"Opened by industry veterans Sam Phan and Allison Ballon, this brand-new 20-seat neighborhood breakfast den at 7613 Katy Freeway Suite C positions itself as a mom-and-pop alternative to Morningstar, emphasizing Cambodian doughnut-making traditions rather than trendy flavors. The pared-down shop offers classic doughnuts—glazed yeast, chocolate, strawberry with sprinkles, and bear claws—alongside a full breakfast menu of loaded biscuits, croissant sandwiches, cereal, breakfast tacos, and kolaches stuffed with sausage (a runaway hit); Greenway coffee is available as lattes, espresso, and cold brew, plus teas and juices. The owners picked the location for easy on/off freeway access and the large housing development behind it, and the team includes trained doughnut makers (one dubbed the “doughnut Jedi master”) responsible for inventive items such as a pomegranate-and-goat-cheese doughnut praised by Houston Chronicle critic Alison Cook. We come here for donuts all the time and their service is always consistent and great. Donuts are fresh and taste amazing as well. Today I went and they did not have enough chocolate donuts, they actually went out of their way to add chocolate and sprinkles to two glazed donuts for me. That’s going above and beyond for a donut shop. I paid around $12 for a dozen of mixed donuts. You really can’t beat that price with the quality.

Best kolache I’ve had since moving to Houston. Highly recommend the chapel hill smoke sausage kolache. Also got a strawberry glazed donut that was great. They even threw in a few donut holes. Will be telling my friends about it.

I am a die hard Shipley’s fan, but I pass it up to come here often!! I love their donuts and I highly recommend!! When I need an extra bag, they provide it, no hassle. I appreciate that! With that being said, I come in often, and one would think I would have built some type of rapport. The husband, he def speaks with a smile, but the wife never smiles or builds that same rapport. It’s off putting to say the least. But others may have a different experience.

I've tried so many times and love supporting small businesses but some reason the owners don't seem very nice to me or my kids. Often feels like they don't want my business. We don't buy a lot of donuts but still I shouldn't feel like he wants us to hurry and feel rushed picking the donuts the kids want. As a business owner myself, I treat everyone with a good service no matter how big or small the orders are. A simple Thank you or a smile would go a long way!
