Kerriann and Jaden were so gracious in my request for a pizza. Not only were they able to fulfill my request for extra toppings they went above and beyond, making sure that everything was absolutely perfect. Robert came in for comedic relief at the end, and it made for an incredible experience. They all deserve a raise. Thank you again. I can’t wait to see you all soon!

We love going to Market of Choice for specialty items or special occasions. Their selection of produce is amazing, they have many items for people with dietary restrictions. (We especially enjoy their varied vegan/dairy free options). It can be costly, but the store is always immaculate, the product top notch and people who work there helpful and friendly.

Best rotisserie chicken get some free ranch at the salad bar. Great place for a good lunch. Get a whole cooked chicken done right for 6 or 7 bucks bless this place and all who work there. Thank you for your kind service.

The folks are super awesome that work here! Beer and wine selections are amazing! Food is a little pricey but quality and delish! Plus it’s our local market so go here a lot for odds and ends.

Awful customer service today. The young girl who helped me didn’t say one word. Had a scowl on her face the entire time while ringing my groceries up. Another customer in the store were equally rude. Had zero patience’s that my grandchildren might have stepped in their way on accident. (3 and 6) This lady literally screamed at me. Not one worker asked what they could do to help. Awful experience in this store! Will never be back. Pretty sad if this is what their “community” is all about. No thank you!

Bakery is fabulous! Nothing negative to report at all! They do catering orders for parties in cakes and cupcakes. They have an amazing pastry area and everything tastes great. Customer service is spot on and so helpful. If you need cupcakes or cake for a party start here!

This grocery market is Better then Whole Foods before Amazon ruined it. They have a large selection of local organic foods. From delI meats to fresh produce. The store is very clean and cashIers are friendly.

While expensive, MOC is my "spa grocery store". It's friendly, never crazy busy, people always friendly - and they have an incredible meat/seafood counter, deli, cheese and wine section. It's definitely our go-to for quality meat/seafood for those special occasions. And for finding any quality/delicious GF alternatives. Love love love MOC

Ive been coming here consistently for several years - While the attitude of the staff has never been stellar, the selection for specialty items is better than other options around, so I let it go. Unfortunately my last few visits and I need to write this review to give the store an opportunity to address what seems to be a store wide issue. The staff at specific departments, most notably the deli and meat department are exceptionally rude and treat clients as an imposition. The barely give the time of day, act as if run of the mill questions are a terrible imposition to them and generally mistreat their customers. I will begin taking my business elsewhere but hope that the management of this branch takes a moment to address the poor attitudes of the staff.

I love market of choice. You can find anything here and their selections are great. Desserts, cheese counter, deli, prepared foods, gifts, groceries, and even pressed orange juice. We ordered our Thanksgiving dinner here and enjoyed it tonight and it was fantastic. Meat eaters + vegetarians/vegans all got to eat and everything was seasoned so well. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, it's just a great place to shop. Yes, you're not going to get the same low priced groceries as say, grocery outlet, but the prices aren't absurd and the quality/variety is worth it.

I love this store! Items they carry are great. Staff are so nice and so helpful, it almost makes me want to work here.

Incompetent meat department. Absolutely zero allergen awareness. Prepared foods stored above (and dripping onto) plain meat. I occasionally have purchased prepackaged meats recently (chicken parts, pork tenderloins) - items that they don't touch. I won't even be doing that after the latest incident. I ordered a FRESH turkey for Thanksgiving with a Monday pickup so there was plenty of time for the "surface frost" to finish defrosting. When I picked it up, I told the butcher that it was frozen. "Oh no, it's just the surface frost. It's fine and will be fully defrosted by tomorrow." Well, 2 days later I have a fully hard, turkey boulder with large ice balls around the thighs and inside. Impossible to brine in time and I strongly suspect it's been refrozen due to the ice balls. You had one job.... Never again.

Amazing store with a great deli, wine selection, and tons of local and organic food. My husband is always wowed when we visit compared to everywhere else we've lived/stayed/shopped. I don't think folks realize how good they have it here.

Pleasant physical space. Prices out of line with other market options in Eugene--sometimes by dollars on a single item. No 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef options, only grain-(corn) finished. Way too much plastic packaging.

Management's customer service is poor to non-existent. I sent an email to them regarding a problem I had with the clerk at the bakery when they refused to slice a loaf of bread that I was buying, asking about the store policy on this. I never got a response.

This Market of Choice is close enough to the 205 Abernathy bridge that I frequently drive this way coming home from the airport. Being so Oregon Local, the produce is so fresh, and reasonably priced. I like Market of Choice, because they have a broad range for us buy local lovers in terms of economy shoppers and connoisseurs. For economy shoppers, they often have high quality local ranchers ground beef on sale. Fresh Asparagus this week is $5.99/lb much fresher than Whole Food 365, where Asparagus is cheaper, older, and tasteless. For connoisseurs, their fresh bakery and gourmet cheese selection is very nice. You can order bread in advance, since they usually sell out of the most popular ones. If you want to really social distance, come after dark. Daytime is very busy.

By far one of the best grocery stores Ive been to! When I moved here last year I always shopped at Safeway in West Linn. After shopping there I began to realize the staff was pretty rude and the store was quite rundown, and just not clean. So I looked around and found market of Choice. So happy to have this store in my community! The quality of the meat and produce are light years ahead of Safeway. And the prices? Although they are slightly higher the quality of product makes it worth it to me. Safeway has also recently raised their prices considerably, I dont see much of a difference overall between the two anymore. The staff here are all friendly and happy to help. Parking is always easy and the store is generally not overcrowded. They keep plenty of checkers, so lines always move quickly. Also, lots of good hot and to go options as well as pastries and desserts available. Come check it out!

For ffs don't buy the corn dogs. These have to be so beyond the expiration time of when they're allowed to sell them. These are so old there's a third of the batter that should be there and the dog itself is shriveled. Literally not an once of moisture to be seen anywhere and yet it's so soggy at the same time! They clearly don't care about food safety so I do not recommend anyone buy from the deli. Them saying they'll refund me the $2 price of the corn dog if I come back is not enough to make me go back and get their food again.

Wonderful market which carries natural & healthy as well as typical groceries. I especially like the personal help available in the specialty cheese section. They have a large bulk (scoop) section too with great prices for a variety of staples, including some grain- free flours. Superior bakery. Fantastic staff.

My wife and I like the various Market of Choice outlets a lot, but we do not shop at them unless we have no other ready options. Why? Their prices on seemingly all products are higher than New Seasons and Whole Foods, and considerably higher than Safeway or Fred Meyer or Walmart.

I want to like this store but it constantly disappoints. Called for a small cake needed in 72 hours, no bueno.

Well, I guess that's the last time I purchase a 4 pack package of Blueberry Muffins. Second purchase of this item within a couple of weeks of each other. The first time there was BARELY any blueberries in the muffins. Called the store just to let them know not because I was having a conniption. Maybe they just weren't aware. Okay. No big deal. Second time around the exact same thing. I mean there was barely any blueberries in these muffins. So, I'm done.

Feeling judged by your choice of market? I think we all do sometimes as the weird and wonderful of Portland culture has become the norm for shopping to be local, sustainable, organic, and good for the community. In many ways, Market of Choice seems like a similar choice to New Seasons, Zupans, and Chucks ... yet, somehow more local and exclusive without the high prices. For a place with choice in its name I found some sections limited, but also celebrated those that were unique and local. Besides how many choices do I really need? I got sweet desserts in the bakery and specialty finds in the cheese section. While I was mulling over the beers, my wife selected some of the fresh-ish seafood. We both hit the produce section for fruits, veggies, and peppers. About the only thing I didn't pick that I really wanted was the gelato. Well, that's something to choose next time, I guess. There are always lots of choices of markets when shopping in Oregon. Market of Choice like this one in West Linn is a good choice when you want local, sustainable, and organic.

Great vegan options and lots of choices from local purveyors. This often leads to fresher produce and more boutique options. The staff is very friendly and the check out process is generally very quick. Kudos to them for following safety protocols and procedures during these trying times. Buying local keeps jobs local. And plenty of parking is always a plus.

Cooper went above and beyond to provide an exemplary customer service experience! We needed help and he was so kind and helpful and absolutely made our day!

I want to love this place because they are near my house and have great products. However, the people who work here are consistently aloof and rude. No one acknowledges you. If you do engage with someone they are not friendly. What is going on here?

I will not shop at a store that doesn't follow state guidelines. I will not support a culture that values the risk takers, the irresponsible and the non- compliant shoppers over the guideline following patrons. Today was a joke. Today was also my last time shopping in Market of choice.

I'll be picking up my prescriptions elsewhere from now on. I can't shop there with the lack of safety measures.

This is one of those times I wish could mark my review for "friends only". This place is a great market - they have lots of items you don't find in the two leading chain stores in the area. For that, they charge a small premium to provide you stuff you just won't find anywhere else. The place is easy to navigate, clean, well lit, wide isles, huge selection. The staff is efficient and friendly, they have an incredible deli / hot food section. (friends only please) They squeeze and bottle fresh orange juice here every day. The half gallon bottle sells for $8. My calculations conclude that I would have to buy $10.50 worth of oranges, wash them, peel them, put them through my own juicer and clean up the mess to end up with a half gallon of freshly squeezed orange juice. I'm thrilled that they will give me a 31% discount on the cost of the produce and a 100% discount on the hassle and time to buy the juice they have. The reason I'm loathe to share this with the yelp world is that they frequently run out of this golden nectar of the gods and I'm not eager to increase my competition to find it when I drive the 20 minute one way trip to restock. (Resume Public Review - thank you for not peeking) If you're looking for that special, almost impossible to find cheese or perhaps a selection of fresh olives to serve or something quick to eat -go here. Fresh Gelato? yup. Hot sauce that costs more than you've ever imagined? yup. Do you want a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread - they'll have it, but if that's all you need, you can save some coin by going to "those other guys"

"Look to the cookie." You know it is amazing how often I think of Seinfeld episodes in my every day life. People have given raves to other Market of Choice locations for their focus on local, organic, high quality food and service. I would agree, but I personally prefer to shop at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. This location has easy parking, wide aisles, and all the special MOC bells and whistles (stone pizza oven, Mongolian grill and hot-meat carving station). The have a great selection of local and specialty beers and their berry scones are so good they make me want to cry. What is particularly good about this new store, located in the heart of West Linn, is that they have a community meeting room that they rent out for free to local organizations. We've used it several times for different club activities and it is a great place to meet. After the meeting we always let the kids pick up a treat from the bakery and last time it was the black-and-white cookie. I have to dock them at least one star for not stocking naan. In fact, the guy in the bakery didn't even know what it was?!? I have gotten some wonderful items from their prepared foods section and bakery, and love their soups, but for the cost it is a special occasion store, rather than a place I'd do my regular shopping.

The best grocery store EVER! The products are high quality and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I drive from Oregon City to shop at Market of Choice because I want the best grocery selections for my family. I appreciate their focus on local products, as well as environmental and sustainable items. Their store is clean and well stocked. I can't say enough good things about Market of Choice in West Linn!

The one star is for your amazing front end employees - otherwise, this location would get zero stars for their Assistant Manager Madeline's sheer incompetency and lack of appropriate customer service skills. I had an incident where I got home from shopping and discovered I was missing three of my 67 purchased items. I spent over $200 and was only missing a few items totally around $20 - I figured I would go in to the store and let them know and they would go grab my stuff and I would be on my way. Instead, I was treated horribly by the assistant manager on duty. Your checker Wyatt was absolutely wonderful as were the other two ladies working the front. Your "manager" on the other hand has absolutely no business managing people or working with the public in any capacity of customer service. Wyatt had initially told me this should be simple - Madeline made it nothing but simple. She treated me like a liar and a thief (relating information on the phone via Wyatt), refused to come up to the front and speak with me, wanted me to "come back" after she could view the DVR footage after I made it clear I do not live in the area, after I insisted to Wyatt I needed this taken care of tonight and to page her to the front so I could speak with her directly - she refused and insisted I walk all the way back to the meat department. When I arrived at the meat department there were no customers and Madeline was cleaning. She made no effort to greet me and when I said hello I'm looking for Madeline, she screamed I'm right here and flew up in my face. I'm sorry, but at that point I did lose my patience and my temper. She just started going off on me about "store policy" - it was apparent she was not willing to help me so I said "I understand store policy and I hear what you are saying but as someone who works in management you have handled this entire situation the exact opposite of how any competent manager should. There is always a gray area and you absolutely don't treat a customer who spent $217 in your store like this. Furthermore, Wyatt and the rest of your employees were also confused as to why this was handled in this manner." At that point Maddie said, "Wyatt is new he doesn't understand store policy." What a low life thing for a manager to do - throw her employee under the bus to an already angry customer? Wyatt was the only positive part of my experience there. I said I was getting my missing items and if she had an issue with that she could call her store manager for permission. At that point she said fine, go get the items but this is against store policy. I made it clear I was filing a complaint with her manager, she has zero management skills and should not be in any position of power, and that I would not be returning to this location as long as she worked there. She said that was my right. No apology, no empathy, absolutely awful attitude. I went and gathered my items and went back up to Wyatt to show him my receipt and items and I said, "I am so sorry if I was snappy with you - the real issue is your assistant manager and I am so sorry you have to work for someone like that. She told me you were new and I know how nerve wracking a difficult customer can be so I am truly sorry, you were wonderful." Wyatt said, "Oh thank you but I'm not new, I've been with the company for three years. I'm just new up front." Being "new" and being "new to front end" are absolutely not the same thing when it comes to knowing store policy. So not only did Madeline throw her "new" employee under the bus - she lied to me. As a store manager myself with many years leadership experience - Madeline embodies the exact OPPOSITE qualities I would look for when hiring someone for a supervisor position. I hope the store manager takes this seriously and speaks to all three employees working the front end that night. I got the impression that Madeline may mistreat the staff as well. I absolutely cannot in good conscience support a business with an assistant manager like that - I will pay more to shop at Zupans where they actually value their customers and employees.

This is still my choice of stores for over 25 years now, great variety of foods and supplements I use all the time. Foods without high fructose corn syrup and yet tastes great are not sold in the variety that Market of Choice gives me. Conventional grocery stores offer very little choices and way too many products that have an unnaturally long shelf life. I prefer whole foods, not processed. Their Deli department is fantastic, organic whole chickens and top of the line salads. Worth the trip every time. Only negative is that they should put out more cold beverages that don't have high fructose corn syrup.

I had Tristin in the bakery at this location create a VERY special cake for my special needs daughter who is also a Make-A-Wish recipient from 2007. The cake was to celebrate her survival to 21 and it HAD to be perfect! KUDOS to the bakery at this location for a PERFECT job on this cake! Party guests were AMAZED at how life like it looked! If you need specialty cake decor go to them...they do NOT disappoint!! This store has such wonderful customer service! Their employees are very friendly and always helpful. Their bakery is amazing! I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter and it was moist, fresh and decorated exactly as requested. All that for $20, was a bargain!

Apparently the COVID pandemic is over here at Market of Choice; while most customers wore masks, there was absolutely no attempt made by MOC to enforce or even suggest social distancing. People crowding around the deli and bakery counter, customers ignoring the taped spacers at the checkout lines. And worse, absolutely no cleaning observed at all. No wiping of counters, no hand sanitizing by cashiers, no one cleaning carts; just empty containers of Sanitizing wipes by both doors. For a market that promotes healthy choices I was shocked at how little they care about their community's health when it comes to COVID. I will not return.

I love Market of Choice for the specialty items. However, I will not shop where they do not enforce the policy of mandatory masks. I care about my community and those around me. I want my Market to as well.

Sadly, I can no longer go back to this store during Covid. While shopping I came across a 30ish year old guy with NO MASK ON freely moving about the store. All of the other patrons were nervous and a few spoke to workers there asking why they were allowing him to move freely about the store with no mask on? The answer? The workers were nervous, too, but the manager let him because he claimed he had a health condition that precludes his wearing a mask. (FYI: Ask your doctor -- there is NO reason anyone can't wear a mask. Even people with asthma or COPD). So the management at this store are going against state mandate to service one client, who is a liar, putting all of their workers and other clients at risk. If this dude ACTUALLY has a medical condition why doesn't he use curbside pickup? Such poor judgment calls into question how well Market of Choice is following all other protocols, mandates and laws relating to Covid or just safe food handling in general. Is it just one incompetent manager at this store or is this a corporate decision? I'm not going to put myself or my family at risk to find out. I'll be going to New Seasons from now on. UPDATE: Response to Ron R. from Market of Choice below: Thank you for responding and I hope that you really do take this seriously and contact the store. My husband called that store twice and both times spoke to a female manager (he did not get her name but he called during daytime hours.) She was the one who told him that that is the store's policy. She defiantly explained to him that she "didn't want to risk a confrontation that might endanger their staff" and she also untruthfully said that OSHA instructed her to let anyone who claimed to have a medical issue shop without a mask, which was not borne out by OSHA when we called them. If you can get this sorted out I'd love an update because otherwise I would like to return.

One if the larger Market of Choice in the Portland Metro area. Wide aisles make for very comfortable shopping. Well curated items that offer choices not seen at Whole Foods, Zupan's or New Seasons Market. I especially like their prepared frittatas which I purchase to go for breakfast the next day. Excellent cheese and wine selections too! Service is fast, friendly and efficient.

I came up to Portland last Friday to attend my Son's Parent-Teacher Conference and then spend the weekend with him. We had a great time exploring around, but I also know that the Kid often just wants to kick back at a home base with his cards, his smart device, and/or the TV. I love hanging out with him, as he does look up and tells me some really interesting things. It's also a good idea to have refreshments handy, as it adds nicely to our time together while we're at the Hotel. As I was driving up Highway 43 towards Lake Oswego, I noticed Market of Choice and decided to stop in. I had plenty of time, so at the least I figured this would be good filler time if I didn't otherwise fine something for later. This experience turned out to be a bit more as I perused a fairly impressive wine section, admired the various "meal to go" options, and otherwise wandered through entire market. It's a very nice store, with nice people, and with that casual "yuppie earth mother" quality vibe that I've learned to enjoy in these parts. I left with a nice bottle of Portuguese Rose, some cheese, bread, and other weekend munchies. I was happy with my selection and pleasantly surprised at the fairly reasonable prices. I'll make sure to stock up again the next time I pass this way again (which I hope will be soon).

Market of Choice is expensive. Now that we have that out of the way, here is what I love, prices aside. They have a good selection of produce, and a good selection of dry grocery. I must admit, I don't care. My heart will always belong to the specialty cheese department, meat department, and the deli. Mary is the head of the cheese department. You will see her dressed the part, packed with information and a generous smile. I adore her. She reminds me of my old days working at Natures in Lake Oswego. She has passion for cheese, and it shows. I just want to hug her every time I see her. The guys who work behind the deli counter are sweet. One of them always remembers me from when I worked at The Green Grocer in OC. I am flattered. The new manager has really beefed up their selection, and that means more Diestel products, yay! I wish they carried Applegate Farms, maybe in the future? (hint, hint) The meat department is just as friendly, and packed with Painted Hills products (one of the better meat distributors). I am pleased that they stay local when they can. I like to see sustainably raised animals, and humane treatment is a must in my book. They have a great variety of house made pork and chicken sausages, all tasting great and often on sale. The bakery is packed with treats for any and all cravings. Their croissants are delicious, they sell out quickly. I always have friendly service while shopping, though not always at check out. I prefer New Seasons, but MoC more than works when I cannot make the drive to Happy Valley. It is a very fun place to shop, price aside. They have a very good selection of bulk spices too.

I wandered into this store right before I went to shoot family photos in West Linn. Only needing a small package of candy canes for the kids I was about to photograph, I couldn't help but notice the bakery section in this store. Oh. Dear. Lord. I ended up purchasing chocolate crinkle cookies, chocolate chip cookies, some pie....I went crazy. And honestly, everything was so incredibly good. The kids wolfed all the cookies, and I took the pie home to my family. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'll be checking back into this store!

Disappointed. Bought a salad.A simple Italian chop salad. Was supposed to have a white balsamic dressing but no dressing there. Rip off for $9. Bakery is nice but most food overpriced.

GIANT HUGE BEER SELECTION!!! My Lady of Choice and I came here after Sushi one night for some more Japanese beer. After wandering around the store for a bit and almost getting lost a few times, we found the beer corner and our jaws dropped. They have three-15+ foot long reach-ins STUFFED with single bottles, 6-packs, and larger cases, respectively. No 30 packs of MGD here, just the finest the world has to offer. If you're a local beer snob, or just a person who likes a sip of Abbey every now and again, this is the place to go. Massive star reduction for the employees' dirty looks every time we buy only beer here. Sorry, we live across the river dude, and I don't need any organic bananas right now, treat me with a little respect, please. Happens every time. Maybe after the arch bridge opens back up we'll come out here more often, but the people that work here make me not want to make the effort to stoke the coals over the freeway bridge.

Yum!! Love the fresh grill bowls and the pizza and the cafe. If you're looking for a quick lunch, this is a great stop. Short to no lines and friendly, helpful staff! Try the small bits in the specialty cheese department sometime... I crumbled the lemon rosemary chicken ($1.85) into my salad bar salad with red tomatoes, Parmesan, carrots and peas, and drizzled on a little oil and vinegar yesterday.., mmmmm!

I won a Tshirt here for guessing the weight of a big ol' wheel of cheese. They have a serious cheese selection! This is your upscale market (IMO), so expect high quality, and pay a little more for it. Especially good: Bakery

I called today to protest that checker was wearing only a face shield. He touches everyone's food. Management was very flip about my concerns and said they were in touch with CDC about it. I can't support this store if they won't protect my health. Very disappointing

While shopping there in late December, there were several shoppers without masks who were allowed to stay unmasked all the way throughout the store, while in the checkout line all the way to cashier and bagging. A number of the cashiers wear only plastic faceshields, no masks and and told customers that they will not wear masks. The management has stated that they are aware and so far seem to be ok with this. I will not shop there anymore. What a shame, it's otherwise a market that I frequent. Shame on MoC

Like to shop here... deli has massive choices...but came here mostly for coffee. About a year ago they switched from Stumptown to some nasty watery blend... and the baristas have gone way down hill since the manager switch. Sad day since we go by there almost every morning :(

What a great store! Great butcher. Great bakery. Expensive and refined and obscure items, balanced with common name brands. The BEST is their floral department. They have made some truly memorable arrangements for our important events.

How can this business not require masks? I've shopped here for 15 years along with my entire family. I will never shop here again even after COVID. Do better!

I would leave a 0 rating if I could. I have shopped at Market of Choice since they opened. I went in today and had to shop with a fellow shopper who refused to wear a mask. Management says they cannot require the individual to do so . Not only will I and my entire extended family who lives in West Linn never shop there again, I will make it my mission to stop as many people as I can. Market of choice values money more than our safety!

I am very disappointed with the customer service and the excessive use of plastic. You can do much better Market of Choice!
