Yelp
This place gets constantly hyped by people in Long Beach, especially in the food group on Facebook. I like to support small businesses, and was interested in the fact they have been around since the '60's, so I ordered a pizza and took the drive over.
It's in an old school shopping plaza and has a funky design with no windows in front. I went inside, and it definitely had that 60's/70's pizzeria vibe, which I appreciate. And that's where the positives end.
I was the only customer there, and there was an older woman out front when I arrived. She took her sweet time acknowledging me, although I could see my order sitting right in front. She finally grumpily approaches, and barks, "Yes?" I politely asked for my order.
At that moment, an older man came in. Instead of saying, "I'll be right with you, sir", she completely ignored me and started helping him instead! I don't remember the last time I was blatantly treated so rudely in a restaurant. I don't know if she was sexist, or hates women who are younger than her, or just hates her job/life, but I should have left the pizza and walked! My mistake!
So after the man was helped and left, this woman FINALLY lowered herself to help me, and she said, "Have a blessed day sweetie!" What a joke. You know what else was a joke? The pizza. Seasoning exists, try using it. The sausage had some disgusting grit in it, and I was left with an upset stomach. Flavorless, flabby trash pizza. And that's exactly where the rest of it went- right in the garbage.
The '60's are long gone, and it's time for this place to be gone, too.
