Coterie Brings All-Day Dining to Downtown’s Market Square Tower | Eater Houston

"Opening this summer in the Market Square Tower high-rise downtown, this new all-day restaurant is a project from coffee entrepreneurs Sean Marshall (of Fusion Beans and Southside Espresso) and developer Charles Lusk; neither has a traditional full-service restaurant background. The 1,500-square-foot space will be furnished with handmade Italian furniture and decor and centers on a walk-in wine room where diners can tour the wine list before ordering. Service will run all day — including breakfast and late-night — and the menu, which is said to change seasonally, has not yet announced a head chef. Given Marshall’s 2012 founding of Southside Espresso on Westheimer, prominent coffee and caffeinated offerings are likely." - Amy McCarthy

i waited until i stayed here at least a year to leave a review! its been almost a year and i have had a stellar experience. i say 'stellar' despite relatively minor nuisances, including the construction. i moved in after much of the storm related damage and it has been ongoing. however, management has been great in providing updates! // maintenance request? timely in being answered and addressed. // parking? assigned and the entry/exit doors and gates work [crazy i have mention that but ive heard thats a big deal] and always feel secure even during the holiday season...we had addl onsite security. // concierge/valet? everyone is pleasant! they are doing a job in an environment of high expectations and appreciate them! // amenities and activities? amenities ive used have always worked without issue! i do wish we could do a "mid" on the steam room though! great activities hosted through the week! // Overall: its great! even my guests say so. ive owned and leased (SFH, multi-family) many places .. i dont HAVE to stay here and love that MST is definitely meeting expectations that i choose to continue to stay!

What a great place to live! Insane amenities and top notch staff. Very dog friendly and a pool to die for. Don’t get me started on the coffee and weekly events 😍

5 stars do not do justice to MST. I would easily give more. It's not lost on me that its easily the best place to live in Houston, even if you are not working in downtown (b/c then you are going against the traffic). They offer free charging for EVs, which is a great life hack. The building offers storage units in the basement. And the amenities and views are out of this world with a sauna and steam room, jacuzzi, a basketball court, table tennis, excellent coffee machines, a movie theatre, multiple pools, a golf simulator etc. The building admin is outstanding - super friendly and understanding and keeps organizing fun stuff throughout the year. Special shout out to Kelly, Sarah, Leo, and Victor! Not to mention the concierge staff who are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Any complaint/repair request is redressed that very day or the next day. I am not sure if there is any room for improvement at MST!

A perfect retreat for couples! The space is bright and modern, featuring a spacious bathroom with a tub. The rooftop boasts an incredible glass pool that's absolutely stunning. It's so captivating, you might just lose track of time there 🤍. @ksyfate

OK, me and the bf have been taking 2-3 apartment tours every weekend trying to find our next spot. He's a pretty low key guy and I could tell that he really didn't care one way or the other UNTIL we toured Market Square Tower. The light has returned to his eyes and I highly highly recommend DeAndre when asking for a tour. It was a 10 out of 10 experience, this is downtown living at its finest!

Lived at MST for over 3 years. The management changed over a few times while I was there. Victor specifically has done a great job turning MST around and making it the best luxury apartment building to live in Houston. I wouldn't live anywhere else. The amenities are insane and the people are the best.

After touring multiple properties in downtown Houston, Market Square Tower (MST) immediately rose to the top of our list—and now that we have lived here for several months, we knew we made the right choice. Everything about this community is a cut above the competition, starting with the amenities. From the iconic rooftop infinity pool to the state-of-the-art gym, private lounges, theater room, golf simulator, and sauna, the building is designed to impress and built for comfort. There’s a real sense of community thanks to the schedule of resident events curated by an on-site team fully dedicated to entertainment and lifestyle. It’s rare to find a place that invests this much in making sure residents connect through various activities including fitness, crafts, movies, game nights and other celebrations. What makes Market Square Tower exceptional is the people. Each staff member, from the concierge desk to the maintenance staff, valet and doormen, greet you with a smile and a level of service that feels genuine and consistent. They take pride in what they do, and the entire team is dedicated to excellence. Our leasing agent, Leonardo, was especially outstanding. He made the entire rental and move-in process seamless and stress-free with a level of professionalism and care that’s hard to come by. From day one, he has always promptly responded to any questions or requests, and that goes for the rest of the staff, who don’t just meet expectations; they each make a point to anticipate needs and exceed them. The units themselves are spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained. Compared to other buildings we toured, MST offered more square footage, better finishes, and stronger value overall. The building is also spotless—truly by far the cleanest property we saw, and that level of attention is constant. Highly, highly recommend!

This is my first year at Market Square Tower and I couldn't be more happy. I traveled to Houston for a week and during that time toured every noteworthy high rise and many mid-rises inside the loop. To me there was no competition, MST is famous for its extensive amenities and yes, the buildings unique placement down down gives it some of the best views in the city; but what is spoken about less is the wonderful community that lives here. Management hosts several events a month, (weekly Champagne & Yoga, fitness boot camps paired with onsite smoothie vendors, pop up surprise breakfasts & lunches and usually at least 1-2 large parties a month) this coupled with the resident only Sky Lounge has really fostered a community that cares about the property. I visited other very nice high rises with very nice amenities, but they all felt like empty hotels, with very little pride of ownership from the residents. That is not the case at MST, the whole place feels like a home. As a new resident to Houston this has really made my transition to the area seamless. Maintenance, Valet, the Concierge, everyone feels like family while still maintaining the appropriate distance and professionalism. I remember once making a joke to the concierge in passing that the'"Skee Ball" machine wasn't lighting up. MST has a full arcade, and it's kept in great shape, I meant the comment as a light hearted joke. The attendant looked with complete seriousness, apologized and had someone onsite making the required repairs immediately. It is with this sense of urgency that even the most trivial request is met with. When I host guests I am never concerned that an amenity will be broken or that I will open a door to an unkept common room, it is a building I am always proud to share with my loved ones. I always feel listened to, and that my concerns as a resident are heard, addressed and taken in a serious manner. The management staff here truly does their best to find a way to answer every request with a "yes" and on the rare occasions where a request cannot be accommodated it is answered with an honest explanation and breakdown of everything they did to try to make it work. I have never been brushed off or left in the dark by the management team here. Finally if you're new to high rise living, my polite advice is this; do not make your decision solely on the building itself but also pay attention to the management team and leasing agent. These are the people you are going to be interfacing with when you have a problem or need a favor and should you find yourself in that situation there is no better team than Leo, Victor, and Kelly. I look forward to calling Market Square Tower home for a very long time.
