Marquee - Review - Downtown - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Tucked underneath the Woolworth Theater in Downtown, Marquee is the definition of dinner and a show—and not just because it’s located at the Woolworth. The moody venue has a stage and a small dance floor for live music and dance acts that accompany the eclectic menu of sriracha deviled eggs, Asian pork belly bites, carved prime rib, and limoncello pie." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

This place was absolutely amazing! Very upscale! I went for my birthday and they recognized all the birthdays and anniversaries (with a birthday and love song). The house band was very professional and made the entire evening very personal. The entertainment was top notch! Dancers were amazing!!! It was an all around good time!!! I wore a sequin dress which fit right in! You can really dress up in this establishment! The food was exquisite as was the service.

Had a wonderful time. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. The hummus top tier. Wish they had vegan option. The entertainment was 10/10. The atmosphere was chic classy and mature. Everyone was dressed so nice and their was a steady presence of customers attending. I'll be back. It's a place a lot different from the honky tonk scene of downtown nashville.

We visited the newly opened marquee on a Thursday to celebrate our anniversary. The show was cute however, all in all it was just probably 15 minutes of our two hour stay. Our waitress informed us that They are currently only performing their bigger shows on the weekends. The food was excellent… Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I ended up an hour after I left in the bathroom with food poisoning symptoms. I don’t know if it was the food or the margarita I drank… everything tasted delicious…Unfortunately, our anniversary ended abrupt and unexpected. :(

We arrived shortly after the Shiner’s show concluded and were “greeted” (if you can call it that) by some of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever encountered. Our group of 10+ people simply wanted to enjoy a cocktail or two before heading home, but the staff made it an unpleasant experience from the start. The bartenders were not only unfriendly, but their attitude grew more aggressive and nasty as we tried to stay near the bar (since we didn’t have a table). Instead of politely asking us to adjust, they muttered under their breath and made snide remarks about the footpath near the bar and server entrance being blocked. To make matters worse, they eventually called security to ask us to move along. After paying far too much for a single cocktail, I was more than happy to leave—and I won’t be coming back. A lounge should know how to treat its guests with basic courtesy and respect. This place clearly does not.

SO much fun! Performers were amazing - this is a gem many don’t seem to know about yet. The apps were fantastic, the food was fine (we should have sent the prime rib back bc we requested MR and it was easily MW - but that’s on us for not doing it), cocktails were on point. Really good crowd - so happy and friendly! We loved it and will be back (just will either get food cooked the way we wanted - which I really think they would have corrected if we had asked - or go for dinner somewhere else first then drinks & show here). Also this was not one of those super loud big band places. We could talk easily but also enjoy the music. I’ll also mention that some of the performers from the Shriners show performed here. The Shriners show was an amazing feat of strength & skill but very much a different vibe (the Shriners show was more for tourists maybe?). Both great but if you go to both, just know it’s a totally different experience.

Very cozy lounge, comfy furniture, friendly staff, and not overly loud music. You can actually have a conversation in here. Drinks were average downtown Nashville prices and they offered some light eats as well. I had an LIT which was ok. My date had an Old Fashioned and it was very smooth and tasty. Highly recommend.

Come for drinks and an appetizer. Food was mid. My husband's prime rib was ok, I thought it was kinda dry but it tasted ok. The aus jus was made with whorschestershire and its not supposed to be like that, but maybe chef made a weird decision. My son said his wasn't dry. The chicken was very good. The asparagus had several of them with inedible stalk attached. It's so easy to cut, so none of them were snapped. Potatoes were good, bit salty, but I did have prosciutto on the chicken, so that could have been it. The pianist was amazing, the vocalist was spectacular. And the ambiance was gorgeous. I did hate that I felt the bartender was in competition with the act. It was weird. Service meh. Also the big cheese stick gone.... it looked good in other review photos. I did have a good time. I got a pomegranate martini, it was good. I didn't taste any alcohol and that's fine with me. I don't love alcohol, it was kool-aid in a fancy glass. My sons drink was sour, so I didn't like that at all. Elderberry maybe. He liked it. We made reservations for this
