Tony met with Chef Marco Pierre for deep fried haddock, mushy peas, and a chip butty.

We were lucky both times as there was hardly any queue but the place is very busy! Service is quick, and the fish is so good! Pea fritters also something that we tried and liked, mushy peas were brilliant and the local lager was also good. We were not impressed by the crab cakes, but that’s just a matter of preference…

You know it has to be good, if the police eat here! Pleasant and friendly service. A bit pricier than some fish and chips places but Large portions and worth the price. Recommend the scampi and chips. You can add gravy or curry sauce.

Really very good foah and chips. Actually incredibly impressed. The fish was moist and flavourful. The batter was thin, crunchy and tasty. Chips are done perfectly. The Hallumi was huge and so stringy and amazing. The pea fritter is odd, its literally just mushy peas covered in breadcrumbs and I definitely wouldn't recommend. Over all this place is a gem and I'd highly recommend.

This is THE fish and chips shop in Weymouth. We highly recommend the curry sauce, as it may be the best we've ever had. The portions are generous and staff are friendly.

Outstanding portion of fish and chips in the heart of the town. Staffs are super friendly. Tables are limited but take out is an option. They also have various kids options. They serve a lot more then fish and chips.

Best fish I've had, hands down! And those chips 😍. Myself and my fiance were in Weymouth for the day while down visiting family in Bournemouth, from Scotland! Will be popping in again the next time we visit!

Yelp
The queue that forms shortly after opening on any given day should give you an idea of what to expect here: the best fish and chips in Weymouth...and maybe even Dorset and would likely give any chippie in the UK a run for its money. I was in Weymouth for my sister's wedding this past summer and she scheduled one meal at the Marlboro. I ate there 3 times over the course of 4 days. I tried to lose some weight to look good for the wedding; this place definitely didn't help that cause. For about £10 pounds, you get a reasonably sized filet(s) and a whole heap of chips. The batter is crisp, light, and perfectly seasoned. The pineapple fritters are an awesome dessert - kind of like a fried Oreo us muricans love with only half the guilt/remorse afterward. The chips are ok - again, mostly because I've been conditioned to want my fried potatoes to be crispy. I prefer the chips w/ the curry sauce poured over top. YUM! Of the types of fish I tried, I'd put cod - mackerel - haddock in order of preference. Salt and vinegar are available, but all other sauces are charged a nominal fee. You can eat in or takeaway - the eat in area is a bit congested, so may not be very comfortable if you have young children. The queue is formidable but it moves along rather quickly. Sitting by the Old Harbour bridge, eating fish and chips and drinking a Shandy Bass...lovely way to spend an afternoon--or three--in Weymouth.

Yelp
When we arrived in Weymouth we asked a local on the street where the best place to get fish and chips was. She directed to this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. It was full of people that were obviously locals. The fish was fresh and the lager cold. Would highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Great fish and chips and very friendly, prompt service make this place stand-out. But it shouldn't because good food and good service are something all restaurants should have a grasp on - they're pretty much the basics of the service industry - but it's probably not escaped your notice that most restaurants are crap. This place is not crap.
