The 13 Best Bakeries In Mexico City - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"If you’re planning a picnic in Parque Chapultepec, grab some sourdough at Marne first. And if it’s too chilly or rainy for that, come to Marne anyway—they serve breakfast and lunch, with seating both inside and out. Go with any bread-heavy dish, like the french toast topped with a fistful of berries or the croque madame with a perfect slick of bechamel. The chocolate croissants are great, too, and on-par with what you’ll find in France." - guillaume guevara

Loved the almond crescent! Eggs and bread yummy. chilaquiles didn’t have enough sauce- too many chips.

How does $65 USD for breakfast sound for three people - each ordering coffee-ish drink with a breakfast item and one almond croissant? What it seems like to me is California Bay Area SF pricing - not CDMX pricing.. Yes the coffee is good but I’ll keep walking. Imma gonna say that there is better value for money elsewhere.

Super delicious food. Chute spot. Great service. Baked goods - 5/5 Eggs and Bread - 5/5 Steak Quesadilla - 5/5 Chilaquiles - 5/5 The entire menu is absolutely incredible. Service is super friendly and great recommendations. The desserts are amazing. We tried a few different ones. The bread and eggs dish was so tasty, we had to order extra bread because it was just that good. The steak quesadilla was excellent. Super tender steak and gooey cheese.

Great chocolate conch bread - light, well balanced and not overly sweet. Coffee was alright.

We come here morning, noon and night. My family and I are working our way through all Marne’s offerings. Breakfast pastries are excellent and beautiful. The bread and coffee is great, we buy our beans from here as well. Lunch/dinner menu doesn’t disappoint either. All that being said, I would skip the bagels…being from the States and having access to authentic Jewish deli bagels these just don’t hit the same, nor does the cream cheese. However, the presentation of the lox bagel is beautiful as everything else they do.

Bakery with breakfast & lunch options 🪑 indoor & outdoor seating I had the roasted chicken (skin nicely crisped & accompanied by tasty side salad and potatoes), chocolatin (soft and fluffy croissant… wish it was heated more would have been even tastier) and hot chocolate (portion is large as indicated on the menu 400ml). Everything was delicious and the ambience is nice. It was fairly quiet when I went (1:30pm on a Saturday) so the service was not slow. Would be curious to try their breakfast menu next time!

Pastries galore, but yet another café with overpriced oat milk! Even after arriving in the afternoon, the smell of freshly baked pastries filled the air, and plenty of the day’s bread was still on display. After an awkward encounter with the barista, we ordered an espresso and a chai latte with non-dairy milk. Although my personal favorite is oat milk, the prices were insanely high—$27 for a small drink and $40 for a larger one, with most beverages falling into the larger category. It didn’t mention what brand of oat milk was used, but $40 is INSANELY expensive and feels like outright price gouging. We settled on sharing an almond croissant, which was decent. The overall vibe of the place, while aesthetically pleasing, gave off the impression that it caters more to foreigners than to locals. I was greatly disappointed by the price gouging, and although the service was average, it could have been better.

Best coffee I’ve had in CDMX, the coco latte is not to be missed! Smells like fresh bread and in a really sweet neighborhood, a perfect morning stop before heading to one of Barragán’s houses and lots of art galleries walkable! The berry bowl is divine - their vanilla yogurt is some of the best I’ve had and all berries are so fresh, could eat everyday. Wonderful orange juice and the avocado toast with egg was so warm and fresh too. Such a sweet spot and cannot recommend it highly enough! Service was so kind, patient, and welcoming. We came back twice on our trip it was that amazing.
