We visited for lunch recently, having read the great reviews. The market is split level. Upstairs are the food stalls and comfy cubicle & large table seating. Downstairs was like a party basement / sports bar with lots of tables but a hollow, dirty atmosphere. Clearly just used as an overflow/ storage space/ way to the toilets ! Everyone, was sat upstairs and we could see why, but for us, there were no avaliable places to sit, so we had to go down into the basement. We ordered thai. It was pouting with rain outside and we wanted something warming and spicy. We took our electronic tag downstairs and waited for our orders of Pad Thai. The food itself. What can I say. It was a 'lump' of greasy, unflavoured, unspicy mush. 99% noodles. Very little veggies or protein. Awful. Nothing 'thai' about it. Absolutely wont return or recommend.

Market Place It's something quite new recently. A place with different styles of food. Relatively cheaper than eating in proper restaurants. A place with toilet and seating. I think it's similar to Seven Dials that is near the Covert Garden. Unfortunately it's relatively small and it's quite narrow, crowded and hot inside. It's the cost of having cheaper meals I guess? Got famous Bread Ahead bakery too. Can get fully filled doughnuts without going to the Borough Market too.

A small food hall with multicultural fare. Cozy enough for an office lunch/takeway. Drunken Noodles from the Thai place was almost all noodles but really good. Nepali Dumplings were decent, the spicy sauce was good but a bit liquidy to cling to the dumpling.

Great place if you’re looking for a quick meal or a snack, or if you’re looking to hangout with friends and have multiple options. Budget friendly with dishes around or under 10-12 pounds. Lots of variety. We had Argentinian grill, the Duck shed and the Thai dishes. All really really good. The sushi rolls were pretty good too.

Convenient food hall close to St Paul’s. Smaller than some other food halls but decent food and vegetarian options (particularly loved the Greek & pizza)! Very chilled atmosphere midweek - music good but not too loud where you can’t have a conversation. Conveniently located near St Paul’s tube and the cathedral - very affordable option for that area (mains often £12-14). Mix of seats on ground and lower ground floors, including bench, booths, and higher top tables with backed chairs. Clean toilets in the lower ground, though having only one hand dryer for all women is a bit questionable.

While the service was efficient and the staff were friendly, the food (chancers) tasted bland and did not match the price. The chicken tasted unseasoned, as did the fries. The drink selection is fine, however for the price point I’d much rather go to the many other venues within the jewellery quarter that offers decent food and at least an ounce of ambience. For lack of better words, St Paul’s market felt soulless - almost as though someone had switched the big light on. I’m interested to try the other food vendors, however as far as first visits go, St Paul’s Market has been poor and has left me disappointed.

Market Place Food Hall near St Bartholomew’s Hospital offers an impressive mix of global food vendors and a modern, vibrant setting. While the food quality is solid and the variety excellent, the atmosphere can become quite noisy during peak periods. Still, it remains a convenient and enjoyable option for casual dining in the St Paul’s area.
