Marlou wine bar & store

I had a lovely time at Malu Wine Bar in Budapest. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and they offered a fantastic selection of natural wines. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a wonderful experience! I came at 4:30 pm on a Thursday and it was empty so I had the place to myself. It’s a beautiful, and decently large space. Perfect atmosphere for a date night too. I tried two wines- the juhfark and the prosecco 2022. Both were delicious and dry. As for food I had the small trout with fennel (from the daily board) and it was so fresh and delicate. I had the red lentil hummus which was probably the best hummus I’ve ever had! Lastly, I had the Camembert with honey. I’d highly recommend all 3 “snacks” but the cheese only if you’re sharing, or if you really love cheese as it’s a decent portion and very rich. Will be back! 🍷

This place is a beautiful wine cellar. The host was amazing in recommending wines and let us try a few before deciding which to get. The atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are good priced.

tasty wines, a bit less extrovert waiter/owner, okay dishes missing some extra. otherwise a lovely place with lovely atmosphere. very well curated furniture, cutlery and everything. the playlist was really good. recommend visiting it, if you’re up for natural wines

Found this around the corner from our hotel and have to say: lovely place and very pleasant service. Exceptionally good natural wines as well. Liked it so much that we made a reservation for our second night in the city. Cheers!

Un bar à vin comme je les aime. Une ambiance tranquille, une équipe serviable, un patron convivial, des plats délicieux et simples et surtout une belle sélection hebdomadaire de vins. Je recommande —— A fine weekly selection of wine. If you look for a a nice atmosphere for wine tasting, it is here. You will have the occasion to also taste delicious plates, and experience nice discussion with the owner. I recommend if you are alone, a couple or a small group. A french owner who displays mostly great hungarian wine but not only ;) Enjoy it!

Natural wines for fair prices. The owner is a little hard to crack, but helps you if you have some questions. The wines we tried ranged from good to spectacular – the bábel red was incredible. Atmosphere is nice, even though it was a little cold.
