Yelp
Market of Choice is expensive. Now that we have that out of the way, here is what I love, prices aside.
They have a good selection of produce, and a good selection of dry grocery. I must admit, I don't care. My heart will always belong to the specialty cheese department, meat department, and the deli. Mary is the head of the cheese department. You will see her dressed the part, packed with information and a generous smile. I adore her. She reminds me of my old days working at Natures in Lake Oswego. She has passion for cheese, and it shows. I just want to hug her every time I see her.
The guys who work behind the deli counter are sweet. One of them always remembers me from when I worked at The Green Grocer in OC. I am flattered. The new manager has really beefed up their selection, and that means more Diestel products, yay! I wish they carried Applegate Farms, maybe in the future? (hint, hint)
The meat department is just as friendly, and packed with Painted Hills products (one of the better meat distributors). I am pleased that they stay local when they can. I like to see sustainably raised animals, and humane treatment is a must in my book. They have a great variety of house made pork and chicken sausages, all tasting great and often on sale.
The bakery is packed with treats for any and all cravings. Their croissants are delicious, they sell out quickly. I always have friendly service while shopping, though not always at check out. I prefer New Seasons, but MoC more than works when I cannot make the drive to Happy Valley.
It is a very fun place to shop, price aside. They have a very good selection of bulk spices too.
