Marlowe's Ribs & Restaurant

Marlowe's is a real Memphis gem. Food was really good and reasonably priced. Loved the fried pickles, fried okra, loaded pulled pork nachos and brisket sandwich. We had the pink limo pick us up from the Guest house at Graceland and our driver had a great personality that made the trip a lot of fun.

Fun place down the road from Graceland. We had a lot of food for the 4 of us, total $132 including tax and tip. Lisa was a terrific server. Not the best bbq I’ve had but decent. Sides were tasty. The live performers were a little loud though, don’t make it so difficult to have a conversation please. That was bothersome.

What better way to end the evening after a whole day Graceland ? Its to come to Marlowe’s !!! Food was really good if not great. We decided to order a bunch of smaller plates to share among 4 of us. The dry rubbed smoked ribs were smoky, soft and tender and off the bone easily. Beef brisket and the bbq chicken was okay, not remarkable. Love all the sides that you can choose that comes with the order like fried okra, coleslaw, baked beans and cheese macaroni. And for dessert ?! The heart triple bypass Crispy Creme Banana Foster Sundae is a must have !!! The restaurant also has an Elvis gift shop. You may find something special here that Graceland desnt have like the collectible Elvis figurines in different outfits.

Better than going to Graceland. Especially when it comes to the food. Their specialty is Ribs and seriously they were cooked yesterday. At least they put them in the smoker yesterday for them to be ready by 4 pm today when they open. (Don’t come here for lunch). Should fed were pretty good and the banana donut ice cream peanut butter whipped cream concoction for desert is a heart attack in itself. Plan on sharing that with a friend. And what other restaurant in Memphis has their own pink limousines? Worth parking at a nearby hotel just for the free limo ride. Great service by Hallie tonight. Enjoy.

The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was worthy of a visit in itself. Highly recommend.

Fall off the bone ribs and one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. Will return.

The ribs were outstanding!! They were, Fall off the bone tender and moist. The pulled pork was very good also. The corn fritters were excellent as well. Although I don't eat them, the party I was with said the sautéed mushrooms were some of the best they had ever eaten. Our server, Lisa, was wonderful. I highly recommend Marlowe's!

Google said they closed at 10(Kitchen closes at 9) and we walked in after 9pm and we’re told the kitchen was closed. She either saw the disappointment or the hunter on our faces and said she’d bring us some BBQ and told us what the still had available. Came out to check on us after bringing us the most amazing ribs and sides! The cook had also came out to see how we liked it. TOP notch BBQ with lots of ELVIS memorabilia. Recommend!!

This is a must stop in Memphis,Tennessee! BBQ was great staff was amazing. The Pink Limo ride was the icing on the cake. The driver was hilarious and fun! Al-Texas

The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the BBQ sauce had a nice tang. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The fries arrived soggy and barely warm, and the green beans were bland to the point of tasting like nothing at all. Service was cold and disengaged. After I signed my receipt, the server snatched the receipts and what was left of my drink without a word. The only acknowledgment I got was a flat "have a good day" as I was walking out. Bottom line: you're paying for the tourist attraction, not the food or hospitality.

Date Night a day early! This was my first time ordering the Elvis Burger--medium, crisp bacon, smoked ham, and American cheese top burger! The burger was omg, rightly seasoned! It was fit for a King! We ordered his usual Half Rack wet and spicy! Per my husband, the drinks are always strong (I agree), which is a good thing! We even ordered dessert tonight, severed in an Elvis souvenir mug! Loved it, but wasted my morning workout! Our server is always energetic and reasy to chat!!

This place is very lively, food is amazing and the service is good. Definitely recommend.

The service was great and the portions are huge. I saw one couple sharing a meal and you could definitely do that. The chicken tenders are hand breaded. You get 3 tenders and fries for $14. My teenagers couldn't finish them. The ribeye dinner was perfectly cooked and delicious. We sat in the Elvis room, which had Elvis everywhere. They also have a gift shop.

We found this restaurant on Yelp while leaving Graceland. We both had the brisket with two sides. He had baked beans and mac and cheese and I had spaghetti and coleslaw. All was very good and if we're ever back in Memphis we'll go again! The service was also very good and they were very friendly. They had a lot of Elvis memorabilia to look at, which was appropriate since we had just left Graceland.

The spirit of Elvis is alive and well at Marlowe's, especially when you get front door service from their pink stretch limo. Rides are free from several nearby hotels. So fun. I had the pulled pork entree and left with a meat coma. So much food! Pork was tender and sauce was tasty. It came with baked beans and slaw which were also good. Wish I wouldn't have been traveling because I could have had leftovers for two sandwiches. So much food. We checked out the memorabilia around the place and there is a lot of it. Service was good. Fun stop.

We came, we saw, we ate! I couldn't think of a better eating experience when recalling my visit to Memphis, TN. The hotel provided the information and it was VIP from there. We were picked up at our hotel by a pink Cadillac (I am really not sure of the make /model) but we were picked up for FREE (I did remove a star for the driver - they need to reconsider the driver). What a great marketing tool!! While waiting for our table (short wait) - we shopped at the giftshop and although we had visited a ton of giftshops, they had unique items. The menu was extensive and we tried a little bit of everything (even Elvis' favorite - Fried peanut butter and banana sandwich). How was it - you ask???????????????? I didn't like it and I think given a different brand of peanut butter - maybe! MAYBE.... The corn fritters were my fave and someone ordered a steak - it was huge! money well spent... The restaurant also had a Elvis impersonator. How fun! Also, great marketing too....give the marketing team a raise. Great experience. High Five to the wait staff, as well....they were very accomodating.

If you like barbecue RUN AWAY FROM HERE. There are so many good bbq spots in Memphis and this is NOT one of them. I believe people come here for the entertainment because it's definitely NOT the food!

The food and service here is remarkable. From the moment we sat down we were taken care of and the waitress tended to our needs without having to flag her down. Which in itself in today's world means a lot. The ribs were some of the best I've tasted in Memphis.

What a great BBQ spot with fun atmosphere. Our server, Elisa, recommended ribs and brisket. I was skeptical of good brisket this far away from TX, but Elisa was right... and she is an excellent server. The brisket had a great smoke ring and better smoke flavor with just the right pull to it. Probably the best brisket north of the TX state line. AND THEN there's the ribs. Perfect pull from the bone and perfect chew. We ordered sauce on the side. The sauce is good but the meat is better. Also, lots of good side options. We ordered coleslaw and green beans; we would definitely order both sides again.

Great service and atmosphere. She liked her BBQ sandwich and the okra was good! My macncheese was alright and the brisket was a little dry for my liking. There was not a crowd so we got a table pretty quick and the food came out really fast! I would recommend

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Called to have the pink limo pick my party of 4 up at the guesthouse hotel , the limo driver played his part! He took multiple pictures infront of limo , talked and made us laugh there & back! Great limo ride. The food at the restaurant was pretty darn good. I had the ribeye, baked potatoe, corn fritters , just added a touch more salt& pepper but it was tender , the others had the grilled chicken salad and it was huge & chicken so good!! Apple pie & banana pudding were great as well. Lots of Elvis memorabilia ! Must visit when in Memphis.

This was recommended by our hotel. We had a free pink Cadillac limo drive. Food and service was great. We had spaghetti and bbq. Great service. The 3rd generation owner came out to us to give us our gift card we ordered, and was so impressed. Decor, Service and food all amazing! Go to place is you are in town.

This place was honestly so so cool. They had so many things and pictures dedicated to Elvis Presley and the food there was absolutely delicious. The service there was great and the gift shop had many Elvis things for you to buy. I'd definitely go try it again.

The food was outstanding, the service was very professional, they made me and my family feel right at home. We love the ambience with all things Elvis throughout the restaurant. We were picked up in a pink Cadillac from the Guest House. The gift store has a lady by the name of Donna who works there, Donna is so sweet and kind. She is the picture of southern hospitality. We purchased a few of her books that she authored and she very kindly personalized the books with her autograph for my daughter. I can't speak enough about Marlow's restaurant. We are planning another trip to Graceland in the future, and that trip will include another night at Marlowe's.

Came here on a recommendation from our hotel while we're staying nearby. The pictures we saw online don't do it justice. Amazing brisket that was smoked for +16hrs just fell apart when you went to cut it apart, no knife needed! Only $20 for everything so you can have great tasting bbq without breaking the bank. Server was attentive and gave great recommendations. The Elvis theme inside was tastefully done. We visited the gift store after we were done which I'd also recommend.

We've heard about this BBQ place and my son had seen it on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins And Dives. The BBQ pork dinner was fantastic. Excellent bark, very good BBQ sauce and generous portions My youngest - who is in that stage of eating cheeseburgers, plain, without any condiments, was eating a pulled pork sandwich with the sauce and declared it good The Elvis burger was also a hit.

Last night was not my first time at Marlowe's (or even my first review), but they're so good I just gotta say it again. We stayed at The Guesthouse at Graceland & one of the perks is that Marlowe's famous pink limo will stop by and pick you up, so you arrive at Marlowe's "in style". Of course, the limo is not in the best condition but who cares? To me, it just adds to the effect. Plus, the driver is hilarious and entertaining and will even take your picture in front of the limo, which is a must. Then you walk into Marlowe's and it's just so fantastically decorated with Elvis pictures and memorabilia. Elvis Radio (Sirius XM) plays overhead and they had the new Elvis movie on the tv. Oh and of course, the food is off the charts. They're known for their BBQ Spaghetti, which I got last time I was there. This time I tried the Blue Suede Burger and swapped out fries for fried okra. Burger was cooked at a beautiful, perfect "medium well" : no pink and very juicy. My husband ordered the BBQ Brisket plate with mac n cheese and fries and was so pleased with it, he bought a Marlowe's t-shirt in their gift shop! Yes, it's probably a tourist place, with its Elvis memorabilia and close proximity to Graceland. But it's been owned by the same Italian family since the early 70s and they just do a fantastic job, so they'll have my business every time I visit Graceland, which seems to be an annual event. As I told my husband when we left, "Marlowe's makes me happy. The atmosphere. The food. Everything. It just makes me happy."

Food was great, Service was fabulous (they picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel in a Pink Cadillac limousine!) Ambience was great! Would definitely recommend!

Food was very tasty, good portion size. Lisa our waitress was welcoming, greeted us with a smile, and was friendly. The ambiance was eclectic with Elvis memorabilia throughout. A small store inside also. We were picked up in a pink Cadillac at our hotel, and returned in the same. Driver was great!

Came here after our visit to Graceland. I had the bbq chicken and it was just okay. Moist and the sauce was good but the chicken could have been warmer. Loved the fried okra and the fried pickles. Not busy the night we were there and the server seemed disinterested. Decor is Graceland all over again with Elvis plastered all over.

Stopped here because it's a DDD. The ribs were delicious and fell right off the bones. Got ribs for two along with four sides which were all delicious. There is so much to see inside this restaurant as it's full of Elvis memorabilia and plays Elvis songs. Love the food and atmosphere. Mixed drink was made perfectly.

The ambiance in this place was amazing, Elvis and BBQ paired together. The food was great the Bbq pork on top of the potato was all that! I wanted to have more that bbq pork...I ordered wrong. The grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich was delicious. The service was on point, my waitress was quick with the sweet tea refills, and I didn't wait long for my meal to come to the table.

We stayed at The Guest House at Graceland and our shuttle driver mentioned that Marlowe's has a pink limo that will pick us up and take us to the restaurant as it is not a walking distance from Graceland. We grabbed the ride and it was easy. Great menu and Southern, Mississippi River vibe. My wife got the chicken tenders and I got the ribs half order. Very good and fun atmosphere. Has full service bar and drink specials. Not a chain. A lot of Elvis memorabilia. Had to wait a bit for the ride back to hotel.

It pains me to write this but I am also very pissed. I have been going to Marlowes for at least 16yrs now. And my last 2 times were AWFUL. But what takes the cake is my husband and myself went in and seated ourselves NEVER TOLD WE COULDNT DO SO. But last night we went in and the manager was so rude and loud about us seating ourvselves, in front of a full restaurant ,we walked out needless to say WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!!!! Marlowes has lost a 2 faithful customers.

Directions: Easy access off Bus Hwy 51 (Presley Blvd) on the corner of Presley and Mosby Rd. see map in photos. Plenty of parking and several Handicap spots in front. This is a popular place and busy so plan accordingly! There is also bar service. We (6 adults) arrived from the airport around 6pm and were seated right away. It is a very nostalgic place with Elvis collections all over and even an Elvis movie playing on the tv! Ask to be served by "V" which I think is fitting to call her "Vivacious", as you can also read from other customers! Very comfortable seating with both chairs and booths available. Are server "V" greeted us very quickly with a big authentic smile and took our drink orders. Being the only server we saw on our side of the restaurant, she was fantastic though-out our entire time there. All our orders were promptly delivered, heated and fresh! We had the sausage and cheese platter which had a large portion of both cheese and very flavorful sausage! We also had the fried gouda which did not last long being soooo goodah! The fried pickles were perfectly cooked and not greasy! My wife and I had the ribs for 2 which was perfect! The loin ribs were incredibly tender with the meat falling off the bone and seasoned perfectly with flavorful rub and smoking! The green and baked bean sides were delicious! With the generous portion of rib meat we had enough for the next day to make a rib sandwich! A very nice experience for all of us and when leaving, there was a party of four girls having a drink party next us and they were having a blast respectfully! The bathroom was very clean and sanitary! I can't say enough good about "V's" service! We highly recommend Marlowe's! Great job management!

Unfortunately, I will have to give it a 1 star due to the fact that we arrived 15 minutes before closing and said the kitchen was closed. I was with my kid and wife, all starving. Bar was full of patrons.

The food is great but the people are even better!! This is a family run joint and you can feel and taste the love!

Our group was seated very quickly. Great service. Great food. I had the burger with pulled pork and white cheese sauce. Fantastic and absolutely would order again. The restaurant is right down the road from Graceland, so it is Elvis themed. It's not why we went there, but it's not tacky. Just Elvis themed.

Simple menu executed well. If you seek a delicious & tender bbq rib dinner. Stop! You GOT IT! We ordered the appetizer plate of fried chicken tenders, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes & corn fritters with 3 sauces (ranch, chipotle & honey mustard). I enjoyed this a lot & the chicken was fried crisply & not greasy at all! I TRULY enjoyed the ribs as they were juicy & flavorful. My wife enjoyed the smoked chicken so much. I agreed with my one bite taste too. The brownie sundae we shared was just wonderful! A HUGE factor of our appreciation & BEST part of our visit to Marlowe's was our server..."V". She was such a genuine force of positivity & humor...and honest advice specific to the menu. She made our visit extra special. Go without hesitation.

Marlowe's is my favorite restaurant in the entire world, bar none. I've told people from Denmark to Germany to Italy to my hometown about the wonders of Marlowe's, and I get teary-eyed thinking about this restaurant often. Where to begin? The service and staff treat you like family, the ambiance and Elvis memorabilia make you feel like you're in an extension of Graceland, and the food - dear god, the FOOD! I've tried maybe 1/3 of the entire menu, and I have yet to have a meal that isn't the best version of whatever it is I'm eating. Ribs, pulled pork, you name it, Marlowe's does it better than anyone. The last time I was there, the owner talked with my dad and I extensively and even sent me home with a bottle of BBQ sauce on the house. This is my favorite restaurant ever, and I feel truly blessed to have discovered this slice of heaven on earth.

Ok maybe we went on a bad night.... I see so many four star reviews and I just don't get it... Maybe it's because we didn't do the ribs and ribs are in the name of the restaurant, but one would think barbecue in Memphis... Hostess was great. She greeted us, and she was very friendly. Our waitress was freaking awesome. But the taste of the food was terrible. We each had pulled pork, and there were three of us in our party. The pork was completely bland and I soaked it with barbecue sauce to tolerate it. My two kids had mac & cheese. It looked delicious, but again, very bland. I ordered a side of okra. Come on, frozen okra.... Then the banana pudding - yes followed the bland train. Will not be back....

Great food and excellent service. The ambiance in the joint was a great vibe. Nice little gift shop had awesome Memphis memorabilia. My family all got different meals and nobody was disappointed!!!!

Arrived and was immediately seated. Very friendly staff. Our food took a while because our waitress lost our ticket. Started with the fried Gouda was good. The food was good and not overly sauced with BBQ. Corn fritters were served warm and sweet. The best thing on the menu was the chocolate cake. It was served warm and it was moist and delicious. They also have a cute little Elvis shop that is connected to the front dining room.

Huge portions and great flavors! Tender ribs and brisket! Very attentive service and a fun limo ride! Limo driver is paid through tips - full of history and a little comedic to boot! The restaurant is filled with Elvis memorabilia throughout and has a gift shop with plenty to choose from!

I did not eat any of the tough white meat. Manager lies also. Customer satisfaction is most important and your manager was not interested in satisfying his customer has a chip on his shoulder

Saw this on TripAdvisor and yelp as a good bbq spot, so thought we'd give it a try. Very underwhelming experience... They are supposed to be known for their ribs. We ordered the rib and brisket combo plate. The ribs were very dry, but the brisket was superb. The portion was super small - we paid $39 for the plate in the photo. It wasn't bad, but wasn't notable either. Probably just a tourist trap especially with these prices. You could likely find a more authentic bbq experience.

A fun food place close to Graceland. Lots of memorabilia and a gift shop. Take the pink Cadillac limo if you can. Mr. Choulders is the nicest driver. After piggin' out on everything on the menu, make sure to leave room for the "stupid good" bananas foster dessert. Yum!!!
