In order: Crème brûlée: The 10/10 Panini with fries: 8/10 Salmon with couscous: 7.5/10 ( the first bites were delicious. The buttery couscous with the cranberry’s kale and salmon were perfect bites. However the more you ate the couscous the butter became a little too much. ) Wings: 9/10 (we really enjoyed the honey mustard wings and they had a nice crispy texture. Crab cake: 8/10: the salad under it was very salty but eaten with the crab cake was a nice bite. Overall this was a great experience. We had a wonderful waitress with a beautiful smile and personality to match. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but she had blonde hair and was amazing! I will definitely be eating here again!

@Dec.2025 Went for late dinner on Wednesday, there weren’t many people so we could sit without waiting. I ordered “Royale with cheese”. It says Wagyu, I don’t know if it’s really made with Wagyu but tastes good, fries were fried a bit too much. I also tried strawberry salad, sounds unusual but tasted very good, I really liked it! Restaurant atmosphere is good and the server was nice.

Google
Fantastic food to be tavern style, or any for that matter. Far cry from your typical bar/tavern food for sure. The meals were well portioned and equally as delicious 🤤 We will definitely be back! Get here early though, not a super big place and the crowds and wait certainly increase.

In the grand, bustling kitchen of Marlow’s Tavern, three titans of the menu held court, each revered for their singular perfection. They were not just food; they were legends, each carrying the weight of culinary history. The Protagonists Sir Burger: A classic, robust patty of pure ground chuck. He was the anchor, the foundational hero—strong, reliable, and deeply satisfying. He represented the common man's comfort and the perfect canvas for flavor. The Wagyu Baroness: A cut of Wagyu steak, marbled like an oil painting, rich and intensely flavorful. She was luxury, the whisper of decadence, bringing an unparalleled, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Lady Grilled Cheese: A humble, yet masterful construction of creamy, melting Gruyère and provolone between perfectly buttered, griddled bread. She was warmth, gooey embrace, and the ultimate nostalgia. The Great Fusion One twilight hour, as the kitchen lights dimmed and only the low heat lamps glowed, the three were placed side-by-side, cooling on a preparation counter. Sir Burger sighed, a plume of savory steam escaping his perfect sear. "Ah, Baroness," he rumbled, "your richness is unparalleled. I feel coarse next to your exquisite marbling." The Wagyu Baroness shimmered under the light. "Nonsense, Sir Burger. Your hearty texture is what gives substance to a meal. But look at Lady Grilled Cheese," she swooned, "that golden crust, that molten heart... it is the very definition of comfort and elegance combined." Lady Grilled Cheese blushed, her cheeses stretching slightly in a luxurious ooze. "Oh, my champions. We each stand alone, yes, but what if... what if we didn't? What if our best qualities could be unified?" A hush fell. The kitchen smelled of possibilities: sharp cheese, rich beef, and toasted bread. Sir Burger knew what had to be done. He offered his strength, his deep, beefy foundation. The Wagyu Baroness, seeing his courage, offered her smooth, intoxicating tenderness—the essence of her fat rendered perfectly for maximum flavor. And Lady Grilled Cheese, with a glorious, golden sigh, offered her embrace: the dual cheeses, Gruyère for nuttiness and provolone for stretch, the toasted bread holding them tight. The Birth of the Royale In a flash of inspiration—a moment of true culinary genius—a chef, watching this magnificent tableau, realized the fusion. They were not meant to be served separately; they were meant to be one. The robust flavor of the Burger, the decadent tenderness of the Wagyu, and the gooey, comforting hug of the Grilled Cheese—they were layered, united, crowned with caramelized onion for sweetness and bacon for crunch. And thus, the "Royale" was born: a sandwich that was both hearty and refined, luxurious yet comforting. It was a masterpiece, the perfect offspring of three culinary legends, combining the best of the grill and the griddle into a single, unforgettable bite.

Food was great and the staff were pleasant. Only issue that I had was that the air was blowing too high so it was too cold. I should have brought that jacket/sweater just in case 🙂

Google
We are from out of town and stopped in here to grab some lunch and drinks and hang for a bit, not knowing anything in the area. It was the BEST decision. The server, Kenny, was super knowledgeable and friendly, and a ton of fun. Had the BEST attitude, and amazing service. He recommended food for us, which was absolutely top tier, got us some delicious drinks, and got my husband the "new fashioned" which he was surprised at how much he loved it!! The server definitely made the experience amazing after a long, long weekend in Atlanta. The flatbread with apples and Brie was so good I thought I died and went to heaven. Definitely check this place out, and to management - give that man some praise, he was phenomenal!

Google
Its been a minute since we last ate at Marlows Tavern but I have to say their Shrimp & Grits were as good as I remember from my last visit. My wife had the fish tacos and was pleased as well. The star of the show has been and was today their unique white cheddar cheese grit cake, they are IMO incredibly awesome and for anyone that likes grits, its a must try.

Google
Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The sauce = 🩷🩷🩷 Also, asparagus fries 🥰 Just really yummy food.

Yelp
It's been a while since we've eaten here but it was just as good as I remembered. We were seated right away because we were okay to sit on the patio. There were no available tables inside. It was a little warm on the patio at first, then the sun went behind the clouds and it was fine. The food was good as we got a Tavern Burger and the Chicken Panini. But my favorite part was the Honey-Lime vinaigrette on my little salad. Delicious! The prices are good. Our server was very attentive and kept our waters filled. Great visit tonight!

Yelp
I called in an order to go since it was walking distance from my hotel. Upon entering the restaurant they seemed busy, a good crowd of folks for 8:30 PM. There wasn't anyone to greet me at the door - waiters seemed occupied with their tables. I didn't see a register or take out sign so after a few minutes of awkwardly trying to get a workers attention, I walked towards their kitchen. A few workers were chatting and entering things on the kiosk but none of them came to help me. After another few awkward minutes, a worker behind them finally asked me if I was helped. I had to wait a few minutes but I didn't see anywhere to sit/stand so I was just hanging out by their kitchen. The salad was tasty- crunchy and flavorful. The tavern burger was okay. I had it medium well and it felt a bit heavy and bland towards the last few bites.

Yelp
Uploading some photos from our last visit to Marlow's Tavern. The fries that came with kids menu were my son's favorite. We enjoyed a cheesecake dessert. Their steamed broccoli I got with my panini was fantastic as well as the panini but I'm picky about my vegetables having some flavor. My husband got their roast beef dip sandwich and enjoyed it. Service was great and the ambiance is classical or typical restaurant usually and lunch but we went for dinner so it seemed a little more intimate and quiet with appropriate lighting. This would be a great place for date night as they have such a great menu selection.

Yelp
Came to celebrate a friend. The manager was wonderful and willing to accommodate our group of 9 (we called ahead and made a reservation). At first we were seated inside at a high top but it felt too crowded and frankly was really loud inside. It was also freezing inside and that wasn't comfortable. We ended up moving to the covered patio. Both our initial server and final server, Brittany, were wonderful and so helpful. I had the wagyu burger with chickpea fries. First time having chickpea fries but I didn't hate them! They are soft which I didn't expect so the texture may turn some people off. My mom had the brisket grilled cheese and the brisket was amazing! I'd get that next time. Parking: free private lot.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing experience at Marlow's Tavern. We ordered four appetizers, and only one was remotely decent. The "wagyu" tasted more like prosciutto -- nothing close to what you'd expect from wagyu beef. The steak and chicken nachos were a joke: maybe eight chips total, topped with imitation crab and cheese -- definitely not real nachos. The crab parmesan dip was the best of the bunch, but even that used imitation crab meat. The soup was okay, but it was supposed to come with bread (as listed on the menu), and none was served. Also would love to add maybe have someone come check on the fly issue I can't even try to enjoy my meal without swatting flies! Overall, for the price and the reputation, we left very disappointed. Definitely not the quality or experience we expected from Marlow's Tavern.

Yelp
We love coming here. Our bartender Hunter always has our drinks waiting. If you want the best burger in town this is hands down the best place. They now have beef carpaccio on their menu. Super excited about that. Their wings are fabulous and the tuna appetizer is not to be missed.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night. The ambiance nothing spectacular (looked like a regular pub or tavern ). The service we received was mediocre and my party notice that our waiter was a little more friendly with other tables he was servicing. The food was good ( we ordered the NY strip and steak salad). Would most definitely visit for takeout because the service wasn't a great experience.

Yelp
A bit of a mixed experience overall tonight. We were pleasantly surprised dropping in to this restaurant tonight for a quick bite on the quick seating. The ambiance was very chill. We had a child in our party, and our server was good about putting in her food first to get her settled along with our drinks. That was a positive start. Our food had generous portions for some items (salads and fries). I tried the ahi tuna salad, which was very satisfying. The others at the table reported that the chicken panini was good but the salmon was a surprisingly small and dry. The service was pretty quick early on, but we did not get drink refills beyond some water. We specifically asked for refills (which we never got), and it was a bit odd that we didn't receive any refill offers given that we were all drinking non-alcoholic drinks. Our waiter seemed to disappear near the end, which probably explains the lack of refill offers. Basically, a bit of a mixed bag for this visit overall.

Yelp
I met with two friends for lunch. The server was great and came by when needed but allowed us time to chat and we didn't feel rushed. I had the French dip which was delicious. We had the asparagus fries for an appetizer and it was tasty as well. A nice setting with high benches so it's not loud.

Yelp
Ordinarily, I love visiting Marlow's. In fact I was excited to go there and enjoy and nice meal. The meal started off good, the host was friendly and showed us to our table promptly. The server came over took our drink order. Still going good, then he brought back the water and spent a lot of time looking for tea bags. He should have let us know they were out and he would have to retrieve them from storage. So we waited and waited and waited for him to return. After 15 min or some time later he arrive with the tea bags but water was cold, so he left again and did not return. He could have asked a team member to step in a bring us water and let us know he would come take our order in a few minutes. But there was no communication after waiting long enough, I asked to speak to manager, her name was Tannie. Not sure if my spelling is correct. I explained we had been waiting some time for tea bags and that my water was cold. I also asked could we have another server because ours was apparently busy. She took our order herself and apologize for the wait. She put our order in it arrived in a reasonable amount of time . Different people brought our food to the table. But after that no one came to check to see if food was as ok, to refill our drinks etc. Also the original server did not even come to the table to apologize and offer an explainstio. I had to find someone to pay the check. Then they charged me for someone else's by mistake. So they had to adjust the bill. It was just a night that was frought with challenges. The food we received taste good. I ordered burger medium, it was medium well. The broccoli was delious. The reason for my score is because the last two visits to Marlows have not met expectations. There was a noticeable difference in the experience and food quality. However, the prices have increased. I would like to recommend this location but it has not delivered on the overall experience for me.

Yelp
Burger delicious and the onion rings some of the best anywhere! The burger was special for Gwinnett burger week; however, Marlow's never disappoints. Have enjoyed their menu for years.

Yelp
The food & beer selection was a nice pick of domestic and draft. Michelob Ultra to Miller Lite to 420 Ipa. I had the chili and burger which they undercooked but it was still good. The jam was added and I couldn't taste it, probably because of the undercooked juice runoff. The service started out at 3/4 empty and a refill was waiting to literally 2 bartenders walking past our empty glasses 10x. Overall it's a nice establishment very close to Gas South Arena. Go Glads

Yelp
My family of four had a great lunch today, and for the first time in a long while, we all agreed that we loved everything about it! Our server, Christopher, was amazing--he really talked up the fresh ingredients and let us know everything was made in-house, which was impressive. The atmosphere inside had a perfect vibe for enjoying a meal with family or friends, but we chose to sit on the patio, and it was a lovely experience. We tried a variety of dishes, including a non-traditional shrimp and grits, a black and blue burger with fries, the French dip, and a steak salad. While everything was delicious, the black and blue burger was the standout for me--I enjoyed every bite! I even tried a little bit of everyone else's food, and it was all top-notch. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. I've already downloaded the app and became a member, which gave us a nice deal of $10 off a $30 purchase. With such great food, atmosphere, and service, I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by for a couple appetizers and a beer and the food was amazing.

Yelp
Once again, the shrimp and crab nachos were OUTSTANDING! My friend got the filet with garlic herb butter and loaded potato and added a small salad. His was gone before I could get my phone out to take a pic! We also got the blue crab dip with the butter crackers, and it was delicious! First time trying it, but it's definitely not the last! We went around 5ish, and there was no wait, but it was pretty full, so the noise level was pretty loud. I've never been disappointed here.

Denishia T.

Yelp
This visit was unplanned yet worthwhile. On a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't a wait, yet we elected to sit at the bar. There were two menus available to select from. We only drank a mimosa before leaving. So no food consumed....sorry! I'm not used to mimosas with pulp and there was a ton of it in my small glass (I drink pulp-free orange juice). The bartender only asked if I wanted the mimosa with or without ice. The real question should have been with or without pulp....hold the ice. The glass the mimosa was served in seemed smaller than a traditional champagne glass. The mimosa and how it was served is the only reason why I'm not voting 5-stars. I decided this venue is best for early afternoon/evening encounters. Brunch vibes are more so outdoor on the patio but it was too hot since we arrived around 12:30p. It is shaded though. Inside this establishment it's more intimate and definitely a place I would recommend for a first date ; ) I will return in the future for date night! *Stay tuned for an update

Yelp
Highly recommend... great food and service in a chill atmosphere. The fried okra appetizer is a must try.

Yelp
If i could give zero stars i would . LENA is the rudest person I have came across in a while ! I was at lunch with a friend who had recently gave her a lyft ride as well and she rude to the driver as well! I'm not sure of the hiring process here at Marlow's but LENA has got to go! Other than that food was amazing!

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Service and drinks were impeccable. Ambiance was casual and friendly. Highly recommended for food and drinks.

Good food and good service. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Solid choice.

Yelp
Me and my friend were awaiting a 2 hour waitlist to be seated at Just Brunch so we decided to use our better judgement before starving to death and walk next door. The parking is pretty decent as there are a few shopping and food options in this area. When we got inside we were seated right away! We opted for outside because it was pretty chilly inside the dining area. Our waiter was awesome Our drinks were really good The food was really good too minus the Shrimp Nachos they are disgusting I tried them twice. The cheese is just not doing it for me. Yuck. We had The coconut basil margarita The blackberry mojito The black and blue burger with asparagus fries And the chicken and waffle The seating was still cold outside but it's no fault of theirs it's just windy in that area so be mindful. Overall I enjoyed myself and would definitely go back on a warmer day.
google avatar

Wendy F.

Yelp
The food was really good - we had the chicken soup, trout dip, and the bistro filet with twice baked potato. The soup was hot and tasty. The smoked trout dip with pita chips was the best bite of the meal. The filet was cooked as ordered. The twice baked potato was not what you would expect. It was shaped like a muffin cut in half. It was tasty but not what you would expect. The service was good and our waiter was great. He made special effort to ensure the food ordered did not contain dairy. The place was clean although the lighting was a little lacking.
google avatar

Ticia Y.

Yelp
Our brunch/lunch server was amazing and I wish that I remembered her name! The gal at the hostess stand was a complete robot compared to her. The parking lot was a nightmare to squeeze in and vulture in a circle for a spot (this was around noon on a Sunday so I totally get why it was so busy!) The interior is way too dark. I had to use my cell to read a menu. I guess on a date night, or having a drink at the bar, I would like the dim vibe, but for our family having brunch and lunch, it was just stupidly dark in the corner we were seated in which happened to also be below a window, so the daylight was our best light feature lol. The Food! Marlowes NEVER disappoints. Every location that I've ever eaten at is incredible and consistently good, especially the asparagus fries and the lobster nachos. Several of us had breakfast items which were also great. My children and I appreciated that the bathrooms were gender neutral and clean. I'm just sorry that I don't remember our server's name because she was fantastic.

Hannah S.

Yelp
Came here with the whole family and no one had a bad meal. We called ahead day of and they were able to give us a reservation same day. Our server Kevin was wonderful very attentive. The restaurant was packed so you could tell it was going to be good. The grouper sandwich was one of the best I've had! The kids loved the presentation of their meals. The steak was perfectly cooked on the salad. The restaurant was really cute and clean. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We are on spring break with our 9 & 7 year olds, pulling a camper. I picked Marlow's Tavern based on outside seating, ease of finding parking close by and Yelp says it's good for dogs. They would not let us sit with our dogs outside. Very disappointed. There were only a couple people sitting outside as it was.
google avatar

Peter R.

Yelp
First time patron - sat at the bar enjoying my cocktails and then ordered a steak and salad from the burly bar tender - 30 minutes later - went to the men's room and noticed my dinner sitting on the pick up rack - sat back down and inquired about my steak and the burly bartender went over to pick it up and to deliver it - guess what cold as ice and nothing worse than eating cold steak. Inexcusable and if the bartender would have checked it while it was finished, I would have had a hot steak. Not a happy camper - staying at the Marriott next door - first visit and last visit. Too bad as the place was extremely busy...

Yelp
I took my mama here for lunch. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a pale ale. About the time I was finishing my beer, the food arrived. It looked good but when I took one bite i had to turn around and slap momma right across the face! Legit food, cold drinks, great whiskey selection!

Yelp
Went here on a Sunday night at 5:15pm. We were told it was a 20-25 min wait for an inside table and outside, heated patio was open. We opted to wait for an inside table and went to the bar for a drink. The bar gets a 5 star rating. They were quick and attentive. After 35 minutes we went to check where we were on the list and they said, Oh, we are ready. So they walk us to a a table that is occupied and said, wait, come back to the front. They gave our table up because they said they called us. Um, we were right next to you at the bar and they go up near the bar and call out names and they never did that. So they offered us a table on the patio again. FINE, we'll take it but only because we have a show to go to and we don't want to be late. So we get seated outside and it's not very busy out there. Three waiters walked past us and not one stopped to take our order. Finally after a table that was sat after us was getting their drinks, I called out to the waitress and asked if she knew who our server was. She was like, Oh, I don't know, let me check. She comes back and says, your table ins't on the list but I can help you. We had sat there for 20-25 minutes without anyone coming up to us. That is pretty unacceptable. Once she helped us, she was very pleasant. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and wasn't impressed. There was lot of fat on the meat which I had to pick off. I probably wouldn't go back to this location unless we sat at the bar.

Rundy T.

Yelp
This was horrible, waiter passed us 3 times and didn't acknowledge he was the waiter until I had someone to get whoever? Service was terrible! Eric was totally loss, requested refills when you could flag him down. Almost had to beg for the check! Going down hill bad on Sugarloaf!

Yelp
Food is fresh and good portion. Bar tenders alway friendly and talkative. Good place to go hangout. Place is cozy been twice last year.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been frequenting Marlows for several years, including when they first opened. I used to really enjoy the quality of their burgers and dishes but it seems like post-pandemic they've expanded their menu and the quality of their staples has gone down. The burgers are still okay but again, the quality has gone down. I also used to love their fries and it seems like they've changed them. They're either too soft and not golden or burnt. The service is typically pretty good so no complaints there. It's a nice spot to eat outside when the weather is nice, indoors can get a little crowded. Overall I don't mind going here occasionally but its definitely changed over the years and its not a go-to spot for me anymore.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
This place is bomb asf in my opinion. Me and the ole lady tried it out and was pleasantly impressed. The ambiance was so chill! The dim lit dining room was just right. We tried the wagyu beef hamburger, wings and got some fried asparagus, which was absolutely divine! Everything was just on point! Million dollar question, "will we go back"? DAMN STRAIGHT! Actually we on our way now

Yelp
The food was outstanding, the servers were amazing (Kevin) Please pass on the remarks

Alaina F.

Yelp
Honestly don't waste your time, there are plenty of other restaurants with the same pricing that is higher quality and higher care. This place is mediocre and I only recommend if you plan on getting a drink from the bar.

Yelp
We have been regulars at this Marlows since it opened. We also look for Marlows in other parts of town if it us meal time after an event. This was such an occasion - headed back into Gwinnett after a soccer game. Restaurant was fairly busy, but we were promptly seated. Service was a bit slower than usual to start - but they were working through a rush, and we got our drinks and an appetizer to share, and settled in. 35 minutes after ordering our meal, we began to wonder what was going on. No one had come to the table to freshen drinks, no need as to our food, and we wondered if we needed to go hunting. At about 40 minutes, food arrived. Wife's shrimp & grits were fine, no complaints. I ordered the trout dip - it was fine, no complaints. I had also ordered the Parmesan Fries as the other half of my meal - stone cold. We ordered the fried okra for the table - stone cold. My son's burger was dry and overcooked with lukewarm fries. We returned the okra and Parm fries, elected not to get replacements since we did not want to wait another 30+ minutes. Service from that point forward was even more scarce, borderline surly. No manager came to the table - which should have happened automatically. E-mail sent to notify Marlows of the events has gone unanswered. I will not write off all Marlows locations, but my local Duluth spot is off the rotation. I can understand a failure of expediting, but to simply not care is a bigger problem.

Yelp
Really nice spot to grab a quick bite with family or friends. The quality of the food is refreshing and filling. They have nice portion sizes and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I love love Marlows! In recently moved to PA but always my first stop when I get back to GA!

Yelp
Service was good and fast. I had the Shrimp Campanella, which was tasty. A nice option for anyone staying at the Marriotts up the hill.

Yelp
Best burgers and asparagus fries which are an additional charge however my friend and I asked to split the fries as we each got a burger. Our waiter brought us both an order with our burger without an upcharge!! Drinks are a tad pricey but so good! Love Marlows Tavern
google avatar

Trent N.

Yelp
Absolutely packed on a Wednesday night. I sat at the bar where there was 1 seat open. I ordered the $13.80 wings. They split them half and half (half buffalo and half something else). I can't remember, but the non-buffalo one was better. The wings were big and well flavored though. The $14 black and blue burger was standard. I got jalapeño grits as a side and that was great. I can't order something like that in California. Lively spot. Doubt I'll be traveling through Duluth soon, but I had a fun time.

Dee L.

Yelp
A perfect place to hangout after a long day. Serving size is generous. The nachos was a great surprise. So full of flavor. A meal by itself if you don't want to share.

Andrea W.

Yelp
Food was great!!!! Our waitress was nice and friendly, yet towards the end she kinda took a good minute to give us the ticket. Overall, I'll come back, very nice place

Jamie B.

Yelp
I got sick after ordering the fish tacos. I should have sent the food back but I went at lunch with coworkers and we had already waited over 30 minutes for the food to come out. Overall, the quality has gone downhill and the service is not any better. Disappointing

Yelp
Located conveniently off of i85, we chose this place to eat prior to going to our event at Gas South Arena (right across the street) No expectations since we had never dined here before. We were quoted a 30 minute wait for 3 people but we were seated in about 10-15 minutes, so that was really a great start to our meal. The menu looks appetizing. We decided to start with crab and shrimp nachos. I wasn't a fan. It desperately needs a side sauce but there were none available (that would compliment seafood nachos) My salmon entree came out piping hot and was pretty decent. 3/5. The drinks were superb. The burgers (not pictured) have a fantastic grill taste and I was kind of wishing that I ordered one. Our server was really good. Checked in when needed and was quick with his service. Not completely writing this place off. But I will reserve it for casual drinks, burgers and fries.

Yelp
Really like the spot. It's a great small chain restaurants that have won a lot of awards. I typically have a really tight ship and consistent food. They also post a lot of options for tons of diets. This time I got the Asian salad with all he tuna. The tuna was not favorite very much, but definitely cooked to perfection. The salad itself was pretty large and diverse. The dressing was absolutely delightful. Mixed all together, it was a pretty solid dish. I would like to have Seymour salads with vegetarian options and/or seafood. That black and blue salad with some salmon would've been awesome but I didn't want to ask how they would go about that. I should have. The server was incredibly attentive and on her game. She did kind of stress me out because she had a pretty high pitch voice, visited the table a lot and kept calling us "friends" over and over. She got it all right tho. Very clean bathrooms. Great parking. Solid choice.

Yelp
Always great service and fantastic food. Our order is always correct. Whenever we eat there we leave saying we should go there more often. I wish there was one closer yo Hoschton/Braselton.

Yelp
We always seem to end up here after an event on the other side of town or after a late concert and have not yet been disappointed. They are open later than other places and food and service are always on point. The crab dip is awesome, as well as the burger and fish and chips. The restaurants are always nicely lit and clean and inviting. It's nice to have a local chain you can count on.
