Great Places in Spokane to Eat and Drink

"Pizza nerds Aaron and Angel Fiorini contributed a welcome addition to Spokane’s crowded pie landscape when they opened Market Street Pizza a few years ago. With an ethos that is a little New Haven and a little classic Italian-American, this spot has nostalgic neighborhood watering hole vibes. Don’t let the video games and salad bar belie the carefully-crafted pizza, though. Aaron confesses that he has tried over 40 different types of pepperoni, hundreds of ingredient combinations, and myriad cook times in pursuit of the perfect pie. If you manage to shoulder your way to a spot at the crowded bar or score a coveted table, don’t neglect the chicken wings; they’re some of the best in the city." - Kris Kilduff

I ordered the Tomato Pie, most similar to traditional Margherita, and it was delicious! Flavorful crust and sauce. I also odered the Caprese Salad. I thought the dish could use some salt or more balsamic, but great twist on a traditional salad. Service was great!

We stopped for lunch after our kids football game. Got the buffalo wings and a couple of pizzas. Everything tasted great and servers were really friendly.

Google
Honestly love this place! Pizza was so good! There were many selections. Their wings are the best in my opinion (over BWW and Wingstop). It's family friendly and that was what made our first visit the best. Will def be coming back for more.

Google
I'm not thrilled with the Pizza. Way overrated. The Pepperoni doesn't add much, and the sauce is underwhelming. Usually the Pepperoni can help with Bland Sauce. But not in this case. The Crust was more chewy than Crisp. The Saving Grace is the Cheese Curds. Those were Fantastic. Great cheese pull, flavor and texture. I reviewed the Valley one off Broadway a couple yrs back. Thought I'd try again. I will go back for the Cheese Curds and the Service. But there are better Pizza places. I'm sorry if you don't agree.

Hot Mess Express

Google
Delicious food and good prices! Highly recommend. Great place for date night or family night!

Google
Absolutely fantastic! Some of the best dough we have ever had. This hidden gem off of the beaten path is well worth the drive. Had to wait on a Saturday night for a few minutes for a table, but I can now see why. Ordered the Diablo this time and cant wait to try some of the other specialties. We will be back every time we come to Spokane.

Google
We visited from Phoenix and LOVED this restaurant! The meatballs and sauce appetizer was one of the best I've ever had! And the pizza might be the best we've ever had, too! Super great vibe, amazing service, awesome beer and drinks list, and even the simple salad bar was delicious. Lots of sports on TV, fun game room with big tables for parties. The only issue for me was sitting at the high top. I wish they had more regular low tables. Still can't wait to go back!

Google
Have been here a few times before, and was excited to try more of the menu tonight. We got the fry bread, fried pickles, and a valley girl pizza. The fry bread didn't have too much of a garlic flavor, but was so cheesy and the bread itself has a wonderful lightness. The pickles were a little too salty, but had a good balance of pickle to breading. And the pizza was a perfect balance of savory, cheesy, and great use of the hot honey. We were greeted warmly at the door, seated immediately, had great service, and the restaurant is setup nicely. Everything was amazing, will definitely be back.

Yelp
Food came out hot and ready. Got wings that smacked Service was friendly and quick. Beer was ice cold. Pizza was delicious.

Yelp
First time there. Very impressive customer service from Jayden and others as well will definitely be back for the great Pizza!!! Kids loved the game room!!!

Yelp
This is really a fantastic pizza spot in our town. I'm updating the review to also mention that they do deep dish and Detroit style pizzas on Mondays only. I can't speak of the Detroit style because we always go with the deep dish. It is the closest thing you'll get to Chicago style in the area, and it's outstanding. While all of their pizza seems to be pretty amazing, we'll likely continue our Monday visits so long as they keep making this wonderful pie.

Yelp
I consider myself a self proclaimed pickle connoisseur..... the fries pickles here are 10/10 with the horseradish ranch dipping sauce. so imagine my shock and disappointment when I order my favorite fried pickles and plain ranch. umm excuse me?! The whole audacity! unacceptable. I need this devious dill delema dealt with damnit!

Yelp
The Lou Lou! best bartender and staff (Anastasia was our server) in Eastern WA, foods incredible and great atmosphere. Cool place (Sorry this is so short, but I just don't know what else to say)

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Nice server, pizza (some good, some ok). We ordered 3 large pizzas, first one comes to the table, we wait 10 minutes we get the next pizza, 20 minutes next pizza shows up. So 30 minutes between first and last pizza. Pizzas were large, $38 a piece. We received $8 off for the "late 3rd pizza"....doubtful we will be back.

Rik A.

Yelp
Great pizza but the service is soooooo slow. They need to staff it better. I can understand that they didn't have it all figured out when they first opened, but they have been open for a while and their service has not improved. Everyone who works there is nice, but you cannot get anything in a timely fashion. I ordered french fries the other day and had to ask three different people for ketchup, before just going and getting myself a cup of ranch off the salad bar... If you know, you are going to be busy on a Friday night, staff it accordingly. But, again, the food is delicious.

Yelp
We had Jaiden as our server and she was so friendly! She really made us feel right at home. The pizza was so delicious. We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
Another wonderful meal at Market Street Pizza . We ordered the Supeme and Margaritas pizza's . Both were outstanding , excellent service is the norm at this establishment .
google avatar

Jaide W.

Yelp
Yummy pizza and delicious cheesy bread. It's so nice that High Voltage Ice Cream is located inside so you can enjoy a scoop of ice cream while you wait for your pizza take out to finish. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Have been hearing a buzz for a while now about how good the pizza is @marketstreetpizzaspokane and I can tell you it's the truth...and it's not just from the hot honey that is drizzled on a few of the pies. So glad we made it to their Spokane Valley location to delight our tastebuds! Casual atmosphere that has the charm of an old school pizza parlor. Some of the absolute BEST customer service we've experienced. Your hearts and stomachs will not be disappointed. In order of appearance: . -Meatballs- Three House Meatballs made with Beef and Pork/Tomato Sauce/Parmigiano/Fresh Basil/Served with Italian Bread. -Fried dill pickles- Deep Fried Pickles/ served with Ranch. -Boom boom wings- Creamy Chili Sauce/Sesame Seed/ Sriracha/Cilantro/Green Onion. . Pizzas -Valley girl- Tomato Sauce/Aged Mozzarella/ Pepperoni/Garlic/ Topped with Burrata/ Fresh Basil/Hot Honey/ Parmigiano. -Carnivore- Tomato Sauce / Aged Mozzarella/ Pepperoni/Ham/ Italian Sausage/ Smoked Bacon/ Salami. -Spicy Italian- Tomato Sauce/Aged Mozzarella/ Fresh Mozzarala/ Pepperoni/Salami/ Italian Sausage/Red Onion/Banana Pepper/Garlic/ Chili Flake/Basil/ Parmigiano. ........ Yelp
The original location on market is better. The valley is unfortunately got a lot of issues. We went last Thursday and our group was treated very poorly by a blonde server who was focused on her closing work. Our order was messed up, which is fine because mistakes happen, it was her attitude about it and continuing to be rude to us instead of just saying "sorry about that". We wish they had kids nuggets, PB and J, plain bread sticks and/or a kids salad bar. Half of the kids in our group don't eat pizza but everyone loves going for the kids game area. Hard to imagine there is not a kids menu or anything like that. Unfortunately due to the repeated messed up/burnt orders and lack of variety for the kiddos, we probably won't be back to the location if we have kids in tow which is quite often.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and vibe. Plenty of seating and the atmosphere is casual. Tons of games for kiddos and adults. Live music later at night . Prices aren't quite batshit insane, but they're probably batshit crazy, or at least batshit after getting cut off in heavy traffic. I mean... It's pizza. FML people! This shit should not be $4 a slice. Beer is a decent value so you can afford to drink enough to forget how bad you're being bent over on the pizza and appetizer prices. Fried pickles were plentiful but ultimately nasty and incredibly salty. And I love me some salt so this was extraordinarily bad. Pizza was also incredibly salty and greasy. I know people rave about it but I don't get it. It was so salty and oily I could hardly discern individual elements and overall it came off something like Dominoes thin crust pizza. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and layout, and the games were really fun. I'd probably go back to give the pizza another try based on their reputation, I could have just hit them on a bad night or had my palate first destroyed by those godawful fried pickles.

Laurie C.

Yelp
Good service with great food. Pizza is good, as well as the wings. Games for the kids, nice private bar.
google avatar

Conni M.

Yelp
Attended a birthday party here and once again it felt like our business wasn't appreciated. 18 adults, 8 kids (playing games), 9 large pizzas ordered, lots of beverages and 6 salad bars. Salad bar is all you can eat or one trip through. The server seemed very capable of handling our group... until she noticed someone giving her boyfriend a bite to try from her salad. The server reprimanded her and told her the charge was now going to be for 2 salad bars since she wasn't the only one eating her salad. After what was spent by everyone, it was outrageous.

Stacie J.

Yelp
Delicious - loved the Valley Girl pizza with pepperoni, burrata, and hot honey. We also had the Hot Honolulu- bacon, Canadian bacon, olives, onions, and hot honey. Highly recommend
google avatar

Cand H.

Yelp
The food isn't the best, the service is awful although the ambiance is probably only the best part. I wouldn't recommend this place because their customer service is trash.
google avatar

Carlie L.

Yelp
Let me just start by saying their Italian Garlic Fry Bread is one of my favorite food items in all of Spokane. It's a fried dough base so it's crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and fluffy in the inside, then covered with melty cheese, garlic, and fresh herbs. Can't go here without getting it. The pizza is delicious, too, with many options to choose from. Whatever you get, make sure to add a hot honey drizzle on top! They've recently started offering deep dish pizzas on Mondays, and we really enjoy that as well. They were kind enough to make half vegetarian and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the meat stayed on one side. Overall, Market Street remains one of my favorite pizza spots.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Great service! The pizza is amazing and I'm so glad to have an old school pizza parlor back like I grew up with!

Rockman Al

Yelp
First class service and pizza! Hot Honolulu pizza is my favorite. It's a Hawaiian with black olives, bacon, hot honey, and jalapeños

Yelp
This is a neat little spot right above the city. Everyone is friendly, lots of seating, good choice of beers and food. I left a little disappointed because they do deep dish once a week for their pizza and it happened to not be my day! My flight home was delayed and I had to make sure I get to try this place before I leave! My waitress was awesome! I got the cowboy wings which was fantastic! They weren't as spicy as I would like it to be, but had great flavor and they let me get all flats! I got the supremo pizza, now I hate Parmesan and I wish I had known they would sprinkle it on but I ate my pizza anyways. The pizza held up well and still was delicious. I was super satisfied and even took it to go! I actually was able to get another flight home early so it ended well! Glad I was able to come here and check them out! You should get pizza here if your in town and want some delicious!

Jan H.

Yelp
We eat pizza often and i have to say best pizza in town! The pizza was cooked to perfection. Best crust in town. The service was excellent. Waitress friendly, efficient. We loved both the pizzas We ordered. I gave 4 stars only because of the high price $50.00 for 2 12 inch pizzas. It was very busy and the restrauent seemed dark and somewhat dingy. Dont get me wrong it was very clean. We will come back perhaps getting our pizza to go.
google avatar

Gi V.

Yelp
Ordered online I couldn't believe it was $70 for 2 large pizzas. This review is based on the food. The place was big and looked like fun to be able to eat there but unfortunately even my basic pizza was horrible. I had heard good reviews so I'm pretty disappointed I wasted my money on this. Don't know if it was just done poorly because how busy they were but I won't be back. I wouldn't have minded the price if it was good food but not one person in my family liked it.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
We've gotten pizza at Market Street twice. The 1st time, the pizza was perfect. Right amount of ingredients- a perfect pizza. This past weekend, we kids feel like we got cheated out of ingredients- there was barely any cheese and skimpy amount of pepperoni, ham and pineapple. The place was rocking busy, so maybe the cooks were in a hurry and took some short cuts. I don't know, but the pie was certainly not up to standards of $35 spent. Don't know if we'll be back ....

Yelp
Visiting Spokane from portland and we tried market street pizza. Obviously, this place is a local favorite. The parking lot on a Friday evening was packed. Literally! To the point we had to wait for a spot. While waiting for a table, I walked around and noticed this place has something for everyone. One side is more of a kids playroom and the other side is a bar. Everyone there is super friendly. We ended up sitting on the bar side. Being visitors, we asked the bartender what his favorite pizza was. He recommended a few, and we took his advice and ordered the wise guy - olive oil, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. It was was super yummy! Perfectly backed and full of toppings. Totally recommend!

Yelp
Amazing deep dish pizza !! I'm from Chicago and am Sicilian so picky. This is the best pizza I've had in years. The wine and beer is excellent. Monday is deep dish pizza night!! Amazing
google avatar

Stephen P.

Yelp
This is one of the best Pizzas I have had in a long time. The stone oven is perfect for pizza and the crust and toppings are first rate. I had the meatball appetizer the first time I went and the cheese curds the second time and both were delicious. I will come here 2 times a month for sure. Very family friendly and customer service is great. I will recommend this place to anyone. Went again and if it could not get any better it just did. Fried pickles are like pickle fries crunchy and delicious. The pizza was if possible even better than before OMG

Bryce A.

Yelp
They get one star because my kid had fun there. A lot of the games were out of order. A lot of the ticket prizes were sold out. Out of the two dollars we spent on tattoos, a whole dollar was stolen. Worst thing was the pizza. Bought a 18" $33 dollar pizza and got crust all the way around it that took up the last 2.5". So I got a 15.5" pizza for $33. Won't be back. If you sell an 18" pizza, put 18" worth of toppings on it.
google avatar

Paige B.

Yelp
The selections of pizza are really great. There's a wide variety of choices that should appeal to most tastes and the food was excellent. The price was comparable to other pizza options places in the area. The atmosphere is a little dated but has a certain charm with some unique retro pieces. Overall, would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I def think these pizzas are a favorite in Spokane for a reason. These monsters are loaded! Seriously. I have eaten in and gotten delivery and it is always amazing and the ingredients, I am telling you are top notch. We love the cheeseburger pizza but my husband is terrible at branching out and I want to! I will soon but the pizzas are so dang big. Not a bad thing at all but man that cheeseburger pizza has the perfect arrangement of all the goodies you would find on a burger! The wings are also seriously outstanding. HUGE potions and a variety of sides to choose from. The building and the space are super cute and funky too. Enjoy!
google avatar

andrew s.

Yelp
Totally awesome place! The guy who was serving us was so attentive and really cool and kept checking back with us and giving recommendations. Really really nice guy. Pizza was awesome! We really feel like we have found our new favorite pizza place. Such varieties of things to choose from and fascinating combinations that almost didn't even sound like they would go together, but they really really did and it was really good. To top it off, they had a three-piece band called El primo who were so awesome and they really set the mood for the place and you feel like you can close your eyes and you were in some European city. Really cool dudes behind the instruments and actually turning some beautiful songs into somewhat comical lyrics about pizza and just fun stuff like that that really made the evening super enjoyable. We have already recommended this place to a few friends.

Melanie S.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Spokane I think. And their cheese curds are super good too, and they have the Zoltar psychic machine like in BIG! (Which I always have to do while I'm there..lol) (I've heard good things about the meatballs there too but haven't tried them yet)
google avatar

Vikki H.

Yelp
Lou Lou pizza !! Service is personable & quick Never had a bad experience or pizza Nice to have a full bar rather than just beer and Wine

Ryan B.

Yelp
Best pizza in town hands down! Would love to see a better online presence and easier mobile ordering and delivery service.
google avatar

Melody B.

Yelp
The pizza is really good here! I have also ordered wings and those were great! The menus is extensive with pre selected pizzas or make your own. The pizza dough is made in house and they use real cheese! Great service, fun and lively atmosphere. I have eaten at the location in Market in Hilliard , but there is also a newer location in the valley

Konni D.

Yelp
Great food so very crowded -games for big and little kids! Ice cream in valley-pricey but...
google avatar

Natasha O.

Yelp
Fun pizzaria atmosphere. Lots of arcade games. The pizza was a 5 out of 5. So delicious! The carnivore was the fav out of the three pizzas we ordered. Dark beer on tap. My go to. The backwoods brewings pecan porter. So good and smooth! Our service wasn't the best, but still worth coming back based on everything else.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Still very deserving of 5 stars... Today we placed a pick up order thinking they were still on a limited menu... However when I arrived I was surprised they are open for indoor dinning and back to a normal menu. We are trying every pizza on the menu as they are all so good. Tonight we tried the carnivore and hot both so very good.... So far our top two picks are the Wise Guy and The Taco Pizza (used to be a Tuesday special).

Bobbi W.

Yelp
Went to Market Street Pizza last weekend and it was delicious! I personally feel like the Popper Pie is probably my new "go-to" pizza with its jalapeños, hot honey driz, cream cheese and bacon. How could you go wrong. The crust was also well cooked and crisp. I've seen people complain about the char but we had zero char (which is my preference) but definitely for the nice crisp, golden brown edges. My kids for a cheese pizza (yeahhh, they basic) but it was so ooey-gooey that I snuck a bite. The size of the slices were big and added to their excitement. My hubby and two kids got wings and I was worried it wouldn't be enough for them. But each order came with plenty of wings to be a meal. My youngest got his wings plain (again...basic) but my older kid had the Buffalo wing and my hubby had the barbecue. They were all about it and loved them. And to round out the meal, we got the mozz sticks which were definitely elevated. They were big compared to other places and the cheese pull was epic. The vibe here is good and my family had a great experience. Just be warned that on a Saturday around lunch time the arcade was packed.

Robert M.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Spokane! Great service, awesome bar and atmosphere. Good salad bar. Meatball appetizer is amazing!
google avatar

Beth R.

Yelp
Both the Hillyard and Valley locations are awesome. Only pizza I will eat and my favorite is the Lou Lou.
google avatar

Lou L.

Yelp
Best pizza in Spokane. I've tried pretty much everywhere and this is the place. Totally legit pies. Great crust. Delicious sauce and cheese. As soon as you walk in just smell the goodness. You feel Like you're in NYC. Well Done.

Lindzay P.

Yelp
Their pizza is absolutely out of this world. The combination of ideas of new toppings choices are epic and satisfy the hunger and tastebuds. The staff always greets you with smiles and amazing service. The atmosphere is arcade family fun, meats, cool pizzeria it's a good place for family or business associates or just friends there trying to get together to meet and greet. a cool place to sit back and enjoy everything it has to offer an amazing great food.

Christopher J.

Yelp
Great wings the boneless are the best around! The Pizza every one thought was good I tried a slice it was good but the boneless wings were great!
google avatar

Tabatha J.

Yelp
First time here and we loved it! We ordered the Garlic Parmesan Italian Fry Bread and the Hot (bone in) Buffalo wings and there Hot Honolulu pizza and it was all so amazing!! The place was busy and they were under staffed but everything seemed to run smoothly and came out very timely. Our server (didn't catch his name) was awesome! We will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
Market Street is our go-to neighborhood pizza spot! They make everything in house from the sauce, to the dough, to the cheese! Along with the intentionality of quality, local ingredients, you get a comfortable laid back vibe where you can bring your family. They have a big kids area with arcade games, separate from the primary restaurant and bar. My only critique is the salad bar. I order it from time to time but tend to be disappointed by brown lettuce or lack of variety in the toppings. Service is always personable and friendly. We are lucky to live nearby by and get to eat here every week or so.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Service was mediocre and the ambiance was very loud. Definitely not the place to bring your elderly parents... not equipped to push walkers or wheelchairs through. If you're looking to bring the children for some electronics and sharing a night with friends, this place is it!

Rick F.

Yelp
Great pizza and great service. 2nd location in the valley is just as great as the original location.

Jeanne I.

Yelp
Market Street Pizza NEVER disappoints. Last night we had a big group for my daughters 18th birthday. My daughter and 10 of her friends all sat around the huge round table that seat 12--- perfect. Then adults at the the tables surrounding. Our Server Jayden was the best. The best service, friendly, attentive, accomodating. She is a gem. This is the perfect place for a large group. But the FOOD!!!!! the best pizza in town for sure. We had the Tomato Pie "OG Classic East Coast Italian Pie" and it is the best pizza I have ever had. Seriously! The sauce is amazing. Most of the adults in our group also had Wings.... The dry rub wings are fantastic. I heard 3-4 times during the evening from the group that these are the best wings ever! Highly recommend Market Street pizza for a great dinner with the family- or for large groups.
