A Three-day Eating and Drinking Tour on the Chesapeake Bay

"Follow the street down to the waterfront and you'll come to the 160-year-old Market House, which has a new food hall and grocery packed with purveyors of local goods such as cider, seasoning mix, and fresh-from-the-bay oysters." - Hannah Walhout Hannah Walhout Hannah Walhout is a senior editor at Travel + Leisure, where she edits the Discoveries section of the print magazine and develops longer stories focusing on food, wine, and spirits. We were greeted professionally by Steve Han, who provided a comprehensive tour of both buildings. Throughout the tour, he shared a great deal of helpful and informative details. I was very impressed with the apartments, amenity spaces, and the overall location of the buildings. Once my current lease ends, I plan to move into either Rigby or Market House in early April. Thank you for the excellent customer service and for taking the time to show us both properties.

I have greatly enjoyed living here for the past two years. The apartment building is in a convenient location and offers a wide variety of amenity spaces that enhance the living experience. Overall, this community would be exceptional if all residents were more mindful about cleaning up after themselves and being considerate of shared spaces. I believe the management team is doing their best to maintain these large buildings in excellent condition. Special thanks to Steve for his efforts and support!

I had the pleasure of working with Davasiajah while apartment hunting, and she was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we connected, she was welcoming, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive to what I was looking for. She took her time walking me through the community, answering every question with patience and confidence, and offering helpful details I hadn’t even thought to ask about. Her professionalism and positive energy really stood out, and she made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to come across someone who truly goes above and beyond, and she absolutely did. If you’re apartment searching, I highly recommend asking for Davasiajah, she’s amazing at what she does!

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Laila for helping me with my apartment search at Market House! Since I'm all the way across the country and couldn't check out the units in person, she took the time to send me tons of videos for each one. Laila was super responsive and answered all my questions with ease. I really appreciate everything you did, Laila! Thank you! 12/10/25: Editing this post to take a moment to highlight Davasiajah! She has been incredibly helpful since the day I moved in. No matter the question, she always has an answer and is very responsive. Her excellent customer service will greatly benefit MH. Based on the comments below, I’m not the only one who feels this way! Great job, Davasiajah; keep up the fantastic work! :) Laila and Davasiajah are the go-to individuals! Also, the most recent Holiday Karaoke event... 10/10!!! Hey Naughty Santa!!

As a DC native, this is one of the most decent buildings in the area… especially out of the three that’s over here on this corner. The staff is always friendly, my favorite concierge is Ms. Robin, she always gives an at home vibe. The leasing office is always friendly Ms. Taylor is very helpful and responsive. I’ve lived here 2 years and I’m shooting for a third, things aren’t perfect of course this is DC BUT maintenance is responsive and our building is ALWAYS clean. It’s also pretty secure, the units are small but it’s a 10/10 walk score very convenient. Perfect for a single person, who work with a side of party

The holiday party and karaoke night organized by Four Corners was an unforgettable experience. Creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that buzzed with holiday cheer. Laughter and music filled the air as guests mingled and sang their hearts out. One of the highlights of the evening was the indulgent s'mores station; the rich chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and perfectly toasted graham crackers were simply out of this world! . I’m already looking forward to their next event, eager to create more joyful memories!

I took a study break to enjoy the holiday festivities. It was a full fledge party with a gorgeous grazing board, two tables filled with yummy food. The bartenders were funny, and made really good drinks. I enjoyed the habachi style snores. The naughty santa saw that I had a tupac shirt and made a funny joke about tupac would enjoy the items in her sack. Markethouse please hire 4 Corners Entertainment again for great comedy and events.

The market house was a beautiful property. It was very clean and well-put-together. I’m helping my friend find her dream home, and Davasiajah was absolutely incredible. She was super friendly, kind, and polite. She’s making the apartment hunting process super smooth for my friend. Highly recommended!

Yelp
critical issues impacting the safety, livability, and overall management of Market House. These problems demand immediate attention and resolution. Firstly, significant safety concerns persist. Specific details regarding these concerns are needed for a comprehensive response. Please provide specific examples, locations, and times when safety issues were observed. Secondly, there are reports of inaccurate and potentially inflated charges on utility bills. Residents require a detailed explanation of these charges and a thorough review of the billing system to ensure accuracy. Documentation supporting these claims, such as copies of the bills in question, would be beneficial. Thirdly, the quality of maintenance is consistently subpar. Reports of damage to units and buildings left unaddressed for extended periods (over a month in some cases) are unacceptable. Detailed descriptions of the damage, including photographic evidence where possible, are crucial to assessing the extent of the problems and facilitating timely repairs. Fourthly, the parking garage continues to be a source of significant problems. Addressing the parking issues mentioned in my previous communication remains a priority, and additional details are needed to help resolve them. Finally, system failures, such as the recent payment system outage, have resulted in additional fees being imposed on residents. This practice is considered unfair and unacceptable, especially given the existing issues with billing and maintenance. These ongoing issues create a stressful and unsatisfactory living environment. Swift, decisive action is required to address these concerns comprehensively and restore a safe and properly managed community at Market House. I expect a prompt response detailing the steps you will take to resolve each of the points outlined above.
