and tart. You could actually taste the passionfruit and the lemon was subtle enough to not be overpowering. The texture was rich and creamy. It was $4.95 for a slice but the slice was very dense and filling so I found the pricing reasonable. I can’t wait to try other treats!

Went to this bakery a couple of times while in the Bay area. They have really good cookies. Particularly the ginger cookies and almond cookies plus we also has egg bites, yum great protein, we had pizza which was very cheesy and assorted pastries, see pics. Recommend.

5: Magic chocolate cake. Seed bread stick. Skip: Cheese pizza. Not what it looks. Try seasonal pizza menu instead. Seats should be short.

Google
My wife and I got take-out. She loves their pizza. I ordered a ham and cheese roll. Why!? There were literally a few pieces of chipped ham and what cheese there was, was only on the outside edges where it had melted out. There was almost nothing except bread, tasty as the bread itself was. My wife will keep buying their pizza, but I probably won't order from them again.

Google
I'm so lucky to work nearby! Everyday I eat their morning bun or pecan pullover or oatmeal walnut scone; all a treat and reasonably priced. Lunch they have pizza by the slice, beef or chicken pot pies, sandwiches. Excellent and great selection of desserts.

When I am in the East Bay, I love coming to this place for great pastries , desserts, and coffee. It's a fantastic neighborhood for everyone!! Outside this hall, there are tons of great restaurants and cafes to visit as well!!

Yelp
i decided to get myself a dessert since i was already in the Market Halls. the dulce de leche cupcake caught my eye, and i gotta say it was elite! the bakery also has much more options with croissants, coffee and organic breads

Yelp
Old pastries crawling with BUGS. Disgusting. When we pointed this out to the cashier, Juan, instead of apologizing, he dismissed us and said, "I don't see any bugs." He actually made us PROVE to him that there were bugs inside the pastry. Sure enough, once opened, the pastry was full of them. We should not have had to convince the staff that their food was infested - it was obvious and unacceptable. The lack of accountability and the attitude from the staff made the experience even worse. Absolutely vile and unsanitary. Save yourself the risk & avoid this place at all costs.

Yelp
My wife's favorite cake is a good princess cake so I ordered one well in advance of the special day to make sure everything was perfect. The most important part was that a simple Happy Birthday message would be written on it. On the day I went to pick it up, the cake was enclosed in a box and plastic wrapped. Having a far drive to get the cake home, I wanted to avoid opening the box and exposing the cake to hot hair. I asked the staff to confirm that the cake had its message written on it. They verbally confirmed this and read the message off to me from the phone order slip. That was good enough for me, I trusted the staff. Don't make this mistake! I would recommend checking your order before leaving. When it came time for cake time the next day I was incredibly disappointed to find that the birthday message was left off the cake. This was a big let down for me and my wife. It's not the biggest issue in the world but our family has few occasions and resources for celebrations and this error really soured the event. I don't even know how to rate the cake. Everyone had a slice but all I could taste was disappointment and regret.

Yelp
Nice selection of some interesting baked goods. Chocolate Hazelnut Torte: 4.5/5. Really well done. Rich chocolate flavor complemented with hazelnuts. Bittersweet chocolate loaf: 3.5/5. Very rich looking but not as chocolatey as I was hoping for (adding chocolate chips would make this heavenly).
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Amazing pizzas! I love their sweet potato leek pizzas. From the sweets, definitely try their chewy ginger cookies. They are heaven. I also highly recommend trying their mini loaf cake - the raspberry pistachio flavor is divine. I would recommend stopping in outside of rush hours, as the wait can be long.
google avatar

Alex A.

Yelp
IMO the morning roll is the absolute best--think flaky cinnamon roll!!! Be sure to have them heat it up for you = even better. Their savory items are good too such as spicy beef turnover. Going back for the 3rd time to try pizza and more, can't wait.

Yelp
Was passing through and ended up making a purchase as the squash pizza caught our eye. Such a tasty large piece with a chewy crust, topped with a tangy cheese and pieces of what looked like kale. Definitely a unique slice that I would eat again. Came by on the weekend, very packed! But the number ticket system works well. The staff was kind to warm up our pizza, and then we took it outdoors to eat at the tables offered. Quite busy, hectic and loud inside. There are so many other baked goods offered. I'd definitely come back to try their hefty galettes, pumpkin drops and slices of cake!

Yelp
my uncle always gets his pastries from here for family events. The service is generally good, the ambience is a café with outdoor seating and a grocery store.

Yelp
Saturday I experienced an employee drop the utensil that was used to grab my croissant with I asked her if she had dropped it and she ignored my question and proceeded to bag my pastry her name was Gladys- I asked to speak to a manager and she replied with and I quote" I am the manager" with a rude tone I felt uncomfortable so I just walked out. I'm unsure if she was or not but working in customer service is a choice ...

Banana B.

Yelp
Writing this review mainly to remind myself... It's kinda rough just being here. Some of the workers seem really annoyed to have to help, and then customers are quite demanding, so I get why the workers aren't super thrilled to be there. There are lines everywhere, and if you don't pay close attention to the numbers, they just skip over you. Other areas don't use the numbers, but you also don't know where to line up. We couldn't stay long because the little one needed a bathroom, and there wasn't one there or there wasn't a friendly face I could ask. We were finally able to get a slice of cake but it just felt so smothering to have so many impatient people around and unhappy workers. It's a very odd place or maybe it was an odd day?
google avatar

Yelp
We've dropped into Market Hall Bakery a couple times now for a weekend tasty treat. I adore that the space is fairly open, and has a few tables outside for seating. The honey usually gets a loaded focaccia and I tend to choose the flaky chicken or beef turnovers, all of which we get heated up. I personally like the spicy beef just a little bit better, however the flavor of the dough does come out a bit more in the chicken. The service has always been helpful and prompt, and the entire set-up is fantastic for a chill weekend morning. All in all, we'll definitely return.

Yelp
My friend was feeling down in the dumps, and so what better way to cheer someone up than a sweet delectable dessert. I ended up getting the chocolate mousse and princess cake. Price wasn't an issue but the slices were huge so I'm sure worth every penny. It was raining out but that didn't stop this delivery woman. With a handwritten card in hand, scribbled lyricism by yours truly, and nature's raindrops leaving its mark on the cake box, I made it. Unbeknownst to me, the princess cake had a sentiment value that touched my heart. I haven't had these cakes therefore I can't give it 5 stars, however, my friend said this cake was better than the one he's had in the past. Winner in my book!

Yelp
I was late with my order to I ended up getting a Tiramisu cake. I was so glad they were able to decorate it. I was able to pick it up within 4 hours. It was lovely and delicious. I also took advantage of discounts around the store. Yay!! Grateful for the options and sweet customer service throughout!

Yelp
This review is not for the bakery items at Market Hall; their products are always very good. The review is for the writing on a cake I bought for a special occasion. This is the second time this has happened. I bought a tres leches cake (delicious) and asked if they still do writing on the cakes. They said "of course, no problem." Imagine my disappointment when I got to the party, opened the box and saw what was a barely legible "Congrats!" It was so bad that the caterer actually asked "what does it say?" Ugh. If there isn't someone who can predictably do nice writing on cakes they should simply stop offering it as an option. This is the second time they've ruined a special occasion gift. (Yes, I should've known better.) Definitely check the writing BEFORE you leave the bakery unless this (see photo) is acceptable to you.

Yelp
Pastries are fine, but it's overrated and too crowded. Pick up and go, not enough seatings.

Yelp
Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Wait time: 5 minutes in line on a Saturday at 1pm Portion size: medium Value: 8/10 This is my second time coming here for their beautiful and tasty large fruit tart! It is hands down the best fruit tart I have ever eaten. It's so fresh with sweet and juicy fruits every time, even during the winter months! I don't know how they do it! The custard is soft and mildly sweet and gives a smooth texture in between the crust and fruits. The crust is the best! So buttery and delicious! I like how this dessert isnt overwhelmingly sweet like some desserts. It's also got that refreshing taste since there are lots of fruit on top which is super nice after a big dinner. I brought this to Thanksgiving in 2021 and again to a friend's dinner, and each time it was a hit! The fruit tart was all gone even though we were super full from dinner! Definitely a fan favorite! This place also has fresh breads and other pastries that I really want to try as well. I heard they also make their very own fresh pasta which I also need to try! There is definitely something for everyone here and I recommend looking and taking your time! Next time, I'm cooking Italian I'm gonna try some fresh pasta to make my homemade spaghetti and their bread to make Gaelic bread!

Stephen K.

Yelp
This bakery needs a new baker. They consistently produce some of the worst apple turnovers ever made. They are always burnt, over-baked, doughy, and the filling taste like applesauce. I've made several complaints in the past but no one listens.
google avatar

Sabeena B.

Yelp
Came here looking for a sweet treat while in the Oakland area. We tried the vanilla cupcake and the butterscotch pudding. The vanilla cupcake was not very good. It was way to dense and the frosting was so hard it hurt my teeth to bite into it. The butterscotch pudding, however, was really really good. I had a few bites and it was packed with flavor but could easily become too much if I had more. Definitely will come back again for the pudding!

Yelp
First time visiting in person after trying the fruit tart from a party, I had to come get one myself while I was in the area. Hands down one of the best fresh fruit tart I have had. The crust is nice & buttery, fruits aren't over ripened, & cream is the perfect sweetness. Other pastries and desserts looked delicious as well. Will have to give them a try when I return. The downside is that parking can be a bit tedious and since it is near Bart, it can get super busy on this street.
google avatar

Cheryl M.

Yelp
It's been a good 6-7 months since visiting and now I remember why! When I look at all the goodies in the case, I get a bit overzealous with my purchase...hey, not a bad thing during this time as my family gets to enjoy these wonderful goodies while helping small business. Market Hall Bakery has a variety of savory (quiches, focaccia, turnovers, breads and sweet (cakes, cookies, pastries) goodies but my usual: * SPICY BEEF TURNOVER - flaky, buttery pastry filled with a flavorful ground beef with a slight kick * RICCIARELLI (almond cookies!) - if you love the flavor of almonds you'll love these soft, nutty, chewy, sweet cookies - I heart them! * PULL-APART CROISSANT - pieces of dough (formed like monkey bread) baked with caramel and pecan...similar to a sticky bun but using croissant dough - wowzer! * SNAIL - puff pastry with raisins and pearl sugar..not too sweet and delicious - delicious All 5 star items in my opinion and perfect for a "fancy" brunch...no Costco quiche here!...you can grab a Highwire Coffee after doing damage as it's about 30 steps over in a shared space. Service at the bakery was friendly, wonderful, patient and respectful while choosing items...especially, when everyone seems on edge these days so it's nice to receive service that's "normal" with a smile...major kudos! Safety protocols with one direction in, out, plenty of signage, staff wearing masks, plexi, etc. Arrived around 8:30 am on a Saturday with no line and plenty of parking

Yelp
I've stopped by Market Hall Bakery a handful of times and while it's a good bakery, it's certainly not my favorite. The pastries here are expensive -- as one would expect from an artisanal bakery. However, they're not the type of pastries you'd line up for hours for to bring over to your friend's house expecting them to be utterly blown away. Additionally, depending on what time you stop by, you may find the variety of pastries being offered to be pretty limited. I purchased an apple pear galette this past weekend and it tasted similar to one that I've purchased from Whole Foods before. The Brazilian cheese bread I purchased tasted a little stale, and was comparable to a cheese bread I've had at Andersen Bakery. With so many incredible pastry and coffee options in Oakland and Berkeley as competition, I hope Market Hall can step up its game to improve its pastries.

Yelp
My new favorite here is the Pizza Dough which sells for about $5. Since SIP started, I am cooking almost everyday, but I cook pretty simple stuff on weekdays. I don't have a lot of time to cook something complicated M-F since I have a lot of work to do even during SIP. I work through breakfast and lunch, just coffee, and then eat an early dinner around 4. Their pizza crust is convenient. You just take it out about an hour before you need to cook your pizza. The dough easily spreads on my 12 inch cast iron pan, then you put your pizza sauce (Market Hall Produce sells a bottle of sauce from Italy) and your cheese and toppings. Off it goes in a 500 degree oven and 15 minutes later you have an amazing pan pizza. Easy weeknight dinner for sure! We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago with a Princess Cake from here. I took a break from baking since it was a special occasion. Omg it was great. So moist, and love the buttercream and marzipan.i would definitely get that here again. I also love the Salted Caramel Chocolate Bars. It's very popular so they always run out of it. So if I see it, I buy one.

Yelp
I ordered a small 6" tres leches cake the same day as I was scrambling to buy a cake last minute. I called, placed the order which was smooth . Finding parking was a little difficult but totally worth it! The cake had a cursive font made out of chocolate! And the cake was delicious! It was a very interesting taste for a 3 leches but nonetheless it was very tasty, and just perfect . My picky eater/bday person loved it!!!
google avatar

Mariah K.

Yelp
Wow.. My coworkers and I were gifted this pastry box full of variation and everything I've tried so far was SO delicious! There was an egg bite with bacon and spinach I believe and it was so flavorful. I also tried the blueberry scone, I had it with some coffee and it was delicious. (Both of these pastries are not pictured because my coworker and I ate them so fast!) I can't wait to try everything else. There's a pastry filled with chicken, I believe it may be an empanada and it smells good. I'm having it for lunch! YUM, try this place!
google avatar

Cathy H.

Yelp
Stumbled into this bakery as I was in the area looking to buy a cake for my grandma's birthday. I wanted something soft so she could easily bite into it. Saw this seasonal cheesecake on display and it looked pretty good. Turns out the seasonal flavor was lemon. You could order a small or large; I bought the large one for $44. They're able to write words on top of it if you ask, so we got 'happy birthday grandma!' written in white chocolate. Lemon curd layer on top was nice and tart to balance out the sweet and heaviness of the cheesecake. Everyone quite enjoyed the cheesecake so I would recommend trying it but it is pretty expensive so depending on your budget, maybe not.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
If you're going to mess up birthday dinner planning, better to have 2 cakes than zero, right?! It was 3pm on a Friday and I needed a cake for my husband's family birthday dinner at 6pm. Called Market Hall Bakery and they were super helpful! Asked me the number of people, gave a choice of at least 3 or 4 small cakes available, confirmed the spelling for his name on the birthday message, took payment over the phone, had my cake ready even when I was 10 minutes early for my pickup time. I have never really liked tres leches cake and I think that's because I had only had cheap grocery store versions. This one was flavorful and sweet but not too sweet. 100% would eat again. Made a note to my future self to order a chocolate hazelnut cake for my own birthday in a couple months.
google avatar

Jaime N.

Yelp
The cheddar and bacon cheesebite was soft, eggy, and very satisfying. The cheesebread with fontina and Asiago cheese was crisp on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside with strong cheese flavors. I had both warmed and truly enjoyed my breakfast with my tea latte.
google avatar

Carolyn S.

Yelp
Ordering: had some trouble with the website but then ordered over the phone in 3 minutes. Super easy and pleasant! Cake: soooo noms, perfect level of wetness and sweetness, everyone loved it Pickup window: supposed to be within an hour time frame (according to the website) but they let you come anytime during that day :)

Yelp
Best place for hand pies, without a doubt! Call them, pastries, empanadas, or turnovers, whichever way you call them there's simply delicious. And while you're at it, stop by to pick up the princess cake. One of my favorite bakeries.!

Esme E.

Yelp
The gingerbread cookies are the best I've had by far in anywhere in the world just fantastic! All of their bakery items are spectacularly good and the whole Market Hall area is so much fun to shop in
google avatar

April V.

Yelp
Really cool spot for foodies in the Bay Area. There were a number of different offerings but we were in treat mode. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the Persian rice pudding very light subtly sweet with hints of cardamon and saffron. Chocolate chip cookies were good not great--you have to come hard with chocolate chip cookies in my opinion. They were crisp and soft but missing a little saltiness to balance the sweet. I enjoyed the tiramisu also and my daughter liked the lemon cheesecake. Recommend the morning bun also!
google avatar

Jen E.

Yelp
Can you bring back the chocolate hazelnut torte? Good bakery, but it seems like they've stopped making some of their best items and quality has gone downhill. Does everything have to get worse all the time? Growing weary of this trend.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
This bakery never disappoints. My most recent visit, I came hoping to get a slice of Princess cake. There were no more in the display case but I asked anyways and they were so kind to cut a new cake so I can order my slice. It really made my day! They also have amazing crispy chocolate chip cookies.
google avatar

Sergio O.

Yelp
Tres leches cake cake is incredible at this place, it makes for a great item to bring to a holiday party or birthday party. Can't go wrong with the princess cake too!
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Researched for a good bakery online (there seem to be very few where I live). Was disappointed when I arrived and realized it was also a coffee shop. I was expecting the desserts to be the mass produced stuff that comes in cellophane. I was WRONG! The desserts were fresh, flavorful, well balanced - this will be my go to for fancier desserts! Tried the princess cake (has marzipan as fondant), black magic cake, chocolate mousse cake, tres leches, fruit tart, tiramisu, and pumpkin bomb cookies. All were great and what I expected them to taste like - except the pumpkin bomb cookies which were soft with a cream cheese icing - amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by earlyish on a Saturday after taking a family member to BART. What a treat, there were so many luscious things to pick from I had a hard time deciding. Went for a combo platter of savory and sweet. My eggy bite with feta and bacon was a soft fluffy cloud of goodness. The fruit galette with nectarines was the perfect balance of sweet and tart and flaky. The seasonal scone with cherry and almond did not scrimp on either ingredient. I am never going to Rockridge BART without making a side trip here again. I can't believe I have been missing out.
google avatar

Melinda M.

Yelp
Only here for the tres leches cake. Which is 5 stars. Although the tres leches SLICE OF CAKE didn't seem moist and the cake slice was dense. It might be because i bought an individual cut slice. I notice that cakes keep well when not sliced, ordered as a WHOLE CAKE then not sliced until ready to serve. I tried a raspberry thumbprint cookie and almond cookie. The thumbprint cookie seemed a little stail. It might've been because of the case is chilled. I saw that there was some condensation inside the display. The almond cookie was just okay. It tasted like almond extract and I'm not a fan of that. I didn't try any breads. They looked fresh just by eyeballing them and I think next time I will come by and walk out with a whole tres leches cake and also grab a few freshly breads or pastries instead.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
Best fruit tart! I usually do not do Yelp reviews but since I am so picky about fruit tarts I had to because this was so so yummy. The fruit was sweet, the cream had a hint of vanilla bean and the crust was buttery. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be coming back. The prices are reasonable for the quality forsure.

Yelp
Probably going to hell for all the lying I've done. I don't think it's egregious-these particular lies- but where I come from the only justification for a lie is to save a life. This place has absolutely saved me from going insane but the lie isn't that it has saved my life a time or two. I'll get there. And explain. Hold on. I love this bakery. Love. Not said lightly. I don't even say it to my 4 yr attachedman. I salivate at the thought of Market Hall's twisted cheesy sticks or their brown butter almond torte or their deep dark chocolate cake or the one with olive oil and orange or their apple pecan cakes or their pizzas or or or... Had no idea they were open during pandemic crazy. Yes. Yes. Yes. Why? Cause they're an essential for sure. So what was I saying about lying and hell and all that? Invited to a dinner or to someone's home for any reason or to a party and I bring one of these cakes. I put it on my plate decorate the surrounding delicacy with maple leaves and adorn the top maybe with raspberries and and...claim I made it. Yep. I do. I did. I'm an excellent cook but not so much a baker. But oh the bakers at Market Hall award winning. If you don't agree then you've been eating too many marginal desserts. The prices aren't obscene either and well they could be for what you're getting. It's pretty hard for all of us right now. Having something so delicious and familiar keeps me sane and adds to the happy bank-which is low these days. Do something for yourself. Sure you people baking breads and all yay great, but go indulge too. Sit in your car in your home, take a pause, and savor these delicacies.

Robert E.

Yelp
Excellent Armond cakes and pies. The rest of the pastries looked to be a very high-quality as well although I did not try them yet

Yelp
So, I'm already light weight obsessed with the Market Hall in general but the Market Hall BAKERY?! Now, THAT'S just another story! This place stocks practically every delicious baked good that you can think of! Cupcakes, cookies, bread loafs, fruit tartlets, cakes... hell, they even make some damn good pizza too! This is sincerely a carboholic's dream hut! Just be forewarned; if you walk into this bad boy on an empty stomach, you are prone to lose total and utter control of yourself! Even on a full stomach, my cravings start to transpire quicker than gym sweat. The worst... or the best time to go is during the holidays because that's when they have their seasonal selections out! I only say "worst" because this is when I tend to go completely cray and I just buy up every damn seasonal item because it's "seasonal". I must admit that they have some of the best cupcakes here! Traditionally, I've never been a huge cupcake and/or cake fan, BUT... I will gladly eat 14 of them at a time here! If you ever have the pleasure of coming here around Cinco De Mayo, get their tres leeches cake or cupcake! 'Tis BOMB.com! Moist is an understatement when talking about their yummy cupcakes! Jesus, all of this talk has got me craving for a cupcake now! Let's not forget to mention the friendly staff behind the counter! I've always had a pleasant experience and they are always happy to offer their advice and opinion on the items that they carry. So, you got them carb cravings, huuuuh? Welp, the Market Hall will help you solve that problem... REAL quick!

Stephen K.

Yelp
After years purchasing apple turnovers from Market Hall's Bakery I am finally done! Weekly I've come in to purchase 4 apple turnovers or more. The quality, consistency, and taste have changed dramatically. Some days they are burned to a crisp. Other days they look like baked bananas stuffed with apple fillings that taste like apple sauce. Other times they are doughy and lumpy. Sad to see something that once were great to eat turn to junk food. Not that anyone cares, but I'm done.

Yelp
Cookies are pricey but crispy chocolate chip cookies are excellent better than tates but twice as expensive thumbprint cookies are ok chocolate chip banana walnut bread was too dry at first but was better after getting it moist

Yelp
Christmas sugar cookies are now in stock and theirs are truly delicious. They have lots of good things at this bakery. I love their biscuits and chocolate chip cookies. But there are many good things to try here. Awesome place!

Yelp
Got a tres leches cake for my moms birthday , everyone loved it ! There is parking in the back , it wasn't busy at all . There is also many other options to pick from , they all looked great . Totally recommend

Yelp
Love everything here! Must try the fruit tart 10/10 and the croissants with a delicious cup of coffee. This is a perfect place to spend an afternoon or grab a snack on the go. I gifted the fruit tart to a friend and they raved about it for days! I also recommend the double chocolate chip cookies and the jam filled cookies 10/10 I also get the sweet sourdough bread here and it's really good. I have been told all their baked goods come in at around 9:30 am so that's the freshest it can get. Note: They slice the bread upon request and I honestly think it makes all the difference so do ask. Note : Also the key to the bathroom hangs near the door and it is located to the left of the bakery when you are facing it. Really helpful to know this because it looks like they have no bathrooms at all when you browse trough. The staff is friendly and helpful too. It's a great place to either catch up with a friend or just relax and people watch as it's always very lively. Will definitely be a regular customer here.

Yelp
Excellent cakes and pies! We've gotten the fruit tart, which has incredibly fresh fruit and a great variety of fruit with a light and not-too-sweet custard in a solid crust. We've also gotten the black magic chocolate cake which is super decadent. I like the interior chocolate frosting but the exterior shell is almost a bit too much! The chocolate cake could be a tad bit more moist. I really look forward to trying their other cake and pie options!

Yelp
Great little place to pick up some desserts to go! We went later in the day so the rest of the market was closed, but the pastries were tasty! The winner was the tres leches cake- perfectly moist and delicious. The passion fruit cheesecake was stellar, I have just had a lot of other great fruit cheesecakes whereas I rarely get a fantastic tres leches cake! Lots of options that all looked delicious

Yelp
The red pepper and pesto focaccia is amazing! The dough is super soft inside but crispy outside, and the topping is very generous! It is better than places in Little Italy in north beach.
