Google
Way better in comparison to the cafes in Chicago. Food was actually seasoned fairly well and my steak was cooked to a perfect medium as requested.

Good portions and good service, food came pretty fast. We got the calamari and it’s decent, good batter. The house guac was a miss. The guac did not look home made…. More of a paste and not e enough chips, other portions are big but oddly this app was small. Men restroom was not clean at the time we went.

Google
Ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict, The Waffle with Berries and the chorizo and eggs. The produce of this place is so fresh and tasty. The fruit had so much flavor and the portions were perfect for 2. I did also have their fresh squeezed orange juice that gave my hangover life. The only thing I’d say I gave a little side eye to is that the waffles are separate from any combo. Besides that, they were worth it.

We give 20 stars to the Marmalade Café and their staff for making us feel appreciated while taking care of us. The food is excellent! My wife loves the meatloaf, my daughter enjoyed the meatballs, and I had the sole, which I really liked. We all loved the butter cake as well. This is our second time here, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The atmosphere is perfect for a first date, and the prices are reasonable.

Came here before a hockey game and was perfect for my son who loves Nutella. This place was the only place to have Nutella available for waffles. I had the turkey club sandwich which had a good amount of turkey. It was not thin deli slices but thicker pieces which felt almost like carved turkey slices. The sweet potato fries were crispy but soft on the inside. Not greasy at all! The best part was to tomatoes bisque. I am not a big tomato soup fan but their soup was fantastic! I would go back just for the tomato soup but the other food was great too. I will be back definitely when in the area. A must go every time now! Oh on the side there was a baby shower and beautifully decorated in a cute small area. Perfect place for s small party gathering or work party.

Google
Marmalade Cafe is a family friendly restaurant located in Plaza El Segundo. The bright expansive building has welcoming vibes inside and out. The menu is easy to read with breakfast fare along with sandwiches, select seasonal selections and morning beverages. Skip the crispy beef rib hash as the lack of beef and flavor disappoints. The Chorizo Benedict as well as Cross Creek are the way to go. Tasty, well prepared and filling. Marmalade Cafe entree prices average about $22 pp without a drink so add another $5 for coffee, tea, juice. Gratuity makes it about $32-35 pp all in. Great stop for business breakfast or catch up brunch If having morning cocktails or mimosas the carafes for $35 are the way to go.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and was seated right away. Plenty of parking in the lot. I did make reservations through resy, which I didn't need. The restaurant itself is very spacious. The service was OK. I felt like the waitress took forever and we had to wave her over to fill there empty water cups multiple times. I've been here before prior to moving to San Diego, but this place just didn't impress me when I came back recently. Food review: Marmalade breakfast: (3/5) This was simple, but pretty good. The bacon was extremely salty and too crispy/ almost burnt. The breakfast potatoes and eggs were good though. Chicken and waffles: (4.5/5) surprisingly these were pretty good! The waffle had a nice crunch and flavor to it and the chicken was well seasoned and not too dry. Chilaquiles: (2.5/5) This was not good at all. The chips were way too soggy to eat and overall flavor was lacking. Definitely wouldn't order this again.

My mom, who considers herself a French Onion Soup connoisseur, couldn't stop raving about her bowl of it at Marmalade Cafe! All of our food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was a nice capper to Sunday shopping.

Yelp
Pros-I enjoy coming here for breakfast. The host is always available and pleasant. The waiter is friendly and attentive and checks up on us periodically. The food was good I order chorizo eggs Benedict and they're very generous with a chorizo patty under the egg. It can with country style potatoes which was my favorite. Cons- the only take away I can say is that the woman's restroom looks like it's falling apart. The sink is chipping away on its own, the hardware is loose because of all the wear and tear. The soap dispenser has half a drop of soap coming out at a time which. The paper dispenser has one inch of paper coming out at a time when ever it decides to work because it doesn't sense motion. So instead of replacing it they place another one under it you can't really see. Other than that I loved my experience :)

Yelp
Came here on Thanksgiving with a guest to enjoy the preset menu. Both of us opted for the roast beef, fresh greens, mashed potatoes, salad and varying options for dessert. Ingrid S was our server and did a great job on this special day but it was the "out of the way" and special service by none other than Adrian, the CSA, or customer service All Star who made this particular experience memorable. While mostly in a support role here, Adrian provided that special touch that comes by way of recognition-from getting to know your loyal and faithful customers/patrons over x amount of time. Again, while our server did a good job, she was super busy going back and forth with the expected Thanksgiving crowd and normal chaos-so we dont fault her at all. But this is where Adrian shone, and looked out for us in the process of helping Ingrid out, whether by going back and forth with our numerous cups of coffee and requests for heavy cream, to requests for extra napkins-at the end of the day he made our experience special. All in all and outstanding experience, and one that will leave us physically capable of now cooking our Christmas dinner at home! We go all out with a Creole Gumbo whose ingredients are all flow in from New Orleans. But what many dont realize is the signle most crucial ingredient in Creole cooking is.......TIME. We learned about a decade ago that we can't cook for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those days are over. Thanks to Marmalade, Ingrid and Adrian for helping to make this experience wonderful Thanksgiving day experience, and one that will now allow us to put in the requsite hours in the kitchen for X Mas!

Yelp
After being away briefly...my Sister and I decided to check out this fabulous Cafe for our favorite "chicken pot pie" and "French onion soup" bit salty but still good! We are pleased to give a special shoutout to Ms Angelica for "working" the whole restaurant and was very attentive to us. More Power To Marmalade Cafe...and More To Ms Angelica!

Yelp
First time back in a few years, food was good. Prices about average for the quality, staff was friendly and attentive. Party of 8 with tax and tip came out to about $35 per person. Good selection of items for almost anyone's tastes.

Yelp
Nice breakfast spot with a decent vibe. I will say the highlight for me was the Mimosas! Lol Had a few of the Peach and Mango ones. The food was cool as well, I had the Marmalade Classic Waffle, Lobster Benedict and Breakfast Potatoes.

Yelp
Your neighborhood diner meets cutesy and trendy. Marmalade Cafe is in such a fun hub of LA near both the airport and Manhattan Beach; it's a great place to visit if you're relatively local or arrive/departing from your trip to LA! I visited 8:30am on a Tuesday morning and it was pretty empty inside. The service was friendly and very quick, and the breakfast items were delicious! I ordered the three ranch eggs (sunny side) which came with roasted potatoes and sourdough bread. It was a good serving that kept me full for most of the day. Simple but so much flavor!

Yelp
Delicious food and Wine. Great service. I was so happy they were still open on a Sunday at 8pm. Yum!

Yelp
Brunch at Marmalade -- Decent, but Pricey Landed at LAX a bit earlier than expected and, being back in SoCal after a conference in Portland, I was in the mood for brunch. While taxiing to the gate, I texted my daughter (who lives nearby), and lucky me -- she and her boyfriend were free. We made a plan, I grabbed my rental car, and met up at Marmalade. Parking: Easy and plentiful.Timing: Saturday morning around 11 a.m., surprisingly, no wait. Our server was super pleasant, professional, and took care of us quickly. The food: Not bad overall, but a couple of misses. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with lox and specifically asked for the eggs to be poached medium (not runny). Unfortunately, they still came out runny. Could I have sent them back? Sure, but I was hungry and didn't want to wait. Such is life. The bigger issue for me was cost vs. value. I don't mind spending money when dining out, but our total for three breakfasts -- a lox scramble, pancakes with scrambled eggs, and my eggs Benedict with lox, plus three coffees -- came to about $85 + tip. For what we got, it felt steep. Final thought: Would I go back? Maybe -- but probably not for brunch.

Yelp
This restaurant is my sister's favorite place to get together for a family meal because they have Delicious food and Delicious drinks Great customer service all the time very polite and friendly staff Great cozy place We had a great time today with both of my sisters!

Yelp
I had been wanting to come here for a very long time. Finally came in for brunch and we all loved it! I really enjoyed my BLTA - but please note, I noticed the lettuce was kind of dirty, I cleaned it off with my finger and yes indeed in was dirty!! My boyfriend got the Bloody Mary and did not like it. He sent it back and instead got the agua Fresca but that was very sugary and not good. I shared my orange juice with him and that one was a 10/10!! Other than that; my son loved his lobster shrimp linguine and my daughter liked her fettuccine Alfredo. Service was great! I will be back to try other dishes!

Yelp
Quick update. One year later, I visited again with five people. Everyone who was there last year ordered the same thing as they did this year with the exception of someone ordering a salad. The fifth person (who was not with us last year) ordered the fried chicken. Everything was status quo. Delicious food (especially my Ancient Grains Burger which I gobbled down), outstanding service, wonderful ambience and easy parking! Another wonderful visit!

Yelp
It's been a while since I last came here. Nice and bright space, friendly host and quick service. I decided to get the garden vegetable egg white frittata. I was pleasantly surprised that it was flavorful. Veggies were fresh and nicely seasoned. Breakfast potatoes were also good. Hubby had the smoked salmon scramble (he added goat cheese). I thought his portion looked a little small, but he was quite content after eating the toast and fruit. My sister had the crab cake Benedict, was just okay. I don't think I'd order it as it wasn't that flavorful and didn't have that much crab.
google avatar

Yelp
It was not a good experience for us. The restaurant is nice. We went for lunch on a Sunday. The food was so bland! Garlic shrimp linguine with capers had neither the garlic nor capers!! (At least they were nice enough not to charge me for it!! ) The service was really slow!!! And their glasses had a nasty fishy smell. U only get one chance to make a first impression comes to mind.

Yelp
Beautiful gigantic venue with lots of private events going on in different spaces of the restaurant. Great place for large groups. Nice large parking lot. Loved the double cappuccino here! The turkey burger was fine and even better with all the roasted veggies. Service was efficient and professional. I will return!

Yelp
We came in after the lunch rush so there was no line and we were seated right away. The hostess and servers were all friendly and attentive, and there was very little wait time for our food or drink refills. Although there's a high beamed ceiling, the noise level wasn't terrible, and we could keep up a conversation. Everything we ordered was delicious - chips and guacamole, turkey melt (with a yummy chipotle aioli), sweet potato fries, burger, club sandwich... Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. And remember - if you're free, 1:00 is a great time to visit on a weekday afternoon.

Yelp
Again. Great spot. Manager is very nice. Neighborhood spot. Sit at the bar though lol Jaime makes the best espresso Martinis. This is coming from someone who works in the industry in Belaire. Still trying to figure out the layers.

Yelp
Came here for a quick breakfast , was happy to find no wait. Service was fast and food was delicious It was close to 60$ for two plates no drinks so a little bit pricey. I feel like I can get the same quality for less $$ in competing locations which is why I will probably choose not to come back. It if money isn't a factor I recommend for an upscale atmosphere.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Five star service, excellent waiter Pilar was excellent but the establishments business plan was just ridiculous. The cheapest item on the menu is essentially $20 and you don't really get any sides except for potatoes on most items. Most of the menu is your traditional high overhead items that should reflect lower pricing but that is not the case. My eggs Benedict had shells in it, and the mash under it was wayyyy too salty and I like salty, and frankly for the pricing quality should not have such errors and I'm just upset because the setting is so nice as well as the service but the food is just cheap for the pricing even the coconut Syrup with strawberries and watermelon drink I got was all ice and hardly anything to drink. The only reason they are getting two stars is because the service was flawless

Yelp
Out here visiting the bestie and found this spot as our last brunch of the weekend. And glad I did. The food was delicious and made to order, even with having to send the soup back to heat it up. Me: The chorizo eggs benedict what is marmalade potatoes, a little crispy. She: The chicken fettuccine. Her: The french onion soup. We: Mango mimosas Even with our server being beyond busy, the rest of the staff including the manager Taryn jumped in to make sure we were gonna be alright! Ambiance was what is expected for a good restaurant on a Sunday, busy and full of chatter. Oh yeah, our seats were great, a spacious booth with a view of the tvs, perfect for watching the game. I am not a local, but I will be back! Giving this place 4 yumms up!

Yelp
We visited Marmalade for the very first time and loved our meals. The food was delicious and service was spectacular. Also, loved how clean it was. Everyone working there was quite pleasant. We saw they had a very extensive breakfast menu, so next time we will stop bye earlier in the day.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
First off the service is on. They come to the table in a reasonable time. I love the Ambiance. It's also nice and quiet. You can relax and eat at your pace. I had the Onion soup and chicken pot pie both very good and tasty, the pot pie will stuff you, I am hard to fill up I am 6'4", 1 of my top 10 that I have had around the world. For those who like to drink they have a full stocked bar, I finished up with the house tiramisu, it ok I/ you might pass on this. It's missing something I know what it is that would take it to a much better taste, and its a simple add to. I will management get ahold of me. Overall this is a place to come to.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I always enjoy the atmosphere, food and latte's. The upside down pineapple pancake is my go to dessert. The customer service is outstanding. Kudos to the manager, she's amazing and always catering to her customers. She's the best. I highly recommend marmalade in El Segundo.

Yelp
Surprised my mother in law while in LA last weekend for breakfast. My in laws eat at Marmalade Cafe 2-3 a week so it must be really really good. The manager Taryn is very sweet. Every employee we encountered was friendly & seemed to love their job. It's a big restaurant and the bathrooms are clean. See my pics

Yelp
It's hard to review a place when one clearly ordered the wrong food. But here I am. I came here for brunch. I felt like breakfast food. They have a selection. of different eggs Benedict dishes and I ordered the lobster version. Big mistake. The eggs were poached very well. The sauce was pretty good too. The potatoes were well prepared. The problem was the lobster. It had an odd texture, like seafood does when it's frozen and either defrosted and stored improperly or refrozen again. It lacked the firmness that lobster normally has. It also tasted less than fresh and had a horrible aftertaste. I actually feel a little sick to my stomach right now. Is this my fault for ordering lobster here? Maybe. The place looks nice. It has an upscale vibe. I was here alone and do not like sitting at the bar. So i was seated in a table right in front on the kitchen opening. I get that they want to prioritize nicer seats. My server was very pleasant and attentive. He refilled my water and coffee without me asking more than once. He was great. The food was not. So i think 3 is fair for the good server and nice ambiance. The lobster was so bad it can't be higher.

Yelp
I went here a couple weeks ago for the first time with a friend for breakfast and the food was good. The service was good. The ambience was like you're in your mom's kitchen having breakfast just super chill, relaxed, and comfortable and cozy. It also gave me a fancy cafeteria vibe lol. A very nice dino g experience
google avatar

Yelp
First of all, Amazing place and the food was like to die for lol. It was just that good. My friend and I came here for the first time and it was completely mind blowing. The service was great, I forgot the name of our server but he was just so welcoming and joyful when greeting his customers. The ambiance here was classy and fancy when we walked right the front doors. I would definitely come give this place another try and try out other food options.
google avatar

Mai V.

Yelp
This is a pretty big place with ample parking outside. They have both indoor and outdoor patio dining. It's a good place for a casual breakfast or lunch. Lots of the usual fare on the menu with lots of hearty options. Quick, friendly and casual service. It feels a little like a step up from a diner. My friend got the heart healthy breakfast which came out on a giant platter (which she couldn't even finish). I had the marmalade breakfast tacos which was an order of 3 hefty tacos. All the food was pretty decent. Even my chai tea latte came in a huge mug. You definitely get your money's worth here.
google avatar

Sean A.

Yelp
This restaurant is very spacious and also has a separate private patio area to host a small gathering. We were greeted by our hostess and server Keke who was polite and helpful. We ordered various dishes all of which were just ok as they were lacking in taste and flavor. A good option for those with sensitive tummies or special dietary needs as the food was under seasoned.
google avatar

Brittani R.

Yelp
While staying at a nearby hotel we were looking for a breakfast/brunch place that offered Espresso Martini and located Marmalade Cafe. Once inside I was expecting the decor to be more modern instead it was furnished like a traditional Pancake House, with a full bar. The staff were friendly and the food was good! I also liked that they offered both breakfast and lunch with a wide variety of food. Nice place!
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Really great prices on happy hour. Food is delicious on both that and the regular menu. Glazed salmon is awesome. Angelica our waitress was amazing. Definitely coming back again soon. Ambiance is great as well.

Yelp
Went here for the first time for a friends birthday lunch, the waiter was kind of sarcastic to say the least. I did order the tomato soup and it was good but not very warm not even hot. Ordered the French dip and I have to say it had no flavor and also no horseradish sauce. We also ordered the huevos ranchers was to dry with no flavor. I have to say I was pretty disappointed.
google avatar

Kaila G.

Yelp
Deanndra was the BEST server we have ever had. If she isn't a manager, she should be. Her service was impeccable and her positive attitude was even better. The food was great. Especially recommend the French onion soup & fried chicken sandwich. I will also add the manager on shift needs work on customer service and learning how to seat people. We had a party of 7, not that complicated. She said they couldn't push tables together which we replied saying two tables is fine. She was flustered and then said you'll just have to wait she has another party. No other party came after us. Thankfully Deanndra saw a simple solution like we did- two tables next to each other and she was able to get us seated, even offered to push the tables together with no problem. We would definitely return for Deanndra!

Yelp
Food is too pricey. Small glass of orange juice is $8.99. Eggs Benedict sauce had no detectable lemon flavor. So, why was it so yellow?

Yelp
Good cafe, good people that work there, they gave everything I wanted. If you come here you won't be dissatisfied

Yelp
The food was mediocre at best , served lukewarm warm and soggy. I ordered The chilaquiles and my son had the pasta , which was bland . For a mid afternoon lunch the service was pretty terrible considering the restaurant was fairly empty. We didn't come here for the service though but the food was a one star.

Yelp
Amazing vibes , great service , very colorful designs pink everywhere Prices are not expensive in average price range. Recommended

Yelp
Taryan ! And Jaime! Fantastic people. Jamie hooked it up to my liking. And Taryan made us feel at home! Omg the food is beyond satisfying and the workers made it that much better. Can't wait to come back and try dinner Thank you guys for making our experience phenomenal.

Yelp
My sister and I decided to grab breakfast here before heading home to the Central Valley. We were seated right away and got our drink order quickly. We ordered and got our food in a timely fashion. Food looked amazing. The Gilson's scramble was amazing and our favorite dish out of the two that we ordered. The French toast was okay. We've had better elsewhere but I did love the fresh fruit on top. The atmosphere was lovely. Our only complaint was we waited for a long time as our waiter never came back to check on us. We had to flag down another waitress just to get our check and pay.
google avatar

Yelp
Food portions are big, steaks very tender (I ordered medium rare) and chop salad dressing was perfect and big portion as well. They got us ice cream dessert for mom's birthday for free. Kids burger came with French fries and it was great texture and yummy. I ordered chicken marsala and it came with spaghetti and arugula salad. Overall it was very satisfying and price was reasonable. Service also great too.

Yelp
My wife and I have typically dined out several times a week over many years. Throughout these many years we have never gotten up in disgust and left a restaurant without ordering. That is until our recent visit to Marmalade in El Segundo. We have also never left a negative review until now. We received an email from Marmalade advertising their Lobster Thursday offerings. Since we both love steamed lobsters we made a reservation by phone directly with the restaurant on the previous day, specifically requesting steamed lobsters for the two of us. The person taking the reservation confirmed our reservation as well as the order for two steamed lobsters. We received a confirmation by both email and text message confirming our reservation. When we arrived at Marmalade, the restaurant said they did not have our reservation or lobster request. Others were having lobsters in tables adjacent to ours, but the waiter said they were out of lobsters. We asked to see the manager and showed him our reservation confirmation. All he could say was that he was sorry and blamed it on a lack of communication with the chef. He encouraged us to order something else. We were obviously extremely disappointed and got up from our table and left the restaurant. We spent well over an hour driving to and from the restaurant only to go home totally dissatisfied. At 7:00 pm on this Thursday Marmalade was mostly empty, so there is no excuse for messing up our reservation and our advanced request for lobsters There is obviously a serious communication problem at Marmalade. It seem to me that Marmalade may be doing a bait and switch on their Thursday Lobster dinners, and only serving a very limited number of lobsters that cannot meet even the demand of a very limited number of diners.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service excellent. Great Bloody Mary. Great decor and ambiance.

Yelp
Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. We went for brunch and while the food was good, it was crazy overpriced for what it was (both regular menu items and also the kids menu) and even had an uncharge to sub fresh fruit instead of breakfast potatoes. I enjoyed my meal but wouldn't go back for it unless someone else was paying!

Yelp
I've had good experiences here in the past but recently not so much. The place was packed, which is impressive for it being the only place standing on that side of the plaza in El Segundo. We sat outside on the lovely patio. Our server, unfortunately, was really inattentive and it took a long time to order, get drinks and the food. several servers stopped by bringing the wrong drinks/food. It was a busy time of day but our food took way too long to arrive (around 40 minutes). And then the food was pretty mediocre. My friend's grilled cheese was hardly melted and wasn't very good. Disappointing since I remember the food being pretty decent. We also had ordered a chocolate martini and an espresso martini and when the server brought it, she said she didn't know which one was which but could guess. She said she would go check and confirm but she never returned. Other than that, easy parking and easy to make a reservation. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Hoping it was just an off day.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Food was extremely bland with absolutely no flavor. And excuse me but how is one cup of orange juice $9.50? Ambiance was nice and so was the setting. Service was not all that great. Multiple times, I had to look around to ask for my server. Also, I asked for the bill, and the server comes back with his small machine to bill me and asks for my card. I said, "I haven't brought me my bill yet." He apologized, left to get the bill and provided me the bill and machine to provide him a tip. I've been to this place twice, one being over 2 years ago. Needless to say, I will not be going back
google avatar

Yelp
Went here around noon on a Saturday. The place was lively but two of us were still able to grab a table fairly quickly. The server came to take our drink order (cold brew black and a latte) and they kept checking on us even though we were not ready to order yet, which was really nice and attentive of them. We ended up ordering a French toast plate to share. It wasn't the best french toast ive had, it tasted a little bland and the bread felt hard but it was okay. The turkey melt wasnt anything special and the other dish was just fine as well. The service was great, would definitely come back to eat here again.

Yelp
The Ambiance is nice. Breakfast was good. Service is slow this isn't a place if you're in a rush just enjoy some coffee or orange juice relax and then you will be served. I expected more from this place but it was nice to try it out. Our waitress was nice and patient w one of our guests. Ty for that you are amazing.
