Yelp
A couple things, there's a parking lot, and there's three entrances that makes it confusing as hell. The entrances take you to what feels like three different spaces that are all part of the restaurant. However, only the street facing entrance takes you to the host stand, all entrances are open but you're only suppose to go to the front...think of it as a maze activity before dinner.
There's the main dining area, a "lounge" area that looks more like a restaurant than a lounge, and a cute outdoor space that makes you feel like you're at a beach resort. We sat outside.
For food:
Vigoron, yes, gimme more. Crispy, crunchy pork belly thats also so juicy and succulent. The slaw was great and you get yuca frites with the pink sauce that has Big Mac sauce vibes, but better.
Chicken Casado: Meh, chicken was cooked well, it was seasoned-ish, but the dish overall was missing fireworks. Needed a punch of flavor, could have used a hot sauce...or the pink sauce.
Mahi mahi ceviche: Yup, get it. You have the bright lime flavors and tender mahi mahi, it was refreshing and so light you may as well not count the calories.
Yuca Frites: Perfect, I'd take yuca frites over French fries anyday.
Gauc was gauc. I'd skip.
Dessert, the churros, a bit too doughy for my liking and it had zero flavor. The coconut ice cream, however, was divine. It had so much coconut flakes that it was cake like. I'd like a carton of the coconut ice cream.
Service was friendly, but painfully slow. We arrived at 4pm, hardly anyone else dining that early, yet it took 2 hours for us to finish our meals. Our drinks took forever, food was pretty quick, but everything thing else was snail like. We had to go find our server to pay it was taking so long.
Overall, I'd come back for sure, but I guess I'll plan for 3 hours next time :/
