"Down the shore, Marsini’s Kitchen, located on the mainland in Somers Point, shows its love for the Jersey tomato in a wide array of culinary offerings. From special paninis where thick slices of Jersey tomato find their place between filling meats and cheeses to enticing caprese with layers of tomatoes, cheese, and basil kissed with a drizzle of balsamic that tempt the dining crowd —Marsini’s Kitchen shows true appreciation for this Jersey garden staple." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Google
For the life of me, I can't figure out why Google has never shown me this place before. I frequent Somers Point and search for food every time. I had "The Fred" sandwich for my main and the Empanada as a starter. My wife had the Meatball Salad. Speaking for myself, this sandwich is amazing. Full of flavor. It was the best broccoli rabe I've ever had. The meatballs are delicious. The roll, hot pepper relish, cheese, and broccoli rabe were all perfect together. The empanada was stuffed with Italian meats. It was light and crispy. It had plenty of meat but still felt delicate. I am planning my next meal there already. Service was fantastic. This is how food should be served.

Google
Stopped to get dinner. Some tables inside with the kitchen right next to it. Seems to be family run and you can tell by the cooking. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Got the broccoli Rabe and old bay fries to start, and topped it off with the mushroom papardelle. Pasta was authentic and was a nice portion. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Google
After one bite my wife literally said this is her new absolute favorite sandwich. I tasted her chicken cutlet sandwich and it was amazing. Recently I had the same sandwich at roses in Northfield. Both were very good but I would say this was a better tasting cutlet sandwich. Pulled pork was also very good but the surprise of the meal was the Rosemary parm fries... That was an unexpected treat! Reading over the menu, I wish I was able to sample a bunch of their dishes. Over all great experience... I'll be stopping back to try some of their dinner dishes.

Google
Cutlets are amazing! In a world where too many restaurants take shortcuts and give you frozen processed chicken fingers, finding a place like this is few and far between. Last time I had the cutlet sandwich which was amazing. This time I ordered the cutlet tenders. The only disappointment is that I didn't find this place sooner and that I live an hour away. At least I can eat here when I work in the area.

Google
Overall Great Food, Great prices the service was wonderful with a warm family atmosphere would go again. If you haven't checked them out I recommend giving them a try if you want something different.

Google
Every item I ordered was simply the most delicious and fresh food I've had as of recent. The empanada crispy and savory. The salad was large enough to split between two people. not pictured we got a Brussel and goat cheese pie which blew my socks off. The crust was the best I've had in this area. 10 out of 10 will go back

Tonight is my first time here. The vibe is fun and welcoming. The food is outstanding! I had the escarole soup and Gram’s pie. Both crazy good!

Google
What a great little spot this is. Staff is extremely friendly and the food is amazing. You can tell they take pride in their craft and use only the freshest, best ingredients.

Joe S.

Yelp
Best Itian and fusion food in south Jersey! DROP THE MIC ! Nicest owner and employees in the area! They treat you like family.

Steve K.

Yelp
always very good and plentiful. Staff is very nice. food could use a little more spice, but I understand keeping it calm for the masses.

Paul M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday. Friendly staff and some seriously delicious Italian food. Ok, so "the Fred" sandwich is delicious - meatballs, broccoli rabe, prosciutto, mozzarella cheese, and long hot peppers, topped with red sauce on a nicely toasted hoagie roll ... wow, that's good. Also tried their homemade bolognese sauce which was legit. Give this spot a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Jersey Shore and Yelp.....Is THIS your king?!?! I went here because I saw that they were #14 on Yelps "Top 50 Places To Eat Down The Shore," and we happened to be in Somers Point. After checking out the menu, we decided to go with a meatball parm sandwich, and a margherita pizza. (Side note, an entire pizza is the same price as a damn sandwich, so that's why I even went with the pizza.) I was told that everything would be ready at 6:13pm. I arrive at 6:15pm and go inside to pick up and pay. They ask my name, charge me, (side note, their payment system basically forces you into tipping AT LEAST 22%, as they present those options boldly, and hide the "no tip/custom amount" at the bottom) then tell me that my order isn't ready, and also, which Matt am I? You just charged me....did you charge me for my order, or the other Matt's order? At this point, in the sweltering, tiny dining room, I hear the head(?) cook scream, "I NEED 8 MINUTES MATT!" So, I go outside to wait for my order. 10 minutes later, the waitress comes out to ask me, AGAIN, if I am Matt, or MARK. Wtf?! 5 minutes after THAT, my order finally comes out. I get home, and WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TRASH? I don't understand how people can fuck up Margherita pizza; its FOUR ingredients: dough, sauce, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil. Done. It was a sloppy, watery mess. No fresh mozz. The basil was tiny ribbons, miserly sprinkled on top. So disappointed. I check the Misses's meatball parm, and it LOOKS good. Not wanting my disaster of a pizza, I ask for a bite of hers, and it tasted like cat food. Mushy, bland meatballs, in a flavorless sauce. I actually HATE giving reviews like this to small businesses, but I don't know how this place made it on the top 50 places to eat on the street its on, let alone the whole Jersey shore. It was one of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten. I threw most of it straight in the trash. Don't believe the hype. You'd be better off with a hot and ready from Little Caesars.

David L.

Yelp
The main draw in the area is Ocean City, so imagine our surprise that we can find good Italian food in Somers Point. It's not just us, as a steady stream of patrons dropped in for take out or to eat in (or to the outside dining area). We ordered a Seafood fra Diavolo dish, Italian hoagie (or sub), and some kid's spaghetti, and a side of sauteed broccoli rabe. All of our food was delicious, the portions were plentiful, and the service was attentive. The indoor space was a little claustrophobic and there was a taller patron whose head was about 6 inches from the ceiling fan, so we might opt for outdoor dining in the future. However, we have found our go-to Italian spot when visiting the (South) Jersey Shore.

Katie R.

Yelp
This is the place! The go-to for pizza, artisan subs, and pasta. Why cook when you can have Marsinis do it for you? Carlo Marsini is the man that takes traditional Italian staples and dials them up to be outrageously innovative and delicious! This is our go to for every event that needs to be catered. His food ticks all the boxes and every single item is a crowd pleaser! Stand outs are his signature pizzas (especially the one with pesto and heirloom tomatoes), his chicken cutlet subs (with mozzarella, roasted red peppers and balsamic), and let's not forget about the meatballs! Marsinis is able to customize what your event calls for- the last time Carlo came up with the most delicious vegan pastas that the non vegans were equally obsessed with. Can not recommend enough! If the dining room is open for service is BYOB which is just another reason to love it!

Felicia C.

Yelp
Thanks for making our date night so much fun with such delicious food and great company! That mushroom papardelle

Rob E.

Yelp
First and foremost, I have to give a huge shoutout to Carlo, the owner/chef at Marsini's Kitchen. Carlo's passion for Italian cuisine is evident in every dish he prepares, from the homemade pasta to the perfectly seasoned sauces. His attention to detail and commitment to quality is truly impressive and leaves guests eager to return. I also have to mention Mike, the highly skilled pizza chef at Marsini's Kitchen. Mike brings a wealth of experience and a creative flair to the table, crafting pies that are both visually stunning and mouth-wateringly delicious. Whether you prefer classic Margherita or something more adventurous like the Pesto Chicken, the pizza at Marsini's Kitchen is a must-try. Their sandwiches are amazing. Try the chicken italiano or the c los way cheesesteak. Also ask for a "Juney." That's a wrap with Italian sausage, provolone and broccoli rabe. With or without long hots. (Insert chef kiss here.) The atmosphere at Marsini's Kitchen is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and a cozy, comfortable ambiance that makes diners feel right at home. The music is awesome the jokes are flying and everyone has a great time. With consistently excellent food, service, and ambiance, it's no surprise that Marsini's Kitchen has earned a reputation as one of the best Italian restaurants in Somers Point NJ. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The most unassuming quaint place with the best food around. Seriously, you can keep all your fancy Casino restaurants and fake ass Italian kitchens. If you're a real food connoisseur and appreciate someone putting love in what they do then this is the place for you. High quality fresh Ingredients with everything cooked perfectly. The service was great too, our server was super attentive and very professional. Im gonna make this a habit. Keep up the great work!!!!

Salvator M.

Yelp
We had a 7 top yesterday and they were a smaller size restaurant and happily added an extra table for us to fit together comfortably. The server from our waitress was great she was kind and alert. The kitchen staff was great also. (Open kitchen) the most important is the food was great for the price. Definitely worth coming back

Shaun Y.

Yelp
Great little spot for a delicious and different menu. Went there for lunch and was blown away. Must try, I highly recommend.

Edward G.

Yelp
Delicious food from this new Italian kitchen. We had the Caesar salad which was perfect, a appetizer of mamma meatballs, also delicious. The main courses were also very good. The seafood bucatini was good except it is enough food for two people. Also the chicken Parmesan was good and it's also enough for two people. If I owned the restaurant i would charge less for the food and make every dish enough for 1 person. If you are local you'll have enough for dinner the next day.

Maggie S.

Yelp
When we drove up, we were a bit skeptical. But wow, the food was so good!! We got chicken cutlet and eggplant sandwiches and they were out of this world! Even the fries were great. Don't expect anything fancy, but everyone was friendly and the food is top notch.

Babs D.

Yelp
We got take out. The portions was huge!!! Got a shrimp (6 LARGE shrimp ) fra diavolo roasted beets salad and mushroom pappardelle. We have so much leftovers. Too bad they don't deliver. But we're definitely coming back next time

Juliana C.

Yelp
Omg this place is the bomb.com I am obsessed with their sandwiches and their salads! They're little ways away from my job, so it's a great spot for quick takeout on my way home. Haven't had a chance to dine in with them, but if you do, I'm sure they're just as great in person as they are through the phone. 10/10!!! Eat local!!!

Christy A.

Yelp
We went for a late lunch and can't say enough how wonderful our meal was ! All of their sandwiches are on the best Italian bread and the mushroom pappardelle is a must. We all have it a 5/5

Lynne K.

Yelp
Simmers Point. Close to the hospital. Easy to find. Great homemade, freshly prepared, Italian food. Saturday nite and no wait! BYOB. Wonderful service. Delicious meatballs and sauce. My favorite. Plenty of leftovers. Served hot and quick. Will go back again when in Ocean City.

Yelp
9/16/23 Foodies alert: Do you desire Italian food like Nonna used to cook at Sunday meals? How bout a touch of Japanese cuisine if you wish? Maybe you feel like eating a salad only. Whatever your palette dictates, can probably be served at Marsini's Kitchen. Tonight I started with a fresh arugula salad with goat cheese, caramelized onions and freshly cooked beets. I hope I didn't disturb other diners with my audible sounds of mmmm! My entree sounded intriguing, I believe it was a special, and special doesn't adequately describe it. Sushi grade tuna, pineapple, wasabi drizzled, shaved fennel on coconut rice with a hint of saffron syrup could rival any fine dining restaurant's most celebrated dish. This was a great meal from a talented group of people creating and preparing the foods. Moy Deliciouso!

Alex T.

Yelp
Ordered 3 things for takeout. Sausage with cavatelli, ground beef empanadas, and Italian hoagie. Pros: the cavatelli with ground sausage and roasted peppers was very good. If you are a sausage lover, this is worth trying. I liked it a lot. The empanadas we received were "Italian" even though we were told on the phone they were ground beef with peppers. So that was a mix up. We probably would have ordered them anyway since this was first time here and were interested to see how they were. The flaky pastry dough was good. $8 for two might be a little steep but that is for you all to decide for yourself. The Italian hoagie was a huge disappointment. There was heavy red vinegar taste that saturated the roll and made it soggy. Quite frankly it overshadowed what appeared to be good quality meats. My wife couldn't eat it and I gave up quickly as well. The place is nice and clean and people seem pleasant. Score is a 3.5

Wayne L.

Yelp
This place was great. We stopped here during a recent visit to OC. I had "The Fred" which was full of flavor and the meatballs were fantastic. The roll was perfect for that type of good mess. My wife had the "Kings BLT" which she is craving at this moment. Nice little spot. Not so many drink selections but overall just a spot you should try.

Josh G.

Yelp
Growing up in the area I remember eating a lot of the same food. Places would come and go and were forgettable. Then Marsini's came to town. The passion and talent coming out of this small kitchen is big on flavor and comfort! The specials are fantastic and Mike's pizza creations are on point. I advise to follow the Facebook page to keep informed. It's mainly takeout at the moment but I hear seating is coming back in the future. If you wonder where chefs go to hang out and eat this is one of our spots.

Bill R.

Yelp
Small business with an eye on hospitality! They said to my wife and I " we never take ourselves seriously but we do take our food seriously ". They proved that to us. I chose the panini special chicken bacon several cheeses bbq sauce pickles, it was awesome my bride had chicken pesto sandwich also amazing. Pizzas look good also menu mentioned pasta dishes also. We would highly recommend!

Brienna N.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Me and my partner needed a new place to try and saw this place highly recommended and it lived up to the hype. The workers are extremely friendly and you can see them making the food... they have fun cracking jokes and laughing together which made the atmosphere very light and casual in a good way! The food is outstanding, portion sizes are huge so you could easily have two meals (depending on how hungry you are of course!) Easily some of the best French fries I've had at a sit down restaurant! Prices are very reasonable for what you get on that aspect too! The place itself is very small so be aware that there could be a wait for a table, or get takeout too! I can't wait to go back and try more things! Especially the chicken park, it looks SO GOOD!

Coni S.

Yelp
Amazing empanadas... perfectly done... I'm sure everything thing is great, I just can't get past the empanadas...

Carrie C.

Yelp
We decided to branch out from the Ocean City boardwalk food and I'm so happy we did! Very kind and attentive staff. The meatball parm sandwich was delicious and some of the best meatballs I've ever had! I definitely recommend this place. It's small, but cozy & has good vibes.

Robert P.

Yelp
Food is very good. Relaxed comfortable Dining is not 100% at this time, as the outdoor tables are not the finest.

Anna B.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Service, food, atmosphere! You will NOT go wrong here at Marsini's. Co-owner Mike brought us out the most AMAZING, garlic bread! Meatballs are the size of my fist! Portions are Generous. Menu is wonderfully creative and inspired. Staff SOO friendly and welcoming. Awesome place!! Will be back often!!

Ally C.

Yelp
We love their pizza and pasta dishes, but we are constantly wondering why they don't offer a traditional Italian salad. Their salads are mostly specialty salads and when ordering pizza or pasta, I'd love a simpler salad option. Marsini's has been consistent with their service and quality throughout the pandemic and we LOVE them for that! I really enjoy their takeout, it was a staple during dark times. Very high quality and tasty food, just wish there were a few more veggie options.

Adam D.

Yelp
This place is great !!!! The staff is awesome and the food is amazing !! The sauce is on point ! Much love from south Philly guys

John W.

Yelp
The small Caesar salad hit the spot and prepared us for our pasta, maybe add a squirt of fresh lemon to liven it up. Very good spaghetti & meatballs. The sauce is terrific but way too much of it. The dish would've been much better had they only put a third of the sauce on it. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful as well as large. A baguette would have been nice between the salad and pasta dishes. Maybe they'll consider serving it in the future. Everyone was not polite, wrong word. They were very personable and just plan nice people. They've been open about a year now. Hopefully business will continue to be good and even improve so they can consider moving into a larger venue to allow them to flex some muscle in the kitchen.

Nando F.

Yelp
Oh look another reason why one should visit the shore. I say that because well : A) Why not, its the shore. B) Shore food is always on point. C) It's the shore! So just to give you fine folks a reason,or two, ok maybe a few here, and there in why it is important to visit Marsini's Kitchen. ~ Sandwiches are all on point. So basically, which ever sandwich you choose from hot, or cold, you are winning. ~ Sandwiches are stacked and packed. Basically money well spent. ~ The bread is amazingly good, and homemade which leads us to the foundation. An amazing foundation will equal a phenomenal sandwich to come. ~ Presentation of said sandwich comes on your own personal cutting board. Unique, different, and Nando approved. ~ Marsini's is open year round, so you can visit at any time of the year. ~ Bad ass hand made savory Empanadas that are filled and waiting for you to enjoy. We all know Nike's catch phrase... Just Do It ! ~ Their pasta dishes that will raise an eyebrow or maybe even both with the absurd amounts they give you. ~ Marsini's menu, and catering menu is just amazing! Which means go have fun, and order like crazy. ~ Great customer service that will accommodate to all your needs. You're welcome. Shhh I know, no need to thank me, just dive into it like it is Christmas morning. Not into Christmas? No worries, then lay into it like a fat kid to a cupcake. With Love, -Nando

Susan C.

Yelp
This place is always fabulous! It starts with the courteous professional respect given to the customer and travels to excellent food that is well proportioned with a deliciousness that has us always coming back for more. We love their salads and sandwiches as well as their pasta! If you get take out, it's always hot and packaged with care (and I suspect, love)! We recommend without reservation 100%.

Bob B.

Yelp
Ordered two sandwiches for take out, The Fred and Chicken Italiano. Both were top notch! We traveled 20 mins home and they were still great after sitting. Prices are a few dollars higher than what you would pay anywhere else for something similar, but the flavor and quality are there. We ordered and paid for prosciutto but it was missing on the sandwiches, called the store and the owner got on the line and profusely apologized and offered to refund what we paid since we live so far away and said to see him when we come back. They are doing all take out for obvious reasons and the owner was very genuine on the phone. Not going to knock them especially as the food is top notch! We cannot wait to try other items on the menu!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Very clean restaurant Owner on premises and in the kitchen Casual laid back environment Food nice presentation Fresh Seasoned perfect Will be back to try the meatball and pizza

Don S.

Yelp
EMPANADA Heaven! Loved, loved, loved. They really care about their food... a new favorite in South Jersey! Also had their Sausage & Brocoli Rabe but substituted cavatelli with pappardelle!!! Next got to try their red sauce!!!

Holly P.

Yelp
I came here with a friend after seeing Marsini's advertised on social media. I can honestly say that this is one of the best pasta meals I have ever had. We started off with an order of meatballs and a side of broccoli rabe. I didn't eat any of the meatballs but my friend cleared the plate and said they were delicious. The broccoli rabe was cooked wonderfully and had a bit of spice from red pepper flakes. We ordered the fresh pesto pizza and the mushroom pappardelle pasta for our entrees. We finished the meal with a slice of ricotta cheesecake. It was a dream. Everything was amazing. I will 100% be coming back. It is a very mellow environment with a dozen tables max. Our waiter was very informative and suggested great choices. Also! It's BYOB with no uncorking fee. All together, for three courses was 55$.

Lou V.

Yelp
Very authentic Italian food. They have some of the best meatballs I've ever eaten and I lived in the Italian market section of Philadelphia where meatballs are the norm. I'm impressed at all of their dishes from the empanadas up to the seafood and pasta dishes. Each time I go here I am never disappointed with my choice!!

Mirella P.

Yelp
Classic example of not judging a book by its cover. Don't let appearances keep you away. It's a tiny place with amazing food. Super friendly staff. Will be back!

Jon W.

Yelp
This is my new favorite place to go for dinner (and plan to have them cater our parties). I can't wait to come back here. I'm very picky about Italian food and this place was awesome First, the food is all fresh and homemade. The service was great and all the servers were extremely nice. I got a chicken sandwich and it was awesome. The bread was great (key to a sandwich) and the sandwich had so much flavor My wife got the mushroom pasta. The pasta is homemade which is something a lot of restaurants just don't do anymore. It was great and the portions were pretty large.

Raymond P.

Yelp
Left about one hour ago, second time our family ate there, this time we brought more family members. Great food, everyone of our plates were delicious . Thanks Carlo and Mike, also our server.

Tara P.

Yelp
Food was excellent, from the appetizers (empanadas), the salad (caesar with blackened chicken), to the pizza (margherita) and every single entree we had between the 7 of us was phenomenal. (The shitake mushroom pappardelle was so flavorful, the chicken parm was huge and delicious, and the sausage and broccoli rabe cavatelli in a white wine sauce, OMG) staff was great and the owners make you feel like you are at home on grandma's kitchen. All around great hidden spot!

Nick D.

Yelp
Solid 3-stars. Service was friendly, ambiance was nice. It's a small, cozy little place. Prices were reasonable. Food quality was average. It seems like the purveyors they use to get their food aren't of the best quality. The chicken sandwich was supposed to have long hots but instead has roasted peppers. The pickles were jarred pickles you'd get at a typical supermarket. Nothing special in terms of food quality. Probably would not return.

Joe D.

Yelp
Everything about this spot is excellent. "The fred" is probably my favorite sandwich of all time and Ive had some of the best in the country, its that good.

Sheamus M.

Yelp
Very impressed. It's hard to venture out of the usual spots around this area, but I tried them out and loved it. We had a few items, the Pesto Mozzarella Chicken sandwhich was 10/10. The meatballs were so good. The parm/rosemary fries were fire! Definitely would recommend

Jean N.

Yelp
Takeout only right now, but staff was friendly and the salad and sandwiches we got were very good. Eating in their tent will be nicer.

Claire N.

Yelp
I visited Somers Point for a weekend getaway And I had every intention of going to a restaurant right next-door to my hotel. Unfortunately, that restaurant was telling customers and I had every intention of going to a restaurant right next-door to my hotel. Unfortunately, that restaurant had a one hour wait time. I searched yelp tirelessly for a good spot and found Marsini's. I was drawn by the clean and modern menu found online and also by pictures. I ended up ordering the seafood bucatini. It was absolutely amazing. Tasted extremely fresh. Succulent pieces of crab and full shrimp. I wanted to finish the entire meal in one sitting but I wanted to taste it again the next day so I had to practice self-control. When I come back, I'll definitely order again.

Julie T.

Yelp
Very good fresh food, with a nice variety on the menu. Everything from salads and sandwiches to pasta and pizza. Was super impressed and BYOB too!! Will absolutely be back!

Nunzie C.

Yelp
We had a graduation party for our son and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend this company to anyone. They went up to every person and asked how they were enjoying themselves and also prepared separate plates for certain people who had specific food allergies. Highly recommend.

Jay P.

Yelp
So it's crazy to say even the house salad was excellent...but even the house salad was excellen!! Very friendly staff and tasty, well-spiced and not greasy Jersey pizza with top notch pepperoni! Apparently they cut no corners with ingedients...and we'll definitely be back for more!

S D.

Yelp
The best Italian cooking comes from tight quarters. Service was alright. Sausage and rabe empanadas were my favorite. Mama Marsini's meatballs and mushroom pappardelle were excellent. BYOB. I ordered out tonight and they delivered...
