Prior to this experience, I enjoyed Marshalls and appreciated the deals they offered on a daily basis.
However, that has changed and I doubt I will support this company any further due to them causing my mother, yes, my beloved mother, much embarrassment when she was attempting to pay for her goods.
An elderly lady named Carla was working the register and gave my mother a pretty hard time about an Arian Foster jersey they were selling for $7.99 (you would think they would be handing those jerseys out for free, but whatever).
Instead of allowing my mother to pay for the Texans jersey at the advertised price on the unaltered Marshalls price tag attached to the said jersey, Carla continued being condescending towards my mother by calling her, "babe", repeatedly and felt the need to hold up the line for 5-10 minutes to verify the price of the jersey as if my mother was attempting to commit a theft.
Typically my mother does not complain, but the service Carla provided was so subpar that she asked to speak to the manager on duty, Patrick, whom did not apologize for the poor service or attempt to clarify what took place. In other words, Patrick (manager) failed to rectify the situation and served no purpose in that particular instance.
In the grand scheme of things, it may not mean much, but Marshalls has lost my family's business.
