Rustic neighborhood bar - the interior is welcoming with plenty of seating including the bar, chairs and tables, and couches. Some of the seats could use updating - with ripped leather. Tried a mango beer that was pretty tasty - would revisit

We love this hidden gem, but they have gone up on the price of one of their signature drinks the Texas Tea. We spent $81 for 4 of them. They weren't nearly as high before. I love the oversized uno cards, darts, and pool table as well as other card games.

Sheila Cox

Google
Fun neighborhood bar with eclectic decor, friendly bartenders, great cocktails, beer on tap, and large TVs to watch a game. Also has dart boards and a pool table. Patio with seating out front. The owner, Al, can tell you about the interesting history of this long-time Houston favorite. You can park on the lots to either side of the bar. Attire is casual. Eclectic mix of clientele...which makes for a fun atmosphere!

Google
Awesome bar, live free music on Saturdays, great show from David Miner. Texas teas were amazing. Easy parking, don't have food but you can bring in your own, walked down the street to Pinks Pizza. Staff was very attentive. Plenty of sitting areas.

Google
Super chill place, great spot to hang out and drink. Very chill and laid back ambience, and BOMB "Iced Tea". Compliments to Al and the team. Plenty of space to sit down indoor and outdoor.

Google
Best dive bar!! Legendary Texas tea. I was raised on peach tea and the Peach Texas Tea is so tasty! Service is awesome. They have pool tables! Great ambiance and all around smiles.

Great place to enjoy some friends and whine down. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Just let them know what you need and they will work with you. We came here on this day for a Bday and were able to get one side of the seating area and even with freaking Covid 🦠, never once felt uncomfortable. The entire place was super clean and spacious. They provided hand gel so was always staying clean. If you get the munchies there is a food truck literally just steps outside. You can bring the food inside to eat. The place is loaded with TVs for all the sports you can handle. Chat with your buddies, drink some cold ones and watch some football. We will come back.

Yelp
I've been going here for a few years now! Tea's Tuesdays were a big thing when I was 21, everyone wanted to come here! The bar used to be super packed on Tuesdays, to the point where you were body to body with people. Nowadays, the place is a lot more quiet, but still has the great teas Tuesdays deal (remember only 2 per person!). Service is always good and they are never rude here! Definitely stop by on a random Tuesday for some fun!

Gabriela M.

Yelp
Great place to hang out with friends. I can't wait to take my husband there for a date! pull table and darts excellent service! nice people around! good location. 10/10

Erika A.

Yelp
Best bar ever! Service is top notch! The atmosphere is amazing l! Great neighborhood bar

Ili C.

Yelp
Great space with very relaxed ambiance. Awesome service and very friendly bartenders.

Joanna Q.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I LOVE this bar! I always request to go here when we decide to go out and it is so fun every time. My favorite aspect is the one bartender who is always there when we go--I completely forgot his name but he has worn a cap hat the few times we've gone. He is AWESOME. So welcoming, kind, and just great energy to be around. We will definitely be back soon.

Carol S.

Yelp
I initially came here when I bartended at Blancos. I have been more recently twice. Tonight I am literally not impressed in any way. The bartender was more interested in possibly getting laiid. I asked the bartender can I maybe purchase songs to my liking and he he said it's a pre-determened play list but knew all the words regardless..... I WILL NOT COME back.

Dominik P.

Yelp
Cocktail drinks above any others around locally. Service is amazing as well, was asked by two bartenders if I needed anything as the first was already serving my order. Taylor is great and has great drink recommendations. Stop by if you're lookijg to relax or play darts/pool. They are on opposite sides of the bar so you won't feel crowded at all here. Thank you all at Marquis II, I appreciate you.

Abigail D.

Yelp
I loved this place. First time going. The ambiance and the Christmas decorations were great, without being to much. The service was great, bartender was really nice and the drinks we had were yummy. Overall we had a really good time and we will go back!

Iris C.

Yelp
The place really surprised me. I live very close but never stop here. It will be definitely my new spot to have a drink. The service was excellent! The place was decorated with Christmas vibes everywhere. We really enjoy it.

Perliux M.

Yelp
I decided to celebrate my birthday at Marquis II and the place was absolutely, perfect. Al, the owner, was extremely accommodating to my group of friends. Service was great! During Christmas time the place is so beautifully decorated. Definitely a place to hang out!

Kerry F.

Yelp
The bathroom smelled incredible & was relatively clean. That's great, since most bar bathrooms I've been to are essentially portals to hell. The bar has a great ambiance & good drinks as well

Al R W.

Yelp
Wonderful attention to our birthday girl party! Thank you for taking such good care of our group!!!

Connor T.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink - the Bartender, I think his name is Taylor is fantastic!

Sal L.

Yelp
Absolutely love this bar! I've only come a handful of times and it's become one of my favorites during my time in Houston. Daisy and Taylor are always welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They have old school board games, a pool table and other things to be entertained with. The music is always fun a lively. They have big Texas Teas and cocktails. Definitely check this spot out if you're looking for a fun vibe and chill night.

Steve H.

Yelp
Best bar in Houston hands down. Go for the ambiance, stay for the awesome bartenders and staff. Texas teas are a lifestyle!

Jen S.

Yelp
Had to come out here to try their famous TX Tea... wow. Y'all, there's a reason they have a 2-tea limit.. this stuff is strong. Don't get me wrong, it does taste pretty good, but there's no doubt it's fully loaded :) We ordered at the bar and took a few seats on the nearby couch. We found some fun games in a stack and ended up grabbing one that had cards with random questions that we then asked each other and laughed at while drinking these teas. What a simple, but fun idea to have some old-school games in the bar! We also played a couple rounds of billards - bring your quarters if you want to play, it's only $1 but takes quarters. Our bartender (I think her name was Jordan) was really nice and quick on getting us served. The ambiance inside is a neighborhood bar. I have the feeling if we went often they would know us by name pretty quickly - everyone we interacted with was just very friendly. I was hoping to meet the Owner because I see him on IG sometimes with his videos and random polls, but he wasn't there during our short visit (in fairness, we were not there very long). so... I'll just have to come again!

Lynn M.

Yelp
We have been wanting to come here FOREVER. It caught our eye again yesterday as we were coming back from a movie. It looked so bright outside from our previous drive-bys. And, wow, did they have those windows before? And that outdoor patio? We went in and were amazed! We sat at the bar and studied the cocktails. Al, the owner, whose name I got from a review I read in the parking lot, was behind the bar. Cool! We had two cocktails and then a glass of wine. Al was most engaging and very entertaining. He know this place well having worked there for years and years and then taking ownership in 2018. He knows the history of the bar and a lot about Houston. The remodel they did is wonderful. We will make this one of our regular watering holes. Let's all get out and support this place!

Maddie K.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly and I love the atmosphere! It's a great place to hangout with friends. I loved sipping a glass of wine on one of their couches! Such a chill, but still fun bar.

Tanya S.

Yelp
This is a great little dive bar in West University. It's got a chill vibe and eclectic crowd. One weird thing we noticed recently is that when it's just our group of ladies, the skinny guy bartender with glasses always comes to the table and checks on us (sometimes to the point of annoying). But when we have a mixed group including guys at our table he doesn't come by at all! Hopefully this guy is just awkward because it's a great spot for drinks anytime.

Bobbie M.

Yelp
It's been a long while since I stepped foot into the Marquis II, and wow!! The transformation is incredible! It's beautiful, welcoming, has that chill mid century modern vibe...... and of course the Texas Tea's will knock your socks off! Added bonus.....they now have a big patio out front! Highly recommend this west university gem for your next night out!

David C.

Yelp
Marquis II is the best chill bar in Houston. It's a no frills, dimly lit, catch up with some friends, and play some pool kind of bar. The drinks are well priced and always come stiff. What else can you want in a neighborhood bar? They recently had a little closure due to construction problems, but regardless of the mess around the bar, this bar is worth it! Especially if you come here on Texas Tea Tuesday! The teas here are no joke when it comes to potency, but the flavor is spot on good. I recommend trying their island punch flavor with a splash of pineapple juice, definitely the best Texas tea flavor. During my college years, this was always the spot for everyone's birthday as a midweek, get drunk on a Tuesday kind of birthday. They have a Texas Tea limit of 3 for a reason, trust me. But although the college years have passed, Marquis II continues to be a HOUSTON BAR LANDMARK, and deserves more recognition than they currently have. This bar isn't specifically a college bar, its your neighborhood home away from home kind of bar. See you on Tuesday Marquis II!

Akin B.

Yelp
I was a regular here for a while! I've recently started living in Philadelphia, so I can't say that anymore, but just wanted to make sure I left a great review for it! Like everyone else says in the reviews, this is the place to come for cheap, strong, yet still delicious Texas teas. And there's a sale on them on Tuesdays (only $8!), so I would go over then with a group of friends! The crowd there is usually on the younger side (College age and a little older) on Tuesdays at least. It's a good place to just go hang out and decompress the past week and service isn't too shabby even when the bar is crowded! And honestly I've come in groups as big as 10 people even on crowded nights and we've always found room for all of us. Could just be a coincidence because we occasionally would expect not to find seating but it happened! The value -- I'll be honest; I'm pretty cheap, so I don't usually prefer to really get lit in bars, but this place is an exception and that's saying something coming from me! Every time I go, I get a little bit of heat for my out-of-state ID (I'm originally from TN) but other than that I have no complaints! Would recommend! See you there when I'm back in Houston

Elisa M.

Yelp
I love this bar. Its large interior and nice patio make it a great place to grab a drink with coworkers after a long day or a cool game day spot. They have lots of televisions and seating around them to catch your favorite sports. The decor is cool with hits of retro and new styles. It's a perfect dive bar with a classy feeling. The staff are so cool and always really helpful if you don't knew what to get. I'm really glad they're open again! The Texas Tea is a MUST. They're big, strong, and delicious. The story behind them is funny, too. My personal favorite is the cherry, but the blue raspberry and Arnold Palmer are good too. For a less sweet but equally yummy flavor, I'd recommend peach. They also have a large selection of liquors and other beverages always mixed just right. Can't wait to come back!

L B.

Yelp
This is a great local bar with lots of different spaces depending on what you're looking for (high tops, couches, tables, bar seating, darts, pool table, patio) and excellent drinks! The Peach Tea is my favorite drink here!! Al runs the place and he keeps it clean with a good vibe and cool servers. You can order or bring food in! A guy came by with tamales when we were considering getting snacks. They had some menus of nearby places, like Pinks pizza.

Ana O.

Yelp
This place is super cool to bring your girlfriends and/or a group of college buddies. An important thing, the bathrooms are clean. NICE. Especially during Corona 2019 bleeding into 2020, we all need a clean bathroom. Now let's get down to the drinking business. The most important piece of a bar. Usually, they're $16, but sometimes you'll find them for $8 (tuesdays). The Island Punch and Watermelon are SOLID. Definitely have more than 2 shots but less than or equal to 5 shots The bar only allows you to have 3 teas, and then, you're cut off. Dems da rules. Great way to start off a pregame or just get two tand have the beginning, middle, and end of your night on the comfy grey and blue velvet couches in the side room.

April G.

Yelp
Texas Tea, Texas Tea, Texas Tea...that's really all that needs to be said. There is a limit of 3, and I think they are like $16... but I guarantee two, if not one, will get the job done. Owner recently made some updates, so there are more windows now (less cave like). Sometimes they have food trucks...but check their FB page for dates. Parking sucks, but that's what happens when a city is built around a bar, and also probably by design so you Uber there. Small neighborhood watering hole that I highly recommend. (Note- I do not recommend driving through West University after leaving here! Nothing good will come of it.)

Wendy W.

Yelp
What can I say that hasn't been said in the countless reviews already? You'll hear over and over about the Texas teas (there is a limit btw). They'll knock your arse on the floor, be carful! There is a lot of history to this place and it has a special place in my heart ...even though I rarely frequent. I grew up just blocks, literally walking distance and I away remember stories of the cool kids hitting up the Marquee. I was too young of course and wondered if the rumors were true of all the high school kids getting blitzed behind those walls. This was in the 80s and 90s. It always just seemed legendary. Anyway fast forward to my "adult" years and was able to get in....gosh this place was a crap hole, but was wall to wall packed! Then came the renovation and the rest is history. This location has been open since 1985 and still going strong, however now a days seems a bit slower than before. Don't let that stop you, it's a great to catch up with friends in a chill environment. Oh and order a Texas tea or drink of your choice. Usually country music in the background and sports games are on. Be on the look out for the remains of days long ago when the building used to be a "gentleman club", but suffered a fire. On the wall is hangs a painting, which has been charred from a fired but restored. Oh, if these walls could talk....I understand one of the bar tenders has been there almost 20 years, maybe if you're lucky he'll share...

Emilio A.

Yelp
This place has really evolved! Al has done a fantastic job renovation and making this bar a great neighborhood bar! Jordan and Trey really take care of their clients and Harry is always there to help! Make sure to check out their Tuesday teas deal for half price Long Islands!

Vlad V.

Yelp
It had been several years since I went back to Marquis II and it was good to be back. Marquis II is your standard bar, nothing fancy. Dim lights, a pool table, lots of seating, etc. They have a small parking lot and we were able to find a spot for happy hour on a Thursday. What makes them stand out is their Texas teas (a.k.a. Long Island Iced Tea). They have something like 20 different kinds...peach, Midori, Fanta orange, island sizzler, etc. These teas pack a punch and they're known for them. They're served in large glasses, the type of glasses you often get for water, not alcohol. While they're $16 a pop, they're worth it for the amount of alcohol you get. In fact, they're so strong that they limit you to three. I had two and I was feeling it. And I'm no lightweight. Added bonus: heavily discounted Texas teas on Tuesdays.

Aanya J.

Yelp
This bar sucked. I asked for a drink and they made me the nastiest drink possible and then they were sexist and kicked my friend out honestly save ur money and go soMe where else if u come To my place I'll make u a drink for Free bc honestly FUCK THIS PLACE also this is the first bar I went to in Houston and I have to say it ruined my bar experience fuck u if u work

danielle f.

Yelp
First time in this bar and my boyfriend and I were enjoying it until the owner decided to be an asshole. Nobody in the bar on a Saturday night and he very aggressively tells me boyfriend to stop vaping (no signs or anything saying this is not allowed) and then proceeds to big ball himself by saying he's the owner. Ok cool dude next time nicely say something and introduce yourself, we might have came back but you ruined our experience. You're the owner of an empty bar on a Saturday night, congratulations. Side note - the bartender and other guy working were really cool and sweet.

Rachel W.

Yelp
Marquis II is conveniently located near Rice U and is just your standard dive bar vibe. I came in one Tuesday evening for Texas Teas Tuesdays with my two best friends and it was relatively empty. The bartender gave us tips on which flavors are the best and I personally liked the island punch but want to come back and try them all! Drinks that pack a real punch (hehe) but still have great flavor! They also have a digital jukebox where you can pay a couple bucks to request a song to be played - a cool and novel idea!

Farrah A.

Yelp
Broke? Thirsty? Need to sedate yourself from the woes of reality? Check out Marquis II--or "The Deuce" as some folks like to call it. This divey college bar is near The Village stomping grounds, just off Bissonnet and Kirby. Park your rig out front and walk into a small, formerly-smokey bar equipped with a jukebox, pool table, cigarette machine and a few flashy neon beer signs. If all that and more doesn't entice you, their stiff drinks will--especially the teas. For about/less than five bucks, you can get a tall glass of "knock you off your feet" tea (or vodka Red Bull, Crown and Seven, etc.). One is all you need to set you straight (or loopy) for the next few hours. No exaggeration. They've got different flavors, so don't attempt to try 'em all. And check out their Tuesday Teasday where the potent bevs are even cheaper. This is a great place to start your night cheaply--since no one has money these days. Do not, do NOT end your night here. You might not make it out the door.

Patricia W.

Yelp
I feel terrible we haven't reviewed previous!! What a great spot!! There is a great patio, whiskey selection, A/C indoors, amazing owner who not only takes enough pride to upkeep and make upgrades to the place but also bartends and makes an effort to remember his patrons. We have had nothing but great times here and highly recommend stopping by! If you like LIT they're known for TX teas and have some serious ones, they're on special on Tues nights, take a LYFT!

Emily G.

Yelp
Just ok. I used to go here before they were bought out and I've gotta say I'm disappointed. Never went here for the teas so I can't speak to that, but I loved the old bunker feel with the old piano and the couch, it had a charm. But it's just a trendy bar now like the rest of them. I'd say go to Bacco if you want a unique chill vibe.

Brittney T.

Yelp
Only come for Tea Tuesdays. Some Tuesdays it's really packed with asians w/ no personal space and other times it's rather empty & a nice place to just hang out. They have a shuffleboard & a pool table. The price went up from when I last remember, they're now 8.25, but still a good price for the amount of alcohol you get. The owner is cool, he told us to leave our cars til the morning and not to worry about getting towed. It's nice to know he cares that people get home safely.

Johnny P.

Yelp
Their customer service will drive you nuts. You want a Tea that'll get you tipsy??? Go get an Arizona Tea and down it with some liquor to save yourself time and money.

Ken G.

Yelp
The Marquis II on Bissonnet just west of Kirby is a nice place to have a drink with friends. We are having a variation of a Long Island Ice Tea. It is quiet enough to talk with multiple tv screens tuned in to sports. The ambiance is adult and there are areas separated for pool, pinball, darts, booths, and a living room area. There are a couple of sections with nice couches and chairs. Food is Antone's refrigerated sandwiches and chips, and I have seen food trucks in front as well. The owner, Al, knows how to make you feel welcome and make you want to come back and to share this neighborhood treasure with friends. Ken

Sean E.

Yelp
Don't step foot in this place! Took my wife here for our 3-year anniversary and it was a horrible experience. Bartender cracked two asian jokes to my wife, then refused to give us more than one drink because we were "laughing too much". The hell? Never coming back here again, and I'll be posting to all my friends on Facebook so that they don't waste their money either.

Beth L.

Yelp
Hospitality at its' best because not only will Al treat you like family, it is because there is family behind it. His passion to bring hospitality back from being on its' knees is something you should be part of and not fear because he is doing it safely and responsibly. Even with the current circumstances, there is a comfortable atmosphere that gives you a reminder of what it was before all this and what it means to bring us back to something better that we define as the new normal. Support your local family businesses. That is the only way we build community!

Mark B.

Yelp
This is a decent place for happy hour. Their Happy Hour is from open until 7ish (I can't remember) exactly. But their Texas products are $4.00. So a Titos is a decent deal. Service is fine. Free shuffle board. This is a nice local bar with plenty of TVs and the occasional food truck. Note: They will cut you off if you are intoxicated and they adhere to their three drink policy for Teas.

David H.

Yelp
Want a chill spot to watch some games? This spot is for you. With the ample amount of seating and TVs inside with a couple of comfy couches. Want a crazy night out? Nobody can beat the Tuesday teas special. Tall, strong and flavorful. So many flavors! Want to get some good advise? That dude Al will give you an honest opinion and tell you what you don't want to hear (but he's right you know). Might need a snack while you drink? They have Antone's sandwiches and bags of goodies. And if you don't like those options, bring your own food or get something delivered since they allow outside grub. Want to hustle your friends for some drinks? Darts, pool and shuffle board are waiting for you. Winning is always the cheapest way to drink, because free is the best flavor. Seriously, I've been going to this bar for years and it's always a good time! Good service from a kind and attentive bar staff.

Chris J.

Yelp
I write to update my review with a warning. Don't have more than two of the Teas here. Holy hell. I remember grabbing my friend's half drank one after having two of my own, and I wound up with the worst hangover of my life. That said... I LOVE THESE TEAS. Every night I've started off here has ended with everyone having fun. Is the place divey? Yes. But I love that. It's quiet inside, you can actually talk to your friends, the bartenders are friendly, and the customers are actually oddly friendly as well. The shuffleboard and pool is great to boot. Between that and the jukebox, you can entertain yourselves for some time in here. I'll see you again, Marquis. Thanks for being the neighborhood dive bar that we all sometimes need.

Kayla K.

Yelp
Great spot for a few causal drinks on the weekend. Specifically the Texas Tea! Loved the watermelon & the Arnold Palmer for my boyfriend. Enough TVs to watch a game. Not too crowded. Limited parking, so uber! (Especially if you're going to drink the teas.)

Jessica N.

Yelp
CHEAP STRONG TEXAS TEAS!!!! If you're tryna get drunk or just have a wild time, your butt needs to be here on Texas Tea Tuesdays aka Tuesday Teasday! THIS IS NOT A JOKE. These Texas Teas are STRONG AF. They don't say everything is bigger in Texas for nothing. These teas are definitely BIG on the Texas amount of alcohol. There is even a limit on how many of these you can have. You may not feel the alcohol at first, but they will definitely creep up on you! Don't say I didn't warn you. It may have been a Tuesday when I went but my friends and I didn't let that stop us. We each ordered a Texas Tea: Watermelon, Arnold Palmer, Peach and Cherry. We like a variety so we know which one to get for round 2 of course. ;) Arnold Palmer was definitely strong, this one took me forever to finish. I even had to let it dilute a bit in order for me to drink it. Yes I am weak... Cherry tasted like cough syrup, so if you're into that taste and flavor, then this Texas Tea has your name written all over it. Watermelon was my favorite. It had the right amount of sweetness and alcohol. They balanced each other out very well but still very strong. Tasted like a watermelon sour patch. Peach was tasty and very strong. You can definitely taste the alcohol. Highly recommend this divey college bar if you are trying to get shawasted.

Tina N.

Yelp
Texas Tea #1: This shit is delicious. Do they have any alcohol? Ayo, mine tastes like jollyranchers! Texas Tea #2: We're on a peach tree! Texas Tea #3: Holy crap, where did all of these people come from??? Later the next morning, one spent the night sleeping in their bathtub, one didn't want a hangover & so decided to intentionally vomit, and one vomited later at home, multiple times. Only one got away unscathed because of hugeee portions of carbs before & after. 5/5 would do again.

Jason D.

Yelp
Thirsty? Would you like a drink, but you're tired of the crowds? Interested in a low-key location where the drinks flow cheaply, and the atmosphere is the epitome of nonchalant? Go no further. I rolled in here twice for happy hour with coworkers. On a normal weekday it's slow with lots of space. I haven't been during a busy time yet, and I love that I can say that. They use good liquor on happy hour, which is cheaper than the dirt in the parking lot. Thanks barkeep I've had was very attentive, and didn't keep anyone waiting. They have a room in the back that I've never been in, but they also have shuffleboard and some other things to mess around with if you're into competitive pastimes (). The one thing that gets me, is there's no food. The steak night stopped after football season. There is a tamale guy that comes through, and you can always go across the street to Pink's Pizza. The lack of food in-house was the only thing that kept me from a five star. Why? Because I, or my companions, require food while imbibing at some point. Even bar food would be a great addition. Aside from the absence of edible substance, this spot is perfect for a casual drink with no f..... cares given. Enjoy!

Anthony V.

Yelp
Marquis is a good place to go and hang out with friends, but the best time to come here is for Texas Tea Tuesdays, where their teas are half priced! These teas are no joke. They have a sign that says "limit 3 per person". If you're not a heavy alcoholic, you would soon realize how appropriate that sign is upon finishing your first or second drink. There's a good selection of flavors for your tea, but from what I can tell, the crowd favorite is the island punch. This place can get pretty packed on a Tuesday because of the deal, but it undeniably gets the job done and saves you a couple bucks in the process.

Michelle N.

Yelp
If I'm not on Bellaire drinking hard core liquor I come here for their Long Island Ice Teas! These drinks are super big, but they'll cost 15 bucks for one. Staff is usually attentive unless you're here on a Tuesday! Instead of 15 dollars on regular day they sell them for 7 dollars on Tuesday's. It' usually a steal, but unfortunately I can't make it on Tuesday's because I work the next day! The long islands have different sorts of flavors, Red Bull being my favorite because I don't like super sweet drinks. I recently found my new favorite flavor Island Punch! Yum!! There's also a limit of 3 long islands per customer. This is a chill spot for me to just hang out with close friends and relax if I'm not in a party mode. Not somewhere you have to dress up, just a comfortable surrounding with TV's, a pool table, and that sandy slide game. On certain day's they also have a food truck set out and boy is Flip N' Patties delicious! I love it here!

Leo K.

Yelp
So everyone knows Marquis II for its popular Texas Teas. The alcoholic drink that comes in a HUGE glass is served at a discounted price of $8 every Tuesday, therefore earning the phrase "Texas Teas Tuesdays". Lately my friends have been constantly raving about these delicious teas that come in over 10 different flavors, so it wasn't long before I had to try it out for myself. Despite its Texas Teas being so popular, it did not manage to draw in a crowd to fill up the dark, gloomy bar, but they did pretty well for a Tuesday night. There's a policy limiting the number of Texas Teas to 3 per person, but there was no need to warn me when to stop. As I watched the bartender fill 3/4th of the giant glass with liquor, and the rest with mixers, I knew 3 of these bad boys were more than enough to get me loose. By the time I was starting my third one, I already had a pretty strong buzz going. Reason I gave it 2 stars was because the drink itself was not as great tasting as I had heard. In fact, it tasted awful. The liquor they used for those Texas Teas were the CHEAPEST kind you can find at the store, which explains the ridiculously low price of $8 for such a large drink with that level of alcohol content. It ALSO explains why it gave me the runs the next morning(and the rest of the day), and left my stomach feeling groggy the rest of the entire week. I would much rather pay the same price, perhaps even a little more, for a smaller drink with real liquor, than go back for another Texas Tea.
