14 Delightfully Decadent Chocolate Treats in Los Angeles

"The South Bay’s Marsatta Chocolate crafts some of the most delightful bonbons in the city. While the lemon, salted caramel, and pistachio are dependably good and available year-round, the seasonal bonbons are extra special." - Cathy Chaplin

We discovered Marsatta Chocolate at the International Chocolate Festival and then discovered they were doing tastings here in Old Town Torrance. We had a great time...learning how they got started and all that goes into their process. Oh yeah....and the chocolate was great! (and also try the cookies) Naomi was the most gracious host and super friendly (that Minnesota hospitality really shined through). The Gardners are doing good things here - you should give it a try! #ApprovedByShep

Absolutely delicious chocolate with very unique options and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

A very small cafe, but smells amazing when you walk into the store. The outside is under construction. They offer different chocolate bonbons, chocolate bars and drinks. Sipping Chocolate with Almond Milk: IT WAS SO GOOD! Very chocolatey! I was very surprised because most vegan hot chocolate are bland. But not this one. I could see that they put tons of chocolate into this cup. Cacao nibs wafer cookie: This one was perfect for a little sweet treat in the afternoon. They have parking next to their store or 20mins parking in the front.

Google
I was skeptical at first because from the outside it doesn't look open. Also, the price of chocolate there is higher than you might expect so don't be shocked at first glance. The chef and family were very friendly and easy to talk with. You can tell they enjoy what they do. On to the chocolate....OMG....it was awesome. Tried a small bite of 100%, 76% and 60% (or so). No bitterness at all. Also had a few samples of their other chocolates and ended up buying almost $30 worth on that visit. Looking forward to going back.

An enthusiastic genius with a history as flavorful as his chocolates. What's not to love? I look forward to many return visits!

I see the sign everyday but didn't think much of the place. To be honest, I questioned whether or not it was an abandoned building. Nonetheless, I was on a walk with my wife and kids and decided to poke my head in. The owner was there a few minutes to close and gave us the royal treatment. Chocolates are excellent. The education I received was enjoyable. I had never tasted pure chocolate that tasted so good, I thought it was supposed to be bitter. NOPE! This WILL be a boutique chocolate shop one day that is ran by employees that don't have the passion the Owner/Chocolate Master does. My recommendation is to get there soon for the raw, real-deal experience we got to have before it's too late.

Google
Let me start off by saying that the chocolate is easily a 4/5 in terms of taste and quality. However, the cleanliness of this place really made me question if I should have even taken the first bite. If you had children and their room looked like this, they’d be grounded forever. Hopefully this changes.

Google
Visited as a conference tour and met a very friendly couple that truly care about the customer first. Their love for their chocolate is evident by their view that the customer's experience is more important than the profit margin. The world needs more Jeff and Naomis! By the way, their chocolate, tea and coffee is amazing too! Door Dash delivers their chocolates, so order delivery if you can't make it in-person.

Yelp
I felt conflicted writing a review but we had such an odd experience that I felt like it was necessary to share. Marsatta is a small business and you can tell they care about their product. I did quite a bit of research before I purchased a Groupon for a Bean to Bar tasting for my chocolate loving husband. We were scheduled for a tasting on a Saturday. About 10-15 minutes before our scheduled time, Naomi called us to tell us that the experience would be delayed for 15 minutes. We were in the Old Torrance parking lot, and this was fine with us since our lunch plans were over an hour later. However Sean called us minutes later to let us know there would be a more significant delay, so we decided to head home. The new proposed time conflicted with our lunch plans so we asked to reschedule to the next day. Then, to our surprise Naomi called again to say she was nearby. We were so confused and almost home, so we let Naomi know that we arranged to come the next day with Sean. There seemed to be a miscommunication between them. Fortunately we live semi close to Old Torrance, otherwise it would have been very inconvenient to drive back and forth. The next day, our tasting ended up having 9 people in a cramped space and was over an hour (rather than the advertised 30 minutes). It was interesting to learn about the process but we were interrupted a few times by a couple customers. We got pieces of chocolate at differing % levels and bon bons at the end. Because the experience lasted much longer than we anticipated, we had to leave more abruptly for a scheduled order pick up. I saw that in people were offered 1-2 full bars in previous years. I don't believe the more recent tastings offered any full bars. Needless to say, the chocolate is quite delicious and could be worth purchasing if you want to support a small business. I don't think the experience is necessarily worth it unless there are some changes in the organization of the business.

Yelp
I did a chocolate tasting through Groupon. It was such a unique experience! She goes over the chocolate making process and lets you sample some of the bars. Please note that it is mostly dark chocolate so if you do this tasting at night, it could affect your sleep since there is caffeine. I'm caffeine sensitive so i was WIRED lol. They have really unique flavors and it changes from time to time. I recommend checking them out!

Yelp
We first discovered this chocolatier at the Torrance Farmer's Market. Unfortunately, they no longer have a stall. They previously had a shop in another part of Torrance. We were happy to discover that they now have a shop in Old Town Torrance. It's a bit unassuming and easy to pass by. It's located across the street from BofA, on the same street as Rudy's. My husband was looking for a small, edible Mother's Day gift for his Mom. The 4-bonbon box was the perfect size. We also bought 4 pieces for ourselves. The bonbons were a delight. Smooth, creamy and the flavors were subtle. Try it! Enjoy!

Yelp
Paid $60 dollars for two people to do the tour and spent and 1-1/2 tasting chocolates only to find out there was no inventory to purchase. Was asked to comeback on Wednesday when they had inventory! No offer to ship for free placed an order online with a gift card on 4/16 and still haven't received my order today is 4/29! Called the shop Naomi was supposed to call me back said orders are usually fulfilled within 24/48 hours. Never received a phone call back sent two emails no response. Left 3 voicemails no call back! Horrible customer service. Still nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! Tracking info said label created with UPS stating no tracking info! For 1-1/2 weeks!

Yelp
I went in today to redeem a chocolate tasting Groupon with my girlfriend and we had an amazing experience! Naomi served a large variety of chocolates, from chocolate bars to bon bons. They serve a series of dark chocolate, I believe 3 or 4 tiers, ranging from 100% cacao to mid 70s. A lot of the chocolates are dark chocolate, which we quite enjoy. You can taste the quality of each product they serve. She went into depth about their story and also the history of chocolate, explaining the processes of making a chocolate bar. It was quite interesting and we learned so much! She also gave us cacao bean bits to start us off and it was nice to have in between each bar as a refresher. We ended with the bon bons and the lemon meringue was a delight! We ended up buying an assortment of 4 bon bons and will surely be back for more. Overall great experience!

Yelp
It might rate maybe four stars, but I had such a nice time discussing chocolate with one of the owners, I feel like it's a 5-star. A bit less than a chocolate restaurant, I still felt I was in the middle of a chocolate experience. The shop area itself is a tad small sized, but I got a feel from the displays that there's some great chocolate creativity in the air. There's a variety of cacao levels and flavor blends so if you can get some samples without abusing the privilege, I'd do it. Through samples I found one interesting chocolate was not going to work for the use I wanted, while discovering a rose petal chocolate that tasted nice and sounds romantic enough as an offering. I'd make a trip to Torrance just to visit when a Reese's Cup was not going to cut it.

Yelp
Went to a chocolate tasting and painting and was definitely disappointed.. When we got there we sat down to a cardboard box and a plain board to paint on there was no easels, she introduced to the painting that we was supposed to paint which was flowers in a cup nothing was set up to paint , she had to look for the paint and when it wasn't enough of the color she used a different paint color with used paint brushes and napkins from chipotle and cups from Torrance bakery she wasn't prepared at all and had to keep looking at her phone for directions on how to paint the board. Then for testing of the chocolate she broke off pieces of chocolate from a candy bar with the same painting glove she used for painting not one time washed her hands before giving us samples of a bar . Samples was so small that you can barely taste what kind of chocolate it was . This was a bad experience for us . She was nice enough to let me use the bathroom but when walked to the back chocolate bars was in boxes on the floor and nothing was set up in place and the bathroom was the most disturbing thing ever toilet was black inside dirty seats trash in bathroom nothing clean and to think we sat there and ate the chocolate samples makes me so angry.. Will not recommend this experience as they say to anyone.

Yelp
I like Marsatta chocolates a lot...but it is super frustrating to try to go in person to the storefront and purchase. The owner is very friendly and that's lovely, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes or more per customer. I went in to redeem a Valentine's day gift certificate I had received, and there were 2 people ahead of me. One took 10 minutes, I left to run another errand, when I came back 15 minutes later, the second person was STILL at the counter, just carrying on a long conversation. A third person (who came in after me) was still waiting. Most of us have other things to do and want to go in a shop, get what we want or need, and continue on our day. I had experienced this before but thought on Valentine's day the shop would want to sell as quickly as possible! Please work on efficiency with customer service.

Yelp
Chef Jeffray spoke today at the Rotary Club of San Pedro, and shared the story behind his chocolate. Most of us think that chocolate is synonymous with Hershey's or Nestle's. The artist Chef Jeffray has injected his chocolate with love and a true dedication of his life. Warning: After tasting Marsatta Chocolate, you will never be able to enjoy a grocery store candy bar again. Highly recommend!

Meg C.

Yelp
Extremely unprofessional and impossible to schedule with. One of the worst customer service interactions I've ever had. I scheduled 3 separate times, was cancelled on twice, and the final time, drove an hour to the store only for nobody to be there during posted business hours/our scheduled time. Called Naomi and she said she had no record of us making an appointment, even after I'd forwarded her the email chain in which I made an appointment the previous week. Do not bother with this place.

Yelp
Now you went and done it! I can't stand the taste of anybody else's chocolate after having yours. It is exquisite. I've ordered the bonbons oh my lord. Oh heaven above that chocolate is out of this world nothing like it on this side of the Pecos. But now I learn you're here so it's going to be a small drive to get there from the San Gabriel valley. Oh my goodness If you want to taste the most ultimate chocolate in the entire world. I challenge you I double dog challenge you to taste any of their products. And you will be spoiled and be a chocolate snob. And Hershey's will never pass your lips again. Bon appetit enjoy enjoy enjoy

Yelp
Staffs here were so nice and helpful...Everybody was friendly! We got 12 pieces of organic strawberries chocolate dip, 12 assorted chocolate box, 100% Cocoa tint and 63% chocolate bar (on Valentine's Day) OMG!!! Strawberry dip was so yummy ... and also the assorted box . All chocolates were homemade here. Sometimes, the line was pretty long... if you know what you want, I recommend to preorder... so for sure you will get them plus it gives them a time to prepare your order in advance... so you don't have to wait too long .

Yelp
This is my second time visiting Marsatta chocolate. I have to say, the chocolate is absolutely exceptional. I worked and managed a chocolatier years ago, and Marsatta is FAR more delicious and better in quality in every way. Generally, I would say that impressions of a business is important - and it truly is. My first visit was months ago during the beginning of the pandemic. I assumed that everyone was struggling during this time, so I gave the first impression of the front store a pass. Naomi was incredibly sweet and helpful and made me feel as comfortable as she could while I was there. Today I decided to go back in and get treats for my family. I walked in again to the same front store. Though the front is crowded and seems lived-in, I knew how great the chocolate was and I knew that I wouldn't get chocolate like this elsewhere, so I will absolutely continue as a customer. Naomi and Chef Jeff are very passionate about their chocolate and do their absolute best to discuss their product, especially Chef Jeff - listening to him talk about the pieces and what he was working on was awesome. My advice, as a customer and someone who truly does love the chocolate, would be to hire a front manager to organize, tidy up, and clean the area where customers will be. I would absolutely recommend stocking the chocolate so that there are more choices. There's no BAD choice of chocolate here, but I would have loved to see a more available variety. I love that this is a family-owned business, but I feel that it would benefit heavily to hire someone to help organize the front and make it more presentable for future and continued business. Chocolate and customer service - 5 stars Presentation of front store - 1 star Again, this is coming from someone who truly wants to see this business do well because of their quality of the product I've tried and supports family owned businesses. I do not know them personally at all.

Yelp
OMG this chocolate place taste insanely delicious! We sampled a mocha and 100 dark. Both are delicious but of course I have a sweet tooth so the Mocha is definitely my favorite. I also ordered more flavors to try. Salted caramel is delicious too. Honestly every single chocolate here are high quality and super yummy and smooth. Sweetness is perfect because it's mostly dark. I loveee it!!! When I got mine they were $2.50 each piece. But if you want it in a box set then it would be more expensive. I got it for myself to eat so I didn't care for the box. I would totally come back!!!!

Yelp
Just came from their shop after picking up a box of Nector of Venus and a 100% cacao bar (no added sugar, but not bitter!). Listening to Chef Jeff talk about his creations was a delight. You can tell that he really loves and cares about what he makes. Despite it being the Friday before Valentine's Day (so he was swamped), he still made time to describe what he put into each chocolate and handed out samples. He's a really nice guy who takes pride in his craft. This place is a gem. Looking forward to trying more of their chocolates and gifting them to my loved ones.

Yelp
This place was such an experience! We were running late and Naomi still accommodated us. My bestie brought me here to celebrate my late birthday and I have nothing but great things to say about this business. Naomi did a great job educating us on the history of their business and products. She guided us through a delightful chocolate tasting of their products. It was a very unique experience and I highly recommend it. At the end of the tasting we were given a full size chocolate bar of our choice. Definitely will be coming back here again!

Emmeline H.

Yelp
Love the dark chocolate here! The 98% is my favorite!! It has just a little bit of monkfruit that sweetens! So delicious, and their blue gift bags are cute

Laurie M.

Yelp
We purchased a tasting at the Torrance location and had a great time. We learned about the process of making chocolate from the time the fruit (didn't know that!) was harvested, how it is prepared, what it is flavored with, until it is made into the samples we tasted. Our host was one of the owners whose presentation was super interesting. Oh...and the chocolate was delicious!

Yelp
Amazing chocolate! Such a wide variety and great knowledge on every product! We tried a variety of different chocolates and is a must stop for chocolate lovers.
google avatar

Miles B.

Yelp
First off, the chocolate is good but not great and definitely overpriced. Second, you are really getting "fine chocolates" in dated mold designs with poor packaging and worse service. I recognize this is a "mom and pop" shop but there's really no excuse for all the issues. For well over a year, the inside of the flagship store has looked like a complete disaster - boxes everywhere, messy display case, hockey sticks in the corner, just a mess. It's like someone's garage - really bad. They desperately need a front office manager who knows what they are doing. It's scary to think about what could be happening in the back office. The online ordering is also pretty bad. I placed an order for several boxes of chocolate and never got notified that anything was ready for pickup - that was over Valentine's weekend. The website said sometimes orders on a Thursday can ship as late as the following Monday which I understand. However, I heard nothing about my order - the app didn't tell me when to expect it, no email was sent, and no apology was given when I checked in 5 & 6 days later asking for updates. These guys do not seem to be aware of how to manage holiday demands much less customer satisfaction. When I picked up my order 7 days later, it was in a brown paper bag with low quality packaging and some tissue paper. The owner didn't apologize for the order mix-up and didn't offer to do anything to make it right. It was sort of business as usual for Marsatta. I am sorry to say that I do not recommend going here and I will not be going back.
google avatar

Cindy U.

Yelp
How do I reach you, Marsatta customer service? Your phone # is no longer working, you've been unresponsive to my emails and voicemail, and your July hours aren't listed on your website or "Order Ready for Pick Up" email. During what times can I pick up my order?
google avatar

Mikiko U.

Yelp
Chocolate here good but horrible business hours. Can't even plan to go by the store since they keep changing the store hours on a whim and only to get to the store and find out "oh we'll be here from 1-6p" on the door. I thought business were to post change of hours weeks before the change. I was going to get some of a gift but now I've have to find something else. It's a shame.

Yelp
Marsatta Chocolate is a family owned shop located in Torrance. While the waits are a little longer-- it's because the owners really take the time to build relationships and get to know their customers. They're just the nicest people, who truly care about their craft! I'm honestly not a big chocolate person, but I do love the chocolates here! Everything is handmade every morning and you can really taste the love and quality! One of my favorites is the lemon bon bon. Marsatta Chocolate has become my go-to for special occasions :)

Yelp
Oh my goodness! What can I say except WOW. I needed a gift for my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to surprise him at work. He loves high-quality chocolates so I took a look on yelp for local chocolatiers that delivered. Marsatta was the first place that popped up so I had a look at their website after reading a lot of the reviews. The sound of whiskey chocolate and sea salt caramels had me sold as I knew it would be perfect for the bf. Their website had your standard chocolate gift packs but not much info about what was in them and knowing how picky the bf can be I didn't want to end up with half a box of things he wouldn't enjoy as much. I decided to give them a call before they closed on Sunday to see if they could deliver a custom box to the bf's nearby place of work by Tuesday morning. The lady I imagine was the owner (or manager at least) answered and said it wouldn't be a problem to deliver them on time and they would curate a box for his tastes! And the delivery fee was only $5! I got to hear from my bf on Tuesday that not only had they delivered it on time and wished him a happy birthday, but the box was filled with amazing delectable choices. Besides the ones I requested, there were marzipan, triple dark, lavender rose, IPA, and Chocolate Mocha stout. He raved about the sea salt caramels so much that he almost didn't save one for me to try lol! Thankfully these are so decadent that he couldn't eat them all in one go so I did get my chocolate fix- though I've only tried the caramel so far. (He is really possessive over the rest of the chocolates lol!) That piece of sea salt caramel is enough to convince me to go back there really soon to get some for a couple of other gifts! And maybe actually get to try some more samples for myself!!!
google avatar

Marilyn E.

Yelp
The chocolates are so yummy! And unique. They offer very dark and pure options and the fillings are good like the salted caramel and pistachio chocolates. Yes it is pricey but that's to be expected at a nice chocolatier place and it didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Marsatta Chocolate is a closet of a chocolate shop at the southwest corner of Anza and Del Amo in Torrance. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to check out what was in stock. There was only one person working, and it was five minutes, at least, before she was available to help me because she was taking a phone order. Do not come here in a hurry. She was very sweet and knowledgeable about her product. I appreciated her eagerness to share information about what she had. I picked up some roasted cacao beans ($7 for 3 oz.) which they do in house. She even explains how cacao beans are eaten (like sunflower seeds, you can eat them whole or break them out of the shell), which is helpful because this is not a typical item in chocolate shops. I also picked up four truffles ($2 each for about 0.25 oz. of chocolate). They were good quality chocolate. The flavors weren't remarkable - I would instead recommend purchasing a bar as it is a much more cost efficient way to purchase their chocolates. Marsatta is an excellent choice for any high-end chocolate aficionado. It less expensive than other more well-known varieties, like Dick Taylor, and it is nice to support a local business.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
In addition to phenomenal chocolate, did you know they started roasting coffee too? I was lucky enough to be their very first coffee customer, but don't worry, I left one bag at the store. You can get it now if you hurry. Just like the chocolate, this is top tier coffee. If you're used to Starbucks, Peet's, or putting sugar and cream in your coffee, you may not be able to appreciate this. If you can appreciate how a craftsman/woman can take a single or very few ingredients and bring out their naturally rich and complex flavors and aromas, save yourself a trip to the Arts District of Los Angeles and treat yourself to some of the roasts Marsatta is crafting. Super fresh, roasted 2 days ago! You can't get that in grocery stores or franchises.

Yelp
I love love love their chocolates. I have need hooked from the first time I stopped and tasted their chocolates. The lemon has been my favorite however I tried their newest chocolate that came out for thanksgiving, the cranberry and gravy and it is so yummy. I also tried the macadamia and Carmel which maybe my new favorite. If you haven't tried their chocolate you don't know what you are missing. The best dark chocolate I've ever had Their 100 dark chocolate is sooo good not bitter at all.

Yelp
Marsatta, we proudly welcome masters of the Cocoa. I told myself it would be injustice for me as a global traveler and food aficionado if I did not stop. I did. This wonderful family , the owners greeted me with nothing with smiles and that smell of fresh pure cocoa.. A magic carpet ride , so much more than many chocolatiers that I had visited in Paris , Saigon, London , etc. A smile and green eyes light up. It's time. I find the " Habanero Brookie," the few pecans left , and the owner offers us some 100% made on site chocolate. For most , it's foreign , it's mineral , but it's the best chocolate sold at retail as far as health goes. I order a few strawberry coated , omg. Give me a glass of vino please , I may not leave. But that's when the product is just that dam good Get there early , it's a small space and they sell large amounts to wholesale. This is a chocolatier, not a candy shop. Enjoy the experience and experiment. Isn't that what life should be. A rare 5 Star to Marsattas. Ciao!

Yelp
This place is a must-go if you're a chocolate lover and a hockey fan...! The owner used be a referee for a pro hockey league. He knows chocolate as much as he does his sport! If you wear some hockey related gears, he might start talk about it ;) Their chocolates can be quite expensive, but definitely worth it!!! Great for gifts and of course it's perfect as a treat to yourself. Presentation is amazing and everything is handcrafted delicately. Everything I tried so far has very rich in flavor. It's a neighborhood hidden gem and highly recommended if you want to support a local family business.

Yelp
I came to buy some chocolates because I drive by every day and it sounds very tasty. I planned to visit on my way home from work in the afternoon, parked my car and walked in. The bell went off to announce that someone walked in. I waited. Nothing. I yelled, "Hello?????", Nothing. I didn't know what to do, I stood there for a couple more minutes and then just left. It was sad and awkward. So I wish I could have tried the chocolates, but, alas, there was nobody to help me! I guess this can happen when you have a sole proprietor who is keeping a business going and can't really have help, but it is really unfortunate since I won't be back.

Yelp
Stop in and meet the ex professional hockey player tuchocolate maker who lives and breaths chocolate. Great quality Quality chocolate, quality owners Stop in for an afternoon delight

Yelp
This place is sure a nice little find. First of all. Nice people. Like super nice. The chocolate is served up as advertised, world class. I guess I would compare them to Krauser's back east. The sea salt they use is actually from the Redondo Beach Pacific Ocean. Some people have commented that it is a little messy and a bit dark. But I've been there I ran a business that was sometimes, often times, messy by myself. Lol. So I know the struggle. They put so much love into their food that they get a pass on everything. They have 100% pure chocolate not 94% 100%. Most people don't know that's possible. It is. My favorite in the store are the medallions. Great place to shop for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. Even if you have to ship it. Every thing I've ever tasted from them has been a home run! Run don't walk to this place.

Yelp
Great chocolates! The owner is friendly, and his 5 year old son had me laughing our entire visit. I like supporting small businesses, but this one felt a bit more special. Ever since my visit I can't get the flower chocolates out of my head.... like, I HAVE TO go back so I can share how good they are with my mom and sister. Such a unique amazing flavor. The sipping chocolate is like nothing I've ever had before. Im so happy my client recommended this place to me. Thank you!

Don't recommend at all. Would put 0 star if I could. Don't be fooled just because yelp has good reviews. 1) I went there to pick up items during this pandemic period. The lady giving me the item was NOT wearing mask or any sort to protect CUSTOMER. Chef was not wearing it too. 2) I pre-ordered via phone and paid beforehand. The lady even said on the phone that they can arrange what is in itembased on my request, yet the item was NOT ready when I went there at the time and day I said I would be there. Moreover, when I attempted to explain it, she cut me off multiple times and was giving me not-sincere-at-all apology (it's like "don't say anything any more I'm apologizing 3) the store was a mess to the point where I would not feel safe to buy something eatable from there; it was as if m-10 earthquake just occurred. 4) the chef did not greet me at all; in fact, he was even rude.

Yelp
Just visited this place with my boyfriend and wow, I'm not a chocolate person but this place will turn anyone into a chocolate lover. Ordered a few of their chocos Along with a Madeline and the infamous signature chocolate. Seriously the best hot chocolate I have ever had period. Order the sweet if you don't like it too strong. It's not too strong but not too sweet either, it's just right, perfection. I will be coming back

Yelp
I've been coming here since the store opened as nothing else can compare! It is a super friendly family-run business with by far the best gourmet chocolates in the south bay and perhaps all of LA. Both their classic and unique flavors are all hand crafted and it shows through in the each piece. Their homemade ice cream and chocolate croissants are a must try as well!

Yelp
If you just love or like chocolate this is a nice small family business for you to visit. Also Farmers Markets as well. If however you have a deep appreciation for bean to bar production locally, this is the place. Understated, papered kitchen, low lights. I've met the whole lovely family, just as a customer. Although I have nearly 20 years of experience in hand molded chocolate work, which I explained to them at the end of my first visit.. The flavors of filled chocolates, light and airy. The sourcing of much of the flavors very very local. The caramel, on premise and delicate. If it's bars of chocolate, take your pick if many percentages. Hope to post some pictures. Marsatta has been invited to exhibit at the Los Angeles Chocolate Show this weekend. Quite an accomplishment for a startup with 20 years in the making. Joseph Schmidt fans and Scharffenberger followers, take heart. The taste is here for you.

Yelp
First time here and so excited to find this gem! All items are handmade here at their shop in Torrance. So delighted with the smell and the warm vibe. Will be back woo hoo!

Yelp
The best chocolatier in So Cal. You have to go there and feast your eyes and taste buds. Great gift ideas too. You can order from their website. They care so much about the quality of their product and your satisfaction that they actually drove a box of chocolates to a friend since it was for her birthday and their new boxes had not arrived. They were concerned with the warmer temperatures in September that they would not keep in overnight mail. I don't know if any company that would do that with charging $200 courier fee for that distance! That's only one reason you gave to experience their exquisite creations. Enjoy!

Yelp
Marsatta Chocolate is supreme! Are you a chocoholic? Do you insist on the highest quality chocolates created with passion? Then look no further friends and neighbors! Jeff, the proprietor of Marsatta Chocolate and the amazing delectables he comes up with are incredibly delicious but, they are also made with the finest ingredients. Marsatta also uses less sugar, so you really get to taste the chocolate along with the other fine ingredients he puts into each and every different perfection he creates. My wife and I have been loyal customers of Marsatta Chocolate for about five years now. They have us for life!

Yelp
I felt like I was in the movie "Chocolat"! I don't think I'll ever buy from a store again. Ive been wanting to try great, high quality handmade chocolate for a while and no matter how much I spent at specialty stores, it always felt like something was missing. Marsatta's owners clearly understand the art of making chocolate and will educate you about bean sources and how that changes the taste. I'm so impressed with everything Ive ordered so far; almond bar, hazelnut bar, peanut butter bonbons. You name it, she won't disappoint.

Yelp
Love supporting small businesses. Love the idea of this biz. Love the vegan options. Chocolate croissants r so good at Farmers Market... however... I would love to see you guys get organized and finish up the space and succeed. I always feel like I have just interrupted you working on something besides the chocolate...like arriving from a lovely, long trip and you are unpacking your luggage and you are pausing to help me. Nicest owners ever, loving people who love their cacao...and it would be so nice if you had a focused approach to customers so I didn't feel like I want to bolt.

Yelp
What a gem! I absolutely love the chocolate and all the gourmet products they make and sell but more importantly, I love the owners! They are so nice and always make me and my daughter feel special.. The owner even walked us back to our car once carrying my sipping chocolate cup because he wanted to make sure I didn't spill the hot beverage since I had my child with me.. I also organized once a tour of their chocolate "factory" for local moms with small children so that they could learn about how the chocolate is made! It was phenomenal and the kiddos loved it! If you love high quality chocolate and want to be treated like a friend, this is the place for you!

Yelp
Wow! To just say that the chocolate is amazing would insanely undercut the experience you get when visiting this chocolate shop. Visiting the day before mother's day guaranteed an influx of customers so I was ready to wait in line. The lines was a few patrons long, but they made sure that each customer got the individual care and attention they needed to pick out the perfect chocolate assortments for their needs. Each customer was greeted warmly and thanked genuinely. It was clear from this beautiful family's operation that they are kind, caring people and are extremely grateful to each of their customers. I may have come for a 12 piece treat for my mother, but I will be sure to come back to try their confections for myself!
